Now I really did it :((

@bling_dream19 how was the rest of your weekend? Did you make good progress re organization? I have not yet started. Procrastination is my middle (and first and last at times) name. :wink2:

@Niffler75 lol I am such a scatter brain at times. I got you confused with the Niffler who posted the OWD/CVB ring. Oy and LOL. But I figured it out.:wall: Finally.
I was like hey she was holding out on us.

Speaking of holding out on us hello @Mamabean more photos? For us? Pretty please.:halo:

Haha @missy! I overslept this morning because I set the alarm for 5:30 PM instead of 5:30 AM! I had to drive David to work an hour round trip in my pajamas! Haha
I have my heart ring coming today from David..It‘s a stacker band...I’ll take photos of it with Summer!

Hello lovelies

I love your smoketrine @Niffler75, I think both citrine and smokey quartz are very underrated stones. Well done on getting on with the painting, we’ve got lots to do this year too.

I think your temps are similar to ours ATM @missy, perfect walking weather. You’ve been very busy already getting your laundry done, and then exercising, you’re so disciplined. Good news that Greg is progressing so well, he’ll be seeing the surgeon again soon won’t he?

Hopefully the affiliation will help Marty’s gym @marcy, and bring in new clients. I’m not particularly bothered about a gym being ‘fancy’ as long as it’s clean and the equipment is all working. We call your biscuits, scones and have them with cream and jam :lickout:

I think one of my legs weighs 105lbs @Jimmianne . I don’t think I could cope with a weighted blanket, I’m always throwing the covers off, even in winter, it’s hard work being hot stuff  Kim’s Mum had microblading on her eyebrows, and it looks quite natural.

Loving the photos @Mamabean, have you got used to the size yet? Oooo goody, can’t wait to see your heart ring later.

I hope the weather is a bit more comfortable @Daisys and Diamonds, I hate humidity, it turns my hair in to a frizz ball.

Hi @sarahb, how’re things with you?

Glad you had a good weekend @AV_ sounds like you’ve got plenty to keep you busy this week!

So, I Skyped with Shirley for 3 hours yesterday, and she barely mentioned the baby, other than to say that he cries a lot, and she thought he wouldn’t be crying so much now. He’s less than 2 weeks old :( It’s so sad, because I know in normal circumstances, she’d be so thrilled to have a grandchild living with her. It’s coming up to the anniversary of Bob’s death, and she hasn’t mentioned him in a long time either.

We had a fairly lazy weekend, went to the gym this morning, and have been to the driving range this afternoon. One of the pros walked by, and said I had really good posture and a good swing  We’d already decided that we’d book a lesson next week, so after we finished, we went a booked with him. Great tactics eh?

Hope you’re all having a good start to the week. :wavey:

@Austina It's listed as smoketrine on the certificate! I think the Citrine and smoky quartz combo is quite unusual.

@missy I am in the kitchen handling sharp knives and I am in hysterics. Now I have the Addams Family tune going round in my head! :lol-2: I have found my tribe! x

As a plus I look like her (or did when I was younger) and haha yes. Welcome home @Niffler75 ❤️

Photo 4 years ago I think. Believe me if I could find earlier photos. I’m Morticia like. :eek2:

It’s here! I posted it in the under 1 carat thread. I’ll post it here too!

I have to run out to get my prescription but will be back to chat later!

You always look pretty @missy! No resemblance to Morticia that I can see! I loved that show btw

@marcy I think he stresses this but anyway, it's not about the weight loss, it's about building muscle. My husband has been able to ward off a knee replacement for years because of strength building in his leg.

@Niffler75 when my new band was coming from ID I tracked it a bit on the app for Fedex but my husband had been at the store and I saw him pull in so I went to say HI! and the Fedex lady was having him sign! it was 11:30 a.m. I was delighted, I was sure it would take days.. Gosh your new ring is superb! beautiful, love it! xoxo

@marcy Autumn Marie :) sleeps better in my house than her own because we keep her room warm because the baby has no blanket, no lovie, no nothing, a pacifier though. According to my son, SIDS has declined markedly since they removed all items from the cribs (my kids learned to pull themselves up on bumper pads) I'm all for safety though. So perhaps NN heard thru the grapevine she was going to let go! better to quit (maybe she had a new job) I sincerely hope your job is less stressful now Marcy.. I really do. xooxoxo

@Mamabean Lordy your ring looks perfect with the wide band.. I love it!!! Yes on the moon suit! Autumn and my bestie Kath's granddaughter and grandson all had them her granddaughter is 2 and she still is in it.. not Autie, she figured out out to get her arm out OR perhaps my son and DIL got lazy, I seem to remember hearing that she could get out of it, I hated the thing.. Good for you on the holey blanket, my son had for months a thingy on Autie's ankle that gave my son updates on her breathing, heart rate and God knows what else, I forget, but they stopped that too, first Autie is a big baby, Budhha baby, and she's long and sometimes she sticks her legs out of the crib, at least my crib here. It's a dangerous world for a baby I think when your new Grandson comes BOLO on new gear is all I can say! xxxxxoooooxoxoxo

@AV_ As always AV - your pictures are glorious and I agree with you, exercise can bring injury, that is why we need to do it under a physician or trainers guidance.. Looks like a lovely day in Spain. xoxoxo

@Austina I too hope your call with Shirley was productive, how's her new grandson? I hope she feels good enough to hold him.. I'm sure it's hectic with a new baby in the house. You are a great friend.

@missy hello Marvelous Missy! aw the Autumnovirus that John and I have now is getting worse, I was up half the night drinking tea with honey, sore throat, etc as was John, we are hoping this plague upon us will leave as quickly as it came since Cara was sick for 3 days then fine.. of course she is 61 not 67 or 69... Mike didn't get it! yay, but little Miss Bubonic Plague ;-) was really sick Saturday :) love her anyway and she can give me a cold anytime. My EARS itch what the heck is that? Well talked to Chris and we are tentatively scheduling a march visit.. we shall see I will see him in
April in Seattle and I'm going to CT in June for my HS reunion and then on down to the city I'm pretty sure.. not sure if John is coming either time, hope so! I need a porter.. it's overcast in Austin today, glum.. :) awww Ollie is adorable with those paws Missy.. he is going to be on the bigger side for sure. Such beautiful, happy pictures of Frankie and Bobby, man he was a mite bit bigger for sure.. both those beautiful kids look happy and loved.. that is a wonderful thing. xoxoxoxoxo xxxooo

@junebug17 how's things June? xoxoxoxo

@canuk-gal Hi Sharon, hope all is well up where you are! xoxoxoo

@Daisys and Diamonds hello sweetie! how's the weather you guys are in winter so is it really hot? I was in Australia and NZ in January a few years ago and it was glorious! xoxoxoxo

@Niffler75 yes you are now a NIRDI!!! welcome, the best of the best of the best people ever. xoxoxo

So as I said to Missy we are in the throes of Autumnovirus but both of us are coughing a bit less, I must say it's not FLU! because I've had flu and this is a cakewalk compared to flu (so far anyway).

My etouffee! came out great... of course John and I couldn't taste much ha!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful monday.

xoxoxo

@Tekate :wavey: Hi lovely, thanks. Feel very welcomed here. Everyone's as mad as I am! I am chuffed with my ring. Sometimes I come across bargains eBay surfing! Just waiting on the sunstone ring arriving now. Sorry you haven't been well!

@Austina Hi, yep painting in our house just can't be put off any longer. We are doing some ourselves and then getting a decorator in to help. Planning a bathroom makeover too.

@Mamabean hope you haven't been diverting overhead aircraft with your new ring! It's a beauty! :kiss2:

Take care everyone x

@marcy I always worry that exercising is too repetitive & this is a recipe for injury [I did some damage, but stopped before things got serious], so I want to know that the trainer knows what his routine does to the body and has lived to tell the tale of wear & tear. This means different things in various countries, in terms of qualifications etc., but it is also a personal position to tell.

@missy The Groundhog Day is the most mysterious holiday. March 1 must be second - it is about wearing a flower butonierre of red & white; I took the habit from this day.

I had a good weekend & I am properly swamped this week; there is new work & old & I hope I can followup on the ETAS idea here & these things keep me very distracted:Screenshot_20200203-124526.png
Screenshot_20200203-125113.png

The flowers are everywhere, from the oldest tree [few] to nose level hedge & there is no way to put the hundreds of honney/mirrh scents in writing. The snow cap is beyond two thousand meters, I am at less than 1K & it gets just over 20C in the afternoon. By the end of April it will all be golden/red desert.

midday to do

Wow !
Blossom
Isnt it wonderful to see it for the first time each year
But it is 'August' already (February + 6 months ;)2 )
Spring is just around the corner

we have noticed already the sun is getting up later and going to bed earlier -
Sigh

LOVE!!! ❤❤❤

Thank you @missy! Now that I know how to upload videos I’m going to be a pain....It’s fun! The heart one makes me nauseous because I’m too close and it moves to much..haha

Tekate, I’m so happy for you with little granddaughter. I got to hold my young friends’ three month old this week and was enthralled and thought of you. I cannot imagine what it would feel like to see and hold and play with your own g.baby.. . Keep those photos coming! This is OUR first NIRDI baby.
And speaking of sharing...
When you said this:

@Mamabean I love your ring.. wear it a while and if something bothers you, return it :)

Didn’t you mean....wear it a while and if something bothers you, send it to me!!!

Mamabean first thing this morning was a look at your ACA in motion and I am totally smitten. Are you loving her? What are your thoughts this morning?

@Jimmianne I love Summer and am getting attached...I love the size but I look at her and think..Hmmmmm I think a little bigger would be okay..I’m kidding..not really but I’m sticking with that size because I think it will look best on me..I purchased an AV moissanite in a 8.8mm which I recently sold....It almost feels like I’m wearing that so I’m use to it already!

Hi everyone,

Just pounced on the postman again! :lol-2: I think I saw fear on his eyes! Maybe I should dial things down a bit? Just a little treat today, an ebay bargain! A citrine and smoky quartz bi colour ring. I couldn't resist the vintage look. It's really unusual.
20200203_134404.jpg

Oh my goodness
i missed this
i love smoky quartz and citrene
I love the shape and the size
you know any back story to it ?

@Daisys and Diamonds :wavey: Hi lovely! I was drawn to it initially as it looked like it was vintage but it is actually only 10 years old. It's just been sitting on someone's collection unworn. It's a lovely cut and when the light hits it the colour is chocolate through to caramel then yellow citrine.

Hi NIRDI’s!

@AV_ gorgeous trees and flowers. Thank you for the suggestion for Marty. Sorry you did some damage exercising.

@Niffler75 I was surprised to see another Niffler too. Love your citrine / smoky quartz ring. I bought my mom a large oval smoky topaz ring that reminds me of; I don’t remember which sister / niece ended up with it though. Great meme with Morticia. Good luck painting your house and remodeling your bathroom.

@missy Marty is excited / hopeful about being able to link his website from this doctor’s website. LOL that my program sounds stellar; that is spot on. I named it “The Life of Stars” and the put a picture of some Hollywood stars in the red carpet with the title - no not these stars; then the next slide has the Milky Way with title - these stars. Great picture of you and Greg and sweet / not always sweet Oliver. He does have big paws. I loved the pictures of Bobby and Francesca when they were little. The NIRDI family to the Adam’s family these is awesome and yes that song is going off in my head now. All you need is a red rose in your mouth to finish the Morticia look.

@Mamabean oh no to driving David to work in your PJ’s. Marty and I were heading to Lowe’s one day and he gets in to start the pickup and he has on his slippers. He had to go back in and put on shoes. I’ve seen people going in to convenience stores in PJ’s. I love your new heart ring. I am glad you are enjoying Summer. She is a beauty.

@Austina thank you for suggestions for Marty. I think he is sending off his info today. Funny you call my biscuits scones; those seem more like pastry to me over here. I love homemade biscuits. That is to bad Shirley doesn’t seem thrilled about having a grandson. I think of her often and hope she finds someone / something to help her. You are a good friend to her. Good deal going to the gym and driving range. I hope you enjoy the golf lessons.

@Tekate thank you for the suggestions for Marty. That is great John has been able to ward off knee replacement because of strength building. It has helped me for sure. I definitely get being safe by keeping things out of cribs. NN knew what was going on; security shut off her badge and told her she needed to report to HR. She looked around the room, said she knew what was going on so she was going to make it easy on all of us and resign. HR had her write it out, sign it, date it and left. I hope you and John are doing better this evening. I sure caught something. You have lots of travel plans this spring.

@Daisys and Diamonds I know we are headed back towards longer hours of daylight but I am sick of trying to drive in to work with the sun in my eyes. Spring is far, far away right now though.

I have a strange cold. My head is full and aches a lot; I have a sore throat and just moments ago started getting a runny nose. I’ve been super tired since last week. I woke up at 3 and had trouble going back to sleep. Just about the time I did Marty was banging around pans while cooking his breakfast. I usually sleep with ear plugs but took them out since they seemed to make my headache worse. Then our cleaning lady sent me a text. She lives about 30 miles out of town and didn’t know about cleaning for us today or tomorrow; I told her to stay safe - it’s just a house it will wait. I did finally go back to sleep and slept until 9.

We are getting snow and it’s quite cold through tomorrow. I don’t see us above freezing for the next 10 days.

Take care.
Marcy

@Mamabean I believe it was you that linked a stellar evolution video for me - I like that guy. Thank you.

@Mamabean I believe it was you that linked a stellar evolution video for me - I like that guy. Thank you.

I would love to have been the one that would link something special like that..but it wasn’t me..

Oh @marcy. Im sorry your sick
you need a hot toddy
lemon ginger honey cordial hot with a slug of whatever you fancy (or not ;)2 )
It will sooth your throat if nothing else
I actually love hot elderflower cordial but its too delicate a flavour to take any booze
Or good old blackcurrent

And that sun in your eyes driving is a real pain - wrap up warm and take care

Thanks @Mamabean

Whoever posted the link to the stellar evolution video - thank you. I can’t find the post again.

@marcy I‘m sorry you caught a cold...That’s great you were able to go back to sleep. All your talk of biscuits has me craving them...I’m meeting my son, Chris, for lunch tomorrow at a diner. I hope they don’t have biscuits because I might break down and have one!:oops2:
It‘s February and we haven’t had a good snow..just a bit on the grass once or twice...I love a good snow...Please send some my way! Don’t send any to New York because @missy ’s hubby could slip with his new knee..Send it all my way..

@Daisys and Diamonds - thank you. A hot toddy sounds good. I know I’m not my usual self; I am not even cold. That’s strange for me.

@Mamabean an occasional biscuit won't hurt you. I was surprised Marty ate so many of them. He rationalized they don't heat up well. Have a nice lunch with Chris tomorrow. Thank you for sympathizing with me for being sick. I'll gladly send you some snow but no we don't want any snow or ice near Greg.

@Niffler75 EBay is my kryptonite...I’m trying really hard not to go on it...I also love Ruby Lane...I’m staying off there too..Well maybe just a peek..

Ooooh! It’s so pretty @Niffler75!

I forgot to say i went to CVS today to pick up my prescription. On the door to CVS it had a huge sign that said FACE MASKS SOLD OUT..in bold letters...How much should we be worried about the Corona Virus...My husband has been flying back and forth from Los Angeles to San Francisco all week in airports...

@Daisys and Diamonds - thank you. A hot toddy sounds good. I know I’m not my usual self; I am not even cold. That’s strange for me.

@Daisys and Diamonds Your cordials sounds so good...Yummmmm...

OMG you have to look for an elderflower one !
Yes they are all loaded with sugar - but when we were wee kids mum would give us warm lemonaid - as in soda poo - 7 up
Actually she also used to squeese lemonds and make us pretty good hot lemon drinks - non alcoholic of course
Elder trees grow a bit like a weed down home but seem to be scare as hen's teeth up here ... but i managed to get one, its almost 4 foot high now but no flowers yet
it would probably like a drink too

thank goodness the groceries just arrived and the peach tea was not out of stock this week

if i had an enormous amount of money i would have a room like the beer fridge room they have at liquor outlets and id sleep in there in the summer !
