Here is Rascal "waving hello" to our late parakeet Lucky. (Don''t worry, we never let Rascal hurt Lucky! I promise.) But we could never get them to do what the bird and cat are doing in the above pic.

I just went through the whole thread! Your cats are wonderful!!!

I have two cats myself, although I miss them very much because I'm away for school and I'm not allowed to have them in campus appartments.

Here is Abu, when I got her for my 18th birthday. She was 6 weeks old and so tiny when I got her!. She was 8 weeks old in this picture. My sister found the name Abu for her because when she was tiny, she used to climb up and sit on my shoulder. I know my sister has a picture of that, I'll see if she can scan it and E-mail it to me so I can post it here.

My (twin) sister was drawing while lying on the livingroom floor and Abu decided to go play with a plastic bag on her back... She adores plastic bags. I think that's my chem 101 book you can see on the bottom left corner, or maybe I was doing cross-stitch... My sister was shooting me a "your cat is weird" look.

The morning after I got Balou. When I got her home, she was 6 weeks old and Abou had already been home for 6 weeks, so Abu was very hostile, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw them like this on the following morning. My dad found the name Balou because she looks fat with her long hair and has big bones.

Aren't they adorable?

My babies all grown up playing in a box when I moved out last January.

Keep the pictures coming! I adore cats!

Oh Anchor, they are adorable!!

And I can''t believe they got along so well so quickly!

Me neither!!

Here is the other picture I promised. She''s so cute! And I wonder why my hair stopped doing that...

And yes, It''s very messy in my parents'' house. Every flat surface tends to get covered. Please diregard. At least it''s clean.

And here''s something I just found... My two babies when they were still very small with my sister''s dog Kinou. She''s half-Husky and very nice to them, except when she gets excited and wants to "play" with them. She''s a bit over-enthusiastic and scares the poor kitties...

It''s such a sweet picture!

I posted a thread about this in the Hangout, but I must post the pics here too, since this IS the no dogs allowed thread!!!

My kitty Lucy got a new little brother on Friday...his name is Milo.
9.gif
He''s about 7-8 weeks old, and I can already tell how much of a lover he''s going to be!! If I hover my hand over his head he will jump completely off the floor with his front feet just to head bonk my hand! Here are some pics:

Oh, and please excuse the horrible toenail polish...i REALLY need to repaint my toes, lol.

The enthusiastic head bonk...

he LOVES ear scratches!!!!

Anchor -- your two cats are so cute! I love the one with them in the box together! Too cute!

HouMed -- your new kitten is adorable!!!! so tiny! Has Lucy seen him yet?

Thanks Blue! :) Yes, she has seen him, I introduced them for the first time yesterday, and brought him out into the house a few more times today. So far so good...Lucy mostly seems curious, and not too freaked out, which is great considering that it''s only been since Friday night that he''s been here. There has only been a little hissing and a few light swats from her to him (which didn''t hurt him because she has her soft paws on, and plus they were really light little swats), but nothing too bad. I think they''ll be friends before too long (hopefully!)

I''m sure they will be...she''s just putting him in his place. Showing him who''s boss! All of these threads wth new people getting kittens and puppies is making me want a new one! Lol so so bad!

OH. MY. GOD. FUZZY KITTIES!!!!!!!!

I just want to squeeze all of them!!!!! So furry and soft and adorable!

I love that head bonk shot HMG....so funny!

Oooooooooooooo.....Milo is so cute!! I just love his coloring.

Congrats on the new "baby".

Look at all the cute babies!

Anchor: I love your kitties. They are so cute. The shoebox pic is great. Why do they like small spaces? My Jasmine, who is way bigger then your kitties in that picture will squeeze herself into any box that happens to be laying around. The smaller the better it seems!
emsmilep.gif

HOUMed: Your new baby is soooo sweet. I love his color. I really would like to get a buff/orange tabby some day. First I want a puppy though!

Blue: About the picture with the different animals in it, I think the reason it works is because they are all young (it looks like) and they haven''t had a chance to figure out that what they are sitting by could be lunch!!!
emwink.gif
Although, it looks like the little kitty is quite taken with the chinchilla (I think that''s what it is!).

HMG!!! What a sweet little baby!! Just make sure you pay extra attention to Lucy (to the point of ignoring Milo) when they''re in a room together, and they''ll be BFF! Lucy needs to know that she isn''t being replaced in your heart, and they''ll do just fine together. She''ll be in love with Milo before you know it! :)

Thanks ladies!!! I''m kinda smitten with him. :)

JCJD, thanks for the advice!! I''m trying really hard to not ignore Lucy and to give her extra special treats lately...I got some new kitty treats for her and have been playing with her even more than usual just to let her know that she''s still the queen. :)

I have no idea! The cat I had before was big and he used to squeeze into boxes until they broke...

My mother shaved Balou! Without telling me! She says she asked me, but I definitely don''t remember...

Here is Balou before

And here is Balou after:

Why did she shave him?
40.gif
He certainly looks pissed. I would be too.

Mom says she shaved her because she was getting knots and stuff. My sister apparently hasn''t been brushing her every weekend as promised. But she says Balou isn''t pissed and she''s acting very normal. I hope she''s fine, and I miss her and her sister very much!

Update: This evening Lucy and little Milo have been free to wander together around the apartment for the first extended period of time...and they have been playing so well!!! No hissing, only a few playful swats and chasing around, but Lucy has been very gentle in her playing with him and has made sure not to hurt him! I''m totally impressed with her. I gave her lots of loving and kitty treats several times during their play session.

Oh yay, HouMedGal!!!! Sounds like they are already turning into best buds.

This isn''t my cat, she belongs to friends of mine in England. But she''s so beautiful, I know y''all would like to see her anyway.

She''s a rescue cat, from a shelter. The shelter said she was just an ordinary moggy, but she''s showing all the signs of being a Maine Coon; she''s got lynx tips on her ears, snowshoes on her feet and my friends can''t get her out of the shower when there''s water running.

I''ve got three pics, so bear with me ....

First one:

#2:

And finally, here she is trying to get at the birdies (the post belongs to a birdtable). Naughty puss.

She''s soooo cute Cinnabar!!!!
36.gif

OMG those last two pictures are so AWESOME!!! Truly a spunky little fuzzy kitty! Love that licking pose on the steps with her big feet in the air, and of course the determination to climb up that pole to catch some birds!

Oh Cinnabar, I just want to grab her up and rub her all over my face!!! What a darling kitty. She looks like she has a really fun personality!

Oh she is gorgeous!!!

And I love how she walks on a leash!! Wish Rascal would do that

. I tried once, but all he did was lie down and look at me like I was psycho. He was probably right, since I used to try and dress him up in doll clothes too
27.gif
hehe.

That cat is so cute! Lol, I love that she walks on a leash. I tried that when my first cat had kittens, I tried to get the kitten we kept to do it...but he refused. Very cute though

OK, I have some more cuteness for you guys....

Lucy and Milo asleep on my desk, and Milo is using Lucy''s arm as a pillow! hehe!! They''re obviously getting along swimmingly!
