Me too! A little OCD

Can''t wait to hear from you, Pandora!

Thanks guys for the congrats on joining the pink team!

Tao- I definitely feel like there''s no way to tell until the doctor tells you! I still feel a bit shocked!

Mela- I can''t even tell you how excited I am to see what you''re having! Do you "feel" like it''s one or the other?

Robbie- I bet your pics will be beautiful! You must be so excited! Hope your shower today is wonderful!

EBree- I am sure she will be a tomboy as DH is a complete sports nut. He will have her in the backyard learning how to catch/hit a ball as son as she can toddle around, I''m sure. Season tickets to see the Cubs with Daddy are definitely in her future!

Fiery- sounds like your shower went really well. How fun! You must be having such a good time putting her room all together!

Pandora- thinking about you! Hope all is well and can''t wait to see Daisy!

EBree- Forgot to address your question about names. We are really going to have a time of it, I think! I like fairly unisex names for a girl. Some of my favorites are Reese, Quinn, Ryan, Layne...DH likes pretty girly names, but Layne is on the table for both of us. I would name her Reese tomorrow if it was up to me, but he just will not go for it. Quinn is his ex-gf''s last name, so that''s out
emotion-16.gif
. He doesn''t think he could get used to Ryan for a girl... We both like Allyson/Allison, but it seems to be waning for me as it gets stronger for him. I need help! I know I do not want a really girly fussy name, and we both like the idea of being able to shorten it into a nickname (I know lots of ppl do not like that). My focus is that her ''real'' name has to sound sophisticated, but I love a cute nickname when she''s little. I joke that it has to pass the Dr. _______ Lastname test for when she gets older. Like, I love Layne because Laynie is so cute for a little sweetie, but Layne sounds so grown up for when she''s older. I am SO open to suggestions!!!! Lastname is very German and rhymes with honor/Conner.

Natlina congrats on a girl!!! For names what about Charlotte/Charlie or Samantha/Sam? I always think those are cute tomboy-ish nicknames. Oo, or what about Blair? It doesn''t have a nickname, but it''s unisex and I think sophisticated too.

Sunkist- Funny you mentioned Charlotte/Charlie- that is another one of my fave''s but DH has a good friend with a little girl named Charlotte so he says it''s out. I have a cousin named Samantha, and we''ve never really gotten along...have to think about Blair. I''m sure I''m dating myself, but it always reminds me of Facts of Life (hopefully SOMEBODY remembers that show!).

How are you feeling??

fiery- I''m glad you had a great shower!

natalina- Would your husband go for Reese as a middle? I think Allison Reese is beautiful. "Al" as a nickname is unisex, and Ally/Allie is another cute nn. It''s no secret that I love Lane, but spelled the unisex way (the most). Great choices!

RE used pumps: I borrowed a pump from a good friend and just purchased new tubes that attach to the actual pump and the parts that actually go on your breasts. Cost me about $20 to get new parts...well worth it!

natalina~Quinn is on our short list for our next girl. I love Layne too!

I am desperate to hear news of Pandora, I almost feel like I have been in labour myself all weekend waiting for news. I so hope that no news is good news and she is holding little Daisy in her arms, too content to be even thinking about us waiting to hear about it.

Pandora - I hope they found a bed for you and everything is all peachy keen and you have your new daughter in your arms.

Good luck :)

Continued best wishes for you Pandora.

oh darn..i was hoping pandora had checked in by now. well, I hope she is just having the time of her life with Daisy and things are going well. can''t wait to hear the rest of the story and see pics of the sweet wee one.

I am coming out of lurkdom for Natalina because I love unisex names on girls. I Reese is definitely on my list when we have a little girl, but I also like Cameron, Addison, and Avery. There is also Peyton and my name, which isn''t quite your style and getting popular, but Morgan is another unisex name, though leaning more girl now.

Natalina Congratulations on joining team PINK!! I adore your list of names, Reese is one of my favs, but DH has vetoed it for me too, lol. Quinn is on our top girl choice right now, and I also love the name Lainey (I want to use Delaney w/nn). I think we have similar name tastes, so I''m excited to follow your search!
Another we have on our list is Sloane, the only thing is you don''t have much of a nickname option, but it''s a suggestion.

Pandora I am so waiting for you to check in, I hope things got better at the hospital! Can''t wait to hear about you meeting your li''l Daisy

As for me, I go in for my first appointment today at 2:45. My dad want''s to come by and check out our remodel progress, so I''m hoping I can convince him to come before the Dr. since I don''t know if I''ll be able to stay quiet after we''ve seen the li''l bean!!

Sweet Pea-Good luck with your appointment today!

Pandora-still thinking about you and Daisy.

Mela-How are you doing?

Hi all!

Natalina: congrats on team pink! Dang, I was wrong for you!! I just love love love girl names, and it''s unfortunate we have forty thousand of them and no boy names. Well, ONE boy name. Hopefully we only have one boy!

Pandora: Hoping things went swimmingly after the excruciating wait you had to endure- which, btw, is terrifying! I hope all is well with you and Daisy!

Sweet Pea: good luck at your appointment today! Can''t wait to hear all about it when you get back!

Mela: still out there?

As for me, today I''m 13w1d. 13 weeks! Holy moly, I''ll officially be in the 2nd tri on Wednesday. I''ve been feeling a little achy in the pelvis area, not crampy per se, but a little painful? Only when I move or bend over or something. Is this round ligament pain? No spotting or any back cramps, just the ol'' achy ute. Speaking of backs- my back is freaking killing me. The small of my back is hurting like a mo'' fo'', I wonder if it was the laundry baskets I lugged around all day yesterday? I decided to head to the mall by myself on Saturday to pick up some comfy pants (Motherhood maternity yoga pants are the best invention in the world), and walked a bit to get there. By the time I was home I was dead on my feet, and lugging that bag of books and clothes killed my arm and shoulder. Next time I know better, and I must say it''s making me question my desire to go to Disneyland to celebrate my 30th birthday/ our 2nd anniversary on November 5th (a bit more than two weeks before due date).

Eh, I''ll figure it out.

How are all the preggos doing?

Hi Amber! Congrats on 13 weeks. That''s such a great milestone
face23.gif

The beginning of 2nd tri brings on RLP, totally normal. I would feel it when I had to get up from bed or when I would try to switch positions in bed.

Good to know Fiery, thanks! For some seriously odd reason I kept thinking RLP would be squeaky. What the heck is THAT thought all about??? Yes, I am of slightly higher education than the neighborhood dullard, you''d think I''d make sense, right?

We had an earthquake yesterday! Scared the heck out of me, and made me worry about the future babe, and what we''d do when that happens. Poor Woofie was running himself ragged barking at various corners.

hi girls...
still nothing.

tons of pressure and cramps, but absolutly nothing. 4 days until my official "due date".

ditto and/or go get a pedicure/manicure.

Natalina- Congrats on your BABY GIRL!!! How exciting. I can imagine how hard it is to get your mind around it being a girl and not a boy, I was as convinced as you I was having a boy. I would have been shocked if it was a girl. BUT excited too, little girls are something else. I want both! I am surprised though, I was pretty sure you were on team blue! Now for the fun part, names! I love all of your choices. I will pull out my list when I get home, I think I had some on there that sound like your style. Fun!!!

Pandora- Been thinking of you all weekend, so sorry to hear about the waiting game they made you play.
29.gif
After all of your preparation and discussions with them too. Hope the rest of your experience was wonderful. Can't wait to hear your story, and see pics of Miss Daisy! Hope you are all doing well.

Mela- Hang in there. It will happen and soon! My BFF went into labor on her due date on Saturday. No signs at all before then. How are you doing? How was your birthday?

Amber- Congrats on 13 weeks! Weeks 12 up until now have been relatively fun and easy for me, hope it's the same for you. But yes I did notice my lower back aching if I walked around too much, like at the mall or something. I hope you can do Disney, but that might be a lot of walking for 2 weeks away from your due date. Also, you get tired and out of breath way more easily. Can your DH carry you?
11.gif
Are you sharing your boy name??? I loved the one girl name that you shared on the TTC thread that you were afraid of people stealing.

Sweet Pea- Good luck at your first appointment!!!

As for me, I'm doing well. Super tired the past few days, but I think I just overdid it last week with too many activities after work. Had my glucose test, which really wasn't bad at all. I think I was expecting the drink to taste like orange throw-up or something and it was fine. Oh, maybe I already posted this. Can't remember of course. Anyways, doc said they would only call if I didn't pass and I haven't heard from them, so I am assuming I passed.

Hope everyone is well.

Hey China! Yeah, we''re so convinced this baby is a boy that we''re totally trying to come up with more boy names but are faiiiling. It''s funny, so far my breathing has been normal, which shocks me, as I have really really bad asthma, but I totally think it''ll get worse the bigger I get. I wonder if I''ll be able to use a wheelchair at Disney? It''s not like we''re going on all the roller coasters- just the smooth boat-y ones. Of course, I''m an idiot and never think things will turn out the way they do so I may be screwing myself here.
19.gif

So we were looking for good boy names, and looking at ones from our family. We liked Oliver, but my cousins named their dog that (with four sets of twins, they''re really taking ALL the names- no joke). It was technically a family name- the middle name of my Grandfather, although my Great-Grandma couldn''t spell and had it down as OLVER. How terrible is that? I had another great grandpa named Guy, and we really like that one. After looking through the Baby Wizard book, we really like Riley, which is our frontrunner. We''re thinking Riley Guy XXXXXX. It kind of makes its own nickname- Riley Guy!

Amber- Silly me, I didn''t even THINK about all of the rides at Disney, just the walking around part. At 28 weeks, I can still manage long walks without getting out of breath unless I talk too much or go up stairs. But I imagine it will be worse 3 months from now. So hard to even predict though! You might be totally fine. I feel fine during walks/trips to mall and stuff, but when I finally sit down at the end of the day, my back kills me. Isn''t it hard to imagine being 2 weeks away from your due date? My friends were both 3 months ahead of me and they would send me pictures and I am amazed that I will be that big soon. It''s crazy. I have such a hard time planning anything around then, cause I just have no idea how I''m going to be feeling.

As for boy names, I will say it again, they are hard! I love a lot of names until I think about actually bestowing it upon another human being and then I feel so responsible. I love Riley- funnily enough, that''s my brother''s dog''s name! Guy is a good middle name. 4 sets of twins, are you kidding me? I hope not all in one family! Riley Guy is very cute.

China, yeah, it''s funny because I so don''t want to be that idiot preggo who is like, "Downhill skiing won''t be so bad at 6 months pregnant, you guys don''t know what you''re talking about..." Since I get in free, and it''s our tradition (we got there for all anniversaries and my birthday- we even got engaged there), I may just want to GO, but just to have dinner, not a lot of walking, just down Main Street- far enough to pick up another tradition- the ornament for our Christmas tree. Everything is going to have to wait, it''s not like I need to decide now. Although... perhaps I can convince the hubs to go now since I won''t be able to then. Hm... Don''t think I''m arguing with you- you (and my mom, my aunt, my dad, EVERYONE who heard about this little plan of mine) are totally being the clear thinker. I''m so freaking stubborn and ridiculous, you should see the things i get into because I''m unwilling to admit I was wrong.

I''m so glad the nausea is going away. Although since I won''t have another u/s until June 9th, I''m still all "Everything okay in there??" Does that ever go away?

Pandora-I hope you and Daisy are doing well! I can''t believe the hospital!!

Robbie-I would ask what brand it is and then find out what kind of parts you can replace. Don''t hold me to this but I believe you can replace the tubing on the Medela and get new nipple shields so if it is a Medela, I would take it. I already know those pics are going to be fabulous! Can''t wait to see them.

Natalina-Welcome to Team Pink!!

Sabine-I saw on the other board that your DH is graduating Med school today. A million congratulations!

Tao-80 to 100 oz of liquid is recommended. Liquid could include juices. 100oz is more recommended if you are also active.

Yesterday was my shower. FI and I had been laughing for weeks over it because we expected it to look like a sweet 15 (including a big embarrassing chair I''m supposed to sit on). I was so amazed at how beautiful it was. They spent hours decorating and it was overwhelming (in a good way). I had a fantastic time...I spent the entire night laughing, eating, and dancing. By the time I got around to opening the gifts, I was in such a great mood that I didn''t even notice whether I got things off of my registry or not. I was just loving all the tiny clothes. When I went through everything this afternoon I noticed that there were a few things off of the registry so that''s cool. Overall we received a bunch of adorable clothes, a swing, the safety 1st bathtub, the fisher price ocean wonders, and a bunch of accessories for the bedroom (set is almost complete!). Oh and diapers! Yay! LOL It was great. My mom is hosting a shower on June 20th which I personally think is way too close to my due date (7/13) and I have to drive 4 hours away but that''s also my dad''s birthday and my mom said it feels like he''ll be with us on that day. Can''t argue with that.

That''s fabulous!

Sounds like you had a great time, and got a nice mix of presents too!

me too. I hope it all went smoothly.

I''m starting to freak a little about Pandora---she''s normally right on top of psoting, I thought she''d be posting in between pushes :)

Morning sickness is still kicking me in the butt---I''m 14 weeks 4 days today and I had to get sent home from work because I threw up 3 times...

It''s terrible! I just don''t want to take any form of medication....I think I''m going to stop by and try the lollipops---the sample I got from the doctor seemed to help.
