Now I really did it :((

@Slick1 How is Chase doing? I have been keeping him in my thoughts and praying for a miracle. Gentle hugs and a very happy 17th birthday to him. Guess what? Greg and I realized Oliver's one year birthday was either yesterday or the day before. Or at least sometime this week. So Oliver and Chase share a similar birthday. April babies. Hugs to you dear Slick and lots of love and well wishes.

Thank you so much @missy for the birthday wishes! I somehow missed this! Happy birthday to Ollie too! He’s a year old already? How timed flies. What a year it has been though! ((Hugs)) to you all ♥️

GM lovely ladies and happy FriYAY!

@Slick1 thank you. Oliver has been enjoying a happy birthday week. How is Chase doing? Sending you lots of pawsitivity and big hugs. Time sure does fly!

@Austina sweet. You guys are getting deliveries often and that makes me happy knowing you will not be short of fresh food. Produce and other yummy deliveries. Enjoy. Yes we had some decent days this week and enjoyed another lovely walk yesterday albeit no sunshine. Today is a rainy day all day though. Makes sense for you and Colin to avoid the crowds and you can get out into your own garden and be safe so it's not like you are a prisoner inside or anything. Stay safe and be well and sending you hugs.

@marcy thank you and oooh cannot wait for your diamond dangles to arrive...when do you expect them? Sweet. Speaking of sweet- What willpower to only have one cookie. YAY for lifting. My arm/back is still stiff/sore. Weird. Hoping it is just a sprain or something equally innocuous. Heating pad on as I type this post. How is your arm/shoulder?

@bling_dream19 woohoo it's FriYAY. Thank you for your lovely Bubbalah comments. What are your weekend plans? Big hugs.

@canuk-gal yes I was hoping that would bring you some joy. Gorgeous pieces and on sale...anything (or all of it lol) tempting?

@Scandinavian hope your mom and grandmother are doing well. Well that is a deep burgundy and I guess it's in the pink family...I'll accept that. Cheers! And Hugs.

@AV_ glad you had a decent night's sleep. And sounds like you too are enjoying some beautiful nature walks. I love walking in all different environments. Urban just as beautiful as suburban and rural...just different. We walked amidst some beautiful blooms yesterday.

Speaking of deliveries my parents were able to get a good grocery store delivery thank goodness and my sister's childhood friend also dropped groceries off on their porch last week. We were very touched she would go to that trouble but she is a good friend to my sister so it isn't surprising. It's a relief knowing my parents are so far safe and well.

As I wrote above we enjoyed a lovely longer walk yesterday and Greg also made me a new mask. Best fit yet. Very snug and he used an older exhalation valve from some old woodworking masks that have degraded or we would have donated them. Sadly he had no unused woodworking masks to donate and only had stock that was used. But he was able to cut out the exhalation vent and sew it into a mask for me and it definitely is easier to breathe with the mask on with it than without it. I don't know if the old valve filters as well but it is better than nothing. My lungs are more compromised than the average individual due to my asthma so it is a relief to be able to breathe a bit more easily in the mask now. Because we do have to wear them whenever we go out. Too many people here to walk without it unlike many of you who are fortunate to enjoy walks without the mask. Anyway lots of words by me (as usual lol) and here is a photo of me with my new fantastic fit mask thanks to Greg.

And the flowers were bountifully blooming.
Here's the tree where Greg proposed to me.

missyinfrontofproposaltreeprospectpark.png

Look at the signs all over the park.

and a black squirrel. So beautiful.

Have a lovely Friday girls and sending you all hugs.

Forgot to share a wonderful pic from yesterday. Our super and doorman. Following proper protocol. We have the best staff. This is the doorman that was ill from Covid last month. He is doing great! He has been our doorman since we moved here in 1995. We really have a great staff.

Hi NIRDI’s!

@AV_ too funny you are awake during the NIRDI timezone.

@Slick1 Happy Birthday!

@missy great pictures from your walk. My arm / shoulder has my attention; I am so sorry yours is still talking to you as well. Ugh. I did have 2 cookies later yesterday and put the rest in the freezer. That’s great your parents got a good grocery delivery and how nice of your sister’s friend to drop things off as well. Those lifelong good friends are priceless. That’s great your new mask works well for you. Great picture of the super and doorman; and so glad to see the doorman is recovered. I don't have a date yet on my earrings.

Our grilled tenderloin roast was fabulous last night. We've got a larger piece remaining in the freezer.

I had fun last night. We have email accounts from 3 internet providers ago. You can't log in online anymore but the accounts remain active. They get worse and worse for spam, getting hacked, etc. Anyway the main email account got one of those I have your password and will lock your computer and steal your info if I don't get $2000 - and it had a password I've used on a lot of online accounts. So off I went to change any and all passwords that had any variant of that password. Then I updated my password app and had to sync that app with my phone and 2 iPads. Such fun. I can't get my Verizon password to save the change.

I am playing cards here shortly online with a friend of mine for lunch.

Take care.
Marcy

Happy FriYAY friends :kiss2: I hope everyone is well and happy and having a great day!
@missy I love your new mask and am so happy you can breath easier. Greg is the man to make you such a well fitting mask! And that is wonderful news that your doorman and super are all better! I know they love you! Do they bring your bling packages to the door? Does he realize the packages are bling :love:? Big hugs to you. Any weekend plans? Mine will be the usual of cooking, organizing, maybe some cleaning.
@marcy I think your eyes can stop twitching  I'm on a good cleaning routine! Yum to those cookies. I have all the ingredients to make oatmeal pb choc chip cookies...I have oatmeal that I'm sure is expired but I'm going to use it, I have new pb that took forever to stir, and I have a 5 pound bag of chocolate chips that cost me $45 (the costco ones have an ingredient that doesn't agree with me). Soo..maybe I'll get around to making cookies. It's either A: make cookies or B: do housework.....I'll take B!!! Tenderloin sounds delicious - we usually have a frozen flank in the freezer I love those. Glad you got your technology updated.
@Austina glad to hear you and Colin love 90day and yes I cringed when he gave the new girl the same ring he gave his ex-fiance (whom they share a very unique relationship). We could probably start a thread for 90 day drama. It pains me sometimes to watch it. I don't remember the names well but I remember the drama.
Glad you are enjoying delicious food and staying active around the house. Oh I saw on your other post regarding e-ring and was wondering what you wore before Bella? If that's overstepping, please disregard.
@Slick1 Happy birthday!
@Mamabean Hi mamabean - hope you have a great weekend! What's on the menu?
I had a really awful night of sleep which is not usual. I woke up at 4am and pretty laid in bed til 730 and I never went back to sleep. I tried the meditation that @Jimmianne shared. I never really settled down. And I was sneezing a lot! I don't know what that was about. I did crack open an iced coffee from Costco and drank that between 1pm-3pm. I haven't had an iced coffee since March 16. So, maybe that was it. Anyway, I'm taking a melatonin tonight and I can't wait for sleep:sleep:
Love and hugs to all!

@blingdream I would have picked the cookies over housework! I am trying to be good so maybe I would skip the cookies and plan to do tidying up.....I actually hurt from cleaning. I miss my cleaning lady...:cry2:
I am very sensitive to caffeine so the iced coffee would definitely keep me from sleeping that night..Caffeine does me super energetic...so I run around doing things and then crash...I drink Decaf instead which still give some a little jolt. I hope you sleep better tonight..
I made homemade pizza yesterday.Tonight we‘re going to have the Filet Mignons from Omaha Steaks....If they are good I’m going to order more from them. Everything I received from them has been delicious..

@Mamabean He got filet mignon and some ice cream. I am sure he will get lots of treats this weekend with the kiddos dropping by. He even got a birthday parade the other day from a couple of my students. ♥️

Hello lovelies

Wow, it’s certainly been one hellava year @missy! Hard to believe that Ollie is already one, and all the mayhem he brought in to your lives, but I know you wouldn’t part with him for the world. I’m so glad to hear your Mum and Dad have managed to get deliveries, it certainly reduces the stress levels, knowing that they’re stocked up. Isn’t it great that there are such kind people around, this situation has certainly brought out the best in a lot of people (and sadly the worst in others). Looks like you had a lovely walk yesterday, and I’m glad you’ve got a better fitting mask, Greg’s ingenuity never ceases to amaze me, I know it’s because you’re so precious to him and he doesn’t want anything to happen to you.

I enjoyed your love story @marcy, and I agree about putting up with each other’s c*ap  Colin used to joke it was cheaper to stay married than divorce me  Enjoy your card games with your friend. Part of my meat delivery was beef rib tips, I’d never had them before, so I made a casserole today, I was a bit dubious, but boy, the meat literally melted in our mouths.

Awww @Slick1 what a grand old age your little boy is, and what a testament to your loving care to get him there. He looks so comfy snuggled up to his furry cushion, how sweet your students made him cards.

Hope you get a better night’s sleep tonight @bling_dream19, I hate when you have nights like that. I fell asleep then woke at 11.45pm and then again about 4am, but I did eventually drift off till just before 7am. Of course I don’t mind you asking about my ring. I only wore my original wedding ring for 3 days when we got married, back then the fashion was for quite wide bands and mine had a bark pattern that rubbed my finger, so I took it off and never wore it again. I haven’t really worn one particular ring but over the years, I’ve worn a variety of diamond bands. For our 25th anniversary, I got a beautiful hot pink sapphire ring, which I wore a lot. Generally I didn’t wear rings when I was dog walking, because of holding the lead. I had Marilyn made a couple of years ago, which I wore all the time on my left hand until I got Bella.

I bet you’re really looking forward to Shatzie’s visit tomorrow @Mamabean, and I expect you’ve been cooking up a storm so he can take food home. Hope all is well with you and your family, have a lovely weekend.

Hope you’re enjoying your time in SC @junebug17.

We tried another fruit and veg delivery service today (keeping our options open), and it arrived earlier and looks really good. Lovely selection, cauliflower, cabbage, parsnips, French beans, peppers, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, onions, satsumas, apples, bananas, black grapes, loaf of bread, 6 eggs, vine tomatoes, iceberg lettuce and cucumber all for less than $30. Also got a slot for a delivery of other food on Monday.

Spent the afternoon, cleaning out the track of the bifold door, while Colin cleaned the rest of the downstairs window frames.

We haven’t decided what we’re doing this weekend, we think we’ll stay in and relax

Wishing you all a great weekend of staying home and staying safe :wavey:

@missy What a great job Greg did on the mask! I’m convinced he can do anything...My hubby is coming tomorrow...I have some honey dos for him to do when he gets here.. I bought a little bistro table and two chairs to put in the gazebo. He has to put it together. The gazebo is not fancy. It’s very old and rough looking but in keeping with the age of the house. It dates to the age of the house in 1905. I couldn’t believe how much it cost to give it a new roof. The handyman is meticulous but so slow...He charges materials and time so everything he does is expensive. The people before us put new brick on the gazebo floor and did a terrible job...but since it’s so old and not fancy I may just get an outdoor rug to put over it. I also bought a new umbrella for our outdoor table. I think we will be here for a while so I’m spiffing things up. I want him to power wash the walks in the back...I told him I wanted a quote with an exact price...
Your photos are gorgeous... I love that you can visit the tree where Greg proposed..Its beautiful. I love seeing pics of Brooklyn...❤️
Did Tommy’s results come in? I didn’t know this is Oliver’s birthday week! Happy Birthday Oliver! Gracie is so little next to the others...She looks like a sweetheart..
I love black squirrels. We have one that shows up occasionally here...I haven’t seen him in a while. I hope he’s okay..
I‘m happy Your parents are getting enough supplies. Your sister’s friend was so sweet and thoughtful to deliver some things to them. Are your parents getting cabin fever?

@Slick1 That is soooo sweet that he got filet mignon and ice cream! I love that your students came to give him a birthday parade!

@Slick1 OMG your poodle is a total sweetheart :kiss2: Happy Birthday!
@Austina Fruit and veg boxes, hmmm now I have never researched what is available in my area! We often use our local farm shops which are brilliant.
@missy I hope Greg is feeling ok and that his kidney stone is behaving. Maybe you should 'name' it like your ring! I am enjoying your pics and I have never seen a black squirrel. I have however seen a nearly all black fox which is quite rare! I'm glad you have a mask that fits better. I am sure that makes alot of difference with all the walking you do!
@bling_dream19 How well does melatonin work for you? We can't readily buy it in the UK. I could do with some at times as I go through short phases of insomnia!
@Jimmianne Hi, how are you keeping?
@Mamabean How are you and the family? I am amazed with how well my boy is doing at the moment. He is so empathic and checking in with neighbours and friends when we see them. It makes me a very proud mummy!
@Scandinavian @Keeliamira and @Daisys and Diamonds keeping you all in my thoughts.

We are planning a relaxed weekend. My hubbie kindly painted our railings outside our house today. I think we are going to get Chinese take out tomorrow and watch a movie.
Take care everyone x

@Niffler75 I take a dose of 1.5 or 3mg and it works beautifully. I don't take it regularly. But, I think it was the coffee, the dreary and too much work yesterday! Your movie night sounds great.
@Mamabean your house projects sound great and good to keep your husband active with his honey do list  I think it was the coffee that messed me up last night. My brain is mushy today. I hope you relax too this weekend.
@Austina thanks for sharing your ring history - that sounds really fun to wear diamond bands and you know I LOVE your pink sapphire. And one does not really know how a ring feels unless one wears it for a few days. And your humor is really great too!

Wow @Austina! I can’t believe you got all that food for $30! I’m starting to relax about having enough food to get through this thing. As I told blingdream I’m going to make the Omaha Steak Filet Mignons tonight. If they are good I’ll order from them again. What does Adam think about them? I still can’t believe he spent $1,000 for just the two of them. It must be fun for them to decide what they’re eating each day.
Did you have to slow cook the ribs? I know you said they went into a casserole. I never made beef ribs before so I’m curious..
I’m not making food for him this weekend. He said the freezer is full of food..hahaha...I sent him home with a bucket load of meatballs last weekend. He still has chicken and meatloaf..He asked for a bunch of tortilla chips, sweet snack mix, and granola bars...He’s
probably eating all that instead of the good food. I’ll know if he asks me to order more...Something tells me they won’t have any available for me to order for him if that happens..haha
How is Adam and Kim?

@Niffler75 I’m happy your son is doing well with the confinement. How sweet he checks in with your neighbors. David is doing really well too. He’s been very happy and relaxed which makes me happy.
Ooooh Chinese food sounds really good right now. I don’t think we have delivery near us...The only place to get it is a ride..and if I move my car I may not find a parking space again....City life...
A relaxing weekend sounds nice...Other then seeing my husband that’s what we will be doing. I’m so happy he’s willing to drive here every weekend.

@marcy I wrote you a long post and I see the box is empty...I don’t know what happened...PS Gremlins maybe?
I’m sorry your shoulder/neck still hurts...I missed the post of yours where you mentioned getting new diamond dangly earrings. I’m going to have to search back to see if I can find it! Exciting!
I loved your story about how you met and fell in love with your hubby! So romantic!
Mine wasn’t romantic...It was more funny! Shatzie and I had a mutual friend. I never met Shatzie before but we were at the same New Years Party. A guy at the party was getting too pushy with me..trying to get my phone number and being a real pain. I was really polite...too polite looking back...but this guy would not leave me alone. I knew Shatzie was our mutual friend’s friend..but like I said we never met. In desperation I told the guy that Shatzie was my boyfriend...This obnoxious guy said that it was funny that he never saw me talk to him...He walked over to Shatzie and asked him if I was his girlfriend. Shatzie looked at me and said yes so get lost. Hahaha...Then Shatzie suggested we better stay together for the evening or the guy wouldn’t believe it. That was it...We were inseparable since.. :)

HI:

Had a swell ride today. We've found a few cuts through neighborhoods as the central paths are heaving in places. Saw a cute deer munching away but not quick enough to get a photo.

NIRDI shout out!

@AV_ did you get to the market for some fresh fish?
@marcy I also missed the earrings, what new?
@missy Love you mask! And that it is functional as well. Great flower pictures. We had rain last night but things still look pretty brown here.
@Mamabean you'll be happy to weekend company!

Oh I connected with my Mom last night--she hasn't been feeling well; cold symptoms and her BP was really high for 3 days. Did a teleconference with her MD; nothing new prescribed. Anyway she'll be 85 in JUly and is slowing down. But she doesn't take any precautions due to this pandemic--she just doesn't seem to "get it". Frustrating.

cheers--Sharon

@canuk-gal, totally understandable to feel bored these days. Nice that you're having long talks with your sisters, good to feel close during a time like this. Sorry your mom hasn't been feeling well but glad she seems to be on the mend. Ugh, it's stressful when people we care about don't take things as seriously as they should. The weather has been sunny and warm, mid 70's, although we've had a few rainy days.

@Niffler75, your new ruby is just gorgeous, what a delicious color! Not sure about the setting, my guess is that it might not fit but best to check with the person who will set it. It's great you're taking care of yourself, and a good reminder for me. It's important when dealing with all this stress. Aw, I'm glad your son is doing well, what a sweetie he is. Your weekend plans sound great.

@_AV, plum vodka sounds delicious! So nice that you can enjoy walks in such a beautiful place.

@Mamabean, love the story of how you met Shatzie! So sweet. Wonderful news about the negative test, what a relief for you. I hope Chris is doing well too. A bistro table and chairs will look so nice in your gazebo and will be a lovely place to sit. Good to hear David is happy and comfortable. Enjoy your visit with your dh tomorrow.

@Austina, I love the story of how you and Colin met, so sweet and it was meant to be! Very glad you got lots of food delivered, you have a nice variety of things. You deserve a relaxing weekend after a day of cleaning.

@missy, your friend's bably is adorable! The essential workers on the front line are true heroes, I am amazed and humbled every day by their bravery. Glad your appointment worked out ok and I hope your doctors can figure out the right balance of meds for you. The mask Greg made looks great. Beautiful pink blossoms! Keeping Tommy in my thoughts and hoping for the best.

@TechieTechie, aw, Pumpkin is so sweet! I hope he doesn't have anything seriously wrong.
Sorry you're having trouble with your shoulder and I hope you can get back to PT soon. So exciting that your niece is getting engaged...I checked out the ring and it's pretty!

@marcy, so sweet how you met Marty, it's nice to think back to those early days. Woo-hoo to new diamond dangles, I can't wait to see them. Love that Snoopy cartoon, so cute and very true! I hope your shoulder is feeling better soon.

@bling_dream19, yes, the coffee might have been the culprit. I hope you get some much needed sleep. I would definitely go for cookies over housework lol. Or you could do what I usually do...skip making the cookies and just eat the chips out of the bag lol. And then leave the housework for tomorrow! I know, I'm bad.

@Slick1, your Chase is so adorable, happy birthday to him! So sweet of your students to acknowledge his birthday.

@Calliecake, we are doing pretty well here is SC. Hope you and dh are doing well. Your grandniece sounds like a smart little girl and I know you must really miss her. How fun there are two babies on the way!

@Tekate, thinking of you, so sorry you got upset and I hope you're feeling better. <3

Oh, I want to clarify something...I usually don't take TP with me to rest stops LOL! That was just a covid precaution!

We're doing good here, just plugging along...dh seems relaxed here, which is good because he has a lot going on with work right now. I'm looking forward to getting out to the grocery store for some pimento cheese. We'll be able to venture out on Wednesday, the 14 days is up then.

Take care everyone!

hello lovelly NIRDI ladies

@Austina thank you for your lovely warm comments. Touched my heart you are so kind. I know Greg loves me (as Colin loves you) and I love Greg so much as you love Colin and if anything happened to him I don't think I would want to continue but I will push these dark thoughts out of my head. OK onto happier thoughts. Yes very thankful my parents are OK for now and stocked up on groceries. I am also happy you guys are doing well in the delivery department. Very reassuring to hear your friends and neighbors are watching out for you and that you guys are able to get all the deliveries you need. Sounds like the perfect weekend plans lol. Stay well stay safe and hugs.

Hello @bling_dream19 and happy Caturday Saturday my friend. How are your masks working out? How are your parents doing? Keeping good thoughts for everyone. Haha the doormen know me well and they are very respectful and would never comment on any package but I am sure they know what I like. As for bling well I don't believe they know that part of my life lol. But if they did it would be OK.They are all so honest and trustworthy. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful staff. They know how much we appreciate them too because we make sure they know. Hope you are having a lovely weekend and your plans sound wonderful and I am sending you lots of love and hugs.

Hi Joanne, results not in yet for Tommy. Thanks so much for your lovely comments re the mask. YAY for your DH coming today. LOL on the honey do list. How sweet you are taking such good care of him. Roofs are super expensive even for small gazebos. With the global great depression sure to come everything is going to be much more expensive before we know it. But one day at a time. I hope he enjoys power washing the back. Greg loves powerwashing and it wouldn't be a chore for him. I would lend Greg to you if I could. Thank you for the compliment re my photos. It's hard to take photos through my mask. Everything is a bit more challenging with the mask on but thankful we have the masks. My mom is getting cabin fever. She is a very active on the go person and this is hard for her. How is your mom doing? How is David doing? How are you feeling? You sound good. (((Hugs))).

Oh I connected with my Mom last night--she hasn't been feeling well; cold symptoms and her BP was really high for 3 days. Did a teleconference with her MD; nothing new prescribed. Aww I am sorry your mom is not taking things as seriously as she should...it's so hard with older people. They are stubborn. I hope she remains well and safe and stats feeling much better very soon. My dad is turning 86 April 30th. I am glad we had his surprise 85th birthday party last year. I hope it isn't the last birthday we get to celebrate together. Sending you hugs and good wishes for all your family Sharon. And yay for cycling!

We are planning a relaxed weekend. My hubbie kindly painted our railings outside our house today. I think we are going to get Chinese take out tomorrow and watch a movie.
Take care everyone x

@Niffler75 I like your weekend plans. They are perfect. Enjoy and sending you hugs and lots of warm thoughts. How is Hershey doing re his thyroid meds?

I am playing cards here shortly online with a friend of mine for lunch.

How was your card game? We played yesterday and it was fun though Greg wants to start playing chess and I have already forgotten how as the last time we played was 2014 and even then I was rusty. I am sorry about the spam from your online accounts. How scary re the 2000$ threat. I hope we don't get anything like that. Wow. Were you able to straighten that out? I hope so. I am sorry your shoulder arm is still making noise. Mine is too. My neck is stiff and it extends to my back and I really don't know what it is. I have a heating pad on almost all day long including right now. It isn't getting better and of course I am concerned it could be something like a vertebra fracture but nothing I can do but try supportive care at this moment. I hope your shoulder is feeling better today Marcy. How is Marty? How is his gym outdoors going? Sending you hugs and lots of warm wishes and hope today is a good day.

@Mamabean He got filet mignon and some ice cream. I am sure he will get lots of treats this weekend with the kiddos dropping by. He even got a birthday parade the other day from a couple of my students. ♥

Happy birthday to Ollie too! He’s a year old already? How timed flies. What a year it has been though! ((Hugs)) to you all ♥

Aww what a great day and what a very happy birthday for Chase. He is a lucky little guy and you are all very fortunate too to have that kind of love and to be able to celebrate such a happy occasion. How is sweet sweet Chase doing today? Sending him bucketloads of healing dust. Thank you for Oliver's birthday wishes. He is a handful but he is a love too. Yes it has been quite the year and this one is proving to be a contender for last year. Not something I am happy about but we have to go with the flow and adapt. Those who adapt can thrive. So I am trying. LOL rather laugh than cry so that is what we all must do. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

We're doing good here, just plugging along...dh seems relaxed here, which is good because he has a lot going on with work right now. I'm looking forward to getting out to the grocery store for some pimento cheese. We'll be able to venture out on Wednesday, the 14 days is up then.

Yay almost at the 14 day mark and freedom so to speak. I am glad you are all doing well and that your dh is needed at work. That is a relief for sure. One less concern. I can imagine you cannot wait to get out and go to the market. I miss going there as often as I used to. We are limiting our trips to once every 2 weeks or so with the occasional quick trip to the local market for bananas and a few other miscellaneous items. Thank you for your kind words and lovely thoughts. Sending you warm hugs and well wishes and very pleased to hear all is going smoothly by you and long may that continue. Hugs.

@Poodles4me hugs and good wishes across the miles. Hope you are doing well and your hubby is doing well as your furry babies.XOXO.

Yesterday was uneventful and Greg and I enjoyed cards between his Conference Calls. Today we are hoping to go for a walk as it is the only day that will be nice sandwiched between lots of rain. Tomorrow and yesterday. And from the forecast it looks like a rainy week to come.

Leaving you with a photo I took of the Brooklyn Bridge. "NY Tough" .
We will get through this together. Every country in the world and every state in the USA... we will get through this. (((HUGS))).

Happy Caturday Saturday girls!

Hi NIRDI’s!

@bling_dream19 my eye has stopped twitching now. Tee hee. Yay for a good cleaning routine. Let me know when you make cookies; they sound delicious. I looked for one of those big bags of chocolate chips at Sams Club this week but they were out of them. Yes, flank steak is delicious. I hope you slept better; I hate those long nights when you can’t sleep.

@Slick1 your poodle is adorable and Happy Birthday to him and how cool to have a parade from your students!

@Mamabean glad to hear you are enjoying Omaha Steaks. I just placed another order yesterday; I’m getting some of their bacon this time. I’ve been ordering from them for over 20 years now and my MIL got a gift pack for her birthday this week that included bacon which she loved. I’m like what? They have bacon? Funny you mentioned finding a parking place. That was something I commented on when we watched the Bosch Series. They can always find a place to park in LA. Likely story. I totally enjoyed hearing how you and Shatzie met and ended up together. Your gazebo sounds great. Things work out as they should. I’ll post info and pictures of my earrings below.

@Austina Marty and Colin must tell the same jokes; I’ve heard that too it’s cheaper to stay married than divorce me. That’s awesome the beef rib tips melted in your mouth. Cool. Sorry you had a restless nice too. I totally enjoyed hearing the progress of your wedding bands and rings. Good deal for a fruit and veggie delivery. Good idea to stay home and relax for a change. Ha Ha.

@Niffler75 enjoy your Chinese takeout and movie. That is so sweet your son checks on the neighbors.

@canuk-gal glad you had a nice ride and got to a deer along the way. I’ll post info and a picture of the earrings I am getting below. I’ve been waiting to order them because of the uncertainty in the world right now. Glad to hear your mom did a teleconference with her MD and I hope she is doing better now.

@junebug17 these days we can easily put off for tomorrow what we don’t want to do day. What difference does it make on those things? Mm chips. Yay for being able to venture out on Wednesday. I hate to hear your DH has a lot going on at work.

@Daisys and Diamonds I hope you are doing well. The less news I watch the more optimistic I am.

@missy our theme song after altering the words could be about our achy breaky shoulders. I know we have lots of company here too. I hope you are feeling better. The card game with my friend worked well. She is very social and doesn’t like spending time alone so this is hard on her. We played for about 75 minutes and I was on my lucky horse shoe beating her several times. Glad to hear you and Greg played cards as well. Marty loves chess too; I never got the hang of it though. I still have stuff on my computer but who knows if any of my online accounts have been hacked. The scariest ones are Turbo Tax and H&R Block. Both had that email and password on it. I keep an eye on existing accounts but I wouldn’t know about identity theft right away. Beautiful picture of the BB. Marty plans / hopes to open his gym on May 1st. He has cleaners and hand sanitizer and will limit how many can lift at once. He has antibacterial soap to wash your hands as you come in and leave.

I slept in about an extra hour today. Marty went to his gym to do his Friday lifting. I am almost done with laundry. I am working on my article for the paper this morning. Our paper cut employees and announced they were reducing the “fluff” section of the paper until they can open again so I didn’t think they’d want my article. I got an email yesterday asking if I was submitting one for May. Oops. I guess they like them enough to include them.

Marty is grilling us Omaha Steaks for lunch. I am making rice and cleaned up some raw veggies. Of course we have cookies for dessert.

So for my earrings. I wanted some diamond dangles to match my 3/4 carat YG diamond pendant. The pendant mounting is from Stullers and they do have matching earrings but they are drop earrings with posts and can only hold 3mm diamonds. I wanted larger diamonds and dangles so I picked out some settings I think match my pendant pretty well. They will be lever backs though instead of wires.

Take care.

@marcy nice earrings! Hope you enjoy them.
@junebug17 count down to freedom!
@Austina I cannot believe the haul you got for that price! Prices have definitely gone up here.

We had a brisk ride today--started out nice but then the clouds rolls in and wind. I was prepared but my DH complained of being cold. I never leave without my gortex shell!

Like everyone else I am veeerryyyyyyy bored. But not enough to vacuum.

GM lovely ladies! Happy Sunday. Not super happy for us because the cat door stopped working and when Greg tried to open it remotely for our sweet ferals it wouldn't budge. Probably raccoon related darn raccoons. So my poor sweet DH is heading to the beach house to save the ferals and try to fix the door. Please let him be successful.

@marcy love the earrings and looking forward to seeing them on your lovely lobes. Yes that could be our theme song. I am suffering. It's getting worse. Any suggestions? I am not used to this. I am using a heating pad and googled stretches for the lat since I think it might be my lat muscle. But I am just guessing. How is your shoulder arm today? Sweet you slept in an extra hour. And of course they want your article. Glad you are working on it. They are lucky to have you. Darn I forgot to include you yesterday on a book club email....are you interested? it is only one email you have to do suggesting a good book and you might get lots of excellent suggestions back...in fact any of the NIRDIs who are interested please let me know. I don't remember who I BCCd on that email now. LOL sleep deprived brain indeed. Glad Marty is still working with his clients and so far so good for May 1st and reopening his gym. Sounds like a good plan. I would give anything (almost) to be where you are marcy. NYC and the Jersey shore aren't the places to be right now. Glad my NIRDI friends are safe and sound and in different states. XOXO.

@canuk-gal I am glad everyone is doing well by you though I am sorry you are bored. I am definitely not bored yet. LOL I guess I easily entertain myself but also being in pain and also dealing with all we are dealing with (tommy's potentially horrible diagnosis, greg's kidney stones, 2 cats that never want to stop eating and my shoulder arm issue) doesn't allow me to be bored. Yet. I am fully aware one can be bored and in pain. Oh my goodness life sure is challenging at times. Sigh. Sending you hugs and good wishes and may this Sunday offer you some lively and happy entertainment. (((Hugs))).

@junebug17 hope your weekend is going well and that you are comfy cozy and happy and safe at your beach house. Sending you hugs.

@Austina I forgot to mention the price you paid for all that produce. That is awesome. Somehow when I order anything it is never under $200 and we aren't getting much for that price I promise you. I hope you and Colin are enjoying a peaceful Sunday. How are Adam and Kim doing? Are they able to get food deliveries easily? Have you spoken with Shirley recently? Sending you continued well wishes and hugs.

@Slick1 how is the birthday boy doing? I hope he is hanging in there and doing well. Sending your little furry baby big hugs and lots of love to all of you. And if the unimagined happened I hope the family all got to say goodbye. You are in my thoughts.

@Scandinavian how are your kids doing? What is the school plan for them? Are schools reopening or staying closed for the rest of the school year? We are almost in May. Cannot believe how fast it is all going. Hugs.

@bling_dream19 hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend. Hope you and your DH and mom and dad and all the family is doing as well as possible. (((Hugs))).

@Mamabean hope you are enjoying a wonderful visit with your DH. I am sure you have cooked up a storm for him and hope all is good by you. Hugs.

@Niffler75 what movie did you/are you watch(ing) and how was Chinese takeout? I used to love egg rolls. It has been probably four plus decades since I had egg rolls but oh I remember how tasty they were/are. Hope you are enjoying a good weekend. Hugs.

@AV_ how is your weekend going? Any good walks? Any good desserts? How's the writing going? Hugs to you.

We had a good long walk yesterday but my goodness we had a lot of people dodging to do. The weather was amazing and everyone was out. And not everyone was wearing masks so that wasn't good. But we made the best of it and were very careful. Despite my stiff neck/back walking seemed less painful than sitting . I am worse today but hoping it will start getting better. Not sure what to do other than heat and try to not use it as best as possible. No more weights for me but I haven't done weights re my arms since this started 8 days ago. It's most likely the Lat muscle so if anyone has suggestions I am all ears. Thanks.

Greg just left to go to the beach house to investigate what happened with the cat door. I hope it is fixable today and soon. I am sort of helpless here right now as when I woke I could barely move so it isn't a great situation but I am maintaining perspective. And hoping for the best. It is a dreary rainy day today and will be tomorrow as well.

Have a super Sunday lovely ladies and be well and stay safe. (((HUGS))).

Leaving you with some photos from yesterday's walk.
We walked in the Gowanus neighborhood. Used to be gritty but it is definitely improved. I think we walked about 6 miles yesterday all through Brooklyn. It was nice.

@Austina almost forgot. We have a dear friend who lives in the English Countryside and he sent us a photo yesterday during his walk. He is quarantined alone right now as he is newly divorced. He is doing A OK and in good spirits.

Hello lovelies

@Mamabean, Adam and Kim are enjoying all their steak from Omaha, and living high on the hog as we say here  The beef rib tips are apparently the meat between the actual rib bones, and although very marbled, were not fatty to taste. Lol to Shatzie having plenty in the freezer at home, glad to hear he’s so well stocked. Hope you’re all doing well there and enjoying your husband’s visit today.

Thank you for the lovely cheery photos @missy. Everything is good here, and Adam and Kim are getting regular shops from HEB, they don’t seem to be having any problem getting a delivery slot. Maybe it’s because where they are, there are 3 big supermarkets within a couple of miles, and they’re not as densely populated as closer to the city. I didn’t get to speak to Shirley last week, she emailed to say she wasn’t feeling very well, so I replied saying to get plenty of rest. They tend to stay up really late, then she sleeps most of the day, and so the cycle goes. Personally, I’ve always thought she’d do better having a bit more of a structured routine, but it’s not my place to say. She then sent me about 12 emails saying she was sorry she missed me, had tried to get on, but had trouble connecting. I think she must’ve been very confused last week, so I’m hoping she’ll be better today, we’ll see if she turns up for our chat. I would say have a lovely long relaxing bath, but I’m not sure if you have a bath in the apartment, I’m sorry I don’t remember. Other than that, I think heat is about the only thing you can do at the moment to help ease things up. I hope Greg fixes the kitty feeder and gets back soon, as I don’t like to think of you alone and in pain.

Actually @canuk-gal that was a little more than we would normally pay for the fruit and veggies, but we’re happy to pay whatever it costs to get a delivery, and they can do a regular drop, so we will probably do that as we can’t get eggs anywhere else and don’t like to keep asking our neighbours. We get our berries with our other shopping, and are expecting a delivery tomorrow. I’d love to get some flour, but everywhere is out, and I don’t need a hundred weight of it!

I’m glad you posted pics of the earrings @marcy, because the link didn’t work for me. They’re going to be WOW, and how great to have something sparkly to look forward to. I’m going to email WF and ask if they can tell me exactly how big the diamonds are and how many in each of the ct weight sizes of the bangle, so I can figure out what I want. I recently bought a Swarovski one to see how I felt about it, but a) it was too big at 7.5inches, and b) the stones were too big for every day wear. Fortunately I was able to send it back for a full refund. I have no idea when I’ll get the bangle, because I want to either having it sent to Adam’s or I want to see them in person.

Hey @Scandanavian, hope things are well with you, the munchkins, puppies and your Mum and Grandmother. Are you still at the cabin and enjoying the snow?

Don’t look at the news @Daisys and Diamonds, we’re not, they’re determined to just show doom and gloom and not give any positive news whatsoever. Our media are horrendous, just focussed on trying to lay blame and panic people.

Hope you enjoyed your Chinese takeaway and film last night @Niffler75, what did you watch? We’ve seen all the latest films on Sky, one downside of flying long haul so often, I can watch 5 films on the trip to Tx.

Glad being away is keeping your DH relaxed @junebug17, and woohoo to being able to get out on Wednesday.

Hoping all the lovely NIRDIs are having a good weekend, it’s lovely and sunny again here today. Colin is going to cut the lawn again today, it’s growing like crazy at the moment.

Leaving you with a photo of the front garden, lots of Bluebells in bloom and some Irises, can’t wait for the roses to start blooming. I didn’t actually plant the Bluebells, I planted lots of bulbs, but that’s what came up
