Now I really did it :((

Good morning girls! Happy wonderful Wednesday!

@canuk-gal that doesn't sound ironic to me truthfully...people who are sensitive and caring are greatly affected by adverse events. I have been feeling the heaviness on my heart and soul for the past 5 weeks. I wouldn't have it any other way. It's when we are not affected there is something terribly wrong with us IMO. Thank you for asking about my family..they are doing well. Dad is being released Sunday so that is something we are looking forward to. Hope all is well with your lovely family and sending you many good wishes

@bling_dream19 happy wonderful Wednesday

@Slickk hope your days are going well and you are enjoying the beautiful weather while it lasts

@Austina hope you had an easy trip back home

Hello to everyone else reading. Yesterday Greg and I walked many many miles on one of our favorite wide never-ending beaches and it was wonderful. The weather sunny, crisp and cool. I had my regular Zoom call with my girlfriends last night and it lasted 4.5 hours LOL. The time flies when we are chatting. It is precious having such good friends who get me and who I get. I treasure it and take nothing for granted. Now more than ever I feel this way. Friends who stand beside me through good and bad. OK enough with the mush. I hope you enjoy the photos I took yesterday as we were walking on the beach.

I know the blues look different but no color alteration has been done to any of these photos. It was, IRL, breathtaking

Today, tomorrow and Friday are busy days. I will try dropping in to say hey however. Hope you enjoy a lovely day. Be well. XOXO

Hello lovelies

We made it back yesterday, but not without incident. We got up at 4am, and our driver arrived early, which was no biggie. Reading up on the airport it said it could take 45 mins to get to the gate, so we thought we better get there early just in case. As it was, with no traffic and straight through the TSA line, we were at the gate in no time. We boarded and were ready to leave early, so pushed back from the gate and sat. Then the announcement came that there was something wrong with the plane and we‘d be returning to the gate. An engineer came on board, did whatever he had to do, and then after filling in the paperwork, we were off. We made up some of the time, so didn’t arrive too late. Our driver was waiting in the cellphone lot for me to text. He arrived in a couple of minutes, leapt out of his car and started chasing after a woman who’d just pulled in. Apparently, she was driving so erratically, that she nearly ran over and woman with a baby crossing the road, and rammed in to him! The rest of the journey home was thankfully, ueventful!

Sending positive thoughts for a swift and successful surgery on your other eye tomorrow @missy, and an even swifter recovery and return to good vision. What great news that your Dad will be going home at the weekend, hopefully this means he’s steady on his feet and is in good health. Your Mum must be thrilled at getting him home after all this time. Sadly the madness in the world continues, and it’s horrifying that there are people with no understanding of the situation, who are supporting the evil. 2 young women were interviewed on the BBC, who were protesting and supporting Hammas, and when asked, they had absolutely no clue what was actually happenIng.

I’m sorry world events are affecting you so deeply @canuk-gal. It’s hard to see such atrocities going on in the the world today, and even more disturbing that there are people protesting and supporting the terrorists.

I’m glad to hear that you’re able to knit again @marcy. It sounds as though the house isn’t quite the perfect fit for you, don’t settle, because the perfect house is out there, you just haven’t found it yet.

We were exhausted yesterday when we got home, we ate early and went to bed early.

We’re going out to lunch with our lovely Colombian neighbours today, it’s coolish, but bright.

:wavey:

HI:

@Austina I hope your ankle is OK. I had a foot injury before going to Vegas (sustained while doing laundry--don't ask...) and my foot was so painful for the duration of our visit. Glad you got home safely.

@missy much success to you tomorrow! Glad your Dad is coming home!!! Healing vibes across the miles!

@marcy enjoy your company!

Chilly and low cloud today--no flurries yet but it looks like will. Good day to do my annual certifications. I had a good session with my counsellor yesterday.

Be safe and well folks!

cheers--Sharon

Hello lovelies, happy FriYay

@missy, hoping everything went well yesterday, and you’re home and recovering well.

Thanks @canuk-gal, I can still feel a little soreness in my foot, but it’s fine. Glad you had a good session with your counsellor.

Oy, our poor friends. They got an email from their solicitor saying that vile, obnoxious woman who bought their house is going to sue them for 10,000 because the heating system is supposedly dangerous. They had it inspected and have documentation that everything was fine on 27th July (2023). She’s saying she’s been told it hadn’t been serviced for years and there are live wires everywhere, (this supposedly from the same person who certified A OK in July). As you can imagine, they’re so upset, she screwed them on the price, didn’t want a survey done prior to signing the contract (which EVERYONE does for exactly this scenario) and now she’s trying to screw more money out of them. They really don’t need this after all the stress they’ve had late. T has been ill for 3-4 weeks with what sounds like RSV, her daughter and grandson are both really ill ATM too, and they had the accident a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately, J’s friend is a barrister and he doesn’t think this woman has a leg to stand on.

Weather here is 72 today and sunny.

:wavey:

GM girls and happy Caturday Saturday. Just a quick good morning. Thinking of you and hoping all is well.

@Austina TYSM and enjoy your gorgeous weather.. So sorry about your friends ordeal. I have a complication due to a corneal abrasion and right now it is one day at a time. Have a lovely weekend

@canuk-gal Thank you... Tomorrow he will be home. Very happy about that

@Slickk happy weekend

@bling_dream19 Enjoy a wonderful weekend

@springerspaniel our tree below, enjoy a fun weekend

Hey everyone else. Enjoy a sweet weekend XOXO

We had a nice walk yesterday as it was super mild temps and beautiful out. The temps have now plunged for the weekend so we shall bundle up...stay cozy and warm all

Happy Sunday lovely ladies. Another brisk day here in the NE at the shore.

Yesterday was a good day as we ran errands and crossed some to do things off our list.
The weekend before Thanksgiving. How did it get here so fast?

@Slickk @bling_dream19 @marcy @Austina @canuk-gal @springerspaniel @mrs-b and all my other friends reading...
Enjoy a terrific Sunday...XOXO

Leaving you with a moody sky.

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!

@missy how are you healing? How is your Dad getting home? We have been enjoying fine weather--and could have been cycling. But walking instead as the winds have been picking up in the afternoon.

@marcy I have been on the lookout for Snoopy snow globes but have seen any yet. I did see a few other snow globes yesterday but if I am to get another one it has to be Snoopy. LOL

@Austina did you do any shopping in Vegas? Sky's the limit there! Sorry your hotel wasn't up to your standards. We always stay at the Wynn and it is always great.

Not much going on today.

cheers--Sharon

Hello lovelies

Thanks for the tip @canuk-gal, we stayed at the Palazzo last time which was very nice, Colin just thought it’d be more convenient staying where Barry was performing - lesson learned! No, I didn’t buy anything whilst we were there, just took a carry on for the weekend and wasn’t really looking for anything.

How’re things with you @marcy, have you had anymore thoughts on moving? Hopefully Marty will get back safely so you can spend TG together.

Ugh @missy, I hope your eye is healing up and your vision is improving daily. Did your Dad get home safely? Hopefully now he’s home, he’ll continue to do well.

We were invited to a neighbours “Drinks on the Driveway“ on Saturday evening. Met new people and they hosts were a lovely couple. We walked round and ended up gatecrashing a kid‘s party on the way, before we got to the right house :lol:

I put our tree up yesterday because if I didn’t, it’d be another year when we were treeless. I think 2017/18 was the last time I put our tree up.

We’re having more solar panels installed, and were expecting them tomorrow, but the electrician turned up today and said the panels will be installed tomorrow - thanks for letting us know!

:wavey:

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!

@Austina LOL I though about putting up the tree as well; I did it earlier than usual last year; just feeling like I need the lights. I wonder if @missy even took hers down! LOL I still have my pumpkins!!!! Sounds like you are having fun meeting new people. That's great.

Speaking of @missy how are your eyeballs????

@marcy what's new?

Keep safe and well folks!

cheers--Sharon

Good morning lovely ladies and happy terrific Tuesday

@canuk-gal yes dad is home and happy yay. Just in time for our Thanksgiving holiday. LOL yes we took it down in August hahaha. But it is going up soon :) But who says it cannot be up all year round right?

@Austina yes he is home and happy and long may that last. Glad you had a lovely time with the neighbors. Good luck with your solar panel installation

@Slickk happy pre pre Thanksgiving..hope you have a fab time with the family

@bling_dream19 hope you are having a peaceful holiday week and hope you enjoy a very happy Thanksgiving Day and weekend

Hey everyone else. Hope all is well. Today later afternoon I have an appointment I have been waiting to have for 9 months and Greg has an early AM procedure. And in between not sure what we will do. Very chilly outside and getting some rain later. I cannot believe it is the end of November. Wow. Enjoy a happy holiday week to those who celebrate. Be well

Love the autumn light

Hello lovelies

I hope everything went well with Greg’s procedure today @missy, and that your long awaited appt. went well.

The solar panel install didn’t happen, we got up early, but it was howling, and when the guy arrived, Colin told him we weren’t comfortable with him being up on the roof. He agreed and said they’d reschedule.

We had a long FT session with our friends today. They’re feeling a bit calmer because they’ve spoken to the boiler guy, and he confirmed (much as I suspected) that he’s had no contact with their buyer, and has certainly not told them that the boiler hasn’t been serviced for years. He confirmed that when he did the inspection in July, everything was in full working order. I had a feeling they were going to be trouble so I mentioned to T that I thought it’d be a good idea to take photos of each room before they left the house. Turns out to be a good thing because these people are claiming there were loose electrical wires everywhere, which is ludicrous. Their friend (former Barrister and Judge) is visiting them tomorrow, so will hopefully be able to advise them how to proceed. Personally, I hope he tells them not to respond to their ridiculous demands.

We didn’t end up doing anything today, it’s bright and sunny, but cold, so a good day to stay indoors.

Hope all the lovely NIRDIs are doing well.

:wavey:

GM lovely ladies and happy pre Thanksgiving!

@Austina good call delaying the roof job. Not worth the risk. It feels as if winter is here too. While the temps were in the 50s all day yesterday it was, IMO, blustery and felt very winter like. With a chilly rain. Drs appointment went well thanks for asking. And we won't find out the results from Greg's procedure til next week. Glad you had a good FT with your friends and things are working out for them.

We had a busy day yesterday and it went well. We went to the library in between appointments and I checked out 10 books. First time I checked out library books in years. Many years. I'm ready to start reading again fingers crossed. If anyone has books to recommend please do. I am looking for light reading right now to get back into it.

Today is another chilly windy day so not sure what we are doing.

Good morning @Slickk @bling_dream19 @canuk-gal @marcy @Tekate @CJ2008 @rainwood and everyone else. Enjoy a lovely Thanksgiving if you celebrate. Be well. While all is not right in the world there is still a lot to be thankful for and I am thankful for my friends who stood by my side during this tumultuous time and who continue to do so. I am always here for you too. XOXO

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got snow--as predicted. It is warm out though, so I know it won't last. I went to the Dermatologist today--and OUCH (as usual). Saw my old colleague who works there--was great to see her!

So when I am in that part of town--I always do the rounds. LOL. Went to my favorite jewellers and they cleaned and polished my Tiffany ring! I saw some lovely diamond studs..... .76 each and I thought they'd be too big BUT NOPE!!!! Great size actually!!!! LOL. But I kept my wallet in my purse.....but who knows for how long! Speaking of purses, I want a new one. Haven't bought a bag in ages!!!!

I also went to my favorite furniture shop/interior design shop--and I could have had everything in the store!!!!!! Got some take out.

That's about it. Agreed to work tomorrow afternoon. Why oh why???? LOL

cheers--Sharon

Good morning lovely ladies and happy thanksgiving to all who celebrate

Happy Thanksgiving to NIRDI’s everywhere (if you celebrate)

@missy I hope your vision is coming along well and your eyes are recovering from your surgeries. And I hope Greg is doing well after his procedure. I totally am enjoying all of your wonderful pictures and I am so glad you guys get out no matter what the weather. I am so glad to hear your dad is home and happy. That is awesome. I hope he continues to get stronger. I think having the tree up all year is fine. A restaurant in town - sadly gone now - left their’s up all year but decorations on it changed throughout the year according to holidays or seasons. How fun to check out some library books. I went kicking and screaming into electronic books, but there is still something magical about a book.

@Austina I hope you are recovering from your fall. That is so scary. I am glad you enjoyed your trip and the still got home almost on time but more importantly arrived safely. Marty flew home yesterday (early flights) and breezed through everything. Not bad for the day before Thanksgiving. His flight to here was delayed about 20 minutes but it still arrived on time. How awful and stressful for your friends on the issue with selling their house. I hope it gets thrown out of court. Our house hunting continues in spite of both of us saying houses and interest rates are too high. Who knows? Drinks on the Driveway sounds like a fun time and too funny you went to a kids party first.

@Canuck-gal I had to look up the nuts and bolts recipe, it seems similar to the Chex mix snack that I totally love. You should try puppy chow too. I’ll eat that until I’m sick. Which is why I don’t make it. I hope your snow is gone by now. Sorry the dermatologist appointment an “ouch” session. I hope you are doing better with that now. Those diamond studs sound pretty. The white stuff is descending upon us starting this afternoon. We had some snow early Friday morning - going completely sideways - which fascinated my SIL. She lived in Denver for awhile, I guess she forgot about the “what wind” we have in Wyoming. She does like popcorn. I hope you find some Snoopy snow globes. I haven’t got my Snoopy village out yet, but it’s coming out soon. I’ll get a picture for you. I ordered the two new Snoopy decorations from Lenox this year.

Not much new with me. I’ve been working my 8 or so hours a day and then keeping my sister-in-law company and somewhat entertained. We chased around and this past weekend to show Chris the houses we are looking at. I met some friends from a job I worked at over 25 years ago. I have about 12 inches knit on the back of my vest. My thumb joint is only slightly achy from it, but that is great news. I’m stopping after an hour or two so I don’t flare it up again.

Take care.
Marcy

Hello lovelies

Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating.

Yikes to snow @canuk-gal, glad it’s not hanging around though. It’s decidedly cool here too, but thankfully not cold enough for snow. Sorry the trip to the Derm was ouchy, but nice to catch up with a former colleague. Window shopping is great, all the fun without the expense.

I’m glad your Dr appt went well @missy, and everything crossed for great results for Greg. I’ve discovered that we have a library here in DS, not sure where it is, but I’m not in need of any books at the moment, but might give it visit if I do. I don’t think you’d like any of the books I’d like, probably way too gory for you :lol:

So glad Marty made it home ok @marcy, airports are often quiet this close to holidays. Yikes to snow, I hope it doesn’t settle and cause any problems. So the hunt for the house continues, you’ll know when the right one comes along. That’s good news that you’re able to knit again, and are stopping before it becomes an issue.

We went and had our Covid booster yesterday and did our food shopping. It’s pretty cold today, so we’re staying inside and keeping warm.

How on earth is it Friday again tomorrow, the weeks are just whizzing by?

:wavey:

GM girls and happy FriYAY!

@marcy thank you and I hope you are enjoying your time with Marty's sister. I know you are missing Marty and hope he is home soon. LOL yes. I do not love electronic books though I see its advantages. Greg enjoys reading on his iPad (kindle) but not me. I need a tangible book to hold and not an abstract one. I like the whole experience of turning the pages and holding the book and well you know. All that jazz. I generally go kicking and screaming into new technology. I did not get a computer til 2006 or a phone til 2002 and that was against my will. LOL. Of course now, I cannot live without them. See how that works? And I am fairly sure all this technology gave me ADD. Not formally diagnosed but that is my layperson's diagnosis. I feel I need constant mental stimulation now. Oh well. It has some advantages as I am a pretty good multitasker and that allows me to help others and just get a lot done overall. Anyway happy FriYAY and have a good weekend sweet Marcy

@Austina thank you for your well wishes. And haha you are right. I do not like gory at all. That and anything in it where animals are hurt. Nope. Which Covid booster did you get? Stay warm and comfy cozy and have a good weekend

@bling_dream19 happy Thanksgiving holiday..hope you are having a wonderful time

@Slickk hope you are enjoying your family and a nice respite from work

Yesterday was our first cycling day since my surgeries. I was apprehensive but the surgeon said it was OK to cycle. A cataract FB group I belong to however had different info and most of their surgeons said to wait a month. But given my surgeon's expertise and experience I decided to go for it but we went slower than usual and only did half our daily cycling mileage. I didn't want to take any chances. It was a good day. Unfortunately it is chillier today (not as sunny) so we shall take a walk instead today. I still haven't started lifting weights again. My surgeon said a week after surgery is fine to resume but that feels too soon to me so I am waiting at least a few weeks to maybe a month. I know I will be out of shape at that point with lifting but I do not want to take any risks.

Leaving you with some photos of our day yesterday. Enjoy a friday filled with YAY my sweet friends

May your friYAY go swimmingly :)

Hello lovelies

Happy FriYay

We were offered Pfizer or Moderna @missy, and opted for Pfizer as that’s what we had before. My arm has been a bit sore, but otherwise OK. I’m like you, I don’t like reading books on the Kindle app., I prefer to hold a book in my hand. I like crime mysteries, which often tend to be a bit gory, especially Patricia Cornwell, as her main character, Kay Scarpetta, is a forensic pathologist. I also like biographies, (old Hollywood movie stars) as they’ve often had really difficult lives despite the perceived glamour. I’m sure your specialist knows what he’s talking about, and I’m glad you’re able to ride again. Yes, another cold day here, but very bright and sunny. Colin’s out cutting the lawn, I’ve been busy cleaning.

Not much else going on with us, on the countdown to our trip now, so been trying on clothes that I’m planning to take (to make sure I can still squeeze in to them :oops2:)

Have a great weekend lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big bright blue sky--but chilly at 4c; yet warm for this time of the year. I did not get out of my lounge wear today--mused about the mall today and to get take out---but with Black Friday I thought the better of it. I really hate crowds, most of whom are at present coughing and sneezing. I get enough of that at work. Unfortunately I have very busy weekend--when I just really want to lay about. But part of it is fun--my dear friend is taking me for a BD lunch! Then Sunday brunch and champagne!

Unlike @Austina I could not see any point dusting or cleaning. LOL Did some online window shopping instead!!

@missy I put up the Christmas tree--but did not decorate it, yet. It is really the lights I crave. When we first moved here, I not have the energy to decorate the house or tree. The simpler the better; but of course I missed the handmade decorations my DS made in grade school; and others from our travels, so I have gone back to some days of yore. My favorite Candy Cane plug in broke last year, so I'll have to venture to WM to get another.

@marcy glad your DH got home safe and sound. Busy weekend to travel!!!

cheers--Sharon

GM girls and happy Caturday Saturday!

@Austina glad you got the vaccine and hope it keeps you protected. I am so not motivated to clean lol. Greg is the busy bee with gardening and enjoys it. When I get the green light I guess I will vacuum. I mean I used to vacuum almost daily and now it's been weeks. Cat hair is accumulating I have to admit.

@canuk-gal I am with you. The lights make the tree. Ours might go up by December. We shall see. Greg usually puts it up on Christmas eve but perhaps sooner this year. Though we just took it down haha. Speaking of online shopping I did some myself. I ordered a star of david and a winter vest. We did some damage shopping the other day and I ended up with a few more coats and vests lol. Coats just autocorrected to cats. Fitting this Caturday Saturday

@Slickk enjoy a lovely weekend

@bling_dream19 happy weekend

Hello everyone else. We had a nice long walk yesterday and believe it or not we are both sore today. Not sure how that happened lol. Enjoy a sweet weekend. Filled with joy, contentment and peace.

Hello lovelies

Lovely photos of the wildlife @missy, although that poor foxy looks a little thin, I hope it’s finding enough food. The deer looks nice and healthy though. Glad you‘re helping the economy and doing your bit to boost sales :mrgreen: It’s almost coat weather here, although not cold enough for the heating to kick in. Not much to do in the garden here, grass (what’s left of it) is hibernating now, and the grasses are taking care of themselves. I hope your appt and the blood work went ok, and they didn’t drain your whole arm!

Honestly, with just us, the house doesn’t really get that dirty, but I like to keep on top of things, so it’s never a big chore.

We were going to go out on Saturday, but it was raining and windy, so we decided to go out yesterday instead. L (our neighbour) sent me a message asking if it was OK to come and collect the package I took in for them while they were away, and also to return some eggs she borrowed from me. When she called round yesterday morning, she said she was going to the Outlets at San Marcos, and would I like to go with her. So Colin stayed home and L and I hit the shops, and then had lunch on the way home. We had a great time, I didn’t buy much, just a picture for the spare bedroom, and some initial tree ornaments for L, C and their little boy K.

Another cold day today, perfect for staying in and keep warm.

Stay safe lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the most fun BD ever--went to Safeway!!!! LOL But MHC was bare--so there we went. I work this week so it needed doing today. And I am working on work.

@missy what coats/vests did you get? I wore my (pediatric LOL) NF down puffer the other day--and got non stop compliments. But also got into discussions about HOW many COATS etc we need in this environment!!! All of our conversations (with different people) were exactly the same. I've got 20 coats if I have two. And prolly 5 vests. I wore my Mom's fauz fur vest today that is so cozy and very retro. So stylin that my Mom was. I am on the hunt for a new bag. And poinsettias!!! (still have three pumpkins LOL)

@Austina our grass is still green here which is amazing. It is usually covered with snow, so we don't see it. But has been very mild here. But the mountains are very white!!!!! How is your son/family? I have no wish to intrude but think about your feeling in this regard.

@marcy how is the company/gang?

cheers--Sharon

Happy belated birthday @canuk-gal, did the bling fairy bring anything for you?

No change on the brat front :lol:

Hi NIRDI’s!

@Austina I agree, when the house is right, we’ll know it. Marty keeps sending me links but none peak my interest. The weeks are whizzing by all right. I did get out a few of my Snoopy village pieces tonight. We ended up with 7” of snow with lots of ice underneath. Sorry it got cold there too. How is your ankle doing? I am almost done with the back of my vest. I knit quite a bit this weekend. I’ll have to download a book by that author you like. Sounds like the genre I’d like. Have a fun trip.

@missy I agree all these electronics have changed us, instant access to everything. Like I needed help with my lack of patience. Ha Ha. Books are special though, I am glad you still enjoy them. I am glad you got to ride a while and hope you recover will from your surgeries. I know it’s a fine line between what feels right and what the doctor’s say. I lifted before they said I could with my wrist, but I was cautious. I hope your appointments and tests went well.

@canuk-gal Happy Birthday! I avoided Black Friday as well. I am with you on Christmas lights. I can’t wait to get our tree up. I dug out a few pieces of my Snoopy village tonight. Will get some more out of the basement tomorrow. I had to hear your candy cane plus broke, it sounds cute. I hope you can get another one. I am so glad your mom’s coat kept you warm and cozy. Have fun shopping for a new bag and poinsettas. My dad always bought a bunch of them and took them around to family and friends. I should pick up one for the cemetery. Company is okay most of the time. It’ll be better when Marty is here to help entertain her. He gets back Wednesday and hopefully won’t travel again until next year. She’s here through New Years. She is helping with errands and stuff around the house.

I had a busy weekend. I got my article for the paper submitted and made up the club newsletter. I worked a bit and watched the snow pile up outside. It was super icy under the snow so we stayed home. My sister-in-law took Marty to the airport in her Jeep. My car is fine in snow and on ice, but it’s the other cars I worry about.

I got my dishwasher installed today. The first one they brought was dented and bent on the top and wouldn’t close. Grr. But they came back with another one in the afternoon and it works. It is similar to what I had, the good news is the top extra shelf still works with our tall cups. The bad news is the bottom try doesn’t adjust widths so you can put wider things in that slot. I’m just glad to have a dishwasher back.

Take care.
Marcy

Good morning lovely ladies! Happy terrific Tuesday!

@canuk-gal wishing you a very happy belated birthday...so sorry I missed it. Time is flying and so much is happening. Sending all my love and best wishes for a very happy healthy birthday week, month, year. I got coats and vests from Columbia sportswear. Sweet deals and they are comfy cozy and have this reflective lining that is supposed to keep one warm. So far so good. I am enjoying them. I got three vests-navy, rose and blue-green and one coat navy. Blue is my favorite color so I tend to buy everything I can in blue. And I hear you. I must have dozens and dozens of coats. We went to NY this weekend and I got some more of my jackets/coats and Jewelry. My black opal is back with me. Yay. Hope you have a most splendid birthday week sweet friend.

@Austina Haha thank you. Glad you did your part too shopping with your neighbor friend. Yes I only did one drs labs though I have two more to go. I could have done them at that appointment but decided I did not want to give that much blood at once. My ferritin is low so no desire to crash it further if you kwim. Happy holiday season.

@marcy yay! So glad you finally got the dishwasher. That was quick for replacement too. You had a busy productive weekend. Those are the best. As always thanks for your good wishes and support. Much appreciated during these challenging times.

@bling_dream19 good morning

@Slickk hope your week is going well

Hey everyone else. Hope all is well. We had a good walk yesterday after the labs and dr appointments. It is a crisp time of year and leaves are still falling all around us. It definitely feels like holiday season. Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday. XOXO

I cannot get enough of the seals here. So sweet

:kiss2: I never get tired of seeing your beautiful opal @missy, and I’m not usually a fan of opal, but yours is just spectacular. So glad they left you with one armful of blood. I hope you can get your ferritin levels up, have they suggested anything? I gave away so many down coats before we came here, thank goodness I did keep one, but I honestly don’t think I’ll need it. If it gets that cold, we’ll be staying in. How’s your Dad getting on at home?

That’s what you call good service @marcy, not the delivering the damaged dishwasher, but they were able to get you a replacement on the same day. I often wonder what we used to do before we had dishwashers! I can still feel a niggle in my foot at times, Colin suggested getting it x-rayed, but honestly, if I did break anything, it’s already started to heal, so no point now. You’re really cracking on with the knitting, it’ll be done in no time. Yikes to snow and ice, stay in and safe.

We had our 6 monthly dental check ups today, and tomorrow the car goes in for its first service. We’re thinking of going out to lunch afterwards.

Sunny, bright and cold today.

:wavey:

Hi NIRDI’S!

@missy your opal is so pretty. I am glad you got it and some other stuff from your place in NY. Those seals are so cute. They look cold though. Or am I projecting?

@Austina that’s good you kept at least one down coat. I reach for mine often. Hopefully your ankle is fine, and you’re right if anything is broken it is already healing. I am glad I was able to get a new dishwasher in less than two weeks. It doens’t seem possible you’ve had your new car that long. Have a nice day out.

Hi @Daisys and Diamonds I hope you are doing well.

Not much new here. Our snow is not melting, it’s still really icy out there. I got my Snoopy village out and put up tonight. I did drop one Snoopy and broke off his feet. Marty has a glue task when he gets home tomorrow.

Take care.
Marcy
