Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Mela-I adore you. It’s too late for you to be my pregidol but you totally would be.

Robbie and Sabine-You ladies look fantastic!

Robbie-Good luck with the party bus.

Courtney-You look beautiful. You are seriously all belly.

We tried to go swimming yesterday but the water was freezing so we said forget it. I woke up so many times last night to readjust in bed and use the restroom so I feel really tired today. Other than that just working (boo). I have a baby shower to go to on Sunday so I’m really looking forward to that. It’s for my manager’s wife. I want to get my hair straightened tomorrow but I kind of feel guilty. It’s a chemical relaxer that alters the hair strands (so not like highlighting) to make it go from curly to straight. I need to get it done and my nurses have said its ok but I just feel bad about it for some reason. We’ll see.

Here’s my BPF contribution: 28w4d

Courtney- you look so great. I can''t believe by looking at you how far along you are! I know you feel big (and more than ready!), but you really look fantastic! Really, really!

Fiery- Lookin'' good mama! If your doc says okay about the straightener, you should be fine, right? Is the salon well-ventilated? I just worry about breathing in all the fumes. Funny what we''ll subject OURSELVES to in the name of beauty, but when there''s a baby involoved we reconsider
emwink.gif
. I got my hair highlighted at about 8 weeks and it didn''t even dawn on me until AFTER that it might not have been the smartest thing to do, especially before 12 weeks- whoops! I''m sure that you will be beautiful and baby will be fine whatever you decide!

Yay for BPF! Who''s up next?

Peony- you out there? Maybe I missed it, but haven''t seen you post in a while. Hope all is well!

smaller belly alert!...hehe

I feel silly posting mine, but hey...you guys don''t discriminate against smaller bellies do you?
9.gif

It''s definitely gotten bigger...and now it''s always hard and warm!!! specially at night!

You guys look awesome!!!

Mandarine, I''m totally discriminating against your tiny belly right now! LOL Just kidding....sort of.

LOL Court, don''t worry...I will probably end up with a HUGE belly and then you will just feel bad for me...hehehe

Luving the bellies ladies--you all look so great!!!!

quick question for you guys.

Since yesterday, i''ve had this feeling right in my pelivc area (right above the pubic area I guess but more to the right than on the left). it''s not a cramp-like feeling and it''s not constant. It like a pinch/stretch or maybe pulling sort of feeling?. i doesn''t hurt and it last like one second.

Any clue what this is?. I guess it could be the muscles stretching out or something. I called the Drs office just in case and the nurde will ask the Dr...just wanted to know if any of you experienced something similar early on? (or maybe even a little later on since with twins I''m on the fast track...hehe)

TIA :)

I can''t wait until I have some stuff to report and pictures to post!

I''m 11 weeks and 1 day...

Morning sickness is still there----why is it that it gets worse when I''m in the shower? I thought it was the smell of the soap--so I switched brands, but nope, still in the shower I have to throw up.

It sounds like round ligament pain...very common/normal when you hit 12 weeks. You''ll feel it throughout the pregnancy at different times.

hey ladies

Everyone looks great as usual!!!

I can't believe how close most of us are!! So exciting!

As for me, well I've been put on temp bed rest. I'm having a lot of pain w/ the stent and peeing is just the most painful thing!!! I'm on painkillers now which freaks me out, but I honestly can't take the pain. I can't sit or walk very well, laying down/sleeping is the only thing getting me thru the days right now. I go back to the urologist monday and am seriously hoping they will just take this stent out, I can't see being like this for the next 8 weeks! It still boggles my mind that not even 3 weeks ago I was at the gym feeling great and now I can barely walk
7.gif
Makes me really sad....

So I haven't posted a pic in a few weeks.....wait to u see this belly now!!! Weird thing is, I have only gained 1 lb in the past 3 weeks (probably stress)...but my belly has gotten so much bigger!! 32w 1d

I feel better now :)

cdt, I think you look GREAT for what you''re going through! I''ve been thinking about you,a nd I really hope they can take the stent out and get you some relief. I can''t imagine...

Mela, you are just such a rock star! Love the pics!

Robbie, you totally look like your halloween picture! Remember when we though putting a balloon up the shirt was way too "round ball" to represent a real baby bump?!? Well, that''s totally what you have, and it''s freaking adorable!

Courtney, hang in there! For what it''s worth, although I can tell your face is a little puffy just because I''ve seen earlier pics of you, you still look gorgeous and I hope I look half as good as you when I''m that close!

Fiery, your bump is getting more and more defined each week!

Mandarine, too cute non bump. Sounds to me like you have rlp as well, very common.

Out of curiosity, those of you who have the ball that you are supposed to sit on (Courtney, Mela...), where did you get them, and how much do they cost? I''m having trouble getting comfy at home lately.

LOL, thanks. My next belly pic should be in the outfit I wore that day.

CDT you really did pop!!!!! what a cute belly!!!
Sorry you are still in pain!

I hope you feel better soon!!!!!

Sabine and Mandarine - thanks!! I''m just trying to take things day by day right now...soon enough my pain will be over with (hopefully!) and we''ll have our son here!!

Yay for belly pic Friday! Love it....makes me want to join in!
3.gif

Love all the belly pics! You all look great! Makes me miss my pregnant belly!

Aww you are all the most beautiful pregnant ladies I have ever seen! I love belly pic friday!! Gorgeous bellies everyone!!
9.gif

Wow, everyone looks so great! (I giggled at the little hints of tats on Mela and CDT showing.) Courtney, you look great and I hope we get to see a picture of your baby girl soon!! (Can you help me out and phonetically spell her name again, so I''m saying it right?)

Lovely bellies, that will become lovely babies!!!

Keep baking ladies!!! (Except for Courtney!!)

GREAT Belly Pics Girls!

CDT - SO sorry babe! You really are a trooper, and I wish that the pain would just go away! Is taking out the stent a possibility? If so - amazing.
You REALLY have popped though!
36.gif
Seeing how much you've progressed must make the end of your pregnancy seem closer. YEY for that! (at least)

Sabine - I stole my ball from my mom (no idea where she got it. I feel like she won it?!) but regardless, it is THE.MOST.COMFY thing to sit on. Do whatever you need to do to get one. It's amazing how all the pressure dissapears and it's a great inner thigh stretch too.
16.gif

Robbie - Tripple dog dare you to wear your hallween costume for next weeks BPF.
27.gif
Pretty Pleeeeeeeeeeease!?

Courtney - Aye yay yay! Tell Alila that it's a new moon today, and that can kick-start labour. Tell her that. and Tell her its not a request, but an order!

Fisher - Alila is pronounced "Ah-Lyla"
***

So since the month of May is called "The Flower Moon" according to the Farmers Almenac, I've been looking at middle names which are floral-esque.
Here are some new ones, assuming this baby is a girl, and most probably named Luna:

Floralie
Violet
Azalea

Any other suggestions girls?

This makes me laugh - and think of Blen. She also agonized over a name for a girl; only to birth a boy.
20.gif
That is SO going to happen to me.
37.gif

Mela- I love the flowery middle name idea! I think of your 3, I'd choose Violet because it's more traditional and seems to balance Luna out. But I know you ain't scurred to use two more "out there" names! Have you tried nameberry?
http://nameberry.com/search/results/1

eta- Okay, now I've just had a good laugh at the thought of a "Luna Pansy" or a "Luna Petunia"
9.gif
(the latter should def. be your nickname for her though!

Luna Petunia! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. That is HA-mazing.

I still love Luna Lavender and Luna Soleil. Damnit.

Luna Violet seems like a nice compromise to ''Lavender''.

Love all the belly pics!! You ladies all rock the preggo bellies!!

Mela- I love a floral middle name! What about Alyssum?

Mela- I'll be honest with you, I love all three (LL, LV and LS). But I like LL just hair more than the other 2. Luna Lavendar just has such a sweet ring to it though... I don't know, some people wouldn't like the two L's. But if you picked LV that would be really safe if she turned out to be a very conservative person.

Ha Feb2003! I first read that as "Assylum"
41.gif

And I was like "WTF is she thinking?" Alyssum is very pretty though!
1.gif

eta-fix horrible spelling

Thanks Mela for the pronunciation!

I''m 2 cm and 50% effaced and will be getting induced on Tuesday if she doesn''t arrive on her own!

Yay Courtney! I really don''t know what those #s mean but I think they mean progress!

Mandarine- Congratulations and welcome to the 2nd trimester! Yay!

Courtney- How exciting! Four days until you meet your baby girl!

cdt- I'm so sorry you're having to deal with pain. I hope they can take the stent out soon. And your linea negra isn't ugly at all- I think it's cool! I was so surprised to see mine- it seemed to appear overnight!

BFP Ladies: You all look great. I'm so jealous. I feel monstrous. I'll see if I can muster up the energy to put on some makeup and have DH snap one of me, though.

mela- I think Luna Violet is lovely. What about Luna Fleur? Have we already discussed that one?

Mela- Another vote for Luna Violet here, although I really love Luna Lavendar too. Luna Petunia is absolutely hysterical!!

CDT- bummer about the bedrest. Your belly is so cute, though! I hope they are able to remove the stint so you get some relief.

Courtney- Yay for progress!

U guys all look great! I already miss the belly! It def. Feels empty without someone moving all around in there.

Court- soooo excited!..the baby boom is here. Can''t wait..hope u have someone to give updates for us ;)
