I love how it glows! And, you know, the close up pictures make the butterflies look a bit like my beloved Cartier Inde Mysterieuse earrings. Glad you went with your first love. Its clean & fanciful. Bold but simple. Casual but special. Are those the earrings of your first love? The ones you superimposed onto your ears? How much were those things? Because I LOVED those earrings...didn't see them at Cartier though, as I wasn't looking for earrings.

Re: Amelia...I know. I have to rethink this. At first I thought I could give it to her when she graduates college. But then I thought...normally college grads are around 22! TWENTY TWO! I am not letting a 22 year old walk around with expensive jewelry on! Or at least, I'm not contributing to it. So she can have all my stuff at once when she gives me a grandchild (preferably AFTER she's 22...heck, 32!!!)

Sure...and I could feign one (bday at the end of the month) but really, something tickled my fancy and I bought it. It's nice I can do that because I don't spend much money on myself...as evidenced by the fact that several months ago I went to bloomingdale's and bought a pair of $150 shoes. Not insane, pricewise, but my credit card company DECLINED it because they thought it was fraud. Apparently going to the mall and buying shoes or clothes go against my usual patterns. Never mind that I can charge 10 times more than that for airline tix or hotel rooms without issue.

Yeah. Earrings of my dreams -- in theory -- I've never seen them in person or tried them on so, you know ... They come in white or pink gold & are just over 3K if I recall correctly.

You'll need a Brinks truck to wheel up to the hospital at her delivery, lady! (Hopefully!)

Yup, I loved those. And I could see after what you went through why sometimes it just works to pay for the original. It seems to simple in design, but so hard to replicate with modifications to perfection.

I think the pendant is substantial because it's a solid piece without any holes/openings. So it doesn't have the dainty look. Not saying that it's large. Does that make sense? I think it's gorgeous, and great for everyday.

Thanks again for the nice words y'all. I forgot to post a pic of the back, which I think is pretty in terms of the little detail (butterfly cut outs in the back), so I'll post an updated pic or two when I get the time.

Actually, I went to south coast plaza instead...I hate going up the 405 and avoid it if possible. But Beverly Hills would have been fun!
