LOL! Thanks SanDiegoLady! BF and I were trying to pick out cute "couple" names and somehow we came up with those. BF''s dad is a police officer so in a way, we did it in honor of him. The first time we took them to our vet, the whole staff literally came out to see them. I guess ever since I made the appointment, they were all curious and now everyone remembers them! The receptionist said we won the award for the most creative names. ^_~ Who knew that the kitties would actually live up to their names as well? They''re such little trouble makers!Date: 7/1/2009 2:30:11 AM

Brown Eyed Girl - I don''t post often, but wanted to let you know that you will be so happy that you decided to get two Bengal kittens! My husband and I got our two male littermates in March and they are so much fun! I am glad they have each other to burn off some of that Bengal energy. They are quite active and they really are unlike any other cats that I have had in my life. They are very ''dog like'' in their devotion - they follow us wherever we are in the house and they definitely like to be the center of attention. But when they are tired, they love to sleep in your lap and will do that for hours - gives us an excuse to lay around and watch tv!
You will be very happy that you decided to get two of them!

Brown Eyed Girl - you may regret asking about my Bengals because I can really ramble on about them! I had wanted one for years, but we had already had an older cat and he was the ''king of the house'' and we knew he wouldn''t do well with a kitten. We lost him in February and went from saying we couldn''t get another pet to realizing that the house was way too empty without a cat. We had always said we would get two so they could keep each other company when we are not at home.
An old friend of ours had gotten her two bengals from a breeder in Maryland (where we live) about three years ago. She had really done her legwork and was thrilled with her two boys. We tend to like male cats as they seem to be more laid back than the females that I had in the past so that''s why we decided on two brothers. We are so happy with our choice!
We first saw them when they were three weeks old and we visited them three more times before we picked them up. We got them at 10 weeks old on March 20th. They are very well socialized and the transition was very easy! We were worried they''d be upset on the 1 hour car ride home, but not a peep out of them. Our breeder recommended keeping them in one room for the first few days and that''s what we did. We kept them in a spare bedroom that I use as a workout room. It''s a good idea to keep them where they won''t hide under the bed or anything else. After the first week we gave them limited access to the open areas of our home. We have a very open floor plan so we just blocked off access to the bedrooms because they were very easy to ''lose'' if you didn''t keep an eye on them!
They are definitely very active! We try to keep them ''busy'' when we are home so they sleep through the night and that seems to be working. Sometimes they test your patience - they know what they''re doing is wrong and they look at you while they are doing it! But we have never had cats that are lap cats like these are. They are total love bugs! They bonded with us immediately and they are also very friendly when people come over - unlike our other cat who always hid when we had company!
I''ll admit that after we made our decision I started to get worried about the mayhem two kittens would cause, especially after having an older cat that was arthritic and laid around most of the day, but honestly they bring so much joy to our lives I can''t imagine not having ''the boys'' in our home!
I checked our your breeder''s website and it looks like some of the studs and queens are from the breeder we used - Junglemist in Port Deposit, Maryland.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I''ll try to post some pictures!

They are definitely smart! Although they haven''t learned how to open doors and kitchen cabinets yet! I know it''s only a matter of time for the doors since we have lever handle doors. We pretty much have to keep them out of our home office - they just get into everything! The door to the office is a french door and they stand on the other side and will cry and lean on the door until you come out! One of them is definitely the ''trouble maker.'' We always say he ruins it for his brother who will be lying in the sun on the office floor and the other one will be on the keyboard, touching the screen with his paws or nose, pulling stuff that''s tacked up on my husband''s desk, knocking the trashcan over and just generally getting into trouble!
My friend''s Bengals actually turned her cooktop on! She removed the knobs from the front so that doesn''t happen again. When we went to visit her one of her boys was pulling the heat register up from the floor. I''m just hoping ours end up being ''dumber'' than most Bengals!
It''s probably a good idea to get a brown rosetted and a snow rosetted - my husband still confuses the two of them! Their mother is a snow - she''s Winter Flurry on Junglemist''s site and their dad is Dark Daze (brown rosetted) who is now at the breeder''s daughter''s site which is Witchinghour Bengals. He''s really big! One of ours is already 8 lbs. and the other one is 7.5 lbs. Not quite six months old yet.
They do like water but not as much as we thought. We let them walk around in the shower after my husband gets out. They don''t mind the water on their feet and occasionally they play in the water bowl. We haven''t tried letting them in their while he is showering because we had an incident where they both slid into the tub when I was in there and it was not pretty! They freaked out and started sliding in the tub (it''s a large corner tub) and couldn''t get out quickly enough. When we got them out they were sliding on the marble floor and they were not happy - and neither were we!
I tried to post some pictures, but am having a hard time resizing. I tried for an hour - I know I should be embarrased to admit that! The photos are 3 MB and I think we must be using a different program than we had before because I cannot seem to edit and resize them.
Congratulations on finishing your paper!
