congrats on clearance to travel! I''m jealous...only thing is you''ll have to avoid some of the lovely food (cheeses, wines, ham sandwiches). But you can still eat all the chocolate croissants you want! I didn''t read all the links the ladies have provided for you, but if it were me, my main concern would be comfy shoes (lots of walking will be involved), hydration and some kind of medical contact in case of emergency. I lived in Paris some years ago and the American Hospital in Paris is a good place to go should anything unexpected happen--at least you will not have to worry about language barrier or medical standards. It is a world reknowned hospital, but not sure how insurace would work.
