yeah, that''s about the same info they gave me which is why I was kinda bummed that they measured me at 24 the first time i went in since anything below 24 is fine. They were not overly concerned about it but their policy is to required monitoring twice a week for the rest of the pregnancy for anyone who measures 24 or above even if it goes down later. oh well.Date: 2/14/2009 5:57:27 PM

The index they used was a little different, but I think it translated to 27, which they labelled as mild to moderate... typical levels are 7.8 to 24 at 38 weeks gestation. Don''t forget, it is normal for level to increase up until 37 weeks, so yours may change until that time. After that they typically go down, so we are hoping this natural decrease happens for me!Date: 2/14/2009 5:32:58 PM

DD, sorry to hear you''ve Polyhydramnios as well! Did they tell you how much fluid you have? they usually measure in centimeters. My fluid has fluctuated a bit since they diagnosed me, I was at 24 cm 2 weeks ago, then 22 last week, and 24 again yesterday so I think it''s very possible for it to go down for you and I hope it does! Bummer that you wont be able to deliver at home though... I''ll be sending my best wishes your way this week in the hopes that the fluid goes down and your body starts getting ready on it''s own!!
Robbie, mine''s the one with the metro bag. I think the difference between the backpack and metro bag is that the electric pump is attached to the backpack whereas with the metro back you can remove it. Click here for more info on that.Date: 2/14/2009 9:11:05 PM

Thanks, Mrs! DH really liked the dress when I wore it out to dinner tonight. I just registered for the same pump. SIL came with us and she said she loved it. I got the one with the backpack. Which did you get? We registered for the snugrider too, but with the safeseat. Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but if she stays breach, does that mean a definite c-section or do they let you try to go vaginally?

Pandora nice list! The only thing I might think about is getting a little bath for baby. They are cheap, and kitchen sinks are notoriously filthy! LOL! I am not a germaphobe, but I don''t know if I would sump our baby in there! Maybe the bathroom sink...
My new due date, they have completely thrown out my old one in favour of the early u/s results. The interesting thing in my mind about due dates is that, I suppose, they are to indicate that the baby is ready to live outside the womb. Well, our baby is ready, so then does it matter when the due dates were? Anyways, nothing is set in stone yet, we shall see how things progress over the next week. Basically, I want to hear their reasoning for things. Statistics are good, but in the end you cannot predict an individual''s expereinces from them, and so I am interested to hear their particular takes on how things should progress for me. I think a lot is going to depend on the results of the next u/s.Date: 2/16/2009 6:03:45 PM

DD - are they going by your original due date or your adjusted one in terms of scheduling an induction?
I can really understand your frustration and hopefully talking to your midwives about it will help. And my OB did a fear-based ''If your baby doesn''t turn we''ll need to do a c-section or there could be significant risks to the baby'' when I was still 29 weeks and baby stilll had PLENTY of time to turn. I don''t know why they have to talk that way.
