I just received my new 3.5ct purple spinel ring. Set in RG with metal milgrain halo and small diamonds on the side. Surprisingly, the colour of the stone and RG goes well together. Stone and customised setting by Instagram seller thegemcollector

Congrats! That's a beautiful spinel and a wonderful ring. I think I see 18K rose gold? It's wonderful to see the color combination, I will be setting a couple lavender spinels of my own in 18K rose gold this year.

Thanks @voce , it IS 18k rose gold. How do you tell that it is 18k versus 14k, apart from the fact that 18k is much more preferred in Asia?

Oh, they're more yellow compared to the 14k rose golds I see more often in my own collection. The lavender spinels, they're rectangular shaped, and I decided to keep the cost low and go with Stuller, so you won't be seeing very creative designs from me for them . I'll try to post tomorrow to show you which settings I chose.

Not mine so I don’t know the stats. I couldn’t pop in as you need to make an appointment to go in. I am assuming that the coloured stone is a garnet.

Decided to pile on the rings like @T L does. 1 ruby and 2 spinels on my left hand, and a blue sapphire and paraibas on my right hand. The left hand image had the color settings adjusted to better match the color I see IRL in the red gems.

Love this, especially that amazing paraiba pinky ring!
