Thanks so much everyone! I can't wait to wear it this summer. I took some more photos today. I was trying to catch some sparkle, as it was sunny, but I got home from work a little too late. I'm going to break out the good camera this weekend; these are just pitiful little phone snaps by a proud new owner lol. I'm not sure what kind of pave Leon used. It's the Adrianna 811, I always loved that style.

The lighting is not great but it shows a decent representation of diamond colors - D, H, N and fancy yellow. The old mine cut ring is from JbG.
 
Absolutely breathtaking. He really brought the yellow color to maximum power! Congrats on your lovely ring!!
 
I don't know how I missed this it's stunning! That's a beautifully cut cushion. Everyone should wish their brilliant cut cushion was so we'll cut! You're really giving me yellow diamond lust
 
Thank you for the nice comments everyone. I'm really enjoying this ring, I had been craving a yellow diamond for a long time. Leon did say that the stone was cut very well, though I'm a little vague about the attributes of a good modern cushion cut. But I trusted him to steer me in the right direction, he never did a hard sell with any of the stones, and he was open and honest about their pluses and minuses. And although clarity is usually the first thing I compromise on with diamonds, I did think that a VVS1 was kind of cool. The big nose in the photo belongs to my dog lol.

Oh WOWWWWW! Can't believe I haven't seen this before! I usually do not like "crushed-ice" faceting, but this ring is GORGEOUS! I think the crushed ice look just works so much better with colored diamonds. Glad to hear LM works smoothly with you.

I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and Leon made the process very easy. Props to Rachel as well, she was very pleasant/responsive.
 
I don't know how I missed this originally either but it is stunning. And your pear shape is amazing. Would love to see more of that one. :wavey:
 
@derbygal here are some photos I have on this device. I don't wear this ring anymore because I'm saving it for my son to propose to his girlfriend. Pears seem to be making a comeback, and he could put the stone in a more modern setting. I'm thinking pear halo...

@elle_71125 - Thank you! I wanted a ring like this for a long time, ever since I saw a Tiffany Soleste with a yellow diamond and couldn't get the look out of my mind lol.
 
I love the colour!! Looks like the sun is shining from it instead of on it :love::love:
