Usually she ignores all my posts, you know, will posts on everyones "SMTB thread but mine"

Then when she does post at me, its outright mean. A while back Im fairly certain she tried to get me off this site.

Niel, I read all your posts, and you are never anything but helpful and nice to people. You respond to posts that nobody else feels like dealing with and you go out of your way to offer suggestions and advice. I've seen someone be nasty to you in the past, and if I see it again I'm reporting it because that person is violating the agreement that is required when you sign up - basically, to be decent to each other. And I encourage you to report it the next time it happens, because that person is violating PS rules.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, I don't think this is your fault, and frankly I'm sick of the occasional rudeness and nastiness I see here on PS just because someone has decided they don't like someone else. So immature. If a person has that much of an issue with you, he/she should just block you and be done with it.

I know I wouldn't appreciate being on the receiving end of this nonsense. You have the right to feel comfortable here.

Hang in there and try not to let this bother you too much - keep posting and just have fun - living well is the best revenge.

Thanks everyone. I didn't wanna "stir the pot" just this thread is a nice place to throw the random thought in. And I didn't want to make a whole thread about it. Just say I'm a little sick of it. Your right maybe bulling isn't the right word. Just someone being a jerk for no reason. I agree block me and leave it at that.

I wasn't going to try and defend myself as I wasn't going to give validation to a stupid comment. Just annoying some of the mean girl behavior.

Not everyone is going to get along. But no reason to go out of your way to be mean. I just don't get it. Its the internet?

You all are sweethearts. I'll get out of my pity party

Yes, Niel, I would politely request that you stop now. :))

Aww, honey! I don't know what I'm doing (because I'm asleep when I'm doing it, lol), but I wake up with a sore neck - always on the same side. Ya think its pillows?

Okay, a really important one: If people use sponges in the kitchen, how long do they keep them for? How often do you change them? Do you ever nuke them or run them through the dishwasher? I nuked one once and practically burned my house down. I think I use my sponges way too long, so I'm curious what others do?

I actually don't use any pillows when I sleep on my stomach, and even when I TRY to sleep in some other postion the pillow often ends up on the floor or the other side of the bed. I do have one of those foam pillows that I paid a fortune for at my chiropractor's one time... maybe I should try using that! (Rolls eyes at my own stupidity... )

And the sponges... they weird me out. On the rare occassion that I do them use, the INSTANT they even get a HINT of a smell of ANY kind -- straight in the garbage. I have heard of people putting them in the dishwasher, but never the micowave. What about boiling them maybe?

Okay Dee*Jay, now this whole schizophrenic convo is going to fascinate me! I have two of those special pillows and use them religiously because they are supposed to be the ideal thing, lol! Maybe that's the problem, my stupid orthopedic pillows? I don't know...I'm just wondering for you, though, no padding just head right on the mattress? Not even on your arms? I would think that would put your neck at an odd angle, fwiw, but I used to sleep like that too - you just wake up that way!

As to the sponges...then what do you use? I'm always looking for better things, but it seems like everything gets nasty if left wet.

Yep, head right on the mattress. I know, I'm the strangest sleeper in the world...

As for what I use to clean... let's just say when the children of PSers grow up and never get to experience a living tree it's because of my paper towel fetish. I even buy the ones that you can tear at smaller perforations (so like 6" instead of a full 12" towel) and I still go through them like crazy. My dad used to work for Georgia Pacific. I'm the reason he was able to retire early, LOL.

Paper towels for surfaces, brushes for dishes and tubs. Different brushes obviously. Brushes go in the dishwasher every cycle. New ones every month or two depending on use.

So a weird thing happened yesterday. My dh got very lightheaded (he had eaten breakfast) and he almost blacked out on our (tandem) bike and we crashed because of that. Thank goodness he didn't get hurt though I got pretty banged up. Both knees all bloody and both shoulders black and blue and back bruised as well as my left elbow all cut up and bruised. I must have rolled when we fell. He lost control, we hit a pole went right and then left and then bam, crashed to the ground. It all happened like in slow motion and as the whole thing was happening I kept thinking my dh would regain control of the bike. I had no clue he was sort of blacking out.

We are OK but I am very concerned about what might be going on. About 10 years back he had a few of these lightheaded almost blacking out episodes and he wore a heart monitor for 24 (or was it 48?) hours but nothing showed up. So when we get back from vacation I am insisting he goes to our internist (like he doesn't have enough medical appointments lately :(( ) and now I am a bit nervous to get back on the bike but onward and forward. Though after the crash yesterday he felt OK and we continued with the biking (after tending to my many wounds LOL) and we cycled another 50 miles haha. Today I am in a bit more discomfort re my back and neck though. Not sure how my dh came out of the crash with two little cuts but thankful for that! ANd it could have been much worse-could you imagine if we crashed into a car! :errrr:

Missy that must have been a very scary experience!

I post because your story reminds me of a friend of mine who got diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago. In hindsight he realises that he has had symptoms for many years but he didn't understand that the "feeling funny" or not being able to move his fingers for a split second was epilepsy. One day he blacked out, fell and injured himself and then he got his diagnosis. I have of course no idea if this is what happened to your dh. I just wanted to share and you could bring the question to your doctor if you want. My friend is medicating now and has no symptoms.

Kaleigh, Too Patient, and justginger - Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. I'm meeting with my doctor to discuss what she thinks the issue may be. It was a grade A embryo and my lining was excellent.

Too Patient, I'm thinking of you and your family as well.

Niel, try to stay focused on all the other wonderful posters you interact with, and don't let this one poster bring you down.

I'm sorry. I hope your doctor is able to determine the cause (and that the cause is easily corrected!).

Thanks for your kind thoughts. My grandparents are having a very tough time, but getting past the initial shock.

Brightlight, I am so sorry to hear that it did not progress the way you had hoped. Hopefully your doctor can work through a differential diagnosis for what could be the issue, and how best to resolve it - leading to a happy, healthy pregnancy in the near future.

Akvileja, thanks so much for sharing your experience. My dh actually said when it first happened (first time was actually over 20 years ago-I wasn't aware of that one) he thought of epilepsy as a possibility but mainly because a friend's cousin had just been diagnosed at that time. I will absolutely mention this to his doctor though I made a cardiologist appt for him when we get back and I know he needs to see a neurologist to r/o epilepsy. Ugh I googled all about epilepsy now and am not liking the possibilities and what it could mean. I do appreciate you posting about this-thanks so much.

YT-LOLOL Who is this Ben and lucky for him my dh isn't the jealous type...
:cheeky: Seriously though, that's a blast from the past isn't it! Do they still make the stuff?

Minou-thanks so much for your good thoughts. You are always so kind!

And thank you too Dragonfly!

Brightlight, I am so sorry... I am sending you lots of good thoughts and PS dust and best wishes for a happy and healthy future pregnancy! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I am always missing your posts, missy! I am very sorry to hear about your fall - what a fright (and pain too!). I think he should have his bloods done - even though he had just eaten, it does sound like a bottomed out glucose issue. Maybe he has high insulin levels? Whatever it is, I hope your dr ferrets it out. I hate feeling that something is 'off,' but not to such a degree that you can pinpoint what it is.

For what its worth, when I feel that someone is being mean to me, or I am being picked on, even though it doesn't feel good, I take it as an opportunity to reflect on my own actions. I try to figure out if there is something I am doing to cause it, instead of dismissing it on the actions of the other person. That's not to say that I let them slide or condone their actions, just that I've found that I typically have a part in it, and can learn about myself and try to change when this happens, instead of writing it off as bullying... :)) ;))

I think you're awesome, MB, but I disagree with this wholeheartedly. I was not-a-popular child; between the being booed off stage during a random fundraiser and the kids who tried to beat me up for bring weird, I could probably say I was bullied, except that I made a habit of beating anyone who tried into the ground.

I do not think I had a part/provoked the bullying: the best lesson I learned was to stay me, center, and use the resulting balance to throw a better punch. I see what you're saying ... I just think it comes from a very different philosophical background.

So, from my perspective? Niel, frak 'em if they can't take a joke. Hone your logic and your wit, apply them enthusiastically if not aggressively, and take your admirers closer to heart than your critics. Also, turning the other cheek is a luxury. Why waste your luxuries on jerks when there are diamonds to be had?

Thanks Ginger, those are great points and definitely going to get bloods done. His hemoglobin a1c was borderline the last couple of years so you might be on to something and he does get a bit lightheaded if his blood sugar gets low. Thanks Sharon- absolutely will do. He's of the age that cardiac/circulatory issues can start becoming a problem and he does have a family history of cardiac issues.

Just some more random comments-I work with older individuals one day a week and often have one of them saying to me not to get old, that it is awful and such. And it always amazes and saddens me to hear that and I always say to them what is my alternative? Of course I want to grow old and I want to grow old with my dh and enjoy this journey with the love of my life/my soulmate.

We'll deal with the ups and downs that life has to offer and do the best we can and the most I can hope for is that we can grow old together in relatively good physical and mental health.

When things like this happen (some of you know about what has been going on health wise with my dh over the last couple of years) it really brings this to focus. That is truly all I hope and pray for- to be able to enjoy my old age with my dh and so this is what is on my mind recently and thank you PSers for being so supportive. I had hesitated to even post about this because it seems like a bit too much drama re my life lately when I am posting on PS about my dh's health issues and I don't want to be that kind of poster if that makes any sense. But I am glad I did because you gave me some excellent advice and support and I really do appreciate it.

Now back to our regular scheduled programming... :wavey:

See, Missy, this is why I think you are so awesome! I love your attitude and huge and loving heart :)) I did not know of health issues (of if I did, my pea-sized memory center has forgotten) and will continue to send you healing and happy thoughts and prayers. Fwiw, I have loved reading your posts about you and your DH, because you seem so close and happy; it is my goal that if and when I find a partner again, that we will have a relationship similar to yours. I am not saying that to elicit any kind of response; I say that to let you know that you have made a difference to at least one person (I suspect many, actually). :wavey:

I tripped walking up a short flight of steps yesterday. I pitched completely forward. I caught myself mostly with my left hand and scraped my right knee and a little of my left. Well, today I feel like I ran a marathon with no training. Every freakisg muscle hurts. I kind of think I might have pulled a muscle in my back. Ten years ago I bet i would have dusted myself off and had no consequences. Not anymore. This stinks!

I just wanna say....one, I have finally realized I gotta limit myself to how much time I spend on this site(and the Good Old Gold site) because it makes me think non-stop of the diamond I want. Two, after all the ordeal with rings I've had I am pretty certain that a AVC cushion is what I am meant to have in the Lynda setting by JbEG. Three, I told my husband I would hold off with the diamond. Four, I bought a plain basic gold band to match my husband because right now I wear nothing, I had it less than 24 hours. I need diamonds, so I ended up exchanging it for a diamond band from a local store. It's being sized. Five,I am praying it allows me to get by for awhile until I can get another diamond.

Always

I deleted my Facebook the other day. I'm going through withdrawals. I used to be super active here and then picked up in the FB community. Let's see how long I can hold out. I was way too dependent on that stupid site!

In other news, I'm getting married in May and my parents want to buy me a nice piece of jewelry. At first it was a necklace, but the idea of a wrap for my Vatche has always been something I wanted...

Anyone have any awesome 3 stones that are drool worthy? I've only really been thinking of round or pear sides, but would love help brainstorming. I don't think I'm rocky tally ready yet, so I might as well throw it out there
