Oh I remember this thread and I love it! When I was a complete newbie here I found it and spent such a long time going through it, recognizing some names already and smiling at everyone's photos. Love it!

Apparently I look like Bjork the Icelandic singer. I don't actually think I look like Bjork BTW but in my mid 20s to early 30s I used to get mobbed because people thought I was Bjork. And NO I am not making this up. She toured Australia and I was out in Sydney at the time and people would ask me for autographs. I went to a few places in Asia on a holiday, I got mobbed in a hotel lift, coming out of a hotel lift, out shopping and dining, asked for autographs because people thought I was Bjork. I actually don't think I look like her other than I am short and part Asian, she is Icelandic....

Sure my father is half Scottish and half English he was born in England. My mother is Chinese, Australian born. My grandmother was actually born in Australia too, she is Chinese and 91. Its funny because people assume the Asian side are the immigrants the English side are, the Asian side has been in Australia since the gold rushes. There is a tiny part Australian Aboriginal in there as well. My husband is half English and half German so my son is an even crazier mix!!!

So many happas up in here! I'm half Taiwanese, half Italian. But I won't share a pic for the same reasons as momhappy. The public Internet be scary! Tie in that we post about a lot of personal info plus our $$$$$ purchases.. I kinda feel like posting a photo of our face is really asking for trouble!

It was our Charter School system teacher of the yearawards. I was the winner from the Middle school There was a cash prize and a Waterford lighthouse. I had to give a speech
