If hes in USAGHumphreys, its not difficult at all to get settled in. I asked category because if he is a 1, he can contest it and bring your family over asap. 2 is slightly less needed but still important, and 3 is everyone else.

*face palm* I still forgot to ask him the category!

He is stationed at K-16, he is a blackhawk pilot there.

We did get our request for orders, Feb 25, let the countdown begin.

At least you have orders....I STILL keep hearing any day....any day. It has been what almost 7 weeks???? Usually I don't have dramatic moments but this week I just feel my nerves on edge about it. ;(

You are STILL waiting for orders?! Ughhh. I am so sorry-I know how frustrating that is. Hopefully you hear something soon!!!

It's my birthday!!!

And it turns out I'm only 36! For some reason, I thought I was 36 all this past year and that I was turning 37. So I'm thinking I should say I'm 35 this year since I skipped it altogether! :wink2:

SB - I hope you get your news very soon - and that it's good!

lol wishing you all the best Rosebloom!

I thought it was just me! I've never admitted to anyone that I have to stop and do the math when someone asks how old I am because I just don't bother to remember from day to day!

Thank you Clueless, VRBeauty and TooPatient. And congrats on your wedding, TP!

Haha! Just realized that I've been a PSer for a year now.

Congratulations!

Took DH to the spine specialist yesterday. He is super worried about some serious problems and instructs DH to remain out of work until we figure out what is going on.

Had blood work done yesterday. Most of the same that was done in July but with a few other things tossed in to be thorough.

Had flexion and extension x-rays done yesterday to verify stability. I'm hoping we don't hear back from the dr on those today -- if we hear back it will be to get in to a surgeon ASAP.

I'm calling to schedule him for another two MRI's today -- had one last week (day before our wedding :(sad ) and one the week before. Need to have these two done to start and may be going back in for another one or two depending on those results.

I'm also calling a neurologist to get him seen there too. The dr last night called that office to make sure we are gotten in ASAP.

The spine specialist is great. He is being very thorough and talking through his logic with us but not jumping to conclusions or trying to scare us. I appreciate that he took the time to go over everything with us last night and that he let us know what he was trying to rule out with different tests.

It is hard sitting there (especially just a week after our wedding) hearing things like multiple sclerosis, neurological disorders, auto-immune disorders and permanent paralysis. These are just possibilities. Some more treatable than others. It is also possible it is just out of alignment stuff and the nerves are being pinched.

The insurance is being a pain still. DH hasn't been paid since July and we're really running out of emergency funds. If the disability claim isn't sorted out in the next week or two, I just don't know what we'll do.
I am so angry with the insurance people right now. Looking at the tests and all the treatments he's been in for should be good enough for them. But it isn't :nono: He really can't return to work right now and the dr says if he does it could cause irreversible damage.

TooPatient-I'm thinking of you and your dh...sending good thoughts and positive vibes and lots of PS dust your way.

TP- sorry to hear what is going on at the moment....

Big (gentle) hugs to you guys...

I am so pissed off at the unprofessional geezer who USED to be my pharmacist that words cannot even.

LOATHSOME, UNPROFESSIONAL, HYPOCRITICAL POS.

Ugh.

TP, what you're dealing with sounds wretched and challenging and painful on multiple levels. I am SO sorry, and will be crossing all fingers and toes that all things financial and medical are cleared up PRONTO.

Thinking of you and your dh TP, and sending lots of positive thoughts that things start falling into place soon.

TooPatient,

I hope everything works out for you and your husband.

I'm sorry! I hope you have a new pharmacy to work with that can take care of whatever happened.

But I have to say..... OMG I needed that laugh!

Thanks to all for the kind words and a wonderful place to come cry when I have to be strong IRL.

Still waiting to hear from the spine specialist on the x-rays BUT the blood work all came back normal. The mixed-blessing of seeing the lab results on line at the same time the doctor can see them is that I'm able to scan through them all and see that everything checked falls in normal ranges but I'm not able to completely know for sure what it means until the doctor reviews it and gets back to me. To my untrained brain, it looks like great news! All of the stuff in the blood the doctor was concerned about finding (signs of muscle infections, organ issues, autoimmune diseases etc) is well within normal ranges.

So, for now, I'm going to take this as good and just focus on getting the other stuff done and paperwork filed as needed.

The next two MRI's are scheduled for tomorrow. Those are with contrast. We should (hopefully) know by the end of this week if he needs to get in for an MRI of his brain. Hoping to have all of those done to take images and radiology reports along with to the neurologist.

Scary times though.
He fell in the kitchen night before last when his leg muscles just gave out. Then yesterday he couldn't get out of bed or stand up from sitting in a chair without help.
