i have a secret supplier LOL I haven''t seen it anywhere online except at those fake bag internet sites claiming they are real and on ebay! This is 100% genuine

..and I still have not seen a black Gucci--not even in mags--you really must have a great source!!

Sundial: I told my hubby of my purse plans and he mentioned something about there being two new styles at Holt Renfrew (VL boutique in Holts)--and he wants to get me this one too! What a guy! (but I am not fooled by his nice routine, it just an appeasement for that 55 inch Plasma TV he is buying...

)

MMM we are going to have to see a picture of this bag when you get it! The new fall Gucci bags are just fabulous. Tell us what you think about those hoops too once you have had a chance to eyeball them.

Sharon your husband is a real gem!!! We have even more in common, my husband also has a plasma TV! My weaknesses may be jewelry and handbags, but his is definately TVs, electronics, and of course golf stuff.

Although I was online and looked at them and they look REALLY huge. They had one in Saks in Huntington Long Island (I think)...I'm going tomorrow to try it out for size! Sundial- ten bucks says after all this, I get squat

MMM: As for size, the very beautiful squareish dark purple bag was tantamount to carry on luggage for me--but any of the Hobo bags I saw were smaller.

Kaleigh and Sundial: don''t even get me started on the golfing and equipment and I am a golfer! My DH always says "you get a new bag and I get new a golf club"..but I rationalize to him that I use my stuff daily/365 days a year; but for golf every year we pay outrageous fees and only can golf for around three months (we live in Canada enuf said.....) a year! No comparison at all.............. Oh well, men......

Now MMM I am counting on you - you know that you deserve a new bag AND those hoops! Kaleigh it is nice to know there are more golf widows who are plasma poor out there!!! I finally took up golf in self defense but I am not too good yet. I like to tell everyone that I am the "B" team that my husband plays with when there is no one else available! Sharon at least here in New Mexico our golf season is a little longer, but I''ll bet your courses are beautiful up there.

Sundial, good for you that you are learning to play. I can''t as I have 3 herniated disks in my neck have had surgery etc... I used to be a competitive tennis player and had to give it up. I do ride around in the golf cart from time to time with my hubby. He plays all year long, UGHHHHH.

Hey guys! Aside from playing house at my in-laws who were in florida (sunning, bbq-ing...ahhhhh, simple pleasures out of the city) today was a BUST lol

I didn't get to go to saks to see the bag so I'm still not sure I want it.
I went to see the earrings...ummm, ok. The pair I almost bought were about 2 inches and 1ct. I told him smaller and with larger diamonds. He got in a par of 1 1/2 hoops tcw .35. I looked at him and pouted...

The good news is that he had a perfect perfect pair except for no stones on the inside...which he is going to do for me. They are going to be about 1 inches (maybe a teensy bit more) and 1ct total. They were really pretty!
But I ask "how much" and he kept saying don't worry about it. I was laughing and telling him he was crazy and then he told me he'd let me have them for cost. Sweet! I'm not sure exactly what he meant by that (maybe putting the new stones in at cost...dunno...surely he couldn't have meant the cost of the pair?)

Well at least now you have something definate to wait on MMM! Keep us posted. Kaleigh I live in New Mexico where we have no Saks, no Nordstrom, no Neiman''s, no nothing for shopping. That''s why I have to make up for lost time when we travel. Sorry to hear about your neck injury keeping you from your sports, that is a bummer!

For me, yeah it is too big. But I don''t carry a lot of stuff in my bags. I''m 5''7" and about 116lbs. and I just couldn''t carry off that one. But I do like it!

It does look too big and yes that arm hole is too small...I think you should keep looking.

Is the strap not adjustable at all? Lots of women like big bags, I see millions of them out there, but they are just not for me. I don''t like my bag to wear "me".
Diamonds, however, are ANOTHER story altogether......

One of my Saks just closed too, but it was a junky one that I never knew how it survived...however, look out for the MASSIVE sale they''ll have. Go towards the beginning. Ours went on for like three weeks, but I assumed when I missed the first weekend that anything worth it would be gone, apparently I was mistaken because in the 2nd week my friend picked up a cute little Burberry coat that was severely discounted. I went really late and it was mostly picked over, I found a cute pink burberry trench but even at the discounted price I didnt feel like shelling out for it.

Sundial, one of my best friends from college is out in NM and she always has the same complaints!

MMM, Big bags can be hard. i''ve seen some pictured online and I''m like nooo way, but then I''ve tried some on at the stores and they look cute. I think it just depends....the prada one looks nice though.

I was thinking the same thing about them taking over the King of Prussia store but that is a huge space for them. I pray it''s not true. One of my best friends heard it from a friend and they shop there all the time. I will really miss it. I''m sure if it IS true and that''s a big if we will hear something more concrete soon.

I''ve been hearing rumors for several years that Saks might move back to center city. They used to be at 8th & Chestnut until the late 1960''s or early 70''S. I thought they moved to Bala Cynwyd because there weren''t enough customers in Phila to keep them going. If the city offers them a sweet enough deal, maybe they will move back.

For heaven''s sake MMM that first bag is HUGE! I love the second one though.

The best thing we have for department stores in the entire state of New Mexico is Dillard''s. You can''t buy any designer handbags beyond Coach or Dooney & Bourke here. Thank goodness for the internet and traveling.

LOL...Yeah, the guc is pretty darn big! The prada is a lot smaller...the gucci is about 19 inches long and the prada 10 or 11...We shall see!

Yeah, actually I had heard nothing about that one closing and then was driving into work one day and they actually had a radio commercial about the sale, so random! I''d assume they''d do the same thing near you, who knows, maybe yours won''t even close...guess you have to just wait and see.

This is a really bag from what one can see in the pic...I own a larger Marc Jacobs in black...can''t remember the name but its very versatile and I will get alot of use out it...I also like Balenciagia bags(I am not too sure of the spelling sorry!)

I like the way they feel and their slouchy appearance for just casual running around. They can be pricey, but Overstock.com and a few other websites carry them at better than department store prices I have found....Nonetheless, it is an investment with a better made bag.

I trade off with my bags so they get use every once and awhile...I like to change things up with the season, event, or just for fun...
