Vizla - There are chin-up machines? That is so cool! One of these days, I need to join a gym and discover the glorious world of actual work-out equipment. I just use a bar across my hallway, so there''s no way to modify how much weight I''m lifting (other than dieting, I guess, which is out for the next 6 months
). I''d sort of been looking forward to getting stronger and stronger as I gained, until I realized that maybe this might be against the rules ....
ChinaCat, thanks - I called my doc. to ask, and I have the sneaking suspicion that it was the first time this had ever come up for them, so I''m waiting for them to get back to me. I hope it *is* okay, just because I''ve always *liked* being strong, dangnabit ... but I do *not* want to take any chances with the baby. So until they call me back, or I head otherwise from some authority on here, I will def. be taking it easy ....
Oh, and all the ladies mentioning the constipation/hemorrhoids things ... these are both probably really obvious tips, but in addition to water, an apple a day (is so cliche! ... but true), and as much Metamucil as is recommended (I think it''s 3 cups a day ...) both help a lot. Am hoping they continue to be effective throughout the pregnancy
