I've admired this Tiffany cushion pendant. Its a bit different yet simple. The Alhambra pendant would be gorgeous -- in white or rose. Have you looked at Ylang23? (And, yeah, I'll post the necklace soon. I had a cyst removed from my shoulder and right now all neck shots would look, um, wounded. Complete with gauze pad & tape. Stitches out tomorrow!)

I love that actually! It's like a more modern take on the round circle.

I like that too...it's much more me than a round circle diamond pendants. However...

it's on a 16 inch chain. I'm sure that could be changed though. I'll have to go check it out.

Deco posted the Kabana I found as well. I love the quality of their jewelry. It is much prettier in person I think. I also love
their heart pendants in rose gold. Just scrumptious.
There are a few Tacori's I like as well

The Tacori monogram can be ordered in whie, yellow or platinum and comes in different sizes. It feels substantial in weight and
has beautiful detailing. What I really love about this monogram is that you don't immediately realize it is a monogram, it just looks
like a interesting piece.

Re: If anyone would like to help me find a pendant - budget:

I'd be over at Alex Sepkus in a heartbeat - I love his work. It is pricey, though, so checking eBay ... this gorgeous thing actually comes in under budget. 8)

6 carat pink tourmaline for $2900, and it looks like a variant on this design, which goes for $7600. I know I'm a cheapo, but you can't beat that with a stick!

Re: If anyone would like to help me find a pendant - budget:

You def can get Tiffany necklaces in any length -- by paying for lengthening or shortening. They even lengthened a SILVER chain for my open heart pendant. My fat neck. Gah. I bet you could even have them put in a jump ring at 17", 18" & 19" for maximum flexibility.

Another look I've been digging lately (again) is toggle front clasps -- I'd love to get a toggle front necklace with a disc or pendant hanging from the toggle closure. Been casually looking around but haven't found the perfect one to show you yet. Maybe someone else has seen something like that. Its much more substantial than the Roberto Coin look -- more on par with the Carrera one you posted. Maybe Bulgari has something like that. Hmmmm.

Re: If anyone would like to help me find a pendant - budget:

OK, you guys are awesome. Thank you for ALL the suggestions!

Looks like I'll have to go into Tiffany's and take a look, although all these years on PS makes me cringe a bit at the thought. But if they have a design I love, I'd just go with the original. Like that cushion shaped pendant - I wouldn't bother getting something like that replicated because replicas usually have to be a little bit different, and I find myself detailed oriented enough that I probably wouldn't like those differences.

The Tacori pendants are really lovely. If I could buy two, I'd get something like that. I've always been drawn to the somewhat ornate, but resist because I'm such a plain jane. That monogram one is cool, but as a PSer, I have to admit the first thing I thought was, "Look at all those nooks and crannies that can get dirty!"

EB, I love all those that you posted...in fact, those were the ones I was drawn to on the Tif website. The first Gehry one is a bit bold, but it caught my attention as I thought it was look pretty cool on. The thing that I don't like about most of the Tif stuff I've seen is that A) it's on that pesky 16 inch chain) and B) most of the chains look very very delicate. I'm still going to take a look this Sat at Tiffanys though. And I LOVE that Calebmeyer pendant! Even if it were daintier, it's different without being over the top!

Deco, I am totally with you on the toggle front clasp. In fact, sometime a couple of years ago I was on a kick looking for something like that in silver, but couldn't find anything I love. Remember that liquidation site that everyone on PS was in a frenzy over? I got something through them, but it just looked didn't look right when I tried it on. Anyway, I hate it when the clasp comes to the front on a regular necklace which is one strike against the carrera necklace. I would prefer if the pendant wasn't connected through a jump ring.

Re: If anyone would like to help me find a pendant - budget:

No haven't seen the xmas one yet...I love blue, but am wanting something with no color. Although I really DO love blue! :Up_to_something:

Went to 23rd street jewelers today since I was in the area for lunch. There was a necklace almost identical to the Carl Blackburn one. Really pretty, but oddly, I didn't like all the bling on my neck! Could I really be a PSer? I may need to pay my dues here or something because I'm not feeling like a real PSer!

So I think I'll look for something with diamond accents if I want any diamonds at all. But filigree is definitely out. It looked way OTT with my t-shirt, jeans and flip flops.

Off to another jewelry store...................

Thanks MZ, I will peruse the site tonight...

Came back from another jeweler. Good news is that the salesperson was a GIA gemologist and a cutie. The bad news is that a chopard pendant looked amazing on me even though it was dainty and a 16 inch chain. Ugh.

It really is pretty but I did read you preferred no colour and a white metal. My bad.

Sydney Evan makes some really pretty disc pendants.

I know you don't want rosegold, but I thought I'd include one to give you an idea of her design esthetic.

The white gold pendant is listed above your price range but it is large and I believe she makes a small and medium version that might be more along with your budget.

ETA: Ok, I did some more looking and found the large disc in white gold for $2295. It comes with a 16 inch chain that can be extended for an additional charge.

Here it is in yellow gold for a visual:

Thanks CDN! One thing I realized about pendants/necklaces is that they have to be tried on for sure. I will look this over tonight!

Re: If anyone would like to help me find a pendant - budget:

I'd like to thank everyone very much again to take the time to hunt the net and give me ideas. I'm terrible at doing so, so I really appreciate that all of you have.

I think I've dismissed the chopard...the happy diamonds between 2 crystals is disconcerting to me...if it's not supposed to get wet, how am I supposed to put it in an ultrasonic? :rodent:

I have looked all all the links and will be going to some vendors who carry many of these lines. TGuy is taking care of Amelia on Saturday, so I'm going jewelry shopping! Will stop by all sorts of level of vendors...high end jewelers, nordstroms, neiman marcus, bloomies, and wherever else looks interesting. Another PSer mentioned a designer offline so I went to check out a local jeweler, and what I'm learning is that you definitely have to try pendants on...things look so different in pics and in person!

I do think the Carrera is still the front running but I am going to try a lot on this weekend so I'll keep you all posted. Many thanks again!!

Hi redrose...

I feel the same way about that carrera piece...I saw it for $999 and was debating. I thought it was nice, and then I thought, meh. And then, it reminded me of, er, testicles. After that, it was out for me.

Re: If anyone would like to help me find a pendant - budget:

My Marguette pendant is in that price range from BGD. Obviously, I'm a fan. LOL.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Kwiat-18k-w-g-Diamond-Pendant-Chain-Make-Offer-/200395213944?pt=Designer_Jewelry&hash=item2ea87c4c78 I'd best offer the guy. That pendant is lovely, I've seen it in person. Chain is only 16 inch though.

Leslie Greene has pendants that make me drool.

And I ADORE the Tiffany Garden Flower pendant with the rose cuts (it's a little over 3K though).

Re: If anyone would like to help me find a pendant - budget:

Tiffany Garden has three pendants I love in your price range. Flower with rose cuts small for 3K. Dragonfly for 3K. And Small Butterfly for 3k.

My favorites in that collection are 5K and 9K respectively (yikes!), but the collection as a whole is one of the most original and lovely I've seen from Tiffany in years.

Re: If anyone would like to help me find a pendant - budget:

How about this one? 28mm, inspired by beach stones. You can get it in 18k white, rose or yellow gold. $2k.
