Just playing with a photo gallery for PS community. Still in beta

I need to be able to edit my comments about photos. When I make a typo or (God forbid) a spelling error, I cannot rest until it has been corrected. I already made one mistake I am itching to correct...and I have left only two comments so far!!!

The link back to PS took a few tries to work, I like the concept but i think it feels a bit too much like Ebay for my taste and I think that it might cause PS to lose some of what makes it so great.

Right now it is in beta testing and we still have to sinchronize memberships.

The galery is meant to be for non-comercial (personal) items.

I really like it. My only issue is that I am receiving 3-4 emails about the same person''s comments. Probably a glitch!

I totaly hate the sidebar on the forum for it.
Makes it wayyyyyyy too busy and annoying.

I think that having those pics to the right of the forums is distracting. I like it, just not where it is. I can't concentrate with those pics to the right. Maybe it's just me???

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about it, but think it needs it's own place.
Oh so it has a name, storm is right that sidebar has got to go!!!!

I was about to post the same exact thing. I think the sidebar is distracting where it is....just not a fan of its location right now. Perhaps at the bottom of the page??

I agree that having the pictures next to the forum is distracting.

I suggest that it become somewhat like a forum, and that people can click on it to get to it.

I also like the fact that the ability to post is currently limited to Ideal Rocks. A minor reward for those who qualify.

give the sidebar a chance at least! it just made it''s debut.

did anyone else notice how when you navigate to a certain area of the forum, the corresponding gallery pictures come up? cool.

GREAT compromise Leonid...now you can toggle the sidebar on or off!!! YAY!!!!!

ETA: but you have to do it every time you change a forum.

I can't see any way to post a pic, and can't seem to get signed in. Am I missing someting, or is this part of the Beta glitches?

ETA: I think it is a cool concept. It will be interesting to see how it scales with volume. Like the toggling on and off. Didn't like the sidebar.

Lop, Open an album and you shoud see "add picture" link at the right. You have to sign in in order to see that link though.

Did you guys figure out how to toggle it off? I hought it is nice to have it visible so you'll see when new pictures have been posted...

I'll continue tomorrow. Got fairly long to-do list.

It had to do with capitalization issues.

Just in case:
* no links to diamond and/or jewelry websites.

* just personal items (jewelry it is), If it is an airplane or steamboat - can be someone else

* don't post pictures from other websites or other copyrighted materials

Anything else I forgot?

Maybe you should define the goals of this community gallery, that way we will know what the long term plan is for this. Seems simple to me, but others may have questions???

I had trouble for a few days...do think it is case-sensitive!!! I capitalized first letter of password/sign-ins and it finally works!!
