Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Sorry, this has to be a drive-by.....last day of school and it''s CRAZY! Got to see some SUPER CUTE baby bumps!! You ladies are adorable. I''ll be back with more, but had to post this pic of Tayva last night. It was cold and rainy all day and so she had a sweatsuit and slippers on... yes, slippers.
9.gif
They were a gift so I figured, might as well get one use. She was mesmerized by the little bunnies on her feet. It was hilarious.

tslippers.jpg

eph, you are TINY! I think my belly is bigger than yours. Oh well. I can''t wait to see the Urban in white
36.gif
I am sure it will be pretty!!! Did you pick out bedding yet?

Kay, my cousin is named Alexa (like eph mentioned) and I have always loved that name.

Lili~I agree with Ella, if J isn''t happy at times because her tummy hurts, then you need to push your pedi to do something! This could be why she doesn''t sleep well! Good luck! You two are both sooo cute! I love her hair.
21.gif

Qtiekiki~Good to see you around.

Kay~I had placenta previa, too. But mine relieved itself by 20 weeks. I''m sure everything will be just fine. I like Alexa like eph mentioned too.
21.gif

Snlee~you look great!

Bobo~Little B is so cute!! I love his hair!!

Ella~sorry your household is still feeling crappy! Get better soon!

LC~ LOVE those shoes.

Eph~You look great! Thanks for the pics.

Okay...locker check. Gotta run. Be back later.

Been MIA awhile, and boy is there a lot to catch up on!

Ellaila: love the pics of your twins..so cute and it's obvious each already has their own personality!

TGAL: That's awesome about Amelia's sleep patterns, it's been a long stretch so far! I am hoping and praying I have a similar experience!

Bobo/Burk/Tacori: The photos are too adorable!! More beach shots everyone!

Snlee/Jas: Cute bellies!

Eph: Are you kidding me, your tummy is so tiny! I thought I was small, but apparently not! ;)

Curly: How are you doing?? I always love your posts!! You'll be pleased to know I am thinking of the Bugaboo (in navy or sand..too many reds in this city
3.gif
!). My only hesitation (other than price) is the folding is apparently complicated and not sure if it's as good an investment if we were to move to the burbs.

Kay: I woudn't worry about the name--yea I can see how it'd be awkward with the birth announcment, but what's one day of that vs. a lifetime with a name you love.

Not much new on my end...doc appts are kind of boring now (I don't think I have any more hospital u/s's that I'm aware of). So I'm knee deep in reading Baby Bargains and registering. Our apt is T-I-N-Y so it is a challenge knowing what's necessary and what's hype, and what we simply do not have room for! I feel some kicks now (which I love) but not non-stop, but it's ok, I'll take it. I'm starting to have bad dreams about labor now that I'm realizing a baby really is coming out of me, but I'll have to deal with that and find ways to trick my mind when the time comes (I heard music, dimming lights, birth ball can help). Plenty of time to prepare for that. I'm not going all natural, but I'm a bit of a baby with the unknown. Also loving buying girlie stuff...but I keep hearing stories of friends of friends who were told girl only to have a boy! I sure hope that is a rarity. We have also selected a name: Chloe! Middle name is still being worked on...

janine, I love the name Chloe. Very cute. It is normal to be afraid. Even though I have now given birth I''ll still be nervous the next time. Not only by the actual labor day but having a baby is life changing.

If you have any questions about what you need vs. don''t let us know
2.gif

Kay, I LOVE Alexandra. It was actually on my list but DH nixed it because unlike me (and you!) he doesn't like names that can be shortened. He's weird like that. I love Alex and Lexi. Lily's fave daycare teacher is Alexis and she goes by Lexy. I think it's super cute.

ephemery, your belly is ridiculously small! You look adorable. Your 21 week photo is like my 17 week one (which I never posted)! I will have to remember to take some this weekend and maybe I'll be brave enough to post my 23 week pooch. And regarding the Gap City Fit jeans, I LOVE them!!!!! They are awesome, I still have mine from the last pregnancy and they're still amazing. They will get a little bit annoying to keep up as you get bigger but not too terrible. I literally lived in them. These days I'm still rocking my regular jeans with the bella band although that's getting harder and harder to do so I'll be moving back to the Gap ones soon. I also bought a couple of cute skirts from Old Navy--I think they are called rollover or something like that. Super comfy and can be dressed up or down and can be used post-preg. I'm wearing one right now with a tank top and flip flops! Have fun shopping for baby girl clothes--it's a horrible addiction. I am so out of control with Lily's stuff that I am neglecting the new baby. For every 5 things I get for Lily, the baby gets 1 because she's going to get all of Lily's hand me downs, poor thing!! I hit the Gymboree outlet near us this weekend for the amazing Memorial Day sale. Got some great stuff from a few of their past lines that I loved and they were super cheap. I refuse to pay full price for baby clothes. DANGEROUS!!!

janine, I'm happy you are considering the Bugaboo--you won't be disappointed!! Yes, it's not the easiest stroller to break down so I don't recommend it for suburban life but by the time you move out of the City, you'll probably be like all the rest of us Bugaboo owners and have a Maclaren as well!
2.gif
We have the Frog in black because we figured it wouldn't show dirt and we wanted it to be unisex. I also love the orange ones and that burgundy color which I rarely see. I want to give you a clothing tip as well. Besides what I told ephemery about the Old Navy skirts and Gap jeans, I refuse to buy a buttload of maternity stuff because it's so temporary. So I hit up H&M and got a bunch of tops there that I can still use after the pregnancy. Even their smalls are cut big so hopefully they'll work. And my greatest finds were at Zara (the one on 5th Ave. & 54th). They have a very tiny maternity line but their regular clothes are cut HUGE, they look like maternity stuff. So I got a few sundresses that should work for the summer and I can still wear them again next year. Go check it out! It's a bit overwhelming because there is so much stuff and there are lots of bold prints but if you have time to search, you can probably find some really good pieces.

I LOVE the name Chloe! That was also on my list but my cousin took that name for her daughter so I can't use it. I think it's great. And again, with buying baby clothes, try not to pay full price and make sure you buy bigger sizes. If you can get out of the City, go up to Woodbury Commons to the outlets. They have Gymboree, Gap, Children's Place, etc. They used to have Petit Bateau, Little Me and Oilily but those are gone now for some reason. But you can definitely get some deals. I am buying Lily's wardrobe for NEXT summer right now! I like to hit all the sales online and be prepared for the next season way in advance!!

Bad dreams about labor? Totally normal. The only advice I can give on that is to go in with NO expectations! Music, dim lights, etc. were not on my radar at all and wouldn't have made a lick of difference for me--all I wanted was that epidural!!! But as you know, everyone's experience is different so just keep an open mind and try not to obsess about it too much now--you'll have plenty of time to freak out as it gets closer and we'll all be here to talk you through it!!

Here''s Lily and her latest obsession. We found this Leap Frog train at Toys R Us and she fell in love with it so we made DH''s parents buy it for her birthday and give it to her when we were upstate at their house. She is crazy about this thing, especially because one of Leap Frog''s "characters" is named Lily!!!

lilytrain.jpg

It''s great for practicing walking too!!! It''s a pretty loud toy and has lots of buttons to press so she goes nuts with it. When you honk the horn it does a real train type of TOOOT TOOOT and then a voice says, "ALL ABOARD". Now when we''re at home, all I have to say to her is "all aboard" and she goes straight to this train!!!

lilytrain2.jpg

CG: How adorable is Lily. Looks like she is having so much fun. I love your inlaws house, with all the trees in the back.

Linda

Curly, Lily is SOOO cute!

YAY!! i love all the pictures...

curly, she is SOOO adorable. LOVE LOVE LOVE that expressive face. waht a happy girl!! i also want to say (to you as well as the other mommies on here) that i REALLY appreciate all the advice that you can offer to all of us first-timers. it''s so reassuring to read what you all went through!

bobo: what a cutie pie. glad to hear he''s already so good with the women!

burk: love the slippers! she looks so fascinated. too cute for words!

eph: could you look any better? i swear, now that you and snlee have posted, i think i''m officially OUT of posting belly pics. i''m getting close to 17 weeks and already look disgusting!!

kay: just wanted to say that i really LOVE the name alexandra. i have been pushing for it with DH. it is so pretty. if you love it, i say go for it (but maybe you could even preemptively mention it to your coworker). i DO also love alexa, though... i''ve even toyed with alexander for a boy!

OMG - I am going ga ga over the cutie pictures in this thread! I love the PS babies - so so so cute and adorable and huggable and kissable.

Re: names - I think you should name the baby whatever you want, although I understand office politics. Hubby and I love the name Henry for a boy, but when the boss'' wife delivered 6 months ago they named their son Henry so now I feel like I''d be "stealing" it if we used it if we have a boy. Boss totally knew that I liked the name too. Oh well. We still haven''t decided for sure on any name for either sex.

I love the name Alexandra. So classic and beautiful for a girl. I also really like Alexandria - very similar.

BTDT moms - does BRU still sell the Bumbo chairs? I really wanted to register for one but couldn''t find any. Maybe we walked right by them? I dunno.

Hubby and I went on the hospital maternity tour yesterday and it was great. Got to see the LDR rooms and post-partum rooms. Also got to peek at the newborns in the nursery. So small - hard to believe almost.

BRU pulled all of the Jardine cribs from their floor earlier this week and I''m so disappointed. The crib and chiffarobe we registered for were Jardine and I really loved the pieces and now it looks like we''re going to have to pic something else out.

My doc appt today was not good. I failed the second GD test even worse than the first so I''ll be seeing a nutritionist shortly to discuss my diet and controlling the diabetes.
38.gif
Ugh. Doc really does not want me to have a large baby since I''m petite and it''s not healthy for either of us. I feel so bad because I really think my diet is not that bad. I do like carbs and eat my fair share, but I also drink very little soda (water mostly) and don''t really indulge in sweets that often. I only eat whole grain bread and eat "good" cereal during the week and save the "bad" cereal for the weekends. I should eat more veggies but the preggo hormones make them taste nasty to me - and I''m the weirdo that actually likes broccoli!

Did anyone else have to get a Rhogam shot? I didn''t know my blood type going into pregnancy and found out today that my blood type is negative and I''ll have to get the shot. I read that you usually get it during your 28th week and I''ll be 32 weeks tomorrow. The doc didn''t seem worried about it but I am
40.gif
. I''m going back to the doc in a few days for the shot.

I''m feeling so deflated right now. Good thing hubby and I are planning a mini-getaway to a hotel with a whirlpool tub in the room (not a hot tub) and in indoor pool. I need the r&r.

Jess

Diva: I had GD with my first pregnancy and really it wasn''t too bad. The nutritionist will help you. What they recommended for me was to make sure I ate a small amount every 2.5 to 3 hours. Lots of proteins. I only gained 20 lbs. and my baby, born at 42 weeks
emsad.gif
, was only 7lbs 8 oz. The doctors and nurses had warned me and threatened me with a 10 lb. baby and she was no where close. Good luck.

Curly: Lily is beautiful. She is going to seem so big to you when her sister arrives.

Kay, Neat, Diver, Tacori, Burk, Janine, Curly and LIA -- thanks for your kind comments on my belly shots! My DH and BFF are sitting here laughing at me for posting them in the first place. I keep going back and looking at them again because I SWEAR I do not see myself like that in real life... it's so bizarre. Kinda fun though! I'm wondering if I'll end up getting huge eventually or stay small-ish... I have a long torso, but I'm only 5'5, so it's hard to predict.

Neat, I am so sorry the m/s is still going strong for you... it does get really discouraging to wake up every morning feeling blah and go to bed each night feeling even blah-er.
14.gif
I found a few foods that worked for me and just stuck to those... mostly bland and meat-free: mac and cheese, applesauce, jello, etc. For some reason iced tea seemed to help too. Keep us posted... I'll send you the best nausea-free vibes I've got!

Tacori, I love the dark wood Urban you have, but I am hoping white will be nice too, especially with a girl. We are probably going to go with the Kids Line Lady Bug bedding... I like that it's not super-frilly and won't clash with our living room colors (lots of sage green), plus feels nice and soft. Pic attached below!
1.gif
There are also a couple really cute organic sets that we love, but the background is off-white because of the natural cotton, which doesn't look great with the white furniture.

Janine, I LOVE the name Chloe!! It is absolutely beautiful... probably my 2nd favorite girl's name. DH wasn't quite as into it, so I didn't push it... but I'm so excited there will be a little PS Chloe on here anyway!

Curly, I'm so impressed that you're still in your pre-pregnancy jeans!! I'd been wearing mine with a rubberband around the button, but the bella band never worked all that well for me, so I gave up and got the Gap maternity pair. I also have one of those Old Navy skirts... sooo comfy, I wish I'd gotten more colors! I'm a crazed bargain shopper too, with both the maternity clothes and the baby stuff. I REALLY need to pace myself with the Lyla clothes though!! Lily is such a doll... how great that she'll have a little sis so close in age.
1.gif

LIA, I don't believe you look disgusting! I think every woman gets a bit of a complex about her changing body while the rest of the world just thinks, "oh a beautiful pregnant woman!" Although I have to admit my teenage-acne/bacne is FAR from attractive at this point, by anybody's standards.

Diva, I am RH negative but fortunately won't need the shot because my DH is negative too. So it might be worth checking your DH's blood type if you don't know it already. Otherwise, I've heard the shot really isn't that big of a deal, so no worries! And apparently it's not necessary to have it early unless this is your 2nd pregnancy... at this point (in a 1st pregnancy), it is just preventative for the next time.

EphLBCribBed.jpg

Thanks ladies for all the nice comments!

Eph, you look great! You are tiny! Although, I know what you mean about feeling bigger than you look in the picture. I agree it's surreal looking at my own belly shots. Is that really me???

LIA, I hope you do post a belly shot. I am sure you don't look disgusting! Like Eph, I feel bigger than I look in my picture and am having lots of skin issues too (boo bacne!). I am sure you have a cute belly!

Curly, Lily is so cute! I am still thinking a girl.

Kay, I'm sorry about the placenta previa. I hope you don't have to go on bed rest and cancel your trip.

Burk, the first picture of B cracks me up! So cute!

ella, hope you feel better soon!

diver, I hope you're enjoying your nice new watch! You deserve it!

Diva, I'm sorry about your GD test. Try not to worry about it too much. I hope you enjoy your trip with your DH!

Burk, I love the bunny slippers! Super cute!

I had a little spotting today. It's very light brownish and was mostly there when I first wiped this morning. I think it's almost gone if not already gone. I called and spoke to the MW, who didn't seem too concerned since it's old blood. Plus I have my u/s appointment set for tomorrow. I'm anxious to make sure everything is okay. I wonder if I have placenta previa? Hope not but I do want to know what caused the spotting. I have no clue since I've been resting a lot lately and haven't had any relations for awhile.

Taking a break from painting.

snlee & ephe - You ladies look fabulous. I was much bigger when I was at your stage.
ephe - Your long torso will give the baby more room to grow and more spaces for your organs to move around.

Curlygirl - I am feeling good. I don''t really have anything to complain about. I just get the usual back ache now and then, and I can feel a little bit of pressure on my pelvis/crotch after walking. I can still sleep through the night.
9.gif

I''ll definitely post pics of the nursery once it''s done. We did the ceiling and the first color so far; we have two more colors.

We went to our first childbirth class yesterday. Most of the ladies were so tiny. DH was like "I thought you were small, but they are even smaller." Geez thanks. Hehe. Since I''ve been reading about childbirth & labor and other moms'' birth stories, there wasn''t anything that I learned from the class. It''s definitely more for DH than me. At least now he knows when we should go to the hospital. hehe.

Hey gals...

Just got back an hour ago and thought I would say hi. I will catch up on reading/responding to posts tomorrow but wanted to say I love all the new pics! I had to come in before bedtime for a pic fix and you all didn''t disappoint!!

Ella, no real stories. I timed it to go up there after her physical therapy which wears her out. I got up past Santa Barbara (2 hours) before her next feeding time, took a break and continued on. Curly, she must be like lily because not a peep the whole way (and she used to hate her carseat, weird kid)...I think she did sleep most of the way. On the way down, I timed it to start at her bedtime and she slept the entire 3 hours down too. The only thing that really sucked is that I did something very very bad to my neck on the way there and it''s radiating pain all the way from my shoulders, up the sides of my neck to my temples. I can''t my it much at all. So now both my daughter and I have stiff neck. Great. I was scared to drive home because I couldn''t turn to the sides to make lane changes but I managed. It hurts so bad that I am taking tylenol, and I never take drugs for anything. Hopefully this is it and I am done throwing things out of whack!!

lili, sorry about too much sleep talk! I''ve been meaning to use my posts here as a journal (to cut and paste at some point) and was just logging as it helps me to see how Amelia''s doing. I suppose I should just get on it and start a real Amelia journal, but I use my spare time right now to read and write here...way more fun!

Ugh, gotta go take tylenol and hit the sack. I had to wake up Amelia to get her out of her carseat and in bed. She went to sleep, thank god but this will be the first time we''ve gone backwards since I''ve snuck her bedtimes earlier so I am a bit concerned she''ll be out of whack tonight...and I have my first stroller strides class in the morning so I need my rest!!

I was in Wisconsin for a week...but now I''m back! We got into town Tuesday and then yesterday was mommy and me and then the Police concert at the Hollywood Bowl. But today was mellow and I actually unpacked and am ready to settle back into normal life!

T-Gal, I keep meaning to join stroller strides, I have lots of friends that go in Hermosa, but I still havent been, even though I got a free week with my stroller strides BOB stroller. Let me know how it is. I am a bit worried about running as my herniated discs are still a bit sensitive with high impact...i bet you will run the stairs tomorrow!

I love all the pics on here (bobo, burk, curly, tacori and all the others i''m forgetting! These babies are so cute! I actually have a friend that has that leapfrog train, and her daughter loves it as well. It is on my list of things I need as Ian is outgrowing alot of his baby toys. I can''t believe the little man is 8 months already! I had to add this pic from my mommy group yesterday, it could be classified as his first kiss.

tinykiss.jpg

MsF, SOOOO his first kiss! How funny. Yesterday T was sucking on one of the twin''s foot. babies are so funny. How was WI? We are going in Aug. A trip to J''ville is part of the plan.
19.gif

snlee, hope you are doing okay!

eph, oh to have a long torso...to have a long anything!
41.gif
Must be nice
2.gif
I am sure the white is nice. I *love* MiGi''s girl print and the new Dwell line at Target.

Time for T''s nap. BBL!

I am so pooped, i am still having major sleep deprivation issues and some days i just ignore that fact and other days it''s too much, i woke up grumpy..uggh.

i just scanned the posts, i''ll catch up later

luv the recent belly pics and delicious baby pics

Lili--Jadie is so cute and her hair is amazing--Bobo''s babe has a hair twin :-)

Eph--glad to see your posts again--i remember looking back on belly pics and hardly believing it. My 23 week shot (posted around christmas time) look similar to yours....contrast that to my 42 week shot i took by the lake--YIKES, i doubt anyone will get as big as me with a singleton. You look great, are you so happy to wear mat clothing now?! :-)

Tgal--glad you had a good trip too--minus the neck thing. I have had a headache from morn. till night for the past week or so and i know it a neck or muscle issue as well (combined with sleep dep.) i think carrying a baby all the time, when our bodies never used to is the problem. I know nursing has taken it''s toll on my traps and biceps. Cohen has such a bad latch that i have to use all my strength to hold him in position once he has a good mouthful. Treat yourself to a massage, you deserve it!

This is my newest pic that is putting me in a better mood :-)
(ignore the silly shirt--it''s not even accurate since Cohen is a mini-daddy)

smileco.jpg

Diva: sorry to hear about the GTT test results..mine is in 3wks. I didn't realize our diet had an effect, especially too many sweets (if this is the case?). I've been really into sweets this pregnancy...not so good I guess. I also *look* small since I have a petite frame, but not so much from the side and have put on a solid 15lbs at almost 23 wks. Eeek. No long torso here I guess!
2.gif

Snlee: If I remember correctly, you were thinking of the glider at BRU..did you end up getting one? I'm going to be looking this weekend...sale's probably over (boo), but I figure I might find a coupon or 2 somewhere.

Curly: Love the pics..your in-laws place looks like a lovely getaway from the city. Lily sure loves that train and is just full of personality and life!! :) And thanks for the Zara suggestion...good one! I have been to H&M a few times (maybe we passed each other!) and picked up a few tops. It can be hit or miss so I go every few weeks (there is one close to where I work). And yup, the stroller countdown is on...I'll probably decide by the end of this wekend. It's the Bugaboo Frog vs. Maclaren Techno XLR or the Bugaboo with cheaper version of Maclaren at some point. For us, it's a quetion of how soon we will move to the burbs, could be 3-6mo's after baby's arrival (due to tiny apt!!). And here I was thinking I had come across some great compromise by adding an umbrella Maclaren if we get a Bugaboo..meanwhile turns out most of NYC does this!
emsmile.gif

Thanks for all the nice things about our name choice! My DH's name is a bit long, so the first name had to be somewhat short!

Just a quick drive by to say that I haven''t vanished! Amelia and I had to return to hospital for a few days - I had some problems and she was jaundiced, which made her too sleepy to feed properly so her weight dropped alarmingly and she got a little dehydrated. I was shocked at how quickly she got ill, since we have twice daily home care visits from our midwife, it was literally overnight.

We''re home again now and doing fine. She''s thriving now, so I''ll post some more pics when I have a little more time.

Jen

MrsMitchell~I''m glad everything is okay! Looking forward to seeing some pics.
30.gif

Janinegirl~It''s perfectly natural to be scared. I had crazy dreams my entire pregnancy. I was scared of the unknown...the most scared of pushing the baby out with an epidural...I didn''t think I''d know what to do. But, I did, and everything was fine and I have absolutely NO fear of birth the next time.

Curly~Lily is such a doll. I''ll have to add that to list of toys that grandma can get Miss Tayva.
2.gif

Diva~Sorry about the crib and the GD test. I''m sure the nutritionist will help and it''ll be easier than you think. Sorry you''re having a rough day. Enjoy your getaway!
2.gif

Tgal~Glad you had a smooth trip. Tayva is always great in the car. She usually doses off if she''s sleepy or entertains herself. Sorry about your neck. Hope it''s just a kink and works itself out.

msflutter~That pic of the "first kiss." SOOOO cute!

Jas12~Sorry you''re still struggling with sleep and Co''s latch isn''t so good. At least your getting killer arms.

3.gif
And that smiley pic is so cute!

Oh, and Eph, we picked out that bedding too! It''s so cute and not over-the-top girly. We would have registered for it, but my mom asked to sew our bedding and curtains so we ended up just buying fabric instead.
21.gif

MrsF, awwww first kiss picture is adorable! So cute!

MrsM, I hope you''re doing okay and am glad Amelia is doing better.

janine, I did look into buying a glider at BRU last weekend but didn''t get one. That''s because they have any in stock!!
29.gif
I am mad at them. Apparently they are having issues with Dutailier and they aren''t sending BRU''s warehouse any gliders so every one we had them check wasn''t in stock. Another couple was having the same issue as us. What''s the use of having a sale if more than half the gliders on the floor aren''t in stock!?
20.gif
Why even have Dutailier''s on the floor if you can''t purchase them!? He could have told me none of the Dutailier''s are in stock before I sat in it for a long time thinking about purchasing it! Now I''m thinking about getting the Shermag glider from Costco. For $300, you get a glider and ottoman. Much cheaper than the BRU Dutailier and reviews are pretty good for Shermag.

Morning all. Having a rough couple of days w/ my mom. I love the woman, but, as I''ve mentioned, she''s got boundary issues. She also has (due to her parents) an insatiable need to be adored/appreciated. This comes across as her always needing to be best at everything. All of this combined to some difficult interactions w/ my peer group since she moved out here. The other day she ran into my MOH (that friendship has sadly faded, but it needed to for my mental health)...and MOH spent 15 minutes essentially "tattling" on me...it''s my fault the friendship died, I''m a difficult person to get along with, she''s offended I didn''t tell her I was pregnant (again, the friendship has died long before I got preg)...

Anyway, my mom, rather than do what I would hopefully do for my own kids in a similar situation (i.e. excuse myself, tell MOH to take it up with me, or just gently stick up for my kid), my mom said she felt very sympathetic and let this woman go on and on while she stood there nodding. Now the MOH is sending my mom all sorts of those "friendship" emails (ya know, the schmoopie kind with pictures of unicorns farting rainbows).

I have talked to my mom about this sort of thing in the past and tried to put it all on me, how uncomfortable it makes me, and she tends to respect my boundaries for, like, a week. I asked her this time why she didn''t just excuse herself, rather than encourage MOH to go on and on.

"I felt sorry for her. She''s pathetic." Which translates really into my mom starting a friendship with her (she''s done this before).

It''s rather upsetting and embarrassing.

Ok, end totally irrelevant rant...I should probably have started an entirely different thread for that, but I''m feeling lazy
2.gif

Babies are doing fairly well. I''ve put on 25 pounds so far and I''m feeling like a big ol'' cow. Twin moms (ella): does the weight gain slow down at all????

QT -- Yea for the nursery. I cannot believe you are only 10 weeks away!
Kay -- ugh. 3 hour US? Yikes! I hear ya on the no nookie. Sorry about that too. I think everyone has given you some great opinions about the name situation.
Snlee -- how are you today? Is today the BIG U/S ??? (I''m a little behind...I''ll catch up) You look so darned tiny!!!!!! I hear you w/ round ligament pain. That''s no joke, it hurts like a mutha, doesn''t it?
LIA -- LOL about your nurse. I''ve actually gotten more comments on my pregnant b**bs than my pregnant belly. Your husband sounds like a funny guy.
19.gif

Bobo -- OMG...how do you not just kiss that face all day? Great pictures!
msb -- thanks! how are you?
mela -- I''m keeping my toes crossed for you, honey!
ella -- are you feeling better yet? Sigh. I wish I were closer, I''d come over with some soup, a cheesy movie, and a great desire to watch the babies so you could rest!
Litchick -- gorgeous shoes!
Eph -- ok, seriously, are these your prepreggo pictures? Where''s the belly, girl? I looked like that before I got knocked up!!!! You''re so in shape! Yea! We got tons of onesies...boys'' clothes are nowhere near as fun as girl clothes, so I''m jealous!

Time to do some arm exercises...bbl

Ephemery, Alexa is really pretty too, I’ll have to add that to our list. My husband also laughs at me for wanting to take and post belly shots.

Neatfreak, glad you have a nice doctor. I love mine.

Diver, we need watch pics. I want to see the Cartier style watch.

Burk, love the pic of her staring at the bunny slippers – too cute! I am hoping the previa will resolve itself. They noticed it when I had my NT Scan at 13 weeks, and it is still there at 20 weeks, but I still have time.

Janine, Chloe is a beautiful name. I have been having crazy dreams too.

Curly, Lily is so adorable on her train! My parents were like your husband – they insisted on picking a name for me that couldn’t be shortened. Meanwhile, I’m not so crazy about my name.

LIA, I mentioned to DH that we could use Alexander for a boy if we ever have one, but he looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned using Lex as a nickname. (Okay, so I think Lex on Smallville is kind of sexy, I guess I like the bad boys.

Diva, sorry to hear about the GD test. My blood is O negative and DH is positive, so I have to get the Rhogam injections. I had the first one after my amnio (because of risk of blood barrier being crossed) and it wasn’t bad at all (and I am a chicken with needles). I am supposed to have another one at the beginning of the 3rd trimester, and then the last one after the baby is born if she is Rh +. They give you the shots so that you won’t develop antibodies during your first pregnancy/labor that would attack a second baby that has Rh + blood. Do you know your husband’s blood type?

Snlee, how was your u/s?

Qtiekiki, Husbands do say stupid things sometimes. I was commenting a few days ago about not gaining any weight, and DH said my body must have decided I gained enough before the pregnancy. Then he tried to retract and say he didn’t mean it like it sounded.

TGal, I hope your neck gets better soon.

MsF, that first kiss shot is so adorable!

Jas12, Co looks so happy in that shot.

MrsM, glad everything is ok now. Can’t wait to see more pics.

Jas, ROFL re “pictures of unicorns farting rainbows.” Sadly, moms aren’t always great about respecting our boundaries.

sorry to be here so sporadicly guys -- I was totally going to get caught up on wednedsay and my day got away from me (it''s called cleaning -- yuck!! my mom arrives next thursday and will be staying here for a couple of nights while she''s closing on her house and moving in...) I really didn''t want to be stuck with it all next week b/c my energy level comes and goes with this big belly! I know i''m overdue for a belly shot, huh??

Moving on, though...yesterday morning after work I had a dentist appt. So when the receptionist asked me what I was there for I told her "just a cleaning, we''re not doing x-rays today" and she said "oh are you pregnant?" (she hadn''t looked at me yet) and I said yes and when she looked up, she exclaimed "you''re about to have it aren''t you?" --- ok this was the good part --- so of course I smiled and told her I wasn''t due til October and she was (LOUDLY!) like "un-hhhhhhh! what, are you having TRIPLETS??" So she wasn''t suprised that it was twins but then I was the talk of the whole office for the rest of my visitsilly That was the only fun part though...

As soon as I got home I started throwing up -- violently! I couldn''t even keep a single drink of water down and hit that point where I was dry-heaving (sorry, gross, but OH SO painful pregnant) --- i was just miserable. I canceled this morning''s lessons and finally am starting to feel a bit better.... but my body feels torn to shreds like I was in a huge fight or something. I was worried about the girls, but I''ve felt them move so I think they''re ok --- my dr''s nurse wants me to stay on a liquid diet for 24 hours though. I got really dehydrated too --- 5 pounds lost in a day!

Jackie -- I immediately thought of your two boys when we found out about the girls -- an arranged marriage would save us all a lot of heartache!

All the latest PS pics have just made my day catching up! Ella -- I cannot wait to experience that beautiful twin love -- precious!!

I hope you are all doing better than me... be back tomorrow!!

snlee, could they give you a rain check?

MrsM, hope you are adjusting! Sorry to hear their were complications. I understand from experience. I thought we were NEVER going to be released! Take care of yourself lady!

Diva, sorry to hear about the GD!

Jas12, Co is a cutie!

Jas, you look great. STOP weighing yourself! You got two babies in there.

Kay, sorry about your complications. My name was chosen b/c my parents hate nicknames too. I wanted one so bad when I was younger! I guess you always want what you can''t have.

Jen, people are so annoying! Sorry you aren''t feeling great. Hope you feel better soon.

Q, I took a pic of the boon for you. Just have to remember to upload it.

So for my news....SHE''S CRAWLING!!!! I can''t believe it! I dropped a receipt on the floor and she hauled a$$ to get it. Mmmm....paper....yummy...after I pried it out of her mouth we tried it again and she went for it. She was moving all over the place. It''s more of an army crawl and she doesn''t move her left arm AT ALL. So she veers one way but she can get to where she wants to go. So now the baby proofing needs to be a REALITY! My MIL informed me early crawlers are early walkers
