Yay for a great ultrasound!! How many u/s''s have you had/will you have with your RE?

*********

So, I had my first u/s today! HB is 140! 6 weeks and 2 days, based on LMP. My RE said that was very good.
1.gif
It was a tiny, tiny little flicker, that I could barely see on my little monitor. He said it will be more pronounced next time we look. I get to go back next week! I''m so excited for that! Oh, and yesterday, my HCG was 15,125.
9.gif
I''m glad I was able to get those results the day before the u/s, but I was still so anxious just before the u/s.

All is good!

P.S. There was only one!
LV, How EXCITING! I am so happy to hear that all is well with the little one
9.gif
. I was also curious about the twin factor, but now you know
2.gif
. It''s great to hear that all is well and I wish you a happy and healthy 8 months!

yay Lanie and LV! I love the positive vibe going on in this thread.

Lanie - I also don''t understand this due date thing. I was measuring 4 days ahead, and they didn''t change my due date because they said it''s not enough difference. seems like every doctor likes to work according to their own calculation. but like you said, it will come whenever it well pleases. can''t wait to see your belly pic. mine''s got way too much belly fat in the way to probably show anything for a while.

WTH? I posted a nice long post yesterday morning on PSv2, and now it's GONE!!!

Oh, well.

HUGE congrats to HOU!!!! That's such wonderful news!!!!!!!!!

Ice - wow! 11.5 weeks already!!! Woo Hoo! And I'm glad to hear your MS is a touch better :)

Lanie! Glad to hear your u/s went well!
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
12/24 is a little scary, though!!!! I'm with Noel - I've got a little too much belly fat to show a pooch
40.gif
Yeah - those ONE pair of jeans that fit me nicely??? Uh, DH and I came home from Target the other day, and DH goes "You've got a hole in your pants!" There was a nice quarter-sized hole where one of the back pocket seams was
6.gif
. I just pray it happened getting into the car for the ride home, and I wasn't walking around ALL day running errands in holy pants.

LV! COngrats on your first U/S too!!!
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
I'm happy for you that you get to go for another one next week!!!! SO exciting!!!

Kunzite - I hope you're feeling well!!!

So I just ordered "My Boys Can Swim" from Amazon for DH, along with a preggo journal for myself. I'm sure he'll like it. You can 'peek inside' at amazon, if anyone else is interested.

As for me, 9.5 weeks and chugging along. No m/s, but just tired a lot. BBs hurt too. MIL is the biggest pain I have
20.gif
. We told her we were gonna have everyone find out the gender together at the baby shower, and she's 'upset and disappointed'. She sent me a Mother's Day card (nice of her), but actually wrote on the inside "please let us know to do pink or blue". I mean, who DOES that?!?

Okay, rant over
9.gif
It feels good to type it out!

I hope you're all doing well!!! And I hope this post doesn't get eaten too!

Lynnie--that''s so funny about your holy pants! And I can''t believe your MIL is upset about your idea to find out together!!! I hate how it''s your baby yet people feel they have input on finding out the sex, gender, breast feeding, you name it. Ugh. I thought the unnecessary input with our wedding would be the end of it. Guess I was wrong. What does your DH say about it? I''m assuming your MIL is giving the shower, otherwise why would she care???

Lynnie - That is hysterical about your pants!! That sounds like something I would do. Haha.

So, is everyone already aware that there is a risk associated with BPA in canned goods? http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2010-05-19-cans19_ST_N.htm DH brought this to my attention last night. Kind of a big shock to me! I had no idea. So, I am done with canned products now -- for me this would be, canned tomatoes, canned beans (we'll use dry from now on), canned seltzer that I used to have at least one a day in my beloved seltzer and cranberry juice combo. Uggh. Apparently, the big plastic water bottles in typical workplace water coolers also have BPA, but perhaps not as much because of the lack of acidity, but I am still afraid to drink it. I'm going to bring water in from home, which is from a well. The tap water at work tastes like metal, so I avoid that too, always have.

I hope I'm not overreacting. I feel like I may be crazy-newly-pregnant-lady . . . . Has anyone's doctor told them to avoid canned goods?

I didn't know that about canned stuff. I was told only not to have too much vitamin A. we never eat canned food, so that's not a problem. I actually usually also never drink canned drinks, but the apple juice at work comes out of a can and that is the only thing I can stomach to drink at the office (it would be really unhealthy to drink hot chocolate all day and their orange juice tastes gross). so I'm just going to take my chances or else I'll be throwing up all day. I expect in the 2nd trimester I will be able to drink the stuff I used to like again.

my mother also seems to be only interested in the sex of the baby. must be a grandma thing.

Hello friends!

I am at home sick today....was supposed to be on call last night but at about 9pm I had to throw in the towel, call in backup coverage, and go home. What started as a sore scratchy throat alone quickly progressed yesterday to a whopping head/chest cold. Soooo much snot, coughing, head pain/pressure....ugh. So I''m taking it easy at home today, browsing maternity clothes online and wondering if it''s too soon to buy a few pieces.
5.gif
Old Navy has some cute looking stuff for really cheap prices!

Steal - thank you so much!! I appreciate the well wishes.
9.gif

Lanie - congrats on an awesome ultrasound!!!

36.gif
Soooo exciting that you''re getting a little bump!! I can''t wait to have a bump!! hehe!

LV - and congrats on YOUR awesome ultrasound!! It must feel soo good to have seen a nice fast little heartbeat.
9.gif

Lynnie - thank you so much!!! :) DH and I are super happy and excited! LMAO at your MIL.....wow. I *guess* it''s somewhat reasonable if she''s hosting the shower and wants to know what colors to use, but actually, why can''t she just use all baby colors (pink, blue, yellow, green, whatever!) and respect your wishes to tell everyone at the shower! Seriously!

I''m offically 4 weeks today!! Woohoo!!

Oh, btw, did I ever show you guys this test?? It''s my favorite one...it was 11 dpo :)

IMG_9138.JPG

LV, I heard that about cans. I'm cutting out any canned foods/drinks for now. There's so much we can't do now, it's crazy. I am worrying myself sick over all the albacore tuna and fish I ate before I found out I was pregnant. Albacore tuna is higher in mercury and it's on the 'eat sparingly' list. Well I was eating 3 sandwiches per WEEK right before I conceived, and in the first week of pregnancy. I am worried sick about my mercury levels.

Laila - Oh, try not to worry about the fish! I'm sure whatever you ate has moderated itself by now. It doesn't sound like it was a lot. I have to say, I am really surprised that this BPA issue is not on more websites. When you refer to the "eat sparingly" list, are you using a specific source for your information? I've sort of been avoiding too much information and trying to take it easy. I just looked at the Mayo Clinic site and had looked at the March of Dimes site previously, and neither mentions anything about the BPA.
40.gif
The good news is that our CSA starts soon. Nothing sounds better than eating whole foods straight from the farm right now.

HMG - That's a beautiful test!!! I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Get lots and lots of rest and feel better soon!

Noel - I wonder if standards may be different in Holland for canned goods? BPA seems to be in everything here. I just don't know how it is that I didn't know about it . . . at all . . . aside from Nalgene plastic bottles and the like!

Hi, LV! I've mainly been reading www.americanpregnancy.org for all my info. On the left side the site, there is a link that says 'Is it safe'. I don't even think they mention anything about BPA though. Luckily, a lot of infant and kid stuff is BPA free.

Hou - that''s a beautiful test photo. I love those kind. I''m glad you are getting rest and hope you get better soon. I have been sick 3x during this pregnancy. 1st time was a cough during ovulation (don''t know if that counts), then a cold in the a 5th week and now a cough again. I guess these hormones help wear us down.

LV - I doubt we have different canned good standards as we do import stuff. hey, maybe that''s why we can''t get American food here.
2.gif
I''m just kidding.

have a great weekend everyone. it''s a long weekend for us and we''re finally having some warmer weather.

Things are going so well in this thread, I''ve been horrible at keeping up!

I''m due Dec 30 (but didn''t test positive until I was a week and a half late...so this may change?) I''ve seen the nurse, started a file, drawn blood at 6.5 weeks, and saw the OB at 7.5 weeks for my annual exam, including an internal exam where he said my uterus feels the right size for the timeline.

But, I have to wait until I''m 11.5 weeks for an ultrasound (to date) and hear the heartbeat. Apparantly that''s standard practice. Am I the only one that feels like that is FOREVER??? I think it will take until then for this pregnancy to feel REAL and know that everything is okay.

Anybody else having to wait it out?

Hey plantation! I was wondering where you were!

I think it''s standard practice, like the office said. The only reason why I got to go in so early was bc I was seeing an RE at the time, and I guess I''m considered "high risk", so that''s why they do it? Laila and LV were seeing RE''s as well, so that could be the same with them. My friends'' doctors usually tell them 10 weeks before they can be seen. It might also have to do with your insurance, because if you went in at 7.5 weeks, they totally could have done an u/s (if it was necessary/included in your insurance) and you would have seen something. I don''t know how insurance works, but I can understand how you''d want to get seen sooner!

How are you feeling?

LV - thank you! I took a 4 hr nap yesterday and slept good last night, so I''m feeling at least a bit better today. This was one whopper of a cold!

Noel - thank you!! I *heart* digis (when they tell me what I want to see, that is!). Wow, you''ve been sick a lot too...yeah, I guess it''s another one of the lovely side effects of pregnancy. But I''ll take ''em....I''ll take ''em all!! Wouldn''t trade feeling perfectly well for the little bean in my tummy. Nope, never.
9.gif
Enjoy the warmer weather!! It''s just plain HOT down here...high today of 92 and SOOOO humid.

Plantation - with my 1st pregnancy, the doc said my 1st appointment needed to be between 7-10 weeks. I ended up going in just after 7 weeks and she did a quick ultrasound in the exam room, but I could have easily had to wait till close to 10 weeks. This time around I think it''ll be just as soon or sooner, since I had a loss before (i.e. she''s already following weekly blood levels). I don''t think it''s unreasonable or uncommon practice to have the 1st ultrasound close to 12 weeks in a 1st, uncomplicated pregnancy. I agree that it will feel like forever, though!! Did you ask about the possibility of having one earlier? I''m almost scared to go in too early because if we see a gestational sac but no baby yet, or a teeny baby but no heartbeat yet, I know I''ll be worried sick until the next scan, just because of my experience last time.

HOU -- sorry to hear you are sick. I read about that a lot...I think our immune systems are weakened? You''re the doc so you would know more, but I think that''s what I heard. Anyway, if you don''t mind me asking, how far along were you with your m/c? Hope you feel better soon! I like your attitude about feeling sick if it''s in exchange for a healthy baby!

wow, I had a little bit of a scare this morning. I didn''t wake up feeling morning sickness and didn''t feel it the whole time getting ready for work. and I know I should be happy for the relief, but believe me I''d rather have the m/s really bad 9 months in a row than another m/c. but luckily it came on strong again before lunch. even the apple juice wasn''t working and I was gagging just now when I got home because of too much saliva. phew.

plantationcatt - like others, I got to have an early u/s because of the previous m/c. now even though I had one at 7 weeks, I am starting to get antsy about my next one in 2 weeks. if I hadn''t been able to schedule one with medical referral, I would have just gone to a private office and paid for it myself. so that is also an option for you if the waiting is killing you.

Noel! So glad your ms came back!!!! YAY FOR MS! Isn't it funny how we cheer those symptoms now? HUGS... so happy for you!!!!

Lynnie! Oh, your little tummy must be so cute!!!!! LOL about the holey pants! Your MIL is hilarious! At least she isn't subtle! But yeah, she is one pushy lady! Are you going to cave and tell her the color? Oh, 10 weeks or so for you now! So wonderful!

Lanie! How are you doing? Thinking of you!!!!

Loves Vintage! My TTC sister! Thanks for the BPA article! Yes, I try not to drink the water from my office because it comes in those BPA coolers. I buy water on my way in but that is such a PITA. There is so much we can't eat or drink. I don't think you're overreacting. BPA is banned in parts of Europe, I believe.

HOU!!! Glad you're feeling better! Ohhhh, your Wondfo progression shot is beautiful! LOL - I was cracking up when you prefaced it by writing a warning about POAS addiction...because wait until you see MY Wondfo collection! I'll post it in all its glory so you will feel normal in comparison! I've stopped, though! (I ran out!)

Laila, hi!!!! I wouldn't worry about the fish you've already eaten. I think it's OK since it was so early on... (hugs) Thanks for the American Pregnancy link!

Plantationcatt, hang in there! Yes, 11.5 weeks seems like a long time. But I often wish I had waited last time before all of those ultrasounds. I feel like they created a ton of stress where it wasn't necessary. I wonder if they could sneak you in earlier just to take a peek? On the other hand, what a relief that everything checked out great for your 7.5 week exam! Don't worry! Your peanut is happy and growing! You will get to say hi soon!

On my end, I have NO symptoms other than sore BBs and fleeting nausea at night. I am very curious about where the bloat is, because I had it so early on with my last pregnancy. And this time, my tummy is very flat..even concave, so that kind of freaks me out. I want a swollen tummy, darn it! And I have no appetite, which is weird for me. I love food and am a good eater. What a strange pregnancy! It doesn't seem real yet and today I was wondering if there was even a baby in there! Oh, does the worry ever end? I can't wait for my next ultrasound and am trying to be patient about it. I just wish I could know sooner than later how everything is progressing. It's frightening after a loss and with totally different symptoms this time... I am a nervous Nelly!

Super hugs and dust for sticky beans!!!!!!

noel -- same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I swear my boobs were less sore, and I wasn''t feeling nauseous at all (I have to look up that word every time I spell it...I''m okay with nausea and nauseated, but not nauseous!). It scared the pee out of me, but it came back later that day, just like you. Apparently it can come and go. I even googled "morning sickness ending at 8 weeks" and of course felt like an idiot. Glad (kind of!) that yours came back!

OK I''m trying to post my "belly" pic...it might take me awhile bc it''s from my Iphone.

Let''s see if it works. It may not look like much, but trust me, I notice it! So excited!

I see it, I see it Lanie! You look great!

So tiny and trim, with just a lil' belly.

I need to upload my pic, in certain outfits I could pass for 16 weeks pregnant! Major baby bloat! Yikes.

Bliss and LV, thanks for the reassurance about the fish.

Hey ladies!! I was hoping I could join you all
35.gif
I''m currently 7 weeks preggo w baby #2
36.gif

I had a chemical a few months back so I''m on eggshells w/ this pregnancy. I have my 1st appt this afternoon and I''m hoping they''ll schedule a u/s sometime next week just to confirm a HB.

Bliss - I can totally relate to the difference in pregnancies. W/ my 1st I had HORRIBLE 24/7 nausea and was seriously bloated at this point. This time around I have waves of nausea here and there, but no where near like last time and I''m not as bloated this time either. I''m trying not to compare and get myself all freaked out, but it''s HARD!

Lanie - Your "belly" is so cute!

cdt!!!! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS, mama!!! Sooooo happy for you!!

36.gif

I hope you get to see a HB sooooooon!!!

Laila, I wanna see your pic!! I love bellies! hehe!!

Lanie, you look sooooo fantastic! I totally see your tiny bump...sooo cute!!!

Thanks for sharing! Yup, you''re right, pregnancy is definitely an immunocompromised state, so I''m not surprised given all the sick kids I''ve been around lately. I don''t mind you asking at all...I was about 9 weeks by dates at the time of my D&C, but we knew something was wrong from our first appt at 7 weeks 2 days. At that appt, US showed baby measuring 6w2d with a HB in the low 100''s. One week later, at 8 weeks 2 days, baby was still measuring 6w2d (no growth at all) and HB was in the 80''s. A little less than a week later, the HB was gone, and I had my D&C soon thereafter because I never started cramping or bleeding on my own. I guess that''s a good sign that my body wanted to stay pregnant, at least I like to think it was a good sign. :) So basically, I was 9 weeks by dates but baby never got bigger than 6 weeks or so.

Bliss - why thank you, my dear! I''m pretty proud of my Wondfos.
9.gif
I wanna see all yours too!!

Noel, glad you''re feeling icky again. Hehe. It''s so weird to say that to someone! Seriously though, it''s hard not to obsess about every little symptom or lack thereof.

-------------------------------------------------------

I''m not really having much in the way of symptoms yet, aside from my super-cold. BB''s are just starting to be tender, but are definitely a bit bigger (I wonder if they don''t get tender as early the 2nd time since they''ve already stretched and grown once....???), no nausea yet, no bloat yet. DEFINITELY exhausted most of the time, though. I''m prepared for the MS to start...I ordered a bunch of Ginger Chews and GinGin drops online and they''re at the ready!

Gotta go run some errands...just for fun, here''s my 4 week belly pic from yesterday! hehe. Yes, I already have a pooch to start with, none of that is baby or even bloat yet.
9.gif

4 weeks A - Copy.JPG

HOU -- yay for BPF! Pretty soon yours will be full of a little healthy bebe! Good idea on ordering ginger chews online...everyone talks about Trader Joe''s on here, and I guess we''re deprived of it here in H town. I thought it was a later m/c, but that explains it if there was no growth after 6 weeks. I remember you being in limbo for a couple of weeks. Gosh. I''m so glad you are pregnant now and that the final piece to grieving is here.

Laila -- thanks! Now it''s your turn to post a pic!

cdt -- what a cute bebe! Congrats on number 2! How far apart will they be? I remember seeing your baby''s picture on here while back and thinking to myself that''s why my baby will look like. Yours kind of favors what my DH looked like when he was a little baby. Heeeeeyyyyy.....yikes. As I type that, it''s creepy. Hope you don''t live in Houston! Hahaha! Jk

Bliss -- your turn too!

Thanks you guys! It came out small, but I don''t want to repost. I''ll do another one in a week!

Thanks HOU!! Congrats to you too!! Our due dates should be really close.

Lanie - no not creepy...hehehe...and I'm on the east coast so no worries
9.gif
My babies will be 19 months apart
4.gif
But honestly my DH and I had such baby fever we didn't care that they would be close in age.

Appt went well, and I have a u/s scheduled for monday morning...can't wait! Just hope it's good news. So far though everything looks good according to my DR. Assuming the u/s doesn't date differently, my due date is 01-06-11.

Hi fellow mammas!!!!!

Re: my MIL... The crazy thing is is that I don't think she's gonna be hosting a shower!! She's just rude! She's always been very blunt regarding just about EVERYTHING. DH tells her she's rude, and her reply is usually, "Well, if you can't take criticism... blah, blah, blah".
38.gif
hehe... she's even said "Way to put me in the poorhouse", because SIL (DH's brother's FI) is due a month before me!!! I've been with DH for almost 11 years, so none of this is exactly a surprise to me. We get along fine, I just don't let the things she says get to me... The other day DH's sister asked me if she can help me decorate the baby's room. I said sure, no prob. It'd be fun (and I meant it!). MIL got all up in arms, and yelled at her for intruding!!! Ugh. I just don't understand her sometimes (well, most times!). We're still sticking to our plan - have them write down the gender, stick it in an envelope, and have the bakery make the inside of the cake blue or pink, and everyone will find out at the baby shower together. Unless I cave and sneak a look in the envelope... I'm going to try to be strong, though!

PC - I'm soooo with you!!! I had my 1st appt at 7.5 weeks, where they drew blood and did an internal (my uterus felt 'right' too). My next appt isn't til June 1st, at 11 weeks!! I don't even think I'll get a u/s then, just hear the HB (FINALLY). I have a U/S appt June 16th, at 13.5 weeks! It does seem like FOREVER! I'm so happy for all the girls here who've heard HBs and seen U/S's so early, but I have to admit, I'm a little jealous (I mean that in the nicest way possible)!!!!

LANIE!!! Beautiful belly!!! I see it, too!! I have to invest in some lounge pants - I'm typically a huge jeans gal, and they're just not fitting right anymore! Even my 'big' jeans are barely buttoning!

Oh, Bliss... try not to worry about no symptoms!!! I've basically had none besides sore bbs and feeling exausted!! And here I am at almost 10 weeks! I understand it's scary after a m/c, though... but all pregnancies are different!!! My girlfriend (the one that just had a baby) had NO symptoms with her first, and a TON of m/s with her 2nd... and the 1st was a boy, the 2nd was a girl! Patience is definitely a virtue, and it's so hard to keep patient, I know. I'm still down 3 lbs since my first appt! I weigh 144 now (I had gotten down to 135 for my wedding last year, but gained 10 lbs back
20.gif
), and normally I'd be thrilled, but this is the time you're supposed to GAIN, yanno?? Lots of sticky dust to you!!!!!!!! and hugs!!!!!!

Laila... looking forward to your belly pic too!!! LOL @ 16 weeks preggo!! Sometimes I feel that way too!!!

Noel... Glad to hear you're m/s is better (although scary)... Sometimes I wish I had m/s!! I do 'check' my bb's to make sure they still hurt, though!!! (not in public
9.gif
)

cdt!!! Welcome and congratulations!!!!! My brother and I are 16mths apart, and we've always been super close. I always wanted my kids to be close in age, too! 1/6!!!! I'm partial to Capricorns (DH is one)! Glad to hear your 1st appt went well!

HOU! Cute pic!!!
36.gif
I wish I'd have started taking pics very early on!! I just got all my amazon stuff in the mail... I bought this book called "The Belly Book". It's like a photo journal for pregnancy! I love it! But I missed out on a bunch of belly pics already... ah, well.

I am just so TIRED of being so TIRED all the time!!!! It doesn't help that I work 12 hr night shifts either!! Ugh. So I sleep for a good 5 hours or so, then I wake up having to pee and eat, then I can't go back to sleep right away!!! It's an awful cycle. It's fine when I'm home, and can take a nap, but it's terrible at work. I hope this exaustion lets up after the first tri like it's supposed to!!! Hou - Are you still on call? I don't know how you guys do it!

I am starting to look at all things baby online.... I think we'll do a Winnie the Pooh theme for the nursery
5.gif

Oh, Lanie... A while back, someone started a thread for everyone to 'make their own babies'.... the website is : http://www.makemebabies.com/
It'll be interesting to see if our baby comes out anything like the one the website generated!! Good for a laugh, if anything (Haven's baby came out especially interesting looking). I wish the search function were working, so I could post a linky to the PS thread!

ETA: The search function worked, here is the link (both me and noel posted our 'babies') The rest of you should make babies!!!!
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/jff-what-would-you-kid-look-like-if-you-had-one.133820/

Laila, I know you don't look 16 weeks pregnant! But how nice to have a lil' belly! I would LOVE a lil' belly right now!!!!! I cannot WAIT to get a little watermelon tummy! They are soooo cute!

cdt1101!!! Your baby is G O R G E O U S!!!!! Such sweet eyes! Just gorgeous and you can see the good nature of your baby radiating from the photo. So cute. Oh, I am so sorry about the chemical pregnancy. That is so devastating. Sticky bean dust to you! It will be fine! You've come so far with this pregnancy! Thank you so much for the reassurance! I really hope I have a pregnancy like yours. Yes, it is hard not to get freaked out! We'll be here for each other and soothe each others' nerves. Oh, YAY for Monday's u/s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dust dust dust!!!! Everything will be fine, you'll see!

HOU HOU HOU! You look AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can barely see a teeny tiny belly bumparino there! Sooooo cute!!!!! Oh, I have to show you my CRAZY Wondfo collection! You will fall on your butt laughing! Mine makes yours look like child's play! LOLOLOL
31.gif
Oh HOU, I hope you feel better soon. I agree with the BBs not hurting as much because they've already done the breaking the sound barrier thing in our last pregnancy. The weird thing is, I recently noticed that my nips are changing! I can see the tiny indention/hole where the milk would come out! It's so Sci Fi! I tried to freak DH out with them but it didn't work. To me, they looked like spaceship trap doors about to open - you know in the Sci Fi movies where there's all this smoke and the alien boards the ship? Totally freaky in a cool way.

Lanie! Great advice with the ginger chews. I love the ones with peanut butter. I just ordered 5 tins of Preggy Pop drops. Sour tangerine, lemon, apple and raspberry! They didn't work for me in my last pregnancy but they REALLY work this time. Maybe it's just the sour flavor, because they're just candy.

Lynnie, your MIL sounds like a trip! But on the upside, your plan is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for the reassurance, Lynnie!!!! I almost wish I had awful symptoms because in a way, I'd feel better! Crazy, isn't it?

Being tired is the worst, isn't it???

**************
On our end, DH is being very funny. When we walk down the street and see a stroller, he'll peer inside to look at the babies! On the other hand, I am feeling SO emotional lately! I weep over sappy commercials, I'll be irritated with DH for *no* reason at all (why???!) and I get SO mad at smokers! I used to be the weird NYer who walks around smiling all the time while everyone else walks around scowling. Now I'm scowling! At the smokers! They are everywhere! Blowing gross smoke at you when you walk out of a building (because they hang out beside the door for some reason), standing in line at Shake Shack blowing toxic chemicals into your personal space, making elevators reek with all the tiny carcinogenic particles that lodge themselves in your lungs...UGH. SMOKERS!
29.gif
GAH! They seem to have no problem blowing huge clouds of smoke right into people who are walking down the street. So you walk into the thick nasty smoke clouds. OK, I get that you don't care about your body...but do I have to inhale the cancer causing smoke as well? People wouldn't like it if I walked around with a can of cancer causing chemicals and sprayed them all around public areas and in people's faces... what makes smokers think they can do the same thing? Ugh, maybe I'm just overreacting but you cannot walk down a block in NYC without inhaling a ton of secondhand smoke.

I can see the tiny indention/hole where the milk would come out!

what?!? I thought there were supposed to be multiple and I didn''t know they were visible.

I actually got the opposite. BBs are way more sore this time around, but I don''t think they''ve grown. I''ve got really dry skin between bbs and armpits. wonder if that''s from stretching or just having dry skin.

Lanie - you are so beautifully skinny (just want to emphasize I don''t mean skinny in a bad way). you are going to look fabulous with a baby bump. I will not scare everyone here by posting a photo of the tire I have resting on my hips. this week I hadn''t had a bowel movement for a while so I was already looking 6 MONTHS pregnant.

cdt1101 - welcome! glad your appt went well. hope you will share your u/s pic on Monday.

I am so excited that I finally have time to catch up with my favorite cute-belly sporting preggos!

Makes my Saturday morning.

Lanie- YAY for your awesome ultrasound. Seeing the the baby MOVE must be so surreal. A real little person

So precious.

Lynnie- Your MIL sounds a little nutty (of course, so is mine!) I really think your idea about finding out the sex is sweet and super fun. We''re contemplating doing something similar, but hubby and I would have the info already
2.gif
Seems like it should insert a little excitement into the shower AND prevent getting too many pink or blue clothes as gifts.

LV- I''ve been trying to avoid the BPA stuff too, but I have been soo limited with what my body will tolerate eating that I''ve continued making this super bland "tomato soup" with the canned tomatoes. Sigh, I''ll have to try making it with fresh tomatoes! Hopefully my food aversions will start leaving soon along with my morning sickness!

HMG- So sorry you''re sick! I don''t think I can imagine too many things worse than being pregnant with a cold and stuck at the hospital all night
14.gif
No illness over here thus far, but in general my immune system is fabulous so hopefully my body will continue to tolerate the babe but not the nasty germs. Get better asap!! abd 4 weeks

It''s insane how early we find out, isn''t it??

Laila- Try not to worry about the tuna early one! It is probably wise not to eat that much NOW, but it''s unlikely you did any damage especially so early when you were not sharing any blood with the kiddo.

plantationcatt- Sorry about the long wait for the ultrasound! It really is nice to be able to get that early assurance. I did not have to wait that long, fortunately. It sounds like everything is looking great for you, though.

cdt- Congrats on number two! I can certainly see in your avatar over there why you had baby fever again already

Bliss- Well, I know it is kind of stressful to have no symptoms! Boo. Despite how crappy I have felt, I would definitely freak if everything just left all of the sudden. Here''s to hoping your very mild morning sickness continues, so you can eat well and still not worry. Ohhhhh and I am so with you on the smokers! Could not stand it before, and hate hate hate it now. Just another smell that makes me gag! Not to mention the fact that I have no need to breath those nasty fumes.

as for me..... 12 weeks today!!

Holy crap, that is getting to "I really am pregnant" land. Supposedly our baby is 2.5 inches now, which sounds kind of huge and still tiny.

My mom is so adorable; she loves horses and Winnie the Pooh (my little brother''s fav) and she sent us a couple baby toys already because she "could not resist." This baby is definitely going to be loved! I think that is my favorite part of being pregnant, so far. The amount of love our families have for this little person whom they have never met is amazing and sweet. It makes my hormonal butt all teary...

The morning sickness is verrry slowly abating. It is still usually pretty awful in the afternoon/evenings, unfortunately. And still my food aversions are strong. But I really want to be able to eat my more healthy normal diet SOON. Come on, body!

And here is my first official belly shot at 12 weeks! Note my super huge boobs........ hahaha. Seriously, it is only noticeable to my husband and me but they really ARE bigger

Think I am up about a pound now, but that is probably just nasty bloat.

Noelwr!!!! LOL... You're so right. There are multiple milk glands! For some reason, I thought they were all concentrated in the center of the nipples in a sort of tiny indention? Wow, the things I don't know yet!
26.gif
Hormones are doing all sorts of weird things to my BBs!

Icekid!!!! You're lucky to have such a fab immune system! Tomato soup sounds yummy, btw. Oh, and CONGRATS on 12 weeks! How exciting!
36.gif
I love Winnie the Pooh! Your mom is too sweet. Your peanut is going to grow up in a sea of love! Yay, and you're almost at the end of your first tri!!!! OH! And you look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your teeny tiny bump! Although, you are so fit - I can hardly see it! All of you are so cute and fit, I can barely see these mini bumps!

Hope all of you pretty mamas are doing well! Have a fabulous weekend with your beans and DHs!!!!
