Tempore Uomo by Laura Biagiotti is my fav at the moment. I know it's supposed to be for men, but I love it. But sometimes I go back to Eternity by Calvin Klein or Hot Couture by Givenchy.
Paradise from Next is quite nice during the day, but sadly it doesn't have much staying power.

I love HOT Couture by Givenchy, definitely a winter scent - Very spicy and warm.
My signature would probably be Allure by Chanel. Most people don''t like either of these two fragrances, too warm or too sweet for some. For some reason they just work with my body chemistry and just end up smelling like ''me'' but better. It''s amazing how perfumes smell different on everyone.
Time is also SUCH an important factor, scent needs time to develop. It''s funny, I was given Allure as a gift, and I don''t like it straight out of the bottle, or even after the first twenty minutes, but it develops into something lovely. I would never have tried it - or become addicted if I wasn''t given it as a gift.
Oh*** - Bikergirl - Chanel #5 is the first 100% synthetic frangrance!
(Although it''s notes are clearly based on flowers, as you''ve discovered.)
It Became popular during WWII when service men were in france, and wanted something to bring back their sweeties. It was a time when most perfume companies significantly decreased production because of wartime efforts, and because agriculture was at a low in Europe. Because Chanel #5 was synthetic production could continue, and it was far less expensive than it''s competition. - MarLo''s trivia tid bit for the day.

Signature scent would probably be Annick Goutal''s Gardénia Passion, which I''ve been wearing since it came out in about 1988. I also love her Les Nuits d''Hadrien and some of the classic Chanels, No. 5 and No. 19 particularly.

...Before my first kid, the first Boucheron and the first Oscar De La Renta. After baby, did NOT smell the same...
Guerlain used to make a line of herbal tonic-y ones I loved. Love Comptoir sud Pacifique, and Anick Goutal, though I must choose well...the dry down smell can be like cat urine.
Actually my horses smell even better than Chanel to me!Date: 7/26/2005 9:28:24 AM
