Oh wow! Thank you so much for posting this-I am always looking for harpists with a “cool” vibe. She’s amazing. I play piano but harp is my favorite instrument. I keep thinking of buying a full size concert version, but then I remember I have a kid. Haha

Interesting(?) fact: when I was giving birth to my daughter, I had the lights dimmed and a CD of instrumental harp music playing. My doctor (who had just come back in after attending other births) remarked “that was the most peaceful birth I’ve ever seen.” Music matters. And he retired 6 weeks later.

I was thinking of you yesterday @canuk-gal. The pumpkin farm near our home opened this past weekend. I drove by it yesterday morning before they opened for the day. Everything was displayed so beautifully. My first thought was Sharon would love this.

I went to my first Drag Queen show last night. It was a pageant to crown the first ever drag queen in my area. It was a great show.

Oh BTW Miss CC, I came home from work yesterday to find a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice cold brew in the fridge. There was a orange sticky note on it addressed to me "Miss Pumpkin 2024" with a scary silly pumpkin face drawn on the note. He also knows me too well. LOL I am enjoying it now for breakfast--they keep very well!

So… the same day you posted this, a high school friend of mine who is now a representative to her state legislature posted about what fun she’d had the night before, judging a drag queen contest! Of course there were probably quite a few similar event being held on the first weekend of Gay Pride Month.

I'm one of those weirdos that actually loves having the day's light end early. I love to turn on the indoor lamps and the fireplace. The glow in the room with the fireplace warming up the house, cat sleeping in her kitty cup near the hearth... there is nothing better. (Perhaps a good roast beef cooking in the oven would be a great accompaniment as well!) I guess having grown up in northern Canada makes me feel this way, and I enjoy these cooler months so much.

I wish I did. I'm glad it makes you happy, Maybe it makes me so unhappy because I grew up in Miami!

I detest driving home from work in the dark!
I wish they would just pick a time and stick with it. This back and forth makes me crazy.
