He is a bit over 8 months but he is HUGE...he looks to be full grown. He is going to be so big when he gets to be a full adult lol. So far it has been a bit challenging but we knew it would be...It's a big adjustment. He was crying all night but right now he is laying next to me in bed purring so hopefully he will adjust. He was hissing at all our other cats and Gracie and Oliver were hissing at him. He has not eaten any wet food but is eating some dry

Thank you dear Slickk. We named him Jasper. Greg and I both feel it fits him to a T. Greg said Felix was growing on him but then we both decided Jasper fits him well

OMG I wish I had my phone here. He is so sweet laying on me purring I don't even care that I spilled coffee all over the bed sheets and skirt LOL...I cannot get up to clean it because he is laying on me so happily. I will take it!!! Coffee smells good anyway and I can buy new sheets :)


Thank you everyone for your good wishes as Jasper settles in to our home. Hoping all the cats accept each other. Right now they are not but it will take time. Just hope it happens

Thank you Kenny. We have renamed him Jasper. It fits him very well. I was thinking Casper to be ironic but LOL Jasper fits him better

Thank you. NO the other cats are not happy and neither is Jasper but we hope in time...it's a bit stressful right now though Oliver and Gracie are in their playpen for the moment while Jasper is laying on me in bed. He is finally purring which is music to my ears because he was crying all last night. He sounds so much like Oliver when he cries it is going to be difficult telling them apart when they are being vocal lol
 
Greg brought me the phone so I took a selfie of Jasper...he is still laying on my lap purring up a storm. I have to pee but I dare not move :lol:

I invited a dozen people for Christmas day dinner thinking that between 4-6 would come. All 12 are coming :eek-2: The good news is that I scored good deals on new dishes and silverware on Black Friday and Cyber Monday so we'll be eating on grown up plates rather than paper plates for a change.

Hah! You can always hope that some back out at the last minute. But it will be worse if they bring an uninvited guest :lol-2:
 
Super frustrated right now

1. Waited at home for a delivery and fed ex did not ring the bell and left the dreaded missed delivery note so now who knows when I’m getting it. I won’t be able to stay home all am and afternoon tomorrow again

2. Finally got my internist to agree to RX an important medication for both Greg and me and now none of the USA pharmacies can get it. It’s time sensitive unfortunately

3. The finger I had N.A. on is re contracting. And since I’m doing radiation for both hands my surgeon wants to wait. He said this disease is so unpredictable. It’s disheartening

4. I am in an overall funk. Nothing is easy and it seems nothing is working out. At every twist and turn there are so many challenges. I’m very tired

Thanks for letting me vent. I couldn’t even find the grumpy thread where I initially thought to post this

Ugh @missy I am so sorry. Sometimes things are just so difficult. Never easy. Hoping you can get the meds and that your finger stops this contracting!! So frustrating and defeating.

Not to minimize at all, but at least you weren’t told to, “F**k off” by a 12 year old today as I was … :wall:
 
Some good news! Greg went to the fed ex place an hour away to get me the special delivery. ❤️
