Is this band overpowering? Should I stick with my band with smaller stones?

I totally love the look of your set with the bigger band !!

Thanks, @Natylad. I am just worried it may take the focus away from the solitaire so I was hoping for a good balance. Helpful to hear what others think. Thank you.

I prefer the smaller band because I don't like how the one with larger stones sticks out farther on the sides. If I remember correctly you have a Valoria?? Personally I find one thin band too thin with my Valoria so I stack two. Somehow to my eye that appears more balanced and even though together the two bands are wider than a band with bigger stones would be, they don't compete with the solitaire. Just my opinion, but you really can't go wrong with any combo. Beautiful solitaire!!

Thanks, @decision_decisions! I think you may have hit the nail on the head about the bigger band sticking out farther on the side. I think that’s what is making me go bonkers thinking that it’s too large.

Mmm yes I like both better than one with a spacer.
I say you don’t have to decide. You going for flashy wear big. You want subtle go small.

want to make a statement wear both lol
Sound advice, @Niel :). Thanks!! But now, I’m trying to find something in between the 2 sizes and emailing with IDJ hahaha.

I, too, like the idea of a band that's in-between the two sizes. When I saw the first photo, I thought, Wow, just gorgeous, blingy without sacrificing elegance. But the second band does allow the solitaire to show off more.

@Dmndsr4evr11 I also have the Valoria…I really like the way both of the bands look with yours. The thin one looks more balanced but I also think it would need another band with it. The wider one looks more blingy..I would definitely wear them together. I like to wear mine with the Embrace band which is smaller than my eternity.

@MamaBee - of course! You were my inspiration for getting the Valoria:). Love the embrace with your icy white, winter! It looks very proportioned. You have a larger solitaire though. How many points in each of your embrace band and is that a 7 stone band? I think mine would have looked more balanced if it only had 7 stones instead of 9.

Love it. I think the larger 9 stone band looks better with the e-ring than the smaller band.

Sorry! I love them both. They’re different looks for different moods.

+1 to this. They both look lovely. What about getting a faux tester band in the "in between" width you are considering?

Since you already have two mrb bands, would you consider a different cut band-like a baguette band, for instance? That way you will have a 3rd look. Also, a baguette band would look cool stacked between your current two mrb bands

Here's an example of the baguette band I'm envisioning...

@Dmndsr4evr11 It is a seven stone..It was originally a sapphire and diamond band but the sapphires got very abraded. I replaced them with diamonds. I would say the diamonds are .10-.12 each. I can’t remember what size they are now but that’s pretty close.

@Dmndsr4evr11 I wanted to edit the above post but it was too late. Your diamond looks larger than mine because your finger is thinner than mine. I think it looks huge on yours..It’s gorgeous!

I like the larger band with the ring, but I think the ideal size might be 8-10 point stones. The smaller band looks too small to me.

Thanks, @lulu_ma! I’ve thought about baguettes or a mix of marquise and rounds. But I’m just a sucker for sparkles that I wouldn’t get with baguettes so I am just going for rounds again! I may just sell the other 2 bands.

@diamondseeker2006 - I agree. When I got the smaller band from WF a couple of years ago, I thought it would be bigger but too lazy to return it. IDJ will make a band with 24 stones 5 points each. I think that should be good. My bigger band has 11 point stones and I feel they’re a little too big. Maybe if I had a 3 ct stone like @MamaBee :) , the 11 points would look more proportional.

Thank you.

Well, I hope you at least keep the bigger one-for when you are in a blingier mood
