Yes, lots of CF too! Not that I''m looking forward to 2 weeks of my body trying to clear itself out like this, but I''m glad to hear that it doesn''t mean that I''m going into labor in the next few days. I mean, we''re probably as ready as we''ll ever be, but it just seems so soon! Two weeks sounds like a good time to me. I''ll keep an eye out for AFF-like cramps now, too.Date: 3/22/2009 6:41:30 PM

tee hee I did the SAME thing for the last two weeks! Yup, clearing out happened in those two weeks. Lots of CF too, do you have that? You''ll know you are getting really close when you start having mild AFF-like cramps on and off too...Date: 3/22/2009 5:55:39 PM

I''m starting to read things into EVERYTHING right now, and I''m afraid that I''m going to just drive myself batty in the upcoming weeks. TMI example - my body is, um, clearing itself out right now. I''ve heard that this is a sign of early labor. But maybe I just ate something that was a bit off? But then again, DH and I have eaten essentially the same things this weekend, and his digestive system is doing fine.

I could probably figure this out if I didn''t have pregnacy brain, but what''s CF and AFF??
Blen It could be anytime really! I know in the two weeks leading up to my waters breaking I kept googling "early labour signs" and reading everything. Some women have a long period leading up to labour and for others I think it is more "out of the blue"! But I knew there were things going on in my body in the weeks leading up to the birth, and the really funny thing is that the day I went into labour, I finished and re-submitted a manuscript I had been working on! Somewhere inside me I *knew* that is was going to happen that night. The biggest change for me was a big increase in the mild cramping...I''d had it on and off over the last couple weeks, but that night is was much more constant. Labour and delivery is a wild ride! Such an experience. I am sad I didn''t get to go through a natural labour, but there''s always next time. I''m not going to lie, contractions feel like nothing you have felt before and they are so intense and all encompassing it is easy to get "lost" and overwhelmed. I never could get my breathing into a rhythm that worked for me, and I know that affected my ability to cope. Still, I did 5 hours of very hard induced labour without the epi, and if I had been progressing I could have kept going for another 5 hours if need be. So you can do it for sure! And then the pushing is really rewarding, at least it was for me. The endorphins kick in and you get into the "zone" where you are like some kind of warrior woman intensely focused on nothing but each contraction and pushing like there is no tomorrow. All your focus goes inwards and all you know is the surge and the pushing. BTW the best advice I got was to push like you are taking the biggest poop in your life! LOL! When it is time, it will feel like there is a football in your bum and you need to get it out... gross but true! After your baby is born the rush of hormones is better than any drug out there! I was high for days and days afterwards. Anyways, I''m really excited for you and I hope it works out that you can have your labour and birth at home! If not, you can still have a wonderful experience in the hospital. It won''t be what you envisioned, but it can still be fulfilling and rewarding.
