We shall see what FF thinks of it, and I'll report back that part of it, but it's probably going to be something like this: "It's blue and sparkly. And an oval."

Of course he could also look at it and go: "Holy #$%@!!!!It's #$%$&#@%@ HUGE!!!!" (he's got a messed up idea of a stone that's *huge*. It's 1.35 cts. How big can it be?!

It''s true, this situation much safer than leaving him to his own devices. We know the cut is a knock-out, so basically he just has to decide about the color. And I suspect in that regard he knows your taste well! I don''t think you have much to worry about.

I will say... having acquired more stones lately, my hubby has become more interested and I think he is starting to develop a better eye- so there is hope for our men yet!

icekid I think it will be fine. He knows me extremely well, and he''s had to live with me decorating choices for the past going on two years, and he''s been good so far--he actually picked out both curtain colors for the bedrooms and got exactly what I had in mind. I wish I could show you guys the video. It''s beautiful in the video and Dan said it''s bluer than that in real life.

innerkitten I just want to run to the mailbox and at least find out if it''s here! It''s taking all of me to keep from doing that! And when it gets here, I''m going to make him look at it while I''m in the room, and I''m going to ask him questions about it.

His answers will probably be along the lines of, "I dunno. It''s pretty." But DARNED if I won''t try!
