Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Thank you ladies for your sweet comments. I feel like the *pregnancy shape* of my body has completely changed in the last 2 weeks, and I am enjoying this *new* body! Instead of a shapeless blob, I feel like a girl again!

Meresal - you look fantastic!!!

HH - You must be so excited! Any guesses on what you might be having?

Anyone want to look at a 13 week belly shot w/ twins?

Here's my first one - not much to really look at, but thought I'd contribute today. Also, I have the NT scan photos which I'll be posting shortly!

Love the belly pics, especially the beach view!!

Mere~ Congrats on your nephew!! So sweet!!

Vesper~ ********************* Lots of labor dust for you!! **********************

BB~ Congrats on the second tri!!

I am 27 weeks now, I guess I''m in the third tri but didn''t really realize it. Baby is still moving constantly and we have an appt Monday. I''ll also have the GD test at that time. Wish me luck for no GD!! I''m actually expecting it though, with how fast she''s growing and the high cholesterol I''ve developed. Still, if I can avoid it....

Hope you''re all feeling well!!

btw- Does anyone else get referred to as "mama" by other people?? I dropped JT off for preschool this morn and 2 people called me "mama", it was weird. Right up there with touching the belly.

HH- You look great! Big week coming up, that is so exciting!

Blushing, I can't believe you are having twins! You are tiny!

Lucy and SS- Thank you! I can't stop staring at the pictures. This is not going to make the wait easier...

ETA: Lucy- I love your beach pic!

Re: "Mama": There is a guy at work that calls me "Little Mama" and it totally creeps me out. I think this is another one of those things, like belly touching, that would be fine if I were close with the person, but when it comes from people that I rarely talk to... just rubs me the wrong way.

OK ladies - the twins are making their PS debut! These pics are from my NT scan last week - the technician said they measured around 12w3d. Here's Baby A!!!

Baby A-4-8-10.jpg

Baby B!!!

Hmmmm - why are my pics so small? Any tips on how to get them bigger, but still keep them at 100KB so I can post them?

lucy, I love your beach belly pic! Super cute!

love the belly pics!! the beach one is amazing. and mere you look wonderful for so far along.

BB i love the NT pics...hehe. it always seems to me like the babies look the ''same'' around that age as everyone else''s NT''s!! i always look at them and go awww i remember that look. hehee. it wasn''t til later that J got his real shape to his face etc. so fun.

I couldn''t wait so I went to a gender scan today!!!

Mara- Thank you!

Jena- WOOO HOOOO!!! The *goods* shot!!!

Welcome to Team Blue!

Lovinsparkles - just wanted to chime in on the big baby thing...I measured big for a good part of my pregnancy and at 37 weeks I measured big enough to warrant the doc sending me over for a growth U/S.

Based on the U/S, they estimated the baby to be 7lbs 14ozs at 37 weeks. I was completely freaking out, convinced I was going to birth a ginormous baby. I was freaking out, talked to the doctors repeatedly about inducing me early - which they refused to do.

Long story short, my son was born at 39 weeks, 6 days...and he was exactly 7lbs 14 ozs at nearly 40 weeks. His labor and delivery were an absolute breeze. Clearly, they were clearly off on his weight and size during the u/s. The whole measuring big and measuring size by u/s is an really inexact science.

And so long as you are still in the realm of normal - and 92% is well within that realm - I can't imagine they'd schedule a c-section or induce you.

And really don't worry about it!

bb, congrats on the 2nd trimester! You look great! Love the u/s pictures!

meresal, congrats auntie! He''s adorable! What a cute picture! You look so good for 38 weeks!

HH, yay for belly pic! I see a little bump. Can''t wait to find out what you''re having!

lucy, love your belly beach view picture!

Jena, congrats on a BOY! You''re going to love having a boy! How many weeks are you? 16?

Not much new with me. I''m 14 weeks. My energy seems to be picking up but I''m still tired. I guess it''s because I have a toddler keeping me busy! I have a little bump already and I''m pretty sure I''ve started feeling baby movements. They are very light though. Still exciting!

BB, you most definitely have a bump there! It''s as big as mine and I''m almost 18 weeks! What a difference Baby B makes in there:)

I ran a FB poll a few days ago and the results were 14 boy, 13 girl, 2 mutant and 2 no guess.

Snlee, I am 15 weeks 5 days!

I have been feeling little baby movements for about 2 weeks now! I didn''t think you could feel them that early but my doctor said it is possible. At my gender scan they little guy wouldn''t sit still! He will probably take after my husband!
19.gif

Jena I''m SO JEALOUS!!! I can''t believe you''re feeling the LO already (obv I DO believe you, you know what I mean). I''m almost 18 and nada. Although I''ve woken up a few mornings on my tummy with my hands under my hips on my belly. So I don''t know if it was feeling the LO at night or what. And yea, sleeping on my stomach is still totally comfortable because I sleep with one knee to the side kind of propping myself a bit...So jealous, congrats hun!
36.gif

HH, my husband is pretty jealous too! The first few times I felt him I didn''t really believe it cause it was sooo early, but then it was pretty obvious it was my LO moving around. It is only maybe once or twice a day some days and not so much on other days but it is such a neat feeling once you feel your LO!
30.gif
I am sure you will start to feel yours soon enough, I always read it was between 18-22 weeks is when you start feeling it. I am sure by the end of the preganancy we are all going to want our LO''s to stop kicking us so much though!

Oh and I still am sleeping on my stomach, I don''t know how I am going to sleep when I can no longer sleep on my stomach! That is the only way I can go to sleep now!

Jena and Snlee - that''s so cool you can feel your baby so early! Jena, you felt yours at 13 weeks??? WOW! So fun!!!

HH - I just started seeing a bump in the last week. Honestly, I can still fit into all my pants (although when I sit, it''s very uncomfortable), but I''ve been wearing the bellyband for two weeks now. I hope I look as good as Mandarine did with her twins.
36.gif

BTW - I''m going with a girl!

OK - I have a question for you ladies. The "Moms...stuff that makes your lives easier" thread has got me thinking about all the stuff we are going to need when the babes are born. How far along were all of you when you started registering and where did you register? I''m definitely registered at Giggle (which is a baby store here in NY - I love everything in that place!), but was thinking of doing a Buy, Buy, Baby or a Babies R Us, but to be honest, I''ve heard mixed reviews on both. I was also thinking of registering at Pottery Barn Kids, but still deciding on that.

WOW- love all the pics!!!!

BB- Im so glad to see you are doing well!!!!! You look great, and I love the NT scan pics!!! So excited for you!
36.gif
36.gif

Um...confession time. I registered basically the weekend after getting my BFP. I registered at Babies R Us, but to be honest I used the registry at first more as a place to gather ideas for products I wanted to research. I''ve slowly been updating it over the months and will start adding in more gender-specific stuff when we find out. I''m just doing BRU because there are few baby stores up where my family lives in NH/VT.

Blushing, it was more around a little over 14 weeks when I started feeling the LO!

Jena, congrats on your BOY!

littlelysser, thank you so much for this. It sounds like you were in a very similar spot and it''s interesting to hear how it turned out fine for you. Mara, thanks also for your sharing your experience. It sounds like it is just an estimate and that I will probably have to just wait and see what happens, though I will confirm this with my doc next week. I''m really interested to know more about how they determine in advance that baby will be too large for pelvis, or if it''s also a trial and error approach. My mom had fairly large babies (all in the mid-8 pounds range) and she managed, so hopefully the same will be true for me.

BB, we registered on Amazon (they have everything, good prices, no shipping or taxes, you can even use the Universal Registry button to include non-Amazon items). I think ideally we would have done one local store as well as the online option, but there was no Buy Buy Baby near us and I knew most of the people who would be shopping for us would be comfortable with purchasing online. I think I started taking an interest in researching baby gear/registering sometime around 25 weeks, after all the scans had come back OK and was feeling more confident (and I finally had some second trimester energy back!).

Chinese gender calendar?

For everyone who already knows the gender of their little one, can you take a look at this link for the chinese gender calendar and tell me if it was accurate in predicting the gender of your baby? The way it works is you go by the age you were when you conceived, plus the month you conceived in. I am curious if this thing is really accurate or not. It''s supposedly 90% accurate but who knows. Laila, mine was right! A friend of mine said it was right for her 4 kids and everyone she knows who has children too! I know a couple people that it was wrong on. What does yours say??

Laila,
It''s wrong for me, but I did come across one that was right.
Supposedly, you need to base it on the lunar calendar or something.

How cool yours was right! Mine says I'm having a BOY too!

I looked it up for two of my girlfriends and for my mom, and theirs were correct as well. Crazy.

Love BPFs !!
You ladies look gorgeous!

blushing, I can''t remember when I registered but it definitely wasn''t very early. I was really superstitious so I waited a looooong time before actually making that commitment! I registered at BRU and BuyBuyBaby--at that time, Giggle wasn''t even open yet and BBB was a little more "upscale" than BRU but lately it seems as if they are interchangeable. OK, so as a New Yorker, my advice is yes on Giggle just because they have cool stuff and then pick whichever is closer to you in terms of BRU or BBB and go with that one! You''ll want someplace close so you can return stuff easily if you have to and some people who don''t live in NYC may want to go to the store to make a purchase rather than online so a place like BRU is much more accessible to them. And btw, LOVE your ultrasound photos and your little bump!
