Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Mela- ooo how I love bling! Can''t wait to see it! I will get it after birth :)

Update-went for another fetal echo today and regret going..nothing changed...still have the ecogenic focus "bright spot" there and it can still mean a number of things or it can be nothing but a calcification...so now im upset and crying again that it can be a marker for downs!...and I regret not doing amnio..if I knew that there could be markers other than what they can see in nt scan I would''ve done it!...likelihood is very low bc of my nt score but still this is upsetting and im devastated.

Mandarine- If you can wait until at least the second trimester, that''s probably what is advised. I had to have a root canal the WEEK I found out I was pregnant and it was really stressful. My regular dentist said they wouldn''''t even do them until the 2nd tri, but I was in so much pain there was no way I could wait. I called my OB/GYN who assured me it was okay, but there were certain precautions about what kind of stuff they could use and what I could take. For example, lidocaine was okay but nothing with epinephren (sp?) in it. And I could take Vicodin, crazily enough, but not Advil. Never take Advil when preggo. And if you can avoid having x-rays, do, but if you have to do it they just have to drape you with like 3 sheilds. Anyways- if you can wait, do so but if not, don''t stress.

Phoenix- Ha!!!! My HOME size is a 2 bedroom townhouse. So we do have an extra bedroom for a baby, but there is really only one room downstairs (open living room/kitchen) and both bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. We can do it, but DH and I and our dog are already on top of each other. But we definitely won''t make a bad deal just to buy a house. I am a bit picky, so it just took us forever to find this one. We''ll see!

Gak NYC. Sorry to hear the echo didn''t go as well as you''d hoped. Hopefully, it''s just a mean ol'' calcification. Try to think positively...I know that must be hard. I ALWAYS say, try not to worry until there is something to worry about....that is my motto. Hang in there girl.
Is there anything else they can do to get a more conclusive result? Or do you have to wait until the birth?

yep they have to wait until birth to tell me exactly if its nothing or if its smthg...i researched it and mostly its nothing but im such a worrier as it is and this isnt helping! i know i had a great NT scan and there was nothing abnormal and bloodwork was good and im 26 so duno just have to wait it out nothing else to do
8.gif

i wish docs could really be straight out with u and say u know i think its really nothing ..i mean they know! but they cant and have to tell u all the possibilities..which causes confusion and worse urgh! the tech was surprised that i was coming in for a followup even..shes like the docs HAVE to tell u those risks but please thats nothing. so i duno what to think anymore.

Nyc, I''m also sorry to hear that it didn''t go as you hoped. But it really sounds that chances are that it''s nothing. Hang in there.

Mela - gorgeous! Lucky ducky!
Sabine - hope everything''s fine with your friend, but 36+ weeks is really pretty safe.

Robbie - I hate that places take so long to bill! I still haven''t received bills for either of my hosptial visits, and I feel like it''s definitely been long enough. I want to know how much we''re going to have to pay.

Boobs: Started at an A, and I think I''m at a D or so at the moment. My rib cage has expanded at least 4 inches - wow.

Baby hands in pelvis: I can often feel movement down there, or localized pressure, between the head and my pelvic bone. It''s weird to think of trying to train my baby!

Contractions: Went away for a few weeks and have been continually picking up this week. This morning I had 4 within half an hour of getting up, then they died down a little bit, then got more frequent. So I started timing them and had 6 in that hour. My midwife had me take some stuff that calmed them down. But they''re not doing anything (phew) - it''s just a pain in the butt. I''ve been doing occasional cervical checks in the bathroom for reassurance, which reminds me of my TTC CM scooping days. And I am now 34 weeks - so if they did turn into something, the hospital wouldn''t try to stop it. Woah. Craziness.

So, can I just tell you all how excited I am for baby belly bump picture Friday to be here?

So I think I have officially popped (or as my a**hole boss told me yesterday "i''ve really expanded the last few days")! The difference in my belly from last week to this week is crazy!! And I''m finally feeling movement above my belly button!

Hey Sabine-appt is in an hour at 9:30
36.gif

I''m giving my last cup of water the evil eye and chanting "I will not pee on myself. I will not pee on myself."

I woke up really early but not from excitement. My mom was doing my laundry. She had all of my clothes on the floor separated and doing laundry. At 6:30AM. I don''t know what it is about moms and needing to clean their children''s house.

We''re giong to head out in a few minutes though so that I can get there early. See you all soon!

good luck Fiery! I still say team BLUE

I''m going with girl for Fiery (another mango consumer KTFU with a girl here)

and boy for China!

Fiery, I''m guessing girl. I figure if I keep guessing girl I have to be right with at least one person, right? Good luck! Can''t wait to hear the results!!!

Hi ladies, how are you all?

My body is pretty messed up right now what with the nasty cold/infection that wont go away and this awful rash that I''ve developed on my arms and belly... On Tuesday I had 3 dr''s appointments: my regular weekly OB appointment at which they gave me a prescription for antibiotics and suggested that they don''t think my rash is PUPPS (a rash than 1% of pregnant women get), then a u/s to measure my fluids and the baby (fluids were at 23 and the baby measured 6 pounds, 5 oz), and finally fetal monitoring... It was a long day.

I''m still not over the infection and the rash has gotten worse and is terribly itchy... So I''m going to a dermatologist tomorrow.

I''ve begun to notice stretch marks on my lower belly and am just feeling VERY large. I feel like the next 3 weeks are going to be very difficult. The baby is still breech and has lots of room so she moves around all the time and I''m just feeling kinda pessimistic about her getting into position like I need her to... I''m very encouraged that she''s so active and that she''s still growing well and right on target for her gestational age but the pregnancy is just getting really tiresome. Hopefully they can figure out what this rash is tomorrow and I start feeling better soon.

Ebree and Mandarin, welcome and congrats to you both!! We''re glad to have you here with us!

mela, your push present is beautiful!

phoenix, I hope the morning sickness doesn''t stay!

nyc, sorry about the echo! try not to worry about it

Blen, I''m amazed at how much your boobs have grown! crazy!

Sapphire & cdt, you both look great!

fiery, enjoy the u/s!

Pandora, congrats on finding a new attorney - I hope he does a great job for you!

I hope everyone else is well!

mrs
37 weeks

Mrs- I feel ur pain bc im soooo over this already and wanting it to be over. Hopefully the meds will work and u will feel better during the last stretch..3 more wks!..that''s nothing...I have 4 more weeks to be in the safe zone so im with ya on the weekly countdown ;)
Feel better!

NYC, sorry to hear the fetal echo results weren''t able to confirm that it is nothing, but I''m hopeful for you that it will be!

Cdt and Sapphire, great shots! Cdt, you''ve definitely finally popped! I''ll post a shot of myself when I get home from work.

Mrs., you are definitely in the home stretch, and I think it''s totally normal for you to be feeling ready for it to be over with. So sorry to hear about the illness and rash, as I''m sure that''s making it soooo much worse!

As for me, my friend was actually sent home from the hospital since she was doing so well! Yay! My nose is still super stuffy and NOTHING is helping, but other than that I''m feeling a bit more energetic!

Fiery, any update yet????

Mandarine, I'd talk to your dentist and see if he/she even gives you an option of doing anything right now. Mine won't even do a cleaning unless you're in 2nd tri and prefers to wait on everything that isn't an emergency until after the baby is born. He found a spot that he's watching at my last appointment, but since it's not really giving me problems now he wants to wait until baby's here which is fine with me!

Phoenix, it seems like eating constantly (little meals throughout the day) can really help some people with the nausea. It's worth a shot!

NYC, sorry to hear that the echo wasn't more comforting. I think I've heard though that one soft marker doesn't really mean anything, it's when there are a few present that they start to get concerned. Is this the only one?

Blen, after all that complaining the bill was waiting for me when I got home! LOL. I guess my hospital (well, the imaging center part at least) bills promptly unlike stupid Quest who I go to for blood work. It's crazy to think that you could have your baby here so soon!

CDT, cute bump! My boss made a similar comment to me, but in his defense he hasn't seen me in a few weeks, so there's been a pretty huge change.

Mrs, sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. Good luck at the derm! I hope they can figure out what's wrong.

Sapphire, you look so cute!

Fiery, you need to get a cell phone with internet capabilities (if you have one, shame on you for not posting immediately, lol)! The suspense is killing us all!

Here's my belly pic friday shot. I felt like I grew a ton this week, but comparing it to my photo from last week, I think I actually looked bigger then. Oh well.

ETA: 21w6d today! Funny random tidbit of info about my belly shots: I'm so used to seeing the way I look from shots in the mirror that now when I take a picture of myself using the camera's timer I go into photoshop and flip the image so that my bangs don't look backwards to me.

Hi ladies!!!

I''m doing a quick drive-by to say we''re having a girl!!!!
face23.gif

She''s doing really well. She''s measuring 20w4d, 13oz. She was nice and calm, swallowing, and yawning. They told me that I have a low lying placenta so they''re going to monitor me over the next few weeks. I wasn''t going to have another u/s until much later but now I have to have one in 4 weeks to make sure everything is ok. That has me a little worried but I''m trying to just stay positive.

But she''s great.
30.gif
Rich got a little teary eyed and when we were driving home he said "OMG two of you in the house...i don''t know what I''m going to do now" LOL

I''ll check back in later. I''m starving!!

Congratulations on your little girl, Fiery!
36.gif
Have any names picked out?

FIERY- Yay for a sweet little girl!!!!! I know none of you will believe me, but I was just logging in to say I changed my mind and was going to guess GIRL for Fiery, based on the mango cravings. How exciting for you!!! Ok, names????

CDT, Sapphire, Robbie- CUTE belly shots. I feel like such a bad preggo, I took a pic at 6 weeks and haven''t taken one since, mostly b/c there really hasn''t been any change- until now. I promise I will take one this weekend and post.

Happy Friday.

Fiery, congrats on your little girl!!! Yay, I finally got one right!

Yay for a girl Fiery!!! Hopefully your placenta will have plenty of time to move up!

Robbie, your shirt is really cute!

I''m wearing a maternity shirt today, and it is making me look WAY bigger than I am, so I am getting tons of comments/questions about how far along I am!

China, I''m going to wait till I see your belly shot to guess for you, but I''ve been right for DD and Fiery, but TOTALLY wrong for Pandora.

CDT, Sapphire, Robbie- Adorable belly shots! I''ll try to get one up today or this weekend at the latest.

Just wanted to pop in and say that my BH contrax picked up like MAD in the two to three weeks before I had Hunter. They are annoying for sure! And I also wanted to say that real contrax feel nothing like those practice ones at all, so unless you start to feel really strong pains starting in the lower uterus and radiating into youe back and maybe down your theighs, you are probably not having contrax that are doing anything to your cervix... For me, the BH were felt most obviously at the top of my uterus and it felt like my uterus hardened into a soccer ball, which felt strange but not painful. Labour contrax felt like a ball of energy swirling and starting to expand and maybe explode in the lower part of my abdomen! That''s the best description I can come up with!
