Overjoyed to finally be posting pictures of a ring that's been twelve years in the making! We bought this 1.93 carat congo tourmaline from Dan Stair in 2007, and life got in the way of having it set. It's the first gemstone we ever purchased, and my husband wanted to have it set for our 25 year anniversary ❤ After months of searching, I finally found the perfect 18k setting at the Tucson Gem Show, from a great little shop called Paironi Jewelers. This gemstone seems a little hard to find now, glad we bought when we did!
Decided to pile on the rings like @T L does. 1 ruby and 2 spinels on my left hand, and a blue sapphire and paraibas on my right hand. The left hand image had the color settings adjusted to better match the color I see IRL in the red gems.

Since I’ve finally stopped lurking and am now posting, I shall play. My engagement ring has two sapphires, and one of my right hand rings is a blue diamond. I am in love with this blue diamond, and my heart still stops whenever I look at her. I still cannot believe my husband remembered that I mentioned that I saw a woman wearing a blue diamond that I loved back in 2014, and that he looked for the perfect stone until he finally found it in 2018.
Great ring! I really like cabochons! I have a 4.5 ct. natural no heat medium blue sapphire cabochon ring. I love how the focus is on the stone. When I see these rings I think sophistication and polish. Not just for men, I love this look on women too.

My engagement ring is platinum with a 0.8 carat blue sapphire, no idea about treatment, and 2 diamond side stones 0.54 carat F/G VS. UK size G or US 3.5.
My husband bought it from The London Victorian Ring Co in Hatton Garden. I didn't know much about sapphires back then - just asked for a blue sapphire. My husband knew/knows nothing about jewellery, so he didn't do too badly.
If I were to do it again I would have picked a lighter blue stone. Mine looks navy in shade and black indoors. But it's the sentiment behind it that matters. If I want bling to match my expectations I'll buy it myself.
My wedding ring is from another shop in Hatton Garden. Platinum with diamonds. Size G. No idea about diamond size or quality.
Jewellers in the UK don't seem to really focus on treated/untreated or stats. And engagement ring stones are more modest in size.
I've worn my set for 10 years and they take a lot of harsh treatment. I don't take them off to do gardening or cleaning. I'm clumsy and I knock them on things. The sapphire facets are a little worn, but only if you look really closely.
First 2 photos in sun, 3rd in shade.
