I love love love LV!!! My bf just bought me the new LV Shirley bag for my birthday (in three days). It's the one that is white and multicolor which can be carried as a clutch, a purse, and a wristlet. Uma Thurman is carrying it in the ads. I also love Dior, didn't hear too many Dior fans out there. Now I have to go home and take pics of my bags and post 'em. Let me see if I can find pics online of the bags that I have.

MMM, I love that Gucci bag and I don't think it is too big at all! I am a lover of big and small bags. I'm actually thinking of that bag myself! It's so beautiful and big enough to carry everything! Including all of my daughter's toys and snacks!

I've pre-ordered this Francesco Biasia in the Espresso color. It's at Nordstrom but they're not shipping until October.

I want this Gerard Darel 'Drape' bag(in the large size, prefer the python) but will have to wait a bit.

Milly I love LV too and your new bag is just too cute! Like your collection too Kaylagee. That red Epi Alma is next on my list. How do you like it? I have the Trouville and the Cabas Piano in the monogram canvas and have really used them both a lot. The Cabas is the perfect size and shape in my opinion. Wish they would make it in Damier or Epi. Looking forward to hearing how Moremoremore comes out with her handbag shopping!

You guys are such a bad freaking influence! : ) I usually go to Marshalls/ TJ Maxx and pick something off the rack, then I saw a bag I liked at Bloomingdales and caved in and spent like $50 - $70 for an awesome bag (it was Ellen Tracey for $198 but 50% off, plus extra 10% for Bloomies card and an extra $10 off because it had a scratch in the leather), but I felt guilty about spending so much on a handbag, then I read this thread and fall in love with this bag and it''s $300!! The worst is that this is not my first choice : )

I felt sick (in the biblical sense.....greed, etc...) when I went to the site..I just wanted so many of them...but I did get a good laugh when I saw my new bag and the ones my hubby originally wanted to buy me under the thumbnail "totes"...me the eshewer (no such word I know) of all bags large....LOL

Is that bag you posted leather? It is sweet to be sure. But more importantly, I loved that you got your own hunnie dinner first.

Bridget a good handbag is an investment and it is a woman''s signature piece. Both of the bags you posted are most excellent and you shouldn''t hesitate if one of them really grabs you! I think it is better to have a few really well made handbags than a bunch of cheap ones.

MMM you just need to make it to Sak''s so you can see and feel and try on the different Gucci bags. I love my new brown one!

Have you guys seen the new brown quilted Chanel tote bag with the patent leather CC logo and orange interior? I saw it while we were in Vegas and it is to die for! A little big for me, but really scrumptious!!!

Purses are almost as good as diamonds!!!

LOL!! So many things that we have fun with can be. sigh. On the plus, most expensive bags seem to last forever. I''m not sure if this is solely due to superior craftsmanship or because we''re just extra careful w/ ''em because we''ve overpaid for canvas or a dried cow''s(or reptile''s) butt.

I do enjoy them but will probably take a looooong break soon. Another thing is that some were gifts. My family and dh know that I''m a bit picky, so they usually ask what I want in advance. I''m rarely surprised but nearly always pleased.

I used to comfort myself by thinking I''ll pass the bags and clothing to daughters, but that hasn''t happened yet.(ultrasound said another boy)

Thanks for all the compliments! The Alma is pretty cool, it''s constructed yet roomy.... without allowing me to totally slob out and lose control like in my larger totes and hobos. I actually have to make choices about what I bringing. LOL!

Lately, I only carry the LVs(and that woven YSL mombasa) when I''m without DS. though. They just don''t work for me right now.. Sticky, greasy hands, leaky sippy cups etc.... They''re not as practical for this period of my life as the slouchier, wipeable, ones. The ysl hobo is a nice compromise.

Bstrasz -- I remember when you got that Ellen Tracy bag, you ended up getting such a great deal on it! I really like that green ks you posted, just think of the fun pop of color that would be to so many outfits! It can be hard to pay a lot for a purse, but I use mine so much, that it is worth it to have something exactly how I like it. I have a wide range of bags, I love some of my $25 ones more than my $250 ones. For trendy bags I try not to spend too much, that way if after a season I dont want it anymore I dont feel guilty! but for a classic piece that will last me a while, I''ve spent quite a bit.

MMM -- are you getting either the small or the large of that bag in the fabric or the leather? The leather looks amazing, but I bet the price is also amazing compared to the fabric. Great looking bag though.

Are there pictures of the quilted LVs yet?
