And our Christmas tree is up! :)

Hello lovelies

:dance:To putting your tree up @missy, and you know we need to see photos. So glad to hear that the cardiologist didn‘t find anything too concerning with your Dad, hopefully the diuretics will stop the fluid build up. Love the beach photo, what a stunning view you have. We had a really warm day on Sunday, and now it’s back to below 70, which is now feeling decidedly cool, although not cool enough for our heat to come on. Let’s hope when the time comes, our plans for care work out the way we want them to.

We sorted all Colin’s cruise clothes out yesterday, and they’re folded and ready for bagging. I’m doing mine tomorrow. We also spent quite a lot of time talking to our lovely friend in Canada who’s a travel agent. Would you believe that we already have to book for Christmas 24 and 25 as the cabins we want are selling out fast?

We had a long FT sessions with our friends this morning. We’re all hoping that they’ve heard the last from that ghastly woman. Their (lawyer) friend helped them write a sternly worded letter refuting her claims, and pointing out the inaccuracies with her story. They also told her NOT to contact them again. So far so good. They also heard from a former neighbour that the man had told them they had post to forward and could they have their address. When the neighbour found out it was a ruse, they went and confronted them and told the man he was a liar! Don’t think they’re making any friends in the neighbourhood!

Hope all the lovely NIRDIs are safe and well :wavey:

Good morning lovely ladies! Happy terrific Thursday!

@Austina OK I will take a photo for you. Thanks for your lovely comments. Oh I would love 70s right now. It is in the 30s here. Brrrrr. And our heat has been on since September lol

I do believe you have to book far in advance. It is a good sign people are traveling again. Good luck with finishing your packing for the cruise. Glad you had a good FT with your friends and hope all their troubles get sorted soon and to their satisfaction

@Slickk, @bling_dream19, @canuk-gal, @marcy, @MamaBee, @mrs-b, @springerspaniel, and all the sweet NIRDIs, hope your week is going smoothly.

We had a good day yesterday. I had a zoom medical appointment and then we went hiking and then we discovered a new vegan bakery in our town. Sweet. Greg already tried a pumpkin cream cheese muffin. He liked it. All vegan.
Today Tommy has some blood work scheduled at the vet's office and then we shall go hiking. I cannot believe it is Thursday already. Enjoy a lovely day. XOXO

It's flurrying here!!!! First "snow" of the season LOL

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crazy weather!!! We go from 16C and sun--to wet snow. This is our reality!!! LOL We have been spoiled by record warm temps for Nov and beginning of Dec--so apparently I am not supposed to complain about snow.....but I hate it!! Not sure it will stay...as warm temps are predicted next week. Who knows!

2 heavy work days this week. I have booked only one day each week until the end of the year. I'll see how I feel. As an aside I am loving my new bag--while it is a touch bigger than I am accustomed to, I don't feel it wears me. It gets admired!

@missy yay to the tree! LOL. Hope your folks stay well!!!

@marcy healing vibes to your DH! Unfortunately 'tis the season to be sick!

@Austina snap those rooms up!!! My DH was looking at cruises--I encouraged him to go on one! :lol-2: I believe my neighbor told me they were going on 5 consecutive ones....here there and everywhere! Gets them through the dreary weather months here.....

Keep well folks!

cheers--Sharon

Hello lovelies

Sounds like a good plan to cut back on the hours @canuk-gal, especially as it’s stressful work. Honestly, I can’t imagine snow right now, we never used to get much back home, it was a pretty rare occurrence where we lived in the South. Glad you’re enjoying your new bag, honestly I’ve got to stop carrying the world around in mine, my shoulder is killing me and I’ve been sitting with a heat pad on it all afternoon. I think I’ve also been sleeping awkwardly, which hasn’t helped.

Oh no to snow @missy, did you cancel your walk? I hope Tommy’s blood work comes back A OK. That’s great you’ve found a vegan bakery close by, no wonder Greg liked the muffin, it sounds delish!

Our TA friend has secured our cabins for the next 2 cruises, we gave her some choices of our preferred locations, and she managed to get us the exact ones we wanted! We also booked flights for our friends to visit us in September, as well as flights for a few days in Las Vegas, as they’ve never been. We’ve got lots of airmiles, so used those for the trips.

I’ve done all the packing, apart from our toiletries, so we’re all set for next weekend, then we did our food shopping - oh the excitement of it all

Friday again tomorrow, how did that happen?

Take care

:wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I am relieved to hear your dad’s appointment with the cardiologist went well. Yes, I understand your thoughts and feelings. It’s hard. I am glad you guys went to visit them this weekend. Yay for getting the Christmas tree up. We did too. Love your pictures as always. They always make my day seeing your pretty views especially those ocean and sun shots. I hope Tommy’s tests were fine.

@Austina your new bed looks great. We were up to 61 the other day here. It was a heatwave for us. Snow is coming again tomorrow. Phooey. Sounds like you are ready for your cruise. My in laws are going on one the 16th. That would be ironic if it was the same cruise. I hope your friends have heard the last of that troublemaker. Some people are just nuts these days. What a relief to get your next few cruises booked and getting the rooms you wanted.

@canuk-gal I am glad to hear you are enjoying - and getting noticed - with your new bag. I switch between my two Snoopy bags. Since they are nylon, they wear forever. Good idea to only work one day a week. That’ll probably help you decide what you want to do. I might visit my old job next week. Every year we sign cards to send to the local retirement homes and they have lunch times scheduled for people to meet in the big conference room to work on them. So a friend is going to see if she can get permission for me to come on site to sign cards. That would be fun.

Thanks for the well wishes for Marty. He is slightly better but certainly not well. He keeps going out in the cold at night to take pictures and I am sure that isn’t helping. He has been working but not going to the gym. He takes his meds and cough syrup but rarely gets more than four hours of sleep before his coughing starts again.

The counter offer on our potential new house was not to our liking, so we rejected it immediately. I think Marty’s offer was too low which might have irritated them. We pulled our house off the market and will see what happens. I thought Marty would drop it, but pulled up Zillow on Apple TV tonight to look at houses again. We got our pre-qualify letter and everything set up before decided we would reject their offer. Our realtor offered to cut her commission and would ask the selling agent the same thing to get the price 1/2 way between the two offers but Marty said no.

Chris (my sister-in-law) and I put up the Christmas tree yesterday. It’s been hard to concentrate on work with the house process.

I ordered some gift wrap bags from Amazon. What a quick way to wrap gifts. One of the sets is great, you drop the gift in the bag and pull a draw string made of ribbon and tie it. Voila! Instant wrapped gift. The other one I ordered has ribbon separately and you have to tie them, but they don’t work as well. They aren’t neat and pretty like I usually do, but wow was it quick.

Take care.
Marcy

Here’s today’s sunrise.IMG_2791.jpeg

GM girls and happy FriYAY! And happy Hanukkah!

@canuk-gal yay so happy you love your new bag and also very glad you are not working every single day. I know the right decision will be yours soon. And omg yes. We have crazy weather too. It was flurrying all afternoon albeit very light and absolutely nothing stuck even on the grass or trees. So it was a non event. It was also 38F so too warm for anything to stay.

@marcy thank you and a big ditto. I LOVE your photos and they bring us all joy. I am glad you and Chris put up the Xmas tree already. It's nice to have the bright happy tree in the living room with all the lights. Brightens up the room and the dark short days. The gift wrap bags from Amazon sound great. Efficient and easy. Continuing healing vibes to Marty...may he feel 100 percent very soon. Sorry about the house offer but if it's meant to be it will be. Smart to take your home off the market while you are waiting for the right house. It will happen.

@Austina no, we ran errands and we got to hike too. It was a non event with light flurries all afternoon but so light I couldn't photograph it. When I used to go on cruises I always booked an outside cabin to see the ocean. I could never be in an inside cabin with no view. One of my favorite cruises was to Alaska. Breathtaking scenery. Fantastic trip. Greg has never been on a cruise lol. And TBH while I enjoyed cruises very much and got to see things one cannot usually see without being on the ocean I am not sure Greg would enjoy cruises. But maybe. We always went on the best ships. The QE2. Remember that? And Holland America MS Ryndam. It was her maiden voyage. A lifetime ago. Anyway, very exciting and next weekend will be here before we know it.

@Slickk big hugs and so much love. Have a great weekend sweet friend

@bling_dream19 happy FriYAY! May your day be filled with all things yay

Hello everyone else. We accomplished a lot yesterday running errands and getting to be active outdoors. Despite the cold temps...I wore my heaviest coat and lol let's just say I am not ready for winter weather. Brrrrr

Enjoy a wonderful day. Be well. XOXO

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we got waaaayyyyy more snow than we needed. LOL Ticks me off!!! Sun is finally trying to shine.........

Our staff party is today, will have a few laughs and food!! Yay to not cooking! Gotta get ready.....

@missy your leggings are adorable!!!!! And I am jeali that your snow didn't stick around.

Stay safe and well folks!

Hello lovelies

Sorry to hear that Marty still isn’t well @marcy, do you think it could be RSV? I’m with @missy, if that house was meant to be, the stars would’ve aligned (). YOUR new home is out there just waiting for you to find it. Always happened for us, and I’m a great believer that what’s meant to be, will be. Glad you and Chris got the tree up. How’s Snoopy’s legs, has he fully recovered?

Wow, @missy, I can’t believe how grown up the girls are. Cruises are funny things, if you don’t find the right fit, it’ll definitely put you off forever. I’m with you, I wouldn’t want to be in an inside cabin, not that I like looking out when the sea’s rough, but on a warm weather cruise, it’s nice to sit outside on the balcony and just enjoy the view. The ship we’re going on is brand new, only launched earlier this year, and looks beautiful.

Enjoy the party @canuk-gal and stay safe and warm.

Just sorting out bits and pieces for the trip, nothing planned for the w/e, we’re keeping away from people for the next week so we don’t get ill.

Have a great weekend :wavey:

Good morning girls! Happy Caturday Saturday!

@Slickk thank you and all my warmest holiday wishes to you and your loved ones. And wishing for us all a happy and healthy and peaceful New Year

@canuk-gal I hope you had a blast at your staff party yesterday. I hope there is no major snow for anyone this winter fingers crossed

@Austina agreed. It can be hit or miss especially now IMO with all that has transpired over the last few years. If someone gets sick on a cruise it can be miserable and the close quarters do not help. But you are both vaccinated and took all necessary precautions... fingers crossed everyone remains well and good and the trip is a fantastic one

@bling_dream19 happy Caturday Saturday...may it be meowalicious in every single way

@marcy have a terrific weekend and hoping Marty is feeling better with each day

@MamaBee it was so great catching up yesterday and as promised I am telling everyone you say hey and are sending lots of love everyone's way

Hello to everyone else. I hope you had a lovely week and are looking forward to an even better weekend. Sending my love and good wishes your way. Today and every day. XOXO

In honor of Caturday Saturday here's Pepsi who is purring to all to have a meowalous weekend

We are heading out cycling today and expecting a huge storm here tomorrow...whatever your weekend plans enjoy!

Oh I can’t believe I forgot. Tommy’s veterinarian called me last night.
His labs are good. Not purrrrfect but he’s 16.
We finally got his thyroid stabilized and while his kidney function is declining he’s still doing well. Fingers crossed he remains healthy ♥️

Tommy on me kneading (making biscuits lol) when the veterinarian called last night
Gracie Frances in the background taking up every spare bit of real estate on my legs lol

YAHOOO!!!!!!!

Hi NIRDI’s! Happy Hanukkah!

@missy are those your 2 nieces? They are sure growing up. I am with you wishing for peace everywhere this holiday season. Your tree looks great. I got a few shots of our tree tonight with my real camera. I’ll try to get some more tomorrow. Your holiday leggings are great. I don’t think I’d like going on a cruise, but I know a lot of people that love them. I am relieved to hear Tommy ’s results were okay and he is doing well. Woo hoo!

@canuk-gal I hope your holiday party was fun. We went out for dinner tonight and the restaurant was expecting a group of 100 about 2 hours after we arrived. I am sure it was a Christmas party.

@Austina setting on the deck looking at the ocean does sound lovely. Watching the ocean from the beach (the few times I’ve been) has been so calming and peaceful. Enjoy your cruise. Yes, Snoopy is fully recovered and back among the rest of my Snoopy village.

Marty is better but not well yet. We at least got out of the house today.

I agree you with ladies, that house just wasn’t meant to be. We are looking at picking a lot and getting a house built. We decided we will downsize anyway and this way we can design it the way we want. We both hate sliding glass doors and now we won’t have to replace them, just put a regular old door on all the exits. We don’t want a tub in the master bath - use that room elsewhere. I’ll lose my den so one of the spare bedrooms will be my office. And I want a pantry. Other than that, we’ll be good.

I have about 6” knit on the front of my vest. I hope to get it done by Christmas.

Take care.
Marcy

GM ladies and happy Sunday!!

@marcy yes! They are growing so fast. I laugh because when A was born she was tiny and in the lowest percentile for weight and height and predicted to be very short when grown. Meanwhile she now surpasses me for height ( I am only 65.5" but still not short per se) and well yeah. They are growing like weeds lol. Thank you caring about Tommy. I am glad Marty is feeling better and hope he is 100% well soon. I think building a house is a fantastic idea. This way it will be exactly what you need and want. I would LOVE to build a house and it would have HUGE walk in closets, an indoor pool, HUGE garage for Greg's workshop and a huge area for my workout equipment. Dream!! Sweet you are knitting a vest and cannot wait to see it completed. What color?

@canuk-gal thank you so much... Sir Thomas sends all his love and purrrs to you :kiss2:

Thank you @springerspaniel I appreciate your good wishes for dear Tommy. He is such a good boy. Skittish but a love. And when he sits on my lap I melt. If I move at all he generally runs even after being with us since 2009. His beginning in this world was tough...hope you have a wonderful Sunday

@Slickk stay safe from the storm and enjoy a good day

@bling_dream19 happy Sunday

Hey everyone else. We had a wonderful Saturday...cycling, ice cream and furry babies and our good human friends. It was purrrrrrrrfect

Correction I’m 5’ 5.5”. I need that extra half inch lolol

GM girls and happy how did you get here so fast marvelous Monday!

We are running out the door for my appointment with the eye surgeon so just a quick good morning.

We had a peaceful easy day yesterday. I have started reading books again woohoo. I had not realized how bad my vision had been preventing me from reading and it is so nice to be able to enjoy books again! It was joyful reading and listening to classical holiday music yesterday. The fire was on (despite the 50 degree temps lol), the kitties were hanging around us and it was very cozy and just lovely. I have missed reading books.

It rained a lot yesterday (still raining here) but fortunately the winds did not live up to the predictions and they remained calm. But I heard there is flooding on the roads. So we are leaving early to be able to make the appointment on time.

Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend. Leaving you with Pythagorus holding the menorah. This is our cycling tradition in December (sometimes we leave him on the bike for January too). He comes out every year during this holiday season to ride with us on our tandem. So I guess that makes it a triple bike. LOL

Screen Shot 2023-12-11 at 5.49.34 AM.png

Enjoy a marvelous Monday @Slickk @bling_dream19 @canuk-gal @Austina @marcy @MamaBee @mrs-b @springerspaniel @jeaniefish @finerthings @Garnetgirl @Jemi @Daisys and Diamonds and anyone else who is reading. Wishing you a very good day. XOXO

Hello lovelies

I’m glad Marty is feeling better @marcy, but sorry to hear he’s not completely recovered. Whatever he’s got, it’s sounds nasty that it’s lingering so long. Honestly, I think having a house built to your specs is the best way to go, no compromise and you’ll get exactly what you want and need. We didn’t need a house this size, but it was the floor plan that suited us best and we’re happy with it.

That’s the BEST news @missy, I’m so glad that Tommy is doing as well as he can, 16 is a good age, a testament to your love and care. I hope the eye appt went well today and the Dr is pleased with his handiwork. I understand what you mean, when I had my laser surgery, I couldn’t believe the difference waking up and everything not being a blur. Looks like you had fun on your ride on Saturday.

How was the party @canuk-gal ? Hopefully fun.

We had a quiet weekend, the highlight was checking the septic filter  We got a gold star last time the people came out to check it, it was spotless

Actually, that’s not quite true, we met our new neighbours who are moving in behind us. Nice couple, empty nesters with 2 lovely golden retrievers. All we need is for the last house behind L & C to be sold, hopefully to another older couple with no children.

It was so cold last night that the sheer came on to stop the pool from freezing over. It’s lovely out now, L & I just went for a walk to catch up.

I’ve got to take Colin to get his ears syringed tomorrow, no idea where the place is, so that’ll be fun.

:wavey:

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!

A trip to the candy store--was my excitement! And I don't even eat chocolate....well maybe at Christmas. My DH eats it nonstop.......

Chilly and gloomy today. So I suppose candy IS in order!

@missy enjoy your reads!
@MamaBee and @mrs-b hope you and yours are well!
@marcy healing vibes to Marty! My DH is always looking a real estate. Fun for him.
@Austina is your anniversary at Christmas? Nice way to celebrate this year--cruising!

cheers--Sharon

GM girls! Happy terrific Tuesday!

@canuk-gal thank you! Hope your weather is more mild than not and no snow is the forecast today and every day.

@Austina happy soon to be anniversary! My parents anniversary is on Christmas Day and this year is 60 years. I know if we asked them they would say the time has flown by and I bet you feel the same. Yay for new neighbors with dogs. My favorite type of neighbors lol. Good luck to Colin today and thank you for all your kind wishes.

@Slickk I bet you are counting down the days to vacation and I am excited for you

@bling_dream19 what holiday plans do you have?

@marcy I hope Mr Marty is 100% better and all is going smoothly

@MamaBee sending many good wishes your way

@mrs-b the ice cream was so yummy...the one (of many downsides of winter for us) problem with winter is we don't get to cycle as much so we don't get to visit our favorite creamery as often as in the better cycling weather...;(

We had a productive day yesterday. I saw my eye surgeon and all looks good. Went to get my glasses redone (free of charge due to it being less than three months old) so we shall see how I feel with it as I have doing great as is and wearing my -0.50 spheres (from Amazon!) for TV and my readers (+1.00) for reading. Though I actually read a hardcover book without any glasses the other day so if the print isn't tiny I can read without. Then we went to renew our library books, Picked up a few prescription RXs. Went for a nice walk. Visited a new bike shop in our neighborhood. Met the owner who seems great. Greg did a work zoom in between and the day went so fast.

Today is a mostly sunny day temps in the 40s with a stiff breeze so planning on hiking vs cycling today. I cannot believe we are practically mid December. Have a lovely day and be well. XOXO

Leaving you with a photo on our beach...a yearly holiday tradition

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy how is Tommy doing? I am glad you get to see your nieces now and then. They do grow up fast. That is a problem custom building a house, it can get out of hand pretty easy. We did that for this house and had to cut off upgrades at some point. Then, we added more stuff after moving in. How cute to see all those furbabies on your outing. Mmm ice cream. I am glad you got a good report card at the eye doctor. How wonderful to read books again. You don’t know what you’re missing sometimes. Happy anniversary to your parents on Christmas. My grandparents were married on Christmas Eve. Special days for weddings. The tree on the beach looks great.

@Austina I am glad you got what you want with your house. I really like this house but we always figured our next house would be smaller so no point not doing that now (if we do move). That’s great you are winning the lotto with good neighbors. You can’t beat that. Happy anniversary to you and Colin soon.

@canuk-gal do you like any kind of candy? I like chocolate and gum drops, not at the same time. Ha Ha. Marty and your DH would have fun shopping for real estate. It’s kind of like a hardware store - just make a decision. Then again, Marty patiently waits for me in jewelry stores.

Thanks for thinking of Marty. He is better, has most of his energy back but is still coughing at night. I ordered some more severe cough syrup to be delivered for hI’m and couldn’t believe I had to show my ID to get it.

I’ve been working on a new type of video so that took most of my day today. The boss wanted me to split my weekly events up in two videos but didn’t give me clear directions what she wanted. She redid most of them but hopefully after I record my audio tomorrow she will like them.

We had snow overnight with ice underneath. I had a periodontal appointment first thing but did okay venturing out. I got a good report card too, I can go in every 4 months not instead of 3 months. Woo hoo!

Take care.
Marcy

Here’s our tree.

Good morning lovely ladies and happy wonderful Wednesday!

@marcy aww thank you and how nice your grandparents were married on Christmas Eve. You will never forget your anniversary lol when married on such a big holiday right? Ha, I have forgotten our anniversary a few times but to be fair we were married twice in one year, Elopement and then the big wedding. My parents were not happy with us because we had planned the wedding to be held 10 months after our engagement and then finally 7 months after Greg proposed I felt ready and wanted to get married right then So LOL we did. Anyway happy memories. Oh no to snow with ice underneath. Be safe. Gorgeous tree. And woohoo for your A plus periodontal appointment and now your decrease in frequency of seeing the perio. Sweet! I am sure your boss will love your videos. And glad Marty is feeling better and hopefully the cough will be completely gone soon.

Hello everyone else. We had a good day yesterday despite me somehow getting a HUGE blister on the side of my heel. What a weird place to get a blister and Greg had to pop it twice. Once in the morning and once in the evening and I have a feeling he's going to have to pop it again cause it is hurting still/again. Weird. No clue how I got it either. Cause I woke up with it yesterday. How can I get a blister in my sleep lol. Only me. Somehow I managed to hike even with the discomfort. Today is chilly so another hike for us. December is speeding by. Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday sweet friends. XOXO

Leaving you with this magificent Buck. There were so many deer yesterday. I mean dozens. I have never seen so many at once. It was wow

Screen Shot 2023-12-13 at 5.59.09 AM.png

And yup, I was (unfortunately) right. Third pop of that darn blister just now. And it still hurts. This is the biggest and most resistant blister I ever experienced. And I never had a blister on the side of my heel. What a weird spot :rodent:

Hello lovelies

Wow the tree on the beach looks lovely @missy. There are areas along the roads around here where people put up trees, then it’s someone else’s problem to get rid of them! Only you , maybe you were running in your sleep. I’ve never heard of anyone getting a blister there, you certainly are unique. In all seriousness, I hope it doesn’t cause you too many problems. Great shot of the deer, it’s lovely seeing wildlife around, hopefully that means there’s enough food for them.

Your tree looks lovely @marcy, and looks at all those presents! We only have one under our tree, for the little boy next door  Absolutely to not settling on your next home, you should get what you really want and what will work for you. Yuck to snow and ice, be extra careful out there. Sorry to hear Marty isn’t completely well, it always seems to be the cough that lingers the longest.

After worrying about how we were going to get to Colin’s appt yesterday, when I looked at Google maps, it came up with yet another route, which proved to be very simple and avoided the highway. The audiologist managed to clear his ears, and we were in and out pretty quickly. We stopped off on the way home and a few shops, including World Market as they have sugar free Heinz Baked Beans. The ranch beans here are horrible and full of sugar.

Went out this morning to get some cash, collect Colin’s prescription and get my hair trimmed. It’s cold and rainy here, so there’s a hearty cottage pie in the oven for dinner.

Solar people are coming tomorrow to install some more panels on the roof. This week is galloping by!

:wavey:

Good morning girls! Happy terrific Thursday!

@Austina thank you. And LOL. Maybe.
Yes I do worry about all the wildlife and if they have enough food to get them through what is predicted to be a harsh winter here. Glad Colin got his ears cleared and getting there proved easier than initially thought. Hair cut. OMG I need one desperately. Thanks for reminding me. Glad you got that all done and good for you accomplishing all you did yesterday. I hope the dinner was hearty and warming. Good luck with the solar panel installation today.

@Slickk hope the day goes smoothly and yay the weekend is almost here. Looks like a pretty sweet weather weekend til Sunday later. Let's hope the rain holds off on Sunday til evening. But at least we have two nice days coming up.

@bling_dream19 happy holiday season sweet friend. Hope life is treating you well

@mrs-b you are such a dear. My heart and all my good wishes go out to you and your loved ones. Sending you so many hugs and well wishes. May you feel better very very soon.

Speaking of feeling better... @marcy I hope Mr Marty is on the way to feeling all better and you are having a good week too.

@canuk-gal hope work is going smoothly and life is treating you sweetly.

Hi everyone else. Hope all is well.

So our day was quite action packed yesterday. NEVER a dull moment. Greg is going to have to get knee replacement surgery on his other knee sooner rather than later. I hope the surgeon can fit him in very soon. He is in a lot of pain. Seeing the surgeon at HSS December 21st and hoping for the best.

December is shaping up to be a very busy rest of the month with many medical appointments and procedures. I kid you not. I was so hoping for a respite but it is not to be. And Greg also needs another medical procedure which requires a whole host of tests (EKG, labs, medical evaluation etc) and that surgical procedure is scheduled for Dec 29th. And we have so many appointments in between. Cannot make this stuff up. My poor DH. But as always he takes it in stride. I am the one who is nervous. About all of his upcoming procedures and I so hope we can get his knee surgery done this winter. Just unsure of the surgeon's schedule and they are busy at HSS so no expectations on my part. Just hoping it all works out. I hate seeing my husband in pain.

OK so my update. Never boring. As I wrote above. That is the truth.
Interesting thing about my blister. One appeared on my gums yesterday too. Like all of a sudden it appeared. Right there on my gums. Not a canker sore. It was the weirdest thing and the presentation threw me.

So I eventually decided to call my periodontist (not right away as I was not sure what I wanted to do...but when we were hiking in the woods yesterday afternoon all of a sudden I got this urge to call him about it). He was in surgery when I called but the staff asked me to email them a photo. I took a selfie in the woods lol and it wasn't easy. It was cold and I had to take my gloves off and well it isn't easy photographing your gums. Try it and see  Anyway they called me immediately after receiving the photo and said they would show it to him when he was out of surgery.

The periodontist called me after his surgery session. He told me he thought it looked auto immune and combined with the blister on the side of my heel which he didn't feel was coincidental. That was my thought too. Not coincidental. Plus the blister was in weird place on my foot.

Unfortunately (or fortunately as the case may be) the gum blister had disappeared by the time he called. So he couldn't take a sample to diagnose definitively. He did share his thoughts with me about what it could be. And let's just say I hope very much it isn't that. But we shall see and time will tell.

In the meantime Greg ended up popping the blister on my foot 9!!!!! times. And this morning I think it's finally dissipating. However, yesterday, I did schedule an appointment with my podiatrist for tomorrow. He is fully booked and they were squeezing me in but now that it looks like it is going to dissipate finally I am going to cancel. I do not want to take up a slot when he is super booked as I do not see the need. Not that I wouldn't mind getting his thoughts about what the periodontist said. But I do not think it is an emergency. And I have an appointment with my nephrologist tomorrow morning too so not having to see th podiatrist makes it a less hectic morning. Tomorrow is Friday and no one wants to stay late if you kwim.

Whew, sorry for the book. And if you got this far thank you. Greg is off doing labs work right now for his procedure December 29th and then we might just run errands. It is very cold here and I also do not want to aggravate his knee. Have a great day girls. Be well. And enjoy. XOXO
