But long story short, I ordered this 2.7 ct unheated tanzanite from Gene.

I also got a new ring in the mail, but it's a diamond (and so not colored), but I'm enjoying it! Too bad illusion settings don't really work with blue stones since we don't have blue gold Guess I'll just have to stick with bezels for that added size-oomph!

I hope you get your stone soon! The mail has been so crazy lately. urgh!

I have been holding off buying that stone for a few days. I just decided I really wanted it. The same seller has another up though slightly bigger (mine is 7.1mm round) Now its off to find a setting. Not that I NEED to be setting anything else for a while

but this is what I had in mind.

I have no willpower at all.

In addition to the massive number of projects I currently have underway (demantoid, indicolite, spinel, pyrospess, and zircon rings)...I just bought 3 faceted rainbow moonstones. A matched pair of 4mm rounds and a single 5mm round. Earrings and ring? Plus I have a little pink tourmaline coming in the mail that I picked up for free!

I have the twin to this stone...Dan cut two of them! So I guess we are gemstone twins! I''m setting mine in a set of stacking rings. What are you doing with yours.
