How about this one when you feel like being flashy?

I''m trying to find pictures of emerald cut earrings but I can''t copy the pictures from here http://www.adiamondisforever.com/. There is a pair of square EC earrings that looks nice.

Ladies:

I''d love your advice. I''m shopping for a wedding band to go with my EC three stoner (oh, that didn''t sound good), and I''m wondering if I should:

1) go straight platinum, with say a 2mm band
2) go with an eternity band - this will be tricky b/c I''m trying to get an estate wedding band and it''ll be tough to locate the right size
3) go with something like this:

Three-stone emerald cuts are already pretty complex, and I''m wondering if I should just go with the simple platinum band - I don''t want to disturb the simple beauty, you know? Help!!!

i vote for something like what you have pictured..................small channel or bead set would provide nice contrast. OR as youve said a simple platinum band but I would find that too stark

This is what Tiffany''s website recommends for their three stone rings. And my ring will be set like theirs.

Pretty, yes? (Looks like a knife-edge, which sort of works, oddly)

But of course, it''s www.stuartmoore.com. Under Stuart Moore Collection click on "jewelry by snapshot." He must have a thing for EC''s too b/c he''s got los of ''em. Enjoy!

Or how about this one? I hope you can open the link. (I''m out of control - sorry)

Obvious, perhaps, but still tops in my book.

Nothing wrong with obvious. That is downright spectacular!!!!!

This is the ring I tried to create a link to. Do you think this would look good with a three stone emerald cut? (The diamonds are very small - 3 points or so. The color is the same as my stone, but are not quite as clear as mine)

i like the knife edge very much---the opposing "geometry" is very clean

I''m thinking of adding a diamond wedding band with my EC - at the moment I have a plain one. I''ve tried on a simple channel set with 3-5pt RBs and I liked the look of it.

I liked the Stuart Moore website. I like the ECs set east-west in a wide plain band as a RHR on the middle finger.

Camellia:

Is your ring a three-stone emerald cut? The stones in the ring I''m considering are about the size of the diamonds you looked at.

thanks, everyone - I know I''m WAY off subject here.

No - mine is small RB, east-west EC, small RB. I''ll go home soon and put the pic back on. I think the small RBs just add a bit of sparkle without overwhelming the design of the e ring. Maybe my jeweller can pipe in here - considering he''s going to be making the ring for me hopefully later this year - PS are you there?

What about EC earrings? Any opinions?

I took the plunge and bought that sweet 3 pointer. I''m with you - small stones on a simple band should compliment the e-ring, which is what I''m after. Plus, I really wanted an estate piece, so I''m totally excited. thanks so much for helping me, even though that was not my original intent when I piped in. (All of this was going on while I was shopping for the band!)

I adore this site and all you fun/wonderful/kind-diamond lovin'' people. Thank you! Mary

Well done Mary - I''m glad you''re happy. I like estate jewellery too.

Anyway, I''ll try again with my EC. Here goes.

Funny that - I had to rename the original picture that I posted even tho'' it''s no longer appearing in my original post.

Sorry about the humungous hand! I shoved it in the scanner!

This is one I think I''d live to have but I don''t think I have the hands to get away with it

PS I love your rings Camellia

Here''s mine:

Champagne center stone, 1.02 carats. The brilliants in the wedding ring originally came from some of my mom''s and grandmother''s jewelry. I have two bands, but wearing all three rings together is too bulky. Oddly enough, one of the brilliants fluoresces yellow!

This is a picture from www.goodoldgold.com This is the side view of the martini style setting but instead of prongs you can have a bezel around the girdle of the diamond. With this style you can still have access to the pavilion for cleaning and looking at, but the earring lays closer to your earlob, which many ladies prefer. Mine are basket set and I like this style, but I love bezels too and would love a second set of earrings with bezels to match my pendant

Thanks for the tip MichelleCarmen. I like the martini style but hadn''t seen it with a bezel. That definitely sounds like the way to go.

What do people think of my plan to get RB earrings and RB+EC pendant? Do you think it will match with my rings? As you can see I already have those shapes.

i love the idea of the rb and the ec--the contrast between the shapes is simple and dramatic...

Any chance I get to show off my ring...

I''m thinking I either want a simple plain band or a band with channel set baguettes as my wedding ring.

ive seen a beautiful band that would be an interesting complement to these three stone beauties....its solid platinum with an eternity (ie all the way around) of beading (platinum bead ) with miunute milgrain...........It would be less costly than diamonds but not so plain as a plain plat band...i am trying to remember where i saw that ring....

Hopefully I can find a picture to show you. I''ve seen one before but couldn''t find it again when I looked for it last night so this probably is a less commonly available setting.

I think RB earrings would look great with a rb/ec pendant. It seems like emerald cuts are more appropriate for hands and pendants, but rb''s seem the first choice for earrings because you need more of a sparkle for someone to notice them behind your hair or whatever.

My ering is an RB but I do drool over a beautiful emerald cut diamond. I want an EC bracelet

but I''ll settle for a pair of earrings.

Michelle -- I"ve loved that ring you posted, by Tiffanys? On teh signed pieces site or something like that right? I''ve been showing it to my boyfriend constantly. Love love LOVE IT.

I think E.C.''s are so beautiful and timeless but all my friends just say, oh, but those arent sparkly. What do they know? Its definitely what I want on my ering!

All the rings that have been posted are beautiful -- hopefully I"ll be as lucky as you some day!!

Lol, not if I get it first!

I think I''d need to lotto first too. But I can always dream! I love how they make it seem like such a bargain at their discounted price, but its still so much $$.
