Well....I suppose I will introduce myself since I''ve been lurking for awhile now.

How We Met: He lived on one of my friends (guy) floor their freshman year of college. We met at a small get together the first night I was at college (awww...)
Expected Engagement Date: Well, it ought to be soon. He told me that it would happen once we sold our house.....we sold it last week!
Anything else?: I really wish I would have found this site sooner when I was going through the awful part of waiting. Now I am just at the fun part where when people ask "So when are you two FINALLY going to get married?" I just look at him and the pressure goes to him! But anyway, this has been a great site to go through I have learned SO much!

We e-mail and chatted online which lead to phone calls and eventually him showing up at my dorm with a dozen roses. We were off and on for the first two years long distance. Going strong since June 2002. We did long distance for the first 3 years (*sigh) as I was finishing up University. Are now finally living together for the last 11 months.
Expected Engagement Date: soon?!!? We did some casual ring browsing about a month ago. We have talked timelines (more about when we''d like to get married - Fall 2007).
Anything else?: So happy to have stumbled on this website. Have really enjoyed reading all the wonderful advice.

Well I have been here a little while but never officially did the introduction, so here goes:

HOW WE MET: went to school together, yes that''s right, high school sweethearst! Starting "going out" in Year 11, went to uni together (studied different stuff) and here we are!

ANYTHING ELSE: we have a baby .... -> our little bugger of a puppy and his name is Busta! He is a ratbag and destroys everything, and jumps our 6 foot fence to try and eat the neighbours cat. But we still love him! (He was a stray dog that was hanging around Sam''s work, he was bony and timid and had fleas, now 10 months later he is quite comfortable and is sleeping in the bed with me while Sam is away! Thinks he owns the joint.)

Fast forward one year after that, I found him on Myspace and emailed to tell him how much I love his music. I see him at another remote a week later, and introduce myself again. We meet up at a coffee shop a week later. We hit it off. We had so much fun teasing the bass player. (We are both bass players). A month later we are dating regularly. We have been inseparable since.
ENGAGEMENT: If I had my way, it would be Christmas of this year. BUT.. realistically, Christmas 07 or 08

Anything to add?: I''m from Japan, and we just visited there a couple weeks ago. The picture is from the trip. One of our rooms had a private outside hot spring!!

We took separate paths, and in Oct. 2002, I got a message on my answering machine - he was in Chicago training for a new job. We met for dinner, and the rest is history. We dated long distance, Chicago to Pittsburgh from Oct. 2002 until June 2003. In June 2003, I moved to New Mexico, and we continued to date long distance. I moved to Pittsburgh just before Christmas 2005, and have been living here for ~8 months now - although we do NOT live together. It was one of my stipulations because I was pretty sure that we''d both go crazy seeing each other all day every day after having only seen each other once every month or two.

We''ve had multiple talks lately, and I''m just letting things simmer until after the New Year - once I''ve actually been living in Pittsburgh for a whole year.
