Hi NIRDI’s!
Holy cow, I’m far behind.
@missy how is Oliver doing? I hated to hear he had to go see your sister. Speaking of your family, I loved all your family photos. What a fun get-together. Yes, if my SIL stays here for about a month it might get challenging, but our house can handle the three of us and we are able to get away from each other. She stayed here that long before. She’d be good help getting ready for Christmas. Glad you are putting more miles on your bike. Where are you at on mileage now? Beautiful pictures from your outings. I am relieved to hear Greg’s MRI results showed a cyst, not that it’s fun, but that it’s nothing to be concerned about. And yay that Oliver is doing better. And wow your nieces have grown, they are wonderful young ladies. I hope your procedure went well today. Sending healing dust to your dad.
@Austina we cooled off to the low 60’s today after an intense rain. I’ll send some your way. LOL to my bruise coming from Colin and I wrestling over the bill. I’ll be FAR more aware of his trickery the next time. Glad you enjoyed the cookies. People we run in to at the store that we haven’t seen for awhile will even ask me “do you still make those cookie?” Of course, they all have their favorites. I appreciate hearing you enjoy the videos. I’ll post my latest one later on FB. I even loaded it on TikTok. I was proud to say I didn’t even have a TikTok account but now I guess it’s part of my job. I didn’t know you had to pay extra for the emergency exit seats. Marty always tries to get them.
@canuk-gal I am with you I’d rather to overdressed than get cold. You can always take layers off. Of course, I am generally cold. Good idea to keep up avoiding cooking. Yesterday, I grilled myself three 1/3 pound hamburgers (Marty ate his three at once) and I just heat up the leftovers in the oven. it works great. Your Snoopy pillow sounds great, you know I’d like it. It’s funny on the brisket, I hadn’t tried it until a few years ago when we stopped at a BBQ place Marty heard was good. I’m hooked now. My SIL left Saturday morning. She headed to Denver for a week, then is on her way to San Diego. We are going back and forth between 60’s and 80’s (F) here and still getting rain. I dread the soon-to-be-here snow if we continue to get this much moisture. Wyoming is still green. Wow!
@MamaBee your new place is looking fabulous. Such fun to decorate and make it your own. It would be fabulous for all of us to meet at once and at the same time. I agree on putting blackout shades or curtains in the bedroom. We have a blackout shade and curtain in our bedroom and I’ve never slept so good in my life. Well, except for my recent case of waking up and not being able to fall asleep again. I just noticed your quote at the bottom, I used to say that ALL the time. When I was in college, I had this little book of quotes and I used to whip it out and use it all the time. I still have that book somewhere.
@springerspaniel congratulations on your 20th anniversary.
As I mentioned above, my SIL was leaving Saturday morning so I spent some time with her Friday. We went out to eat and went shopping again. I baked biscuits for breakfast for all of us on Saturday and Marty made us bacon and eggs. She headed out at about 11 a.m. I spent most of Saturday and part of Sunday getting my monthly article write and sent off to the local newspaper and got the September newsletter done for the astronomy club. I did some work on my latest video and my usual laundry and lifting. It was a busy weekend.
This morning I ran out and paid the bill for the door they installed in June. I kept watching for their bill that never showed up, they left me a message on Friday to please pay. I asked for a print out of the bill when I paid this morning, they sent two bills to me at their address, how the heck did they not figure that out? I just politely said, I wondered where my bill was. While I was out I picked up groceries and ran my car through a car wash.
Marty got a picture of the comet that’s in the morning sky. He had no idea the tail was so long so it doesn’t all show up in his picture.
Take care.
Marcy
