Thank you for the lovely poem and good thoughts @missy, I appreciate you taking the time. I hope the treadmill arrives soon so you don’t have to jolt your joints outside. How did the appt go today, I hope well. The photos are, as always, spectacular, and yum to the ice cream, we’re certainly eating more here in this heat.

Yikes, I hope your sister is OK @marcy, that tornado looked ominous. Wow to the brisket that you won, how’re going to cook it? I can’t imagine that’ll last long with Marty’s big appetite

So, today we went to take paperwork to the dealer to complete the sale of the car,so that’s done. It took up a fair bit of the day, so when we got back, we went to a local deli who serves food and had been recommended to us by an Uber driver. Like most places round here, it was rather ‘rustic’, but the food was good. It’s Colin’s b’day soon, so we’ll go out for a posh meal then.

Good morning girls and happy terrific Thursday!!!

@canuk-gal well my dh is incredible and yes I am biased but he is LOL...He fixed (maybe only temporarily but still) my older treadmill which was in pieces in the attic since we had no room to have two treadmills and an elliptical and a functional trainer plus all my free weights in my workout room. He put it together (took 6 hours by himself) on Sunday night (the day my other treadmill broke) but it wasn't working and he couldn't figure it out because he tested midway when he was putting it together and it did work. But when it was all together nope it wasn't working any longer. So he shelved it til Tuesday (we were very busy Monday with treadmill shopping, cycling and other things). And Tuesday AM he got it working! But I had already done my trail run and weights and we were off cycling so I didn't get to try it til yesterday. And OMG it is working! But on top of that I received a call yesterday from the delivery company and I still won't believe it til it gets delivered but they told me they'd be here Saturday to deliver my new treadmill. I do not know how this is even possible given the fact I was told 2-4 weeks and if it does get delivered Saturday that would only be 5 days from when I ordered it. So we shall see. I am skeptical. But as long as the other treadmill that Greg painstakingly put together continues working I am a happy camper. Fingers crossed How are the wildfires by you? I am so sad about how they seem to be unrelenting and hope everyone stays safe

@mrs-b aww thanks! It's not me. It's the scenery here. One cannot take a bad photo of the beauty all around here. The ice cream photos are more challenging because a. the servers are different and they give us different servings each time and b. they give us lopsided asymmetrical servings which don't photograph great lol and c. also now that it's warmer the ice cream starts melting before Greg gets it out to me to take a photo haha. So on that front I do the best I can but I know you enjoy the ice cream photos so I try not to miss one I hope you had a great meeting with Amy.

Hey everyone else. Hope the summer is going well

We had a great day cycling after my waste of a rheumatology appointment. Doctor was running late. I was his first appt and the staff told me that's what he does. He wants all the patients worked up in the exam rooms waiting for him. That does not go over well with me. Lack of respect for my time. The PA saw me instead because I said I wasn't going to wait and she was fine. But I will be rethinking seeing him again. It's just that I need a rheumatologist and he does have a good reputation but I am skeptical. How can I trust that? It is so disappointing dealing with healthcare IMO. Anyway we got to enjoy a wonderful cycling day and ice cream and furry babies and it was a delightful rest of the day

@missy I am not surprised Greg was able to fix your treadmill. We know he is very handy. That is good Greg’s test are okay, but worrisome you don’t know why he ended up the ER. I hope he is feeling better every day. I am feeling good, thank you. How are you feeling? If you don’t like your new treadmill, can you take it back? So that running gives you pain, but it is gorgeous where you live. Lovely birthday poem for @Austina. Too funny Oliver wants in on the brisket. I thought it was funny @Austina commented it was a snack for Marty. That’s about the truth. It’s 10 pounds. That is so rotten about your appointment. I hate when that happens. Once I waited over three hours for a doctor to return from lunch. Pretty poor. I should have billed him back for my time.

@mrs-b I do work lots of hours, but I get easily bored so I guess that is why. I do take some time for myself. I am about ready to give knitting another go. I’ve slept without the splint for over a week now with no issues. Let’s see if knitting flares it up again. How are you doing? How is Tim?

@canuk-gal I picked up a new round of assorted lotto tickets for us today. Hope springs eternal. Sweet you had another lovely day for a ride. I hate to hear you pulled a muscle, that sounds painful. I hope it gets better right away and is nothing serious. That’s nice your area hasn’t had hail. We’ve been getting large hail and tornadoes in our area, not at our house though.

@Austina my sister had broken windows, damaged roof and strong winds. A house got hit by a tornado just a few miles south of them. She took them a pot roast yesterday. They are living in a trailer someone pulled to their home while their house gets repaired. They have 3 children and one on the way. What a time to be out of your home. Sweet the lemon is no longer your problem. What a pain it’s been but good deal it’s behind you.

I only worked seven hours today. See I cut back!

Yesterday I met a friend for lunch and we sat outside on a patio for three hours talking. Today, it looks like someone smeared rouge all over may face. Yes, I sunburn easy and I am quite red. Marty wants to know what I did that made me so embarrassed. It doesn’t really hurt, just the skin feels tight. It’s start improving tomorrow and I’ve had far worse sunburns over the years.

Today I had a year later check with the endodontist that did my root canal. Everything looks great. It healed well.

While I was out, I picked up some spending cash, got gas and picked up groceries. I got another video on YouTube when I started working again and began the script for another one. These last minute ones are kind of a pain.

Today is our 32nd anniversary so we are going to dinner when Marty gets home from the gym. Although, some of his new toys showed up to make his solar scope so he’ll be in a hurry to get home.

Good morning girls and happy FriYAY!!

@marcy happy anniversary to you and Mr Marty! Have a great anniversary weekend and the whole country will be celebrating with you (Fourth of July holiday weekend)! I am feeling OK thank you for asking and so is Greg knock wood. Oliver could give Marty a run for his money with his appetite. This cat never gets full lol. Wow three hours. No way would I have waited. LOL my appointment was at 8:30 AM and the assistant took me back t 8:30 did my work up (weight, bp etc) and then told me Dr H was not in yet as he always comes after all the appointments are in the exam rooms waiting for him. I said well, I did call the day before to make sure I would be taken in a timely fashion and they assured me I would be. The PA came in and took over and it was fine. But not cool the doctor makes his patents wait. I did message him that morning asking for a lab script and he obliged (he doesn't usually write for the tests I requested). So at least he was flexible enough to do as I requested so we shall see. It's appalling IMO to purposefully waste their patients time....Ugh to getting sunburned. I too burn easily so always always wear sunblock on my face and spf clothing when cycling. Glad you enjoyed a wonderful lunch out with your friend and hahaha to only working 7 hours. And I am like you in that I enjoy being busy but only with fun things lol. But when I was working in my career I did prefer being busy to being bored. Happy anniversary weekend!

Belated Happy Anniversary @marcy & Marty! 32 years is a testament to the love and strength of your marriage. I’ve walked out before rather than carrying on waiting, 3 hours is just a ridiculous amount of time to expect anyone to wait to be seen.

I don’t know how the day got away from us yesterday, it just did!

Woohoo to Greg fixing your treadmill until your new one arrives @missy, he’s such a clever man. Fingers crossed they deliver when they say they will. What is it with people thinking their time is more valuable than yours? IMO it’s extremely unprofessional to make an appt. then not bother to show up at the appointed time. They’d probably refuse to see you if you turned up late!

As the car is now subject to a claim, can I please ask that the “L” word isn’t mentioned anymore. As far as we’re concerned, it’s now done with, and a successful outcome to the claim will be a bonus.

Another hot day yesterday, we were in the pool early, then, after cleaning up, we did the food shopping and spent the afternoon in the cool.

We were invited over to a new neighbour yesterday evening, and had a lovely time.

Got to go for another impression today, the first night guard wasn’t suitable, so they need to do it again. After than, some errands to run, then back in to the cool. I’ve already spent an hour in the pool this morning, and it’s due to be another hot, hot, hot one.

No plans for the weekend, other than catching up on household things. The weeks are just whizzing by, it‘ll be July tomorrow, how did that happen?

Had sideways hail yesterday--brutal. TS daily it seems; at least todays cloud burst was minimal. Fair amount of damage to roads, cars and trees yesterday.

@canuk-gal glad to hear your area is clear and free of smoky conditions! Yes he is very handy I have to say. The treadmill repairman didn't want to come because the treadmill is 19 years old (lol it doesn't owe me anything) but Greg knew how badly I wanted to be on a treadmill while waiting for the new one so he took many hours to figure it out. I don't think it will last very long but hoping it lasts as long as I need it to. Enjoy a wonderful weekend!

@rainwood you were/are right...I love the new treadmill. I haven't figured out much on it yet lol but had a great workout this morning. Worth the upgrade cost for sure. And looks like I might not be cleaning out my closets today..rain/thunder/lightning is coming but mid afternoon now so we are taking a chance and heading out soon. Looks like tomorrow might be the cleaning the closets out day however because it is going to be a stormy Monday. Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Hey everyone else. So we went cycling yesterday and got home before the treadmill delivery arrived and it all went pretty smoothly. I just finished my first workout on it and it's sweet. Just have to figure out how to program myself in as a user to keep track of my workouts. Not that it matters because I basically do the same workout daily. Today we are chancing it to go cycling before the storms arrive so fingers crossed we make it home safely. Enjoy a wonderful day girls. XOXO



New treadmill screen. I can choose from many different scenes to workout too but also can do something called ifit for 30 days (free trial membership) but haven't tried to figure that out yet as I am definitely not doing a monthly subscription after the cost of this treadmill lol. I do not need that but am curious so will see if I can figure it out to try it

So glad the new treadmill is everything you hoped for @missy, and also glad it came in a timely manner. You don’t need scenery when you have such a lovely view anyway Ollie’s face is an absolute picture - butter wouldn’t melt Good luck for Greg‘s appt tomorrow, I’ll be thinking of you both.

Colin asked if I wanted anything @canuk-gal, but honestly with everything going on, and having to buy a new car, I just couldn‘t be bothered looking. I’ll loose my PS membership if word gets out

It’s been hot but dullish here this weekend, so we’ve been in the pool quite a lot. I went out for a walk with L next door yesterday evening, and needed another shower when I got home. Other than that, we’ve just been relaxing (apart from doing the laundry) and watched a film last night on Prime called Solace. Didn’t get great reviews, but we enjoyed it.

I hope all the lovely NIRDIs have been enjoying a good weekend, we’ve got the warranty people coming tomorrow morning to secure some loose shingles.

@Austina glad you have the pool with which to relax and refresh with the hot humid weather you've been experiencing. I always say a pool is a must if one lives in a hot humid state. I always wanted a salt water pool (well not always but since I was an adult and realized they existed). LOL about not wanting a birthday gift. Honestly I cannot remember the last time I got an official gift from Greg. My younger self would have been wow that's so unromantic but we know better now don't we. Our DHs show how much they love us every single day and we want for nothing so I cannot even think of a birthday gift I would want... besides a puppy lolol but that is just a make believe wish as I know the reality wouldn't match my desire at this point at least. I think we saw Solace but omg I don't remember. It's early here lol. Glad you enjoyed it. We re watched Jaws last night. I think the last time we saw that movie was over 10 years ago. It doesn't disappoint though I feel sad for the shark at the end but I comfort myself knowing it was a mechanical shark and not a real one

@bling_dream19 hope you are having a lovely long holiday weekend. Greg's firm is not off today (surprising...not haha) but hoping it won't be busy for him being July 3rd before the big day tomorrow. I am not a July 4th fan. Too upsetting for all the animals. And most of the people shooting off fireworks aren't celebrating the country anyway rather they are just doing what they want to do which is to make lots of noise and shoot fireworks. I don't mind the organized fireworks by the town during the planned event but don't care for private citizens shooting illegal fireworks. Luckily so far here it hasn't been bad yet...sometimes they start weeks ahead. Anyway enjoy and stay safe

Hi everyone else. Hope all is well. We enjoyed a nice long cycling day yesterday and there was no rain at least during the daylight hours or before I went to bed but maybe it rained overnight. Not sure yet til I go outside. Today thunder and rain storms are predicted again scattered throughout the day but we might go cycling despite the risk. Not sure yet. Whatever you do enjoy a marvelous Monday. It doesn't feel like Monday to me today and yesterday didn't feel like Sunday...I guess having July 4th on a weekend changes the perception of the weekdays..Enjoy and be well...XOXO

Hello lovelies

It was last Monday Greg had his appt., wasn’t it? I don’t know what day of the week it is most of the time, the days just meld in to each other Aww Cleopatra is a little beauty @missy . Sorry there’ll be no cycling today, we could use some rain, but doesn’t look like we’ll be getting any. It is going to be ‘cooler’ today, only mid to low 90’s We saw the ‘shark’ at one of the theme parks several years ago, it was very realistic, and as you can imagine, scared the living daylights out of us when it leapt out of the water!

I forgot to answer your question the other day about the roses @canuk-gal. So far, they seem to be surviving, and the ones at the back are positively thriving. 2 of the new ones I planted outside the study window aren’t doing as well, but they’re hanging on, so hopefully will get more sturdy.

I’m enjoying your videos on FB @marcy, and will try and look out for the planets, although generally by the evening, I fall in to bed an exhausted heap and forget to look outside. It doesn’t get dark here until quite late.

We had unexpected visitors yesterday, when I noticed I had ants crawling all over me! We traced them to the pantry, and found dozens of the horrible little blighters, they’re fire ants and they bite! So we had to take everything out, try and find where they were getting in, spray everywhere and then clean up. We only had the pest control people out 2 weeks ago, and called them back because we still had lots of them on the pool deck. Ugh! Colin’s ordered some peppermint based spray that’s supposed to despatch them.

No sign of the roofing people so far, it feels like we’ve already done a days work as we were out early weeding and deadheading. I’m going in the pool to cool off.

@missy we did have a lovely anniversary. Of course, when Marty was teasing me about something, I did say “great, 32 years of bliss gone to pieces”. I do crack myself up. I’m relieved to hear Greg is feeling okay. Too funny that Oliver has Marty’s appetite. They are both like to play shenanigans too. I know you really protect yourself from the sun. I generally am careful My face is peeling now, it looks so lovely - NOT. And itches a bit. I totally enjoyed all of your new pictures. I am so glad you love your new treadmill. That is awesome.

@Austina it is hard to believe it’s July already. This year has zipped by for me. Marty is heading to Texas to join in on the heatwave with you. He’s not a fan of hot weather either. You can always use the “my birthday present” card when you find something you want. I swear, Marty and I are probably covered for the next 100 years. Nice your roses are doing well. Many of my flowers have perked up, but one pot has one tiny plant that hasn’t flowered yet. Oh no to fire ants. I hope the pest control got them taken care of for you. The first summer we were in our house when had all sorts of little bugs everywhere. I wondered if they were just residual from building the house and everything was open for a while.

@canuk-gal that’s great your area isn’t plagued with smoke. We’ve had a wetter than normal June in this area so I hope that keeps our usual wildfires at bay. How are your ribs doing? They sound sore. Oh no to sideways hail - sounds like what we get here too. I remember watching some 2” hail coming down once and it was hitting our window and I finally realized I should probably move. Sometimes, I’m slow on the update. Ha Ha.

What the heck have I been doing? I got another video recorded and posted, started on the next one and that was this weekend. Today, I refined the script on the latest podcast and got quite a bit of my normal work accomplished.

We ate out quite a bit this week (every day come to think of it) and watched the first two episodes of Jack Ryan season 4 and some old Star Trek movies. Saturday night, we sat on the couch again and star gazed a bit before Marty picked his target and went out to set up the camera to take pictures all night. I think most of Marty's new toys have arrived now. I got another box today.

Marty is headed to Texas tomorrow. He hates hot weather so he'll have fun down there in the three digit temperatures. I'll be on a quest not to cook or do dishes while he's gone. Ha!

Good morning and happy July 4th to those who celebrate!

@marcy safe travels to Marty. Texas is HOT and I feel for him because I, too, do not enjoy the extreme heat. Nice you got to enjoy meals out every day/night this week. You have been quite productive as usual. Sweet you completed one video and got started on another and did an entire podcast script too. Ugh about getting sunburned. I am on meds that make me photo sensitive but even if I weren't I was always sensitive to the sun. My dad liked to joke when we were little saying we have no melanin lol. Have a good holiday!

@canuk-gal boo to the smoke conditions by you and I hope it clears soon. We are having a similar (albeit less serious) issue here and it seems it will be a pattern for the foreseeable future. Glad you got to cycle in the morning at least

@missy yes, we are cursed with the sun torturing us. Glad you protect yourself. I generally do, this was unexpected though. Oh well. I hope you had a clear spot so you and Greg could cycle. We had an intense rain roll through here a while ago. What was funny, it was hitting the windows on both side of the house. Wyoming's wind just doesn't mess around.

@Calliecake thank you for the anniversary wishes. How are your flowers doing?

Not much exciting going on here. Marty headed to the airport about 10 a.m. I worked until a while ago, but I did stop and grill myself a burger for lunch. It's BBQ day, right? I'm considering popcorn and a movie for supper.

Good morning and happy July 4th to those who celebrate!

@marcy safe travels to Marty. Texas is HOT and I feel for him because I, too, do not enjoy the extreme heat. Nice you got to enjoy meals out every day/night this week. You have been quite productive as usual. Sweet you completed one video and got started on another and did an entire podcast script too. Ugh about getting sunburned. I am on meds that make me photo sensitive but even if I weren't I was always sensitive to the sun. My dad liked to joke when we were little saying we have no melanin lol. Have a good holiday!

@canuk-gal boo to the smoke conditions by you and I hope it clears soon. We are having a similar (albeit less serious) issue here and it seems it will be a pattern for the foreseeable future. Glad you got to cycle in the morning at least

@Austina I hate ants and I found one yesterday in the kitchen so hope that doesn't mean more will follow. Good luck getting rid of them. They can be persistent little buggers lol. Hope the roofing people came and did what they needed to do to your satisfaction. Stay cool in the pool

Hey everyone else. So we enjoyed a good cycling day yesterday and no rain while we were out. Whew. But today scattered storms throughout the day so very doubtful we will be riding. Greg'll check the radar later and we will decide for sure but right now it's looking like a nope. Enjoy today whatever you do and be safe. And big hugs to all the furry babies especially today...XOXO

And as a very lucky sign we saw Cleopatra again yesterday...that make three days in a row and generally we go weeks without seeing her so I take that as a good sign. She let me rub her belly and she was making happy noises



I was wearing my July 4th socks and short sleeve jersey yesterday knowing we might not be able to cycle on July 4th

Fireworks aren't too bad in the city as it's illegal to sell them here. I can see bits of the official display from my house plus a few across the bay. On the island, it was so crazy I don't like to go but this is the first year fireworks are banned there too so maybe fewer people will be trying to show off their manhood! And fingers crossed, fewer idiots starting wildfires this year. We'e been smoke free so far this summer and I'd like to keep it that way!

@rainwood the idi iots here in power that allow the fireworks have contributed to our poor air quality this morning. Id io ts.
Glad fireworks is not an issue by you. Luckily it wasn't very noisy here and I was able to fall asleep no issues. And the cats seemed fine TG. However the "celebration" continues this week.But I am grateful the cats are fine and were not upset from the fireworks today

@canuk-gal I am so sorry about how you are missing your mom...my heart goes out to you. Sending you gentle hugs and keeping you in my thoughts. {{{{Hugs}}}}

@marcy luckily we did not cycle yesterday and the skies did open up and there was thunder and lightning after noon so whew. Hoping to cycle today. It's a hot rest of the week here. Which I will make the best of as I'm not a fan of the extreme temps. Hope Marty is having a successful trip and you are not missing him too much.

Hey everyone else. We ran errands yesterday (all the grocery stores including Tis and WFs were open) and the day went fast. We are cycling today and looking forward to it. I finally got the courage up to schedule an appointment with the eye surgeon for August and am trying to push that out of my mind for now. Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday and be well. XOXO

@rainwood and I started cleaning out my drawers and closets yesterday too But I need help in getting rid of stuff because I kept most of the clothing I went through and that is not going to help me clear things away LOL...I must be ruthless and I have to work my way up to being so

I only got rid of two white cotton t shirts. LOLOL I mean that is not going to get my drawers more organized and less cluttered. Two white t shirts.

Thanks, @missy - we had an awesome 4th here yesterday! We feasted with a late lunch, then went swimming in the evening - gorgeous! And just btw - Cleopatra's RBF cracked me up!!

I've just set up Sirius XM again in my car, so that's one more small thing addressed.

Tim had a heart scan today, so we're waiting on the results of that.

Eleanor and I go out for brunch every day, where we chat and drink coffee and read books. It's so pleasant.

@marcy - sounds to me like a perfect 4th. I love a quiet day like that.

@canuk-gal - thinking of you re your Mom's b'day. Hoping it was ok and that your week passes without event.

@Austina - how is the pool? The one here was purrrfect yesterday! Somewhere between cool and tepid. Gorgeous. How is the ant situation?

@rainwood - the AQI here today is massively high - like there's a wildfire nearby sort of level. I've been coughing and sneezing and feeling tight in the chest all morning. Yuk. Why it's legal for every man and his dog to do this once a year is completely beyond me.

Good news @marcy, it’s ’only’ low to mid 90’s here this week, so Marty won’t fry while he’s here Good job on following @canuk-gal s example and getting out of the habit of cooking, keep up the good work.

Thanks @Calliecake, the pool has certainly proved to be a good investment, we’re in everyday.

The pool is perfect @mrs-b, without heating it’s averaging a temp of 90 degs, which might sound hot, but it’s actually really lovely. So glad you and Eleanor are enjoying your time together, and can’t wait to see your new eternity. Everything crossed for good results for Tim.

Sorry you’ve been feeling sad @canuk-gal, and dreading work this week. I hope the awful smoke and haze isn’t causing too many problems.

Fireworks are illegal here too @rainwood , didn’t stop the idiots letting them off till gone 11pm last night!

Glad you got all your errands done @missy, and hopefully you had a good ride today. Yep, just put the visit out of your mind till nearer the time, it’s a few weeks yet, so no point worrying now. I’m glad Greg is feeling OK, and long may it continue.

We’ve been enjoying the pool and yesterday our neighbours invited us round for pie and ice cream, and then we joined their little boy letting off some sparklers.

We went out for lunch today and came home stuffed

We have a FT call with our friends tomorrow morning, then more warranty work being done. This week is whizzing by.

So I jinxed it yesterday because the fireworks noise was worse than normal and people were setting off cherry bombs until well after 2 a.m.!

So I'm going to retract what I said about hoping for a smoke-free summer, and acknowledge that we're having a hotter and drier summer than is usual both here and north of the border so there will be wildfires somewhere. Whether we get the smoke depends entirely on which way the wind blows. July and August used to be our best months here, but now summer planning requires a Plan B if there's bad smoke.

@rainwood ugh I'm sorry. The fireworks definitely worsened the air quality here but this year (so far) it has been the quieter July 4th in recent memory. Hoping I didn't just jinx it lol. We have a town celebration tomorrow for July 4th so fireworks will be happening but hopefully since it is organized by the town it will be safe and over fast enough. Yesterday the air quality in NYC was in the high 200s (bad) but here stayed under 100 TG. Today they are predicting poor air quality as the day goes on so we shall see, Hope your fireworks have all stopped til next year fingers crossed

@mrs-b I am glad you had a wonderful holiday and enjoying the lovely company of Eleanor and hahaha yes Cleopatra's RBF is something to behold (her real name is Lilly as we found out recently but feel Cleopatra suits her better lol). I hope Tim's scan turns out to be fine and nothing to be concerned about. Keeping him in my thoughts. And oooh I cannot wait to see your gorgeous blingtastic remade eternity band...SWOON in advance!

@Austina thanks and yes. I have enough on my mind so will push that away for now. Greg is supposed to repeat blood work for the urologist since his blood work was wonky when they evaluated it at the ER two weeks ago. But now he is not wanting to go this morning as he promised me the other day when I wanted him to go Wednesday (yesterday) as the PA advised. I know he will go if I demand he does but not sure if I should insist. Leaning towards insisting but we will see. We have an endocrinologist appt next Wed and he said he'll do the tests then but I am concerned as his EGFR was low so I want to see what it's doing now. It's always something and usually multiple somethings. Enjoy your FT call this morning and have a good day

We enjoyed cycling yesterday despite the beastly heat which continues today and there are scattered thundershowers predicted today and for the next few days. Welcome summer and the unpredictable heat and thunderstorms. Today right in the middle of the day I have a call with one of my (former thanks to the new laws) specialist so hoping that goes OK. I am nervous as to what he will say about my latest results and am grateful he is willing to do a call with me though he can no longer officially be my doctor. Stupid government regulation and foolish laws that will end up hurting many people.

Busy week. One good and one hectic work day. I only want the good ones!!! I got my CXR done today--hopefully nothing shows up, but why do I have that rib pain..... Anyway, did so many errands today--went to my favorite french bakery--their quiche is divine. Gobbled it up for supper--I didn't want to share!!!! I hope to get on my bike tomorrow--I feel like I need to. Thanks my NIRDI pals for our kind words about my Mom. I wore her mabe pearl necklace to work. I felt beautiful.

Hi NIRDI’s!

@rainwood darn you had a lot of fireworks there and going up late in to the night. Fireworks are banned in our city limits too, but they sell them here since they are legal to shoot off in the county. So everyone buys them and lights them up anyway.

@missy darn that you didn’t get to go cycling. We keep getting lots of rain too. Yesterday we were in the 40’s. I cranked on our furnace. Marty is surviving the heat and humidity but lost his debit card giving me a spike in my BP. He wasn’t worried but I went over to the credit union and had them deactivate it. He found it this morning. He’d left it on the counter at a coffee shop. Beautiful fireworks photo and sunrise. Try not to worry about your appointment next month, but I understand. I hope your phone call went well today.

@mrs-b glad you enjoyed the 4th of July. Sending buckets of good luck for good results on Tim’s test. I can’t wait to see your remade eternity band.

@Austina Marty is not enjoying the 90’s and the humidity. It’s not warm here. I did skip cooking most of the week. Lots of PB sandwiches, microwave food or Door Dash. I ordered in pizza tonight. Tomorrow, is back to the cooking drudgery. Nice to have pie and ice cream with your neighbors.

@canuk-gal I cashed in a lotto ticket today. We can add $8 to our winnings. We must be getting close to $100 by now. I love that your wore your mom’s pearl necklace to work, those kind of things are so special and I know they comfort me. Big hugs to you. Glad at least one work day wasn’t hectic this week. I hope they find an easy fix for your rib pain.

We’ve had two cold, rainy days here. I’ll have to turn the AC back on tomorrow before Marty gets home. Darn. I got another video posted on YouTube and did other assorted work tasks.

@marcy we got to cycle yesterday despite the heat and it was great. Glad Marty is doing OK in the heat and humidity and oh no about the debit card. Glad he found it but too bad he deactivated it though it was the best thing to do at that time. I wouldn't mind cooler weather right now though I wouldn't like the rain so I guess it's a mixed bag for you. Woohoo to winning 8$ lol. You can buy a cup of coffee with a bagel here for that so nothing to sneeze at haha

@canuk-gal would love your help...whenever you want you are invited haha. Yup it was hard for me to even part with those two white shirts that were new and never worn. LOL I have big eyes and buy more than I could ever wear what can I say. Yummm to delicious quiche. Yes most of our TS happen later in the day but they can be unpredicatble and we have had our fair share of being caught in storms. Not fun. And scary at times with the thunder and lightning. And gentle hugs to you. Missing your mom is so hard

Hey everyone else. We had good cycling day yesterday albeit HOT. My telemedicine call went ok...he told me not to worry which is exactly what I predicted. I am not feeling 100 percent convinced but in reality there is nothing I can do til it gets worse so it's a waiting game. Which I am not a fan of as some of you might know.,LOL. What is that quote...the only thing that is predictable about life is that life is not predictable. I might have just made that up

In keeping with my trend--I got take out again today. LOL. Had a nice warm ride this AM--now again the clouds are rolling in. Yesterday's TS hit places in the city hard--dime sized hail, flash flooding from the deluge of rain. We just got rain, thank goodness--but the news/pictures were scary.

@missy I have not trouble whatsoever getting rid of clothing. I like having more space--and I love that people benefit from my donations. That said, I have more than my fair share of jewellery regrets!!!! Got rid of a few things I wish I hadn't. LOL. And I am a big fan of good quiche.

@Austina hope those ants are gone for good.

@marcy is Marty melting? I love the heat--sure beats the opposite! I had KFC chicken strips for supper. LOL they are good--who knew??? Otherwise I never eat the stuff.
