Okay well, massages.

AGBF, got your sweet email, love the thought, but a virtual cheesecake is just fine!!! I don't know about a real cheesecake for these thighs!

J/K, WTG!

BTW, our local Costco sells Lilikoi Cheesecake. How cool is that, and tough on those thighs.

Where did Leonid promise to reward everyone who hit 10,000 postings? Maybe he is recognizing Mara because she got there first. Do you want us to bankrupt the poor guy?

Deb :-)

Mmmm... Ive heard the Parker is wonderful. It''s been a great summer so far there (100 is GREAT this time of year). We hated to leave in some ways. It''s nice and quiet, and the best of the desert comes out.

If you are up for a higher end, nice dinner, try Johannes on Indian Canyon. Modern, fusion type cusine from an Austrian chef who I think if one of the best in the desert. I think they have their menu on their web site.

Enjoy!

Hey, Mara, you''re back from Palm Springs! What about a word to the faithful here?

Deb, still waiting for a cake address!

Damn Deb I was hoping you'd forget!

I *really* don't need cheesecake after this trip we just came back home from. It'll be salads for me for the next 2 months!!

Lop...the Parker was just divine. Honestly, I cannot recall being so impressed with a hotel in all our stays. Their service was top notch, the on-site restaurant was just as yummy as their NYC sister, they also had beautiful grounds, lovely architecture, great rooms, multiple pools...but again it was really the excellent service, happy staff, and all the small 'details' that made it a really great place to stay for a few days!! We now intend to go back each year in the off-season, not that many people around and it was so quiet and relaxing.

We asked the concierge about Johannes, but Greg was craving seafood, so he ended up booking us at Pacifica in Rancho Mirage (?) which had very good seafood actually, even though it was kind of in an upscale mall looking place. Reminded me of that whole 'would you go to a mall jeweler'..aka 'would you go to mall upscale restaurant'..hee hee. It was a good choice and we got a bit of a sightseeing drive out of it.

Anyway, I checked out Johannes website and we definitely would like to go there next time we are in town!! Yesterday when we left, temps were climbing to over 110 so I think we came home just at the right time. Of course here at home it seems as though we're finally experiencing summer, we've had our A/C on all afternoon...just when we thought we could escape A/C...nope!

Mara!!! I was off PS all week and I missed your big 10K!! Congrats!!!

So these are REALLY silly, but here are my poetic tributes I''d sent to Belle in honor of your milestone

ME TOO! Those are fabulous, blueroses...my fave is the first one...tiara sounds good.

But all three... made me smile.

I just read again through all the touching things posted here...thank you again for the very kind words all!! You guys are too cool.

Belle, is anyone missing from your list...I am still curious to see if anyone is hiding out there. I would have been sad to miss BlueRoses's imaginative lines of prose!

Aw shucks

Glad you like em!

I agree, though about the Tiara!!
