Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Cara you look great! Congrats on having another son, this is such a huge baby year and it seems like they''re ALL boys!

Our u/s tech didn''t say boy either. She just hovered around until we recognized Aidan''s junk for what it was. Both DH and I actually caught several glimpses earlier on in the scan and suspected boy but weren''t sure if we were seeing peen or umbilical cord.

snlee and cara- Congratulations on your BOYS!
36.gif
I love having a boy. He''s such a happy baby and so affectionate.

Congratulations on your boys ladies :) I am wondering who will be next to have a little princess!

Vesper, congrats on the birth of Connor! I can''t wait to hear your birth story and see a pic of your new little man!

Mere, C is adorable! I hope the Astros win some games for him...unless, of course, they''re playing the Phils!
31.gif

Swimmer, so CLOSE! I would love an 8 month maternity leave. Yesterday, I took a sick day because of a nasty sore throat and fever and all I could think about is that''s one less paid maternity day.

HH, sending dust for a long and strong cervix!

LIA, sorry about the needle stick. How sucky! I''m sure everything will be fine

Lovelylulu and Charger, you guys are getting there! Congrats on keep the weight in check. My first trimester was OUT OF CONTROL. I''m on track now but still up 23 pounds overall at 26 weeks...BOO!

Cara, did they seriously leave you hanging like that?? That''s so a boy!

DH says the computer should be fixed this weekend. I will post nursery and belly pics as soon as I can. I enjoy everyone else''s pics so much that I feel bad for not posting my own.

I''m hoping this weekend we can get to Ikea to pick up the dresser we want for the nursery and get that and the crib assembled. Then we can actually take a few pictures of the nursery!

snlee~ I had placenta previa with JT. It eventually moved entirely off the cervix around the end of the first tri and I was allowed to try to deliver vaginally.

Congrats on the BOYS!! That sono pic is too funny!

Swimmer - van''t believe you''re almost there! So wonderful.

Vesper - I can''t believe your baby was that big - if I remember correctly, you had a pretty small belly. Where were you hiding him?

meresal - congrats!! i''m so happy your labor + delivery went so well. and my, he''s such a cutie! we''ll have to do a meet up again so our little ones can meet :] and i agree about wanting another. not that i want another baby right now, but i get why people have more than one. sounds crazy but i sorta didn''t get it before. i so get it now!

vesper - congrats! can''t wait for pics and your story!

I don't know how I missed it, but congratulations, Vesper!
36.gif
Connor's a great name!

meresal, C is precious!

Congrats on the BOYS snlee and cara!!

I was wrong, I totally thought girls for both of you.

meresal-In the picture of him sleeping, Christopher looks like an angel dropped down from heaven. I was going to repost the photo here to show everyone which one I meant, but then I remembered that

one member, years ago, objected to other members reposting pictures of her jewelry. I thought that if someone objected to others reposting photos of her jewelery, a new mother might certainly object to someone

reposting a photo of her heavenly new infant! So I will keep my mitts off your precious son, meresal. Just know that women of my age, with children of a nubile age, who are ready to be grandmothers are very

susceptible to the charms of newborn infants. Christopher is definitely a gift from heaven! Congratulations!

Hugs,
Deb/AGBF

cara & snlee- congrats on your boys!!!!

snlee- I also have an anterior placenta and the sonographer said I had a very low placenta and that the doctor would come in to take another look- but when the doctor came in he said everything was fine and that it was a contraction.... i was like huh!??! I questioned it but he said dont worry everything looks beautiful and wouldnt elaborate- its so annoying when doctors can give straight answers.
20.gif
But yes there is a very good chance the placenta can move up as your pregnancy progresses so try not to worry about it to much. Congrats again on your boy!!

Thanks everyone!

cara, congrats on your BOY! You''re going to love having a son!

There''s a boy boom on PS right now! We need some more girls.

Mer--gorgeous little thing!!!!!

Vesper--Congrats on the big healthy boy!!!! Well done & cute name!

Swimmer--tick tock tick tock. yay! so close now!

SoExcited--umm, ya, i am SO over being pregnant. Very uncomfortable (baby has bruised my adominal wall and it''s really tender) and DH is now gone for nearly a week so i am dreading the exhaustion that will be my life for the next 6 days
14.gif

......

34 weeks now and getting anxious to find out who iam toting around with me all day. We are having trouble with names so i need to get thinking about that more seriously. Not a fan of the whole name choosing process
5.gif

Baby is head down deep in my pelvis already which is good news (my son was super high to the bitter end) so i am hoping that means i go earlier than 42 weeks this time. We are still planning the home birth but our new house won''t be ready in time so we have to have it in our current home which is good b/c it''s across the street from the hospital, but sucky b/c it''s an old home and has tiny rooms, narrow hallways and we actually have to measure the stairwell to ensure a stretcher can fit thru in the event of a hospital transfer (the middies organize all that stuff which is nice, they are very organized and prepared and are coming for the home visit in a week). I got my homebirth supply kit ready and i am excited for it!!!

Here''s my early contribution to BPF. From my family maternity shoot. Got some great ones of my son. They turned out pretty good in general but i do look swollen/tired in most of the full-faced ones. Guess it''s to be expected. I was nearly 33 weeks for these and water retention has set it already!

Jas - delurking to say that those pictures are precious!!!

Congrats Vespergirl!!!

Jas12- Oh my, what an amazing picture. Co is so handsome. No idea why but I''m going with GIRL for you.

Congrats SNLEE on double TEAM BLUE!

Thanks for all the well-wishes everyone! Wow a boy! Puppmom, they didn''t leave me in suspense it was pretty obvious on the screen and the tech said this is the butt and these are the legs and I said ''boy?'' and she was not contradictory and hubs agreed so it was really clear. On the shot I posted the cord can also be seen confusing things but on the live view is was even more distinct. I think they just don''t want to be the ones to state definitively one way or another on the gender. Especially the tech, who is not supposed to give clinical info to the patient.

I am still processing a bit - excited to have a pronoun (he!) but still a bit of... there is a little proto-*boy* in there? What am I going to do with a *boy*, LOL? I told my hubs I hope he knows how to raise boys
3.gif
not that I would have been any much more cluefull with parenting a girl but at least that gender seems a little more familiar! I even have a much younger brother and remember when he was born and all, so you''d think that would help somehow. Glad to have chopped off half of the naming options in the world! And little one/*he* is bigger than the last scan! And he is a *boy*!

In other news, my vote firmly goes for the NT as far as magical pictures are concerned, though a large part of that has to result from the facilities for my scans. My NT was at the hospital, and they had a second screen for my viewing so I got to see everything. Also even though the tech was all business, if I asked a question about what she was looking at she would give an accurate answer. This scan was at the radiology dept. of my doctor''s complex with no screen for me to see during most of the scan - boo! an hour of lying on my back uncomfortably watching hubs and tech watch the screen that I couldn''t see. We did get some print out pics and a few moments with the screen towards me. The tech was also really friendly but not super-useful in her responses. She would just say she was taking her special pictures that she needed, but not of what or why. No biggie I guess. I might consider doing the 3D scan a bit later now where I wasn''t before. I''ll have to think about it!

Jas, those pictures are super beautiful! Great that this baby is descending lower sooner, giving your home birth better odds.

Meresal - your son is gorgeous!

Jas, very cute pics!

oh my jas12....GORGEOUS pic of you and Co!!! i have a very similar one with B.

congrats to vesper!!

mere, what a precious little guy!!

hope everyone is doing well!!

Jas - great pics! Hate to say it, but K was dep in my pelvis for the last 5+ weeks, and t 0 sation for at least 3. And I was induced 10d over...

Jas-Thank you for posting the beautiful photos of yourself and your son. You said they were a family photo shoot, but they look professionally done; they are just gorgeous! If you hadn''t told us how you are really

feeling, we would never have have known, because you have that proverbial, radiant pregnant "glow". You said that you plan a home birth. Was your son, also, born at home? Good luck picking names. Let us

know what you decide!

AGBF--Thanks! i didn''t take the pics. I just meant it was a photo shoot with us as a family (i didn''t post any with DH in them) it was a friend that took them. She''s not pro, but trying to get into that career. I think she did a great job.
No, my son was not a homebirth b/c when i was pregnant with him the midwives in our area were completely booked. I had an OB. Our hospital is old, aggressive with interventions and the mat unit is always crowded and noisy so it''s not a nice enviro for birth at all. I am really hoping things work out for the homebirth.

DRK--ah, say it aint so
14.gif
. I guess i should know better than to assume anything about chilbirth. Being dilated/effaced/low/high/big/small means nothing about when labor will start, but a girl can hope. I guess i am just looking for signs of things being ''different'' b/c i am sooooo not wanting to go to 42 weeks again

TGIF everyone!

Vesper - CONGRATS - looking forward to hearing your birthday story!

Cara & Snlee- congrats on joining Team BLUE!

Jas - those pictures are beautiful - love them!!!

Work has been so hectic for me lately so, no time to really post, but I'm trying to follow along here the best I can - this thread moves quick! I have my 16 week appt. next Wed. so, I'm excited for that. Since it's been a month since I saw the babes.
5.gif
Also, we are making a ton of renovations to our apt. to accommodate two so, I've been living in chaos for the past week. However, the nursey (former home office) has nearly doubled in size and now all that's left to do is paint in furnish. It's weird to walk in there knowing that in October, it's going to be occupied.

Have a great weekend all!

jas - those pictures are incredible. co is certainly a little cutie and you are looking fab.u.lous! I can't believe you are 33 weeks - as you can see below, my nearly 33 wk belly has a much more torpedo-like look about it
6.gif
.

blushing - isn't progress gratifying. your expanded space sounds great for the twins. hope that you have a great *viewing* at your next appointment

swimmer - any more *progress*? can't wait to meet your little man.

****************************************************************

I finally got my act together and snapped a belly shot. I think it's been nearly a month since the last one and there has definitely been growth - hence the above torpedo reference. As you can see, I now lead with my belly button! This babe has developed into a terrific squirmer and may be impatient for her own birth as she seems intent on trying to burrow out the right side of my belly . . .

lulu32wk5d.jpg

and here''s a little side-by-side comparison of week 17 vs. week 32+

can''t imagine what week 40 is going to look like.

changesll.jpg

Cute pics, Lulu!!!! I cant believe how much that belly has grown!! I think you are going to have a good-sized babe!!!!!

ps- love your hair!!!!!

Lulu--you look terrific! You don''t look preggo at all in the 17 week.
but i bet at the time you thought you did?
