MommaBear, I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I agree with everyone else, you didn't do anything to jinx it by talking about it. These things just happen and it sucks. Make sure you take some time to heal yourself mentally and physically and then we hope to see you back here soon with good news. Please let us know if you need anything.

Tacori, I love Tessa. Have to think of a middle name though...let me work on that!

TGal, I really like Amelia but I'm not sold on Indie. It's super cute but like Mara said, it may be cool for the adults but not the kids. My middle name is an old school Armenian name (my grandmother's) and I have NEVER used it. I tell people I don't have a middle name. Even now, I don't love it and don't use it. My husband only recently found out what it was and he likes it but I don't think I'll ever come to terms with it. I have a crazy long Armenian last name too which always got screwed up as a child and still does as an adult but believe it or not, I like it and didn't change my name when I got married! Also, I feel like you said the e in Amelia would be pronounced like the e in America with a short e (eh) but be prepared for people to say Ameelia, although maybe I'm making this up because I can't find the post where you said that about the pronunciation. Preggo brain continues after you have the baby...

By the way, my baby was conceived at my inlaws' country house in upstate New York. The name of the town is DEPOSIT!!!!!! Ok, nuff said!

Lili: I don''t think you should stress too much about not having the muscle tone to carry the extra weight. the weight doesn''t appear over night (although sometimes it sure feels like it!) and therefore your boby can slowly adapt to the changes. I think you are smart for adopting a gentle exercise routine now. I don''t think it is ever too late and will give u plenty of bennefits both now and for after the baby is born. Just think, you''ll have more engery, you''ll drop the baby weight faster, you''ll sleep better at night and feel better about yourself.

I think something simple works best with Tessa, maybe something like Tessa Claire or Tessa Grace? Or if you were still thinking James, I think that works. Although maybe that''s too much like Jesse James? (Or am I overthinking?

) I think I like Tessa Claire personally.

By the way, I forgot to mention that we saw that pediatrician last night (my stepbrother''s wife''s cousin), and ... she''s our new doctor for the babies!! Yay!!! She''s *awesome* -- we both loved her, and her office is just 10 minutes from our house. Whoo hoo! And she also told me that she''s "in" with Enfamil reps, so she''d be able to hook us up if we decide to use formula -- heehee! I asked about the Bumbo seats and she said she''s never heard anything bad about them, but she was going to check with some of the PTs in her office if she remembered, so I''ll keep you posted if I hear anything one way or the other.

Tacori: Tessa was the name this one almost got!!!! I used to know a Tessa (short for Teresa, but I was going with just Tessa) so I am verrrry partial to it. I don''t know why I chose Delaney over Tessa, I''d settled on Tessa when I was 20 if I ever had a girl (that''s when I knew the Tessa, she was my landlord''s daughter and cool as hell...like a little sister to me). So...yeshhhh...I think a little Tacori Tessa would be a gorgeous name for your girl.

Ladies: I might not make it to tomorrow. I was up at 3:30am again with cramps, backaches, been goin'' potty all morning (tmi...flushing out the ol'' system) and now I''m feeling sick-ish. My ob told me to not mess around and get myself to the hospital without calling her if my contrax got regular or any other symptoms happened....It had a 6.5 hr labor with Jake apparentlyl...they don''t trust me not to go fast. LOL. Watch me crawl like a tortoise this time..wouldn''t that be the luck? Where''s DANI when I need her?????? LOL...... I have no apparent contractions, my belly is just constantly hard as a rock, my back friggin'' hurts, and I have menstrual cramp like feelings.

I''ve been doing laundry...putting stuff in place since...nesting nesting nesting. watched the sun come up from my office....

I want to know Mara''s real name now too!!!! At least toss us the first one honey!

Hi Tacori! I just wanted to mention that I love the name, Tess and Tessa. My sisters name is actually Terressa, pernounced Terr-S-Ah, not Ter -eese-ah, but we call her Tess or Tessa. Her middle name is Danielle. I''ve always been jealous of that name my whole life. Your girl will love it.

No, but only because if I had EVER gotten lucky enough to have a girl, I was going to name her Natalie Katherine.

I do like Tessa though, just not as much. And I think it would sound better with a one syllable name, but that would make it tougher.

While I''m not a huge fan of Rose, I like it best with Tessa...or Tessa Grace.

i haven''t even really thought about names yet. hubby and i could never agree on a boy''s name during my first two pregnancies so we''ll see this time, if it is a boy, like everying in our family''s is hoping for we''re going to have to finally find one to agree on. girls names are so much easier for us. my short list includes, anna and kelsey but i''m not sure. I actually stole Lily from my sister who has wanted to use it as a girls name since she was in junior high and worked at a summer camp with a little girl named Lily. when we found out we were having another girl that is the only name hubby really like so i asked my sister (who is 6 years younger and was not even married at the time) if we could have it. she agreed with the promise that Lily will be raised to belive that her auntie named her

Tgal – Add me to the not feeling the Amelia Indie camp. I like AJs ideas though! I really like my name and think my parents did a great job… of course I almost ended up Rhonda Lee… a female version of my fathers name since he didn’t make either of my brothers a Jr.

Ella – We have PB bedding and we didn’t color match it, but we were able to find colors that are practically dead on at Home Depot. I just took the blanket in with us and we picked swatches… guess the color matching would have been easier!

Tacori – Exciting that your family is coming for Tgiving! We are supposed to go up to NJ and it will be the first time most of DHs family sees the baby.

Diver – WHOOOHOOO!!! September 15, 2007 sounds like a great birthday! Hope you have a fast and easy labor today or tomorrow and a healthy baby girl!!!

MommaBear – I am sorry to hear of your news. Please take care of yourself and do what you need to do to heal and move on when you are ready!

All this name talk makes me laugh… that is still on our “to do” list! It kills me how laid back we have been about the name… oh well! Baby L sounds good to me.

My mom came up yesterday, we went to the doc (everything is a-okay, group B negative) and then headed out shopping to fill in all my gaps! We got all the little things baby needs (clippers, soap, etc)and nursing stuff for me (bras, PJs, etc) so we are ready to rock and roll now! We going to get our car seat tomorrow (its on hold at the store) and I am going to start washing and putting away all his clothes and packing my bag! I had so much fun with my mom yesterday… I made a list of everything I had and said, tell me what I need! Its was great. I cried when she left because I told her the next time she saw me I was going to be a momma! I’m teary eyed typing it too!

Oh, and I cant remember if I posted this yet, but we got our crib and its all set up and ready to go AND we found the power cord to the camera, so I will be sure to take pics this weekend to post!

I prefer Tessa to Natalie.....try as hard as I will, only two things come to mind with Natalie. One is Natalie from Facts of Life (LMAO). The other is that nickname will be "Nat", which sounds like gnat. Not my fave.

Tessa Shae (in keeping with the McC ancestry)
Tessa Aileen (pron. eileen) - initials would be TAM, also in keeping with McC heritage.

I just got a call from the genetic counselor. The results of my first screen are in, and it''s negative. Best of all the odds that it generates for down''s is given for this first test, and mine is 1:10,000....the absolute BEST odds results that the test can give out.

So second screening is next month, and she says the amnio is still certainly an option if I want it.

YAY! I know this test isn''t diagnostic, but I sure feel great!!!

TGal, that is fantastic news! I was surprised when I got great results like that too--I was sure the age thing worked against us "old ladies" but it's pretty cool when your doctor tells you that you have the same odds as a 20 year old!
