DD, I know what you mean about pools being unpleasant. They''re so noisy and crowded. The good thing about them (unlike the beach) is that everyone is so busy swimming that they hardly pay attention to what you''re wearing or how you look. Plus, I have terrible eyesight, so I swim in a blurry world. I''m also a bit of a prude, and taking off my clothes in the locker has definitely taught me to be less self-conscious about my body. Lucky you if your husband decides to swim, too. I''m always trying to get my husband to exercise with me, but he prefers bicycling (I''m too slow for him). It''s so true, having a supportive husband who genuinely thinks you''re the hottest person on the planet is absolutely essential to getting through this next year or so. Plus, self-confidence makes people take notice of how gorgeous you really truly are. I learned that back in college and found that it was hard to keep the boys away after I stopped hiding in baggy clothes.
Every time I see an u/s, I breathe a sigh of relief. It still seems unreal without a bump or baby movements. But that heart beating is such a wonderful sight. I won''t be telling people at work until October or so, although there''s at least one person in the department who knows already. I should probably tell them in case there are medical issues, but at the same time, I figure the news will travel through the dept. whether or not I say anything.
sbde, hooray on 17 weeks! I can''t believe how time is zipping by.
Jen, it definitely sounds like jas'' babies are at a great weight. Low birth weights make me so nervous, and to see twin mamas who are so dedicated to growing healthy babies is very inspiring. I hope you can have a VBAC. Is there a way to turn Sophie pre-delivery, or is it too tricky with twins? A friend of mine had her baby turned a few weeks before she delivered, to her great relief.
