Now I really did it :((

Hi everyone :wavey: Beautiful sunny weather here again but looks like we are due rain and cooler temperatures in a few days.
You are all putting me to shame with your photos. I went on a walk today but spent most of the time hiding in a bush with my son as we were playing 'dinosaur hunters hiding from velociraptors'. And yes our neighbours already think we are mad! :lol-2:
So we ended up not getting a Chinese take out as our fave place is not open. :cry2: So we settled for pizza and watched Men in Black International.

@missy I am so sorry you are in lots of discomfort. :blackeye: Does anything help at all?

I'll leave you with a pic of my son when he was 7 making friends with a bird of prey! :mrgreen2:

Aww I LOVE this photo  and no worries about sharing photos. I love whatever you do share and no pressure at all!

I am sorry you couldn't get Chinese but pizza is a very good substitute for sure. Glad you enjoyed the food and the movie.

Heat helps a bit so I have a heating pad on all my waking hours. It seems a bit looser right now since I
have been heating it for almost 4 hours now...Greg is at the beach house and working on the problem. Fingers crossed he can fix it.

Hello lovelies

@Mamabean, Adam and Kim are enjoying all their steak from Omaha, and living high on the hog as we say here  The beef rib tips are apparently the meat between the actual rib bones, and although very marbled, were not fatty to taste. Lol to Shatzie having plenty in the freezer at home, glad to hear he’s so well stocked. Hope you’re all doing well there and enjoying your husband’s visit today.

Thank you for the lovely cheery photos @missy. Everything is good here, and Adam and Kim are getting regular shops from HEB, they don’t seem to be having any problem getting a delivery slot. Maybe it’s because where they are, there are 3 big supermarkets within a couple of miles, and they’re not as densely populated as closer to the city. I didn’t get to speak to Shirley last week, she emailed to say she wasn’t feeling very well, so I replied saying to get plenty of rest. They tend to stay up really late, then she sleeps most of the day, and so the cycle goes. Personally, I’ve always thought she’d do better having a bit more of a structured routine, but it’s not my place to say. She then sent me about 12 emails saying she was sorry she missed me, had tried to get on, but had trouble connecting. I think she must’ve been very confused last week, so I’m hoping she’ll be better today, we’ll see if she turns up for our chat. I would say have a lovely long relaxing bath, but I’m not sure if you have a bath in the apartment, I’m sorry I don’t remember. Other than that, I think heat is about the only thing you can do at the moment to help ease things up. I hope Greg fixes the kitty feeder and gets back soon, as I don’t like to think of you alone and in pain.

Actually @canuk-gal that was a little more than we would normally pay for the fruit and veggies, but we’re happy to pay whatever it costs to get a delivery, and they can do a regular drop, so we will probably do that as we can’t get eggs anywhere else and don’t like to keep asking our neighbours. We get our berries with our other shopping, and are expecting a delivery tomorrow. I’d love to get some flour, but everywhere is out, and I don’t need a hundred weight of it!

I’m glad you posted pics of the earrings @marcy, because the link didn’t work for me. They’re going to be WOW, and how great to have something sparkly to look forward to. I’m going to email WF and ask if they can tell me exactly how big the diamonds are and how many in each of the ct weight sizes of the bangle, so I can figure out what I want. I recently bought a Swarovski one to see how I felt about it, but a) it was too big at 7.5inches, and b) the stones were too big for every day wear. Fortunately I was able to send it back for a full refund. I have no idea when I’ll get the bangle, because I want to either having it sent to Adam’s or I want to see them in person.

Hey @Scandanavian, hope things are well with you, the munchkins, puppies and your Mum and Grandmother. Are you still at the cabin and enjoying the snow?

Don’t look at the news @Daisys and Diamonds, we’re not, they’re determined to just show doom and gloom and not give any positive news whatsoever. Our media are horrendous, just focussed on trying to lay blame and panic people.

Hope you enjoyed your Chinese takeaway and film last night @Niffler75, what did you watch? We’ve seen all the latest films on Sky, one downside of flying long haul so often, I can watch 5 films on the trip to Tx.

Glad being away is keeping your DH relaxed @junebug17, and woohoo to being able to get out on Wednesday.

Hoping all the lovely NIRDIs are having a good weekend, it’s lovely and sunny again here today. Colin is going to cut the lawn again today, it’s growing like crazy at the moment.

Leaving you with a photo of the front garden, lots of Bluebells in bloom and some Irises, can’t wait for the roses to start blooming. I didn’t actually plant the Bluebells, I planted lots of bulbs, but that’s what came up

Beautiful garden @Austina, thank you for sharing it.
Thank you for your kind words. Greg is at the beach house now working on the issue. I don't know what it is as I don't want to interrupt him fixing it. Hoping he can. Yes I don't love being vulnerable right now in pain but I am sure I will be OK. Thank you for your concern. I don't take baths here. Long story and even though we do have tubs here I am waiting til the beach. You would think I am crazy so just going to skip the reason why. LOL.

@springerspaniel good morning! Happy Sunday. Hope all is well with you and your family. Hugs.

Greg just called from the beach house.
Wow those little buggers! The raccoons did it again. Oy.

Before:
They ripped a hole in the roof and wreaked havoc. Lots of food gone and OMG what a mess.

Not bad for a quick fix. Those raccoons are incorrigible.

Here are the links to the 2 diamonds; I guess since they sold they won’t pull up in compare diamonds search anymore.

Really exciting Marcy! I can't wait to see these - they will be gorgeous on you

Happy Sunday to all!
@missy Greg did a bang up job on the feeder! I'm so sorry you're in pain. I hope those muscles relax and feel better soon. And beautiful pics also as always. Hugs to you friend. I sent my parents 4 boxes of merv13 filters for their masks weeks ago. And I have found out this morning they are using dryer sheets. I then sent them step by step instructions on how to use the filters. I love them. I just keep telling myself I cannot control them. Deep breaths.
I'm a little tired this weekend. Didn't get cookies made. I hope everyone is relaxing and staying well and happy! Keeping it short and sweet - hugs, love and sparkles to all :wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s! Thank you all for the compliments on my earrings.

@canuk-gal I keep thinking of running the swifter around but I’m not that bored either. Marty is cooking lunch today though so it will probably be necessary. Those gortex shells are the best aren’t they?

@Scandinavian I hope you are enjoying the view and a glass of wine right now.

@missy I am sorry you arm is worse today; my arm is more “lame” today than yesterday too. Sleeping makes it worse since I’m not moving. I wish I knew how to fix them for us; heat and ice don’t help me much and I am taking way too much Advil for it. Yes please add me to the book email list. Thanks. You do live in probably the worst spot to catch this virus; the population density and public transportation makes it so likely to be exposed. Wyoming has faired pretty well so far. Big hugs to you to with all you have on your plate. Darn those rascally raccoons; my sister tried to outwit them for years since they kept raiding her vegetable garden. They won. Lovely photos from your long walk.

@Austina that’s nice for Adam and Kim they can get deliveries so timely; our town isn’t very large but the pick up and deliveries are usually about 5-7 days out here. I hope if you chat with Shirley today she is doing well. Good idea to ask Whiteflash the size of the diamonds on their bangles. I went to see what they look like; they are very pretty. It’s hard to tell what you like until you see them and although I find my 4 carat bracelet a bit much I did get used to it wearing it. I haven’t dug out a bracelet probably since before Christmas though. I was wearing the one that had the little heart charm that was my moms but a diamond fell out so I quit wearing it. Your garden is lovely.

@springerspaniel I hope you are doing well.

@Niffler75 glad you beat the weather going for a nice walk. How fun for your son to pet that bird. Is it a hawk? I can’t tell. Darn you couldn’t get Chinese; but pizza is good as well.
@bling_dream19 cookies will wait for you. Relax and have a nice day.

I slept in until 7:30. I made pancakes and scrambled eggs for breakfast. I mentioned making them yesterday and Mr #rarelyeatsunhealthyfood declared them “crap” so I didn’t make them. This morning he wanted them.

I got the May article submitted to the paper yesterday and almost finished the newsletter for May today. It’s like working.

Take care.
Marcy

Girls I am really upset. Warning-do not read the below paragraphs if you might get upset. It's about Covid 19. So if it will upset you or might upset you just skip the next 4 paragraphs.

My aunt just called me with a "dire warning". She said her friend's daughter is an ER physician at a hospital in Philadelphia and she sees 6-12 deaths every single day of healthy young people. No preexisting condition. Fit and strong and healthy. And they do not go out to the store etc. The only thing they have in common is they were taking walks. Occasionally. This ER physician told my aunt under no circumstances to leave the house. Do not go to the supermarket. DO not go for a walk. DO not go out.

I am trying to put it in perspective and realize that most people survive but her call did freak me out a bit. She also said the ER physician told her the politicians are lying (that's not a huge surprise) and the statistics they are sharing aren't correct. More people are dying than we know and more of them have no preexisting conditions and are young and healthy.

I was shaken up after talking to her. She means well and I appreciate her caring about us. I don't want to bury my head in the sand. Now I have to take this knowledge and decide what to do. It might be too late for us anyway as yesterday's walk was too crowded. Today we are in because it is nasty out and very wet. I am staying in for as long as I can but we have to get groceries. When we are lucky enough to snag a delivery spot we still cannot manage to get all the supplies and food we need from that delivery so I don't see a way around it.

I am sharing with you because 1. I want you to know everything possible to protect yourselves. and 2. I feel better sharing with you lovely ladies.
(((Hugs)))

OK back to regularly scheduled programming.

@marcy ooh the earrings are going to be gorgeous. I cannot wait for us, erm I mean you, to get them. Ugh sorry about your arm. Yes it is so uncomfortable. Heat is helping me a bit. I don't know what doctor to even see if it were even possible to see one. I hope we both see improvement sooner vs later. This being uncomfortable all the time is getting old. Pancakes and scrambled eggs for breakfast sound divine. Glad you slept in this morning that is very sweet. Glad you are in Wyoming and staying safe. It brings me comfort knowing so many of my sweet friends are safe and sound. You are sure being productive with the article and newsletter. It is working lol but you do it like a champ. Speaking of champ hang in there. Sending you (((hugs))).

Aww I am sorry you are tired and hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. LOL re your parents and mine are the same. Frustrating but yes deep breaths. You can only do what you can do and it is good enough. You are a caring daughter. Maybe cookies next weekend. Thanks for your good wishes. As I wrote to Marcy above this pain is getting old. I don't like being in this much discomfort and not really sure what I can do but what I am doing. Heating and resting. I think all this resting and inactivity is making me worse but now it seems going outside might not be smart for us. At least in NY/NJ. Too many people here.

I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday and are spending time snuggling with your DH and just enjoying each other's company. Sending you hugs and love.

Off to play some more cards with Greg. Oh the excitement never ends here.

And just want to wish a very special person and friend who just happens to be a PSer -a very happy and healthy birthday. (((Hugs))).

@missy Is this virus mutating? There are supposed to be different 'strains' of this virus circulating I think. :blackeye:
I have been reading reports of healthy NHS workers testing positive even when they have been stringent using PPE.
I think with this virus and venturing out there cannot be 'no risk' at this time. For my sanity and my families we need to get fresh air every day.
I guess I consider walking local to our house where it is quiet 'low risk'. Obviously going to the supermarket is higher risk even if maintaining social distancing etc. We limit shopping to once a week. ((Hugs)) It is worrying!

GM lovely ladies and happy Monday. How did it get to be Monday so quickly?

It is mutating and one of the explanations why NY and NJ were hit so hard is that we have a stronger strain. But I believe it is all just conjecture at this point and in time we will see the picture more clearly.

I am with you. I cannot just stay inside 24/7 for the next 7 months to a year. It's not sustainable for us. Mentally and also physically because we need to go out and get food and we need to walk for physical health and mental well being. However having said that we are balancing it and going outside much less frequently than during "normal" times obviously. So while it is affecting my health (I am convinced all the neck/back issues are from being less active) I am trying to do it wisely.

The phone call from my aunt shook me up yesterday. The way she said it and not just the words. It does give me pause I cannot lie. Yes we would be safer inside all the time but we wouldn't be able to sustain it for the rest of the year.

I believe you are A OK @Niffler75 because you aren't living under the situation we are under. NYC is unique in that way. We have the greatest number of infections, greatest growth and greatest number of deaths. That just adds a whole other level to the darkness of this situation.

My thoughts only.

Hi to everyone else. Hope all is well and that everyone enjoyed a lovely weekend. Greg fixed the cat feeder yesterday morning at the beach house and then he went to Costco and got some more supplies. No TP though lol. Where is all the TP going?

Oh that's our phone-doorman calling now. Letting us know our Delivery guy is here. That should be our food delivery. Last night I got a slot for this morning and ordered some salad and TP. Not my usual TP but any TP will work. LOL. Hope the order is complete. See you later girls.

Leaving you this to remember. And sending you all (((hugs))).

@missy, thanks for the note, and feel free to vent/share concerns. I think it's all concerning right now. Boston is right at the peak. If I am going out, it's only to walk Pumpkin or do contactless pickup. And I stay the h#ll away from everyone and wear my eyeshade as a mask. I may have to start putting on the full strength mask (it's a full coverage NIOSH cartridge respirator). It's a PITA, but maybe it's necessary.

Oof, and those raccoons. My mom had one that got into her house. Ate the boxes that stored our Christmas ornaments. Ouch.

@Niffler75 I miss my takeout. I ordered my favorite Thai on Saturday night. I order 1x a week or less....but man, it was a treat.

I had a fairly productive weekend. A few loads of laundry, raked/bagged the remaining leaves, went to the nursery and hardware store (contactless), seeded the yard with grass/clover seed, bought a sink for the makeshift kitchen. As well as finding cheap cabinets, countertop and a steal on a Chicago Faucet faucet.

Backstory: I have a house that's been under renovation, including a 100% portable kitchen) for EVAH. Due to my previous travel schedule (used to commute by plane for 15+ years around the world) it never was finished....and I didn't mind because I was home maybe 72 hours a week. But with my job change, the lockdown and finally, when my portable DW died, I'd had enough (about 2 weeks ago). So I am planning to install a cheap short term kitchen (including a real sink, range and DW) just so I can freakin' cook without stressing out. If I end up blowing $2k for a house I sell 6 to 12 to 18 months from now, so be it.

Back to present day: Of course, Pumpkin is still limping (3 different people noticed it this weekend) so even tho his xrays came back 'clean' something is definitely amiss. Time to get a referral for a specialist.

There are a few spots in the yard (within the fenced in area) where Pumpkin likes to dig. Given he is not burning off his energy by running (he should be leashed or fenced in until his tissue issue heals) I should probably give up on the idea that the seed will hold in the doggy digging areas (as his paws were muddy from this morning's consitutional...and I can see the hole is no longer cleanly raked. Sigh). Don't know why but I have a desire to garden again (or at least attempt to)....so I've been researching battery powered lawn tools. And what to plant in shady spots.

Off to work. And order groceries. Or at least try to. Have a good day ladies.

Yes definitely Oof and ouch to the raccoons. My friend just sent me this.

raccoonsstrikeagain.jpg

LOL see those little paw prints? Not only are they smart and sneaky they are very destructive. Greg thinks they are malicious and do it on purpose. I love them though because well they are living beings too and deserve to be able to eat and such. It's just the feral cats cannot take care of themselves as well as the raccoons. And if we could I would feed all the animals outside.

@TechieTechie yes please protect yourself as best as possible. And be careful and safe and stay well. Sending you and Pumpkin lots of love. I hope whatever is ailing Pumpkin goes away and he recovers fully. I hate these kind of mysteries. Healing vibes to Pumpkin and hugs.

Have a good day at work. And hope you can get those groceries. The salad that just arrived is OK but not great. But it will hold us hopefully til we can get more. Good luck and hugs.

@missy Glad you are doing ok. Yes I thing I am suffering a bit from lower exercise levels and am building up my activity levels again. Because of the Ehlers danlos my muscles do a lot of the work that my ligaments and tendons don't due to defective collagen. If I decondition, my joints slip and slide all over, which ain't much fun! o_O
I think we would be managing things in the same way as you if we lived in an urban area. I think it's a case of accepting what you can't change and minimising risk wherever possible!

There is something in the news today about the NHS alerting people to a kind of inflammatory syndrome in healthy kids seemingly triggered by Covid 19. I think the numbers are low but health staff are concerned. I think this is another example of how we are on a learning curve with this virus!
@TechieTechie Hiya :wavey: Oooh I absolutely love thai food. In particular I adore anything with coconut in. Only problem is about an hour after eating coconut milk I have to disappear very quickly to the 'little girls room'. But it's almost worth it as I love it so so much......so unfair! :cry2::lol-2:
Sorry to hear Pumpkin is not well. Hopefully you'll get to the bottom of what is going on soon!

@marcy Your earrings are gorgeous! When will you get them? They match perfectly to your pendant. I prefer lever back earrings myself. I’ve had the wires push out of my ear from a scarf or high collared shirt.
I ordered another order that‘s also the same. They had some
packages with hot dogs...I didn’t want those because I get my own brand that’s lower in calorie and no nitrates. I’ll have to find out the nutritional info on them. This package did have the chicken fried steaks...Yes...They are higher calorie because of the breading but OMG they are so good.
That’s great that Marty has a plan to open his gym. I think you have way less cases so I can see it being done with caution like your hubby’s plan to limit the customers and providing hand sanitizers..
@missy I feel so bad that your pain is worse...Can you do a Telemedicine visit with your doctor? I’ve had neck and shoulder pain that was very bad many years ago I use to cry. The doctor told us my vertebrae was like an old shoe..worn out. He said I should not be cleaning things like the toilet where I have to bend over..or clean a bathtub.. I‘m wondering if it will act up again from having to clean the house myself now. Be very careful how much weight you pick up...Also, I found that reaching for things over my head...even lightweight things...would make my neck and shoulder spasm..I think you are being careful anyway because of your Osteoporosis diagnosis...
That’s great Greg was able to make it to the beach to help the ferals..It’s not great that you’re having the pain and really need him with you...Big...but gentle hugs! XO
@Austina I’m laughing about your “high on the hog“ description...I’ve heard that here too..So funny...I heard that we may have a meat shortage in the US because a few plants shut down because of COVID...I’m glad I ordered more from Omaha Steaks...I don’t get a large order because my fridge freezers are small..
I‘m excited to hear about your diamond bangle..That’s great you were able to return the Swarovski one. I have a lab diamond from Lightbox that I was thinking of making into a bangle....but not for a while. I notice Whiteflash doesn’t have much inventory in the size I would need if I upgrade the color of Summer. The more I have her the more I’m thinking of keeping her. The price difference would be astronomical...I think...I’m not sure because I never see one in the size I‘m looking for...I know they will do a custom cut..but I’m not sure what the premium cost will be...With this whole COVID thing I’m not in any rush to make a decision. The cost of the tax makes me want to do it in one swoop because you have to pay tax on the whole upgraded diamond. Maybe I’ll have it shipped to @Tekate and I’ll pick it up!
I‘ll be back..The crew is needy today...

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy sorry the news your aunt gave you was so unsettling. IMO scientists don’t have enough information and data yet about this virus so their models and projections remain in the realm of guessing. The CDC just added 5 or 6 more symptoms. The best any of us can do is control what we can.

@TechieTechie an eye mask is all I have too; I can’t imagine it would work too well for me either. You have been very productive. Nice. I hope Pumpkin gets better soon.

@Niffler75 I hope your nice weather continues so you can get out for walks and gardening.

@Mamabean I am excited to get my earrings but I figure they will take 2-3 weeks. I’ve had bad luck with wires too. Yes, Omaha Steak’s chicken fried steaks are good. Glad to hear you neck and shoulder pain got better by eliminating some things. Mine is waking me up a lot which isn’t good.

We have nice weather today. Woo hoo!!! Marty is grilling burgers right now. I have taters baking that are done tho - best go shut them off.

Have a great day.
Marcy

@missy I am hearing the same kind of news as you have from your friend - the very local newspaper of my home town has been publishing quite detailed case descriptions since there are few & getting fewer, so talk is of cases not theory. I have this story to give: of a 91 YO with subtle symptoms sharing a helicopter ride to a top ER with a 40 YO near death; the old man is a menthor to both my father & I, this is one man IDK to outlive & what are the chances.

NY seems so immense in these terms of life & death ,(((

-

I've dug myself in the garden these past few days - literally; my intention is to prepare the top soil for meadow 'transplamts', laughing at what a whimp writing made out of yours truly.

will catch up

_

Then, that pin is taking over my life - its price is astonishing, against everything I know about natural pearls; there is enough return for a hundred years. I would want to see the kind of pearls I love best, in a comparable setting - which is so much to ask as well.

day almost over - dark chocolate & Guiness

Hello lovelies

Oy @missy, that’s so very scary. One of the reasons we just haven’t gone out is that we were worried that if the NHS got completely overwhelmed with cases, they may get to the point where they have to decide who gets treated and who doesn’t. As Colin will be 70 soon, he might’ve fallen in to the do not treat category. Fortunately, our NHS has coped extremely well, and at no time, has reached full capacity, probably because people, for the most part, have heeded the stay at home order. We have already decided that when we’re allowed out again, we’re still going to be ultra cautious. Would it be better for you to pack up and head off to the beach house now, at least there, you can be outside without having to worry about too many people about? We’re in our 6th week of staying in, and whilst we miss seeing people and going out, at least we have the garden to sit in. I’m sorry you’re still in pain, is there any possibility it’s being caused by stress? I think my neck/shoulder problem was, I was so tense with everything that was going on at the time.

Those raccoons are destructive devils, but I’m glad Greg was able to fix the feeder for the kitties.

Thanks for the links to the diamonds @marcy, they look lovely and are a perfect size for everyday wear. What did you think about the sizes of the bangles? Did the 1 and 1 1/2 carat look really small?

Adam said he’s going to order more meat soon as he’s also heard there could be a shortage with some meat plants having to close. They’re enjoying all their food, and Kim is a very good cook, so they’re eating extremely well, Kim has even got him eating more vegetables @Mamabean. I think it’s a good idea to wait before making any major decisions about Summer, you have such beautiful rings to alternate with, and there’s bound to be a delay in the diamond supply chain starting up again.

Sounds like you’ve been very productive @AV_, it’s good to get back to nature to help you forget about what’s going on in the world.

Oh yum @TechieTechie, I love Thai food but haven’t had any in a while, what did you order? Sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate trying to get the house sorted out. I hope Pumpkin is doing ok, sometimes sudden onset lameness doesn’t have an explanation and just gets better, so I’m keeping everything crossed that all will be well with him.

Thank goodness spicy food doesn’t affect me that way @Niffler75, I’d be devastated not to be able to eat a good hot curry.

Hope you had a good nights sleep @bling_dream19 and are feeling more rested now.

That’s such good news that things have improved so much in NZ @Daisys and Diamonds , hopefully things will return to normal quickly and you’ll be able to find a job and be able to shop for everything you need.

Shirley didn’t show up for our usual Sunday chat yesterday, I emailed her and she said she had tried, but I think she just forgot. She wasn’t showing online at all. She emailed me twice a few minutes apart saying exactly the same things.

We had another delivery of food today, and also ordered a berry box, so we’ve now got mountains of strawberries and blueberries, as there was no raspberries available

I finally managed to get a delivery slot from our local nursery, so next week I’ve got lots of compost, bark and bedding plants coming so I’ll be able to plant up all my pots.

Happy Monday lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

@AV_, it’s good to ... forget about what’s going on in the world.

This is not so hard - I left years of life near politics behind, so news wash off my ears; I do not expect them to make sense less than five years ex post. Gestures of life have changed.

Days are so much shorter!

@AV_ nice to prepare your garden for some transplants. Great way to end your day - chocolate and Guinness.

@Austina I think the 1.5 bangle would be a great size. From what I can tell that size has 24 diamonds so they’d be about 6 pointers at 2.6 mm each. Enough to throw off sparkle and flashes for sure. I found 2 threads real quick on PS and they love that size. I am excited for you; if bangles didn’t drive me crazy I’d be adding on to my wish list. Yay for some berries being delivered today. We need fruit. That’s great you can get plants and flowers delivered for your garden.

@canuk-gal too funny the little buggers drink lager.

I lifted 103 pounds 15 times tonight. Woo hoo!!!

GM lovely ladies.

Agreed. I hope you get to move more and keep your joints healthy. This pandemic has far reaching consequences not just reserved to the virus itself. Keep active and feel good and stay healthy. I think where you live makes it manageable thankfully. How are Hershey and Oreo and your son doing? And how is your DH handling this new normal for now? Hope all is well and that life continues to be peaceful and calm. (((Hugs))).

@marcy woohoo for your nice weather. How were the burgers marty grilled last night? Those taters you had baking really caught my attention though...sounds yummy. Hope you had a good night and that your shoulder is feeling better. My arm/shoulder definitely feels better but it to use your expression it is still "talking to me" lol albeit a bit more quietly. XOXO.

@Austina you and Colin are being smart and continue doing what is working for you. I am glad you have a garden where you can at least enjoy the sunshine. Yummy to strawberries and blueberries. Those are the best berries. Sorry Shirley was a no show. Hope she is OK. Glad you got all your gardening items. I pulled my muscle and remember exactly when I did so unfortunately it is physical trauma related...it is a bit better but still nowhere where I need it to be so fingers crossed it continues to improve each day. I had a few days there I was in strong discomfort 24/7. Hope you and Colin are enjoying lovely weather and getting out in your garden each day. (((Hugs))).

@AV_ I hope you got to enjoy dark chocolate with Guiness yesterday. That is scary about the young 41 year old being so much worse off than the 91 year old. No rhyme or reason it seems but there is a reason. We just don't know it yet. Glad you are enjoying some garden time. Planting flowers is healing and seeing them grow brings hope of better things to come. Hope today is a good day dear AV.

HI:

@missy who knew those little buggers drank lager! ;)):P2

Greg did a great repair!

cheers--Sharon

Who knew indeed. Haha. They are truly suffering by us I guess since there has been no trash since we left in January...but hopefully soon we will return and they can enjoy some variety. Vs just the cat food they steal during the daylight hours. :cheeky: Have you gotten to enjoy some more cycling? How is your family doing? I hope your DH is attending to a honey do list. Sending you hugs and lots of well wishes.

@Mamabean sounds like all is going well by you thankfully. I am doing OK no worries. I hope it doesn't come to me needing to see a doctor over this. I am taking it one day at a time and will reevaluate as necessary. Thanks for your concern. It is wise to wait til you know for sure what bling projects you might want to undertake. You have quite a wonderful collection. I am scratching my bling itch by helping others and I think we found a dream OEC for a lovely PSer yesterday. Fingers crossed for her but I think it is a winner. I am sure if she gets it she will start a thread so I won't say anything more. Just a little tease. Is your dh coming this weekend to visit? How is everyone by you? Your mom, David, you? I am glad you are doing OK on food. Chicken fried steaks. Hmm interesting. Speaking of food I ordered Omaha steaks for my dad's birthday but it won't get there til Sunday so 3 days after his birthday. I hope he likes it. I am sad we cannot see him in person but hoping there will be a next year where we can celebrate together. I am glad last year we threw him a surprise 85th birthday. So glad we did. Hope your needy crew is giving you a bit of a break and time to yourself. Sending you big hugs and lots of love Joanne. Be well.

@Slick1 how are you doing? How is Chase? I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Are you looking forward to the end of the school term in June? I imagine yes you are. It's been challenging I know. Hope all the family is well and sending you big hugs and lots of love.

@Scandinavian hugs, hope all is well.

@junebug17 hope life is good at the beach and all is well. (((Hugs))).

@TechieTechie how is Pumpkin? Please let us know how he is doing. Healing vibes across the miles.
XO.

@springerspaniel good morning. Hope all is going well. Hugs.

@Keeliamira how are you and how is the family? Thinking of you and sending hugs.

@Poodles4me hope the weekend went well and you are having a good week. XOXO.

We played cards yesterday after we worked out and Greg had work to do so that was good. The rankings came out and he did amazingly well. Too bad there is no job security in that however but Greg was very pleased with how well he did and how well his department did because of him. Fingers crossed business remains OK so Greg has a job after all this is over.

Today we are venturing out for a walk. Despite my Aunt's warnings. We will be as careful as we can be and probably will go for a morning walk vs our usual afternoon walks because 1. Greg's work schedule is busy this afternoon and 2. maybe there will be less people out earlier though it is already not early here anymore.

Have a lovely day girls and hugs.

Leaving you with a beautiful sunset at the beach house.

Amazingly beautiful!

Hello lovelies

What a beautiful sunset @missy, I’m glad your arm is talking to you quietly, hopefully it’ll soon be a whisper, then mute! We’ve had nothing but rain today, it’ll be good for the garden, but not our nice clean windows :???: Good news that Greg and his team did so well, and fingers crossed when this is finally behind us, there’ll still be plenty of work for him.

Honestly, if we still had Dottie, we would be going out everyday, and our health advisers are still saying that it’s not essential to wear a mask, so you’re doing everything you can to protect yourselves and not take unnecessary risks. It does help having a garden to sit out in, and our neighbours are very considerate and make sure their kids aren’t too noisy.

Woohoo @marcy, that’s great that you’re already upping your weights. Thank you so much for your opinion. I think in all likelihood, we’ll go to WF to look, who knows when, I doubt it’ll be this year :(

Hi @Scandinavian, how’re you?

I don’t know if I mentioned we had a long FT session with Adam and Kim, and they’ve decided they’re not going to make any plans for the wedding next year, who knows what the situation will be. Adam thinks there could be be a second wave of CV, especially as they’re opening things up in Tx on Friday. They’ve also got the added complication that Kim’s Mum doesn’t have a passport, and with everything now being held up with the application process, well, they can’t really set a date. He thinks they’ll probably just go down to City Hall, then have a party afterwards. We’re fine with that, even if we can’t be there. We don’t think we’ll even get to Tx this year, not really much point going if we’re just going to sit there, and we‘d be worried about going to visit Shirley because of the baby.

On top of that, we could smell something odd in the orangery, and have just discovered that the fused switch for the underfloor heating was red hot and where the fuse is, that‘s all brown.

We‘re off for a sauna to relax before bed, and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

:wavey:

HI:

NIRDI shout out! Such a beautiful day here--had a lovely ride and sit outside in a secluded spot. People are out doing their lawns getting some fresh air and doing some work!

@marcy great on your lifting!!!!
@missy lol to the racoons not benefitting from your (lack of) garbage. Very good news about Greg, I hope he continues to work. Unsettling times indeed.
@Austina sorry about your son's delayed wedding plans, this CV has such far reaching effects.

keep calm and facemask on!

cheers--Sharon

Hi folks!
@missy wow what a beautiful sunset! I miss the beach. I am hoping to be able to go to the beach/shore this summer. Thank you for sharing what your aunt told you. It's been on my mind. Thinking about you friend and sending you hugs.
@marcy those earring are just going to be gorgeous and I can't wait for you to get them!
@canuk-gal Hi Sharon glad you're outside and enjoying the weather!
@Austina Yay for sauna night! I hope your floors are ok. I'm sleeping much better. No more canned coffees! I'll stick to the occasional Irish breakfast tea and pine for the day I can enjoy a cappucino at an outdoor cafe. I'm sorry to hear about postponing the wedding. It sounds like there will be many celebrations and that will be joyous.
Love and hugs to all and many sparkles! I have a new ring to share  working on pictures.

Ooooh @bling__dream19 new ring! Don't leave us too long without pics! We're a feisty bunch on here! ;)2

Here are my plans I sent off today to the casting company to work up CAD design.

@missy I wish worry were not a word; ,( Spain has prohibited leisure walks from the beginning, who can tell what difference did it make - there is no way to know: a couple of large cities are as bad as yours, Anadaluzia only just published numbers [Spain is intransparent] & there are a few death in this township of which I do not know anyone, but a neighbour does know of a friend of a friend.
It may well be that my work got me used to live with too much unknown out of which barely any argument can possibly stand [so one is ever excused], if not with having any dire decission to take out of it [I know what it takes to put out an open question - so this much I expect from whom I voted or not]

Good to see NIRDI not living up to its name. Fingers crossed!

There is a legal deadline for backyard fires at the end of the month, so I've been tearing down & burning ivy; this is as much sport as I can take & I do wonder how much could I lift? [kudos for passing the hundred, @marcy - how do you lift?]

I've just picked things from the house to cook (fennel risotto, after a paprika & dry pepper bean stew), so I am missing the grocers (I'll have to see if the feeling is mutual & put together a pasta primavera - this is the time)

Good night (I hope)

Sorry peeps! Hubby got home right when I was on PS. And there's always something to do ahh!
Now onto the bling....I just purchased this gorgeous emerald diamond ring set in platinum and preloved. I just love it! The green really glows and it feels so comfortable. My hubby loves emeralds and he's smitten with it. I will wear it when we go to Ireland someday. Thanks for the love and support and bling encouragement. Here is she is...and she'll definitely need a name. 20200428_082209.jpg20200428_082217.jpg
