I got a phone call today from an internship that I applied for months ago that said I''m in the running a position and wanted to confirm that I''m still interested. Its in Chicago and comes with a living allowance and a stipend. Yahoo, right? I was supposed to get an email within the hour with more details, but it that hour was about 10 hours ago and the email has yet to come.


I wouldn''t really mind, if the same thing didn''t happen to me just last week! An email that says I''m an alternative for another internship, and that I should be expecting to receive a bundle of documents in a mail which I''ve got to fill out and return. Its been a week, and no package yet.


Both are super competitive internships; I don''t want to irritate them by calling in, but I also don''t want the opportunity to pass me by in case I haven''t gotten the email/package by mistake. Should I call in?

I don''t think you''d irritate anyone by calling to check in. It''s probably better to be on the safe side and check with someone, just to make sure it didn''t slip someone''s mind for whatever reason.

Every year we have a Eurovison Song Contest party. We have done this for years and years. My son has decided to go out on Saturday when its on. I am really upset and annoyed with him. I reminded him a few weeks ago when it was yet he still arranged to go out with his friends. When I told him I was upset he said he still wants to go out.

Got a Phillipe Starke Louis Ghost Chair... in lucite... arrived today... I''m sitting on it, its great, husband hates it. This will set back the tahitian pearl budget, but it had to be done.

Two years ago today, my friends and I were camping while several tornados went through.
Only our cars were damaged/ totaled. Uhh.. just thinking about it makes my stomach churn .. people died in this storm. We survived. We were all so lucky!!!

We are going camping again in the same area this friday. I''m nervous...

"Groom" and "Bride" are getting hitched. I know i know a bit soon, but you all know it was going to happen anyway. LOL NO I AM NOT PREGNANT. So you can come out for the ceremony at city hall, or you can meet us at the party after. Don''t feel pressured to buy us gifts, but they are highly appreciated! and BYOB for the after party.

Believe me, I''m all for casual weddings, etc. But I''m just not a fan of this wording, or using Facebook for invitations, lol.
