Dress #4!

Hey Lucky! To be honest and frank, I think the previous thread with the others dresses were much much better in my opinion. I still think those other dresses were goooooogeous - these are pretty, but none of them scream "THIS IS IT" to me! Sorry, but I love the other ones, particularly that tierd/layered fabric Maggie Sottero (i think)

Dress #4.
It''s very slimming on you.

Dress 4 seems very suited to your body style. I like it.

And finally, dress number 2 from the old thread....still a contender.

I like old #2 or the new #4.

I''m happy you dare to be frank with me. HAHAHAHA.

Thank you for your opinion!!! I had an all around better experience at this place. They were actually on the phone with a Maggie rep when I called...they said they might be able to get me the other dress as well.

Dress 4, without a doubt!

I''m also loving #4 on you!! I think the bodice is verrrry flattering and I think it is the best one!! Granted, none of the other ones make me want to scream NOOOOOOOO...they are all very nice! I just think that #4 stands out!

Really? I''m surprised you guys are saying 4. It doesn''t really have a train, and I''m not in love with the boob area. It was one of my faves though. I really liked number 1 and 2 as well. Hmmmmm this is going to be hard!!

I still like #4. The old dress 2 is almost too busy with the patterned lace and the sash just doesn''t work IMO... Maybe without the sash? Dress #4 makes you look much slimmer also!

Of the ones you posted, I agree. But I also agree with Cleopatra that none of them seem to scream "ME! PICK ME!"

hmmm. What changes should I make in my dress searching to come up with better results? These gowns are all A-line/Strapless. Should I be looking for something different with my body type?

Dresses three and four. By FAR the most flattering. I'm torn between the two. I LOVE organza overskirts and dress four has it, which is just lovely. Plus the embroider accents are so feminine and not overdone at all, but the bust area does have a little fit issue. But I also REALLY love number 3... it looks so high end-- fabric looks like a silk mikado (I know it's probably not). That cumberbun is doing fabulous things for your figure, the fit is better, the interest and accents are higher up, and it looks lovely.

I think number 4 wins though depending on your veil. If you aren't planning a long veil or a veil at all... this one has a the nicer back and skirt trim at the hem.

But if you are wearing a lovely catherdal veil with embroidery to match the top of dress 4... then dress four would be fabulous, especially as I think it would bustle better than 3.

I still love the maggie #2 old too. That one looks like a vera to me. Very lovely and unique.

Some of these last few dresses, IMO, don''t have the "va-va-voom" feeling that I''m searching for in these pictures. I think these are all beautiful dresses and each one of these are probably "the one" for many many women out there, but your figure is sooo great that you could find a dress that really hugs your curves and just shouts "BAM! Here''s my wedding dress!" - - hehe....i know i''m cheesy

But I''d keep looking - some find THE dress after just a few tries - others, it takes several tries!

I find that thicker skin fills out a dress nicely....

Kidding, couldn't resist!

Body type looks great to me...but somehow these dresses don't do it. In this batch, I don't like what's going at the waist on a lot of them. Something more visually continous might be nicer. How tall are you Lucky? Have you thought of a more form fitting dress? Not sure if that would be more flattering or not, but it may be worth a shot .

ETA Cleopatra beat me to the punch. We need more bam.

I''m 5''4.

There''s this one from my last trip that I don''t think I posted because it had too much going on......???

mmmm.....yeah - i''d agree with you - too much going on. But I like the dress and the way it hugs your curves - I think this one can serve as guide to how less A shaped dresses can look on you - and I like it!

Here''s the thing....I hate MERMAIDS.
I don''t like the way they hug my thighs and how I can hardly walk in them. I am definitely not a Jessica Rabbit. I have curves, but I''m also chubby in the belly area.. lol. I know I definitely need something that gives me a waist because I''m one of those straight up and and down body types.

I love the new #2.

Too much going on and then some...

I think I don''t like these satiny dresses on you...although oftentimes the flash makes for an unflattering pic. That''s probably why I do like old dress #2. I don''t like some of these dresses because they make you look shortwaisted, which you don''t seem to be.
