I''m embarrassed to admit that I''ve gained some (okay, a lot of) weight since I bought Dress #1 at David''s in September, so I was a little bit down on me (NOT the dress) when I compared the pictures earlier, but you guys made me feel so good wih your lovely comments! I keep promising myself that once I finish my defense of my master''s on Tuesday I am going to hit the gym because I won''t have an excuse not too anymore.

ANYWAY--now that I have the dress and you''ve seen it, I''m looking for suggestions for accessories--veil, shoes, jewelry, the whole shebang! Any suggestions? (What would I do without you guys?!) I tried the dress on with a long, gorgeous veil at the shop, but it costs $240, which sounds steep. I also have a single strand of pearls which I could wear, would that look good?

Haven, seriously, I''m not just trying to butter you up when I say the following: I have no idea where you gained weight, but you look AMAZING in that dress, right now, as you are, at whatever weight you are. If you want to rock it out at the gym, go for it! It''s a GREAT stress-reliever.

you look so amazingly gorgeous. how awesome is it that you got to be a 2-dress bride without the burden and guilt of that first dress hanging over you?!?! haha ok a little jealousy there.

I think a fingertip-length veil would look great, with no trim maybe so it just kinda floats down and doesn''t take away from the dress. I''m not so great at veil matching though, and I''m not sure what kind of look you want. I think a birdcage would look fantastic but not sure if you want something a little more formal.

I think the single strand of pearls would look great too, how long are they? I think one that is a little longer that would hit a few inches from the top of the dress would look great!!

Haven -- I just wanted to say, seeing you in your dress (in the last round of photos) made me feel pangs of buyers remorse about my dress. I even had a dream about you in your dress! All in all I''m happy with my choice (specifically because of the neckline on mine) but I do get a pang every time I see photos of you in it. You look so fabulous. That dress was made just for you. I can''t wait to see photos of you on your wedding day, you already look radiant as it is. I don''t think I could do that dress as much justice as you do which makes it even easier for me to just admire it from afar. Out of all the brides/dresses I''ve seen on here so far you have the dress I love the most and you look the most beautiful in it. Your FI is a very lucky guy.

Okay I just have to chime in again. Both of you bought the most **FABULOUS** dress. I would not worry about not looking fantastic in it no matter how tall you are. Did I say it was FABULOUS? I'm SURE you'll look great. Any pics of you in it as well?

I'm 5' 3" barely and I bought a mermaid dress. I don't think I look midgety in it at all. I'm sure this dress would have been fine also.
 
Thanks for the pep talk Violet!! I know this thread should be about how gorgeous Haven looks and not about my stupid insecurities but you know how it is. I dont have the dress yet and dont have any pics from the salon unfortunately - I have actually kind of forgotten how it looked on me which is part of the problem! I am 5'2" (but people always say I look taller) and i ordered the dress to be made so that the part where the skirt/mermaid part starts will be 2.5 inches higher. Hopefully that will be enough to keep me from looking too stumpy!

By the way, you look way taller than 5'3" in your pics! I love your Liancarlo and definitely wanted to try it on but then ended up ordering my dress after only going to two salons. I wonder if the Liancarlo would work better for us shorties because the start of the mermaid is higher than it is on the Mila? Anyways, I am being silly - I am really excited about the Mila and I hope it works out.

By the way, not to threadjack even more but Violet I have been meaning to tell you how awesome it is that you will be getting married in Carmel! It is so gorgeous there and it is my FI''s favorite place (he always says he wants to buy a house there one day).
