Hi Natalina - I use www.babyfy.com for reviews on the whole - not sure if it''s UK based, may well be as I doubt you have some of the brands mentioned on there. The expert reviews are useful and they often have consumer ones as well (Amazon also have good reviews - I check both the UK and USA sites as you get more reviews that way)Date: 3/2/2009 4:45:54 PM

Pandora- a bit late on the opinion, but I too would not go to the wedding. Have you decided what to do about it? So glad to hear that your barrister is optimistic about your case, and so envious of your trip to the baby fair!! Sounds like fun! LOVE your stroller! Since you are in the UK, I was hoping you might have seen/tried the Micralite Newborn Plus System? It is available here in the US, but not anywhere near me and I can''t find many reviews on it. I love that it goes from bassinet stroller to a lightweight pseudo-umbrella style stroller, and is also carseat adaptable. Any feedback?
I had very specific requirements for a stroller:
- Had to be both front and rear facing
- Had to be suitable from birth
- Had to have an adjustable height on the handle
- Had to be lightweight
- Had to be reasonably narrow and suitable for shops/streets in central London and public transport
- Had to be carseat compatible (preferably with the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix)
It narrowed me down to the Bugaboo Bee or Chameleon or the Stokke Xplory pretty quickly.
The Micralite Newborn Plus System failed on the parent facing aspect and it''s a real hassle to adjust the handle height, so it was a definite no from early on. It''s also pretty similar in price to the Bee...
I don''t think I''ve seen one in person - they weren''t at the Baby Show, or at any of the department stores I have menaced over the last few months.
Don''t know if that is much help...
ETA: I have sinned again - whilst stalking ebay for xplory accessories, I came across someone in my part of London who was selling the Stokke Sleepi Cot (pick up only). DH had really liked it at the show - but I wasn''t prepared to even contemplate spending £500+ GBP for a cot. I just won it for under £100GBP - oops. Let''s just hope that the insurance company does cough up for my legal bills...)
Had another session with the physio - seems that she went off to do some research and that the corset thing won''t work for me, but they came up with a few new exercises for me that may work and won''t exacerbate my existing back problems. Have to go back next week again. As I was booking next week''s appointment, my next-door-neighbour from our old flat turned up. She''s 4 weeks ahead of me and having a little boy. She''s got pelvic girdle pain poor thing (hence the physio). I haven''t seen her for a couple of months so it was really nice to catch up and share scan photos - it was sulking over her BFP that prompted me to go and do another test that turned out to be my BFP.
Lindsey, I love your nursery - not boy-like at all IMHO, and the textiles for the Bugaboo are gorgeous. Great u/s photo as well!
Phoenix, I really recommend The Panic Free Pregnancy - it''s American and has lots of really good advice on what you can do and what you really shouldn''t do. Very reassuring IMO. (I''ve eaten sushi and sashimi all the way through. The only things I''ve been really religious about are caffeine and alcohol which I haven''t touched since we started TTC)
For m/s - try Vit B6 or promethazine (which is what they give babies and small children for travel sickness amongst other things). Both should be available OTC, but I had problems getting the promethazine OTC when I told them I wanted it for morning sickness (despite my having had it on prescription the month before and it being on their computer system).
