Thank you PJ! I''m sure that all the dresses you try on will look wonderful on you! I was going more for a slim A-line type dress just because I am pear-y shaped (much wider hips than bust) but I didn''t want a full A-Line because to me it just felt like too much dress for me to manage.

The maker is Casablanca. A few girls on this forum have Casablanca dresses, and I think for the most part we''ve had positive experiences. They can custom make a gown to your measurements, although I didn''t opt for this. In hindsight, I should have paid the extra 160 for custom because just the hem alone cost $150! the other alterations weren''t as much as that hem, probably because they also have to raise the lace somehow. I have no idea how they do that.

The lace on the sides had to be altered because when it was bustled, the lace stuck out the sides also, so ordering custom may not have helped that. I wanted the french bustle so bad though, so that was ok with me!
