Now I really did it :((

@missy We were writing in the same time [what else is new.] To me, just about anywhere feels safer than a NY street [incl. yelling at a friend on a deserted beach] - but then, look what I am used to!

Hi NIRDI’s.

if you have a moment I’m looking for ideas of things to write in a note or letter to senior citizens in nursing homes. My company is writing notes and scanning them to send to our nursing homes.
Any sentences or two will be helpful.
Thanks.
Marcy

Marcy I’m a bit dense lately. Writing notes to cheer them up? That’s a lovely idea. Do I have that right? Hmm ok let’s see.

Dear so and so, we are thinking of you and looking forward to seeing you as soon as it is safe. Please know you are not alone and we are but a phone call away. Here’s my number if you want to chat. (If you’re comfortable with that Marcy. I can understand if you wouldn’t want to share your number and chat with them).

Or Dear so and so, is there anything I can send that you’d enjoy? A book or a game perhaps? Here is a list of wonderful movies you might not have seen.

This is hard.I’m not sure how to cheer them up. I’m guessing that’s the goal.

Dear so and so, here are some photos of fill in the blank. I hope you enjoy them.

And if I’m totally off base please let me know and I’ll try coming up with other ideas. Lol I suck at this.

Just got back from our walk. Some pics.

Thanks @missy these are good. They are generic to anyone to hopefully cheer them up and brighten their day. We would not expect an answer just letting them know we are thinking of them. I am having a hard time coming up with more than a few sentences.
The lady that organizes these things even found me a card template with a teddy bear on it since she was pretty sure I’d help.
We will scan our cards and email them back to her and she’ll get them to the nursing homes.

@marcy How about a page of funny memes or cartoons that they’d enjoy?

@marcy how about some home baked cookies? That would cheer anyone up!

@missy I like that idea a lot. I’ll find some I Love Lucy and the Crabby lady. I can do that as a letter and a hand written note. Maybe look for an Erma Bombeck saying or too. Something light and amusing.

Good question. Don’t know. But my grandmother always likes things that are cheering her up by being amusing or just plain entertaining by taking her away from having nothing to think about. I think the elderly get bored a lot just like us if we have nothing to do.
So talking to your strong sides and / or interests: any interesting stars/constellations/sunny things coming up? Wordplay or rimes on stars and looking up and hope on the horizon? Pictures and actual cookies? Thank you for all you are doing for us all by hanging in there? Sorry I’m horrible.

Thank you @AV_ and I LOVE fennel. So much. The taste, the smell. Heavenly.
Enjoy a lovely lunch with those potatoes. I am a potato fiend. Sweet potatoes are my weakness. Especially the white skinned yams. YUMMmmmmmmm.

@missy @AV_
We are actually going to grow our own potatoes at the summer house this year! Already put them in the ground. Come on over and I’ll let you harvest a few <3

Hi everyone :wavey: Well the sun has been shining here in the UK and we have been celebrating VE day. We had a bit of music in the street with everyone social distancing of course.

We then had BBQ ribs for tea with oreo cookie ice cream and enjoyed the film Dora and the Lost City of Gold.

My son was awake extremely early this morning (like soooooo early I don't even want to tell you the time). o_O So we are all a bit tired and he has been a mega grumpy pants!

The weather and high pressure are wreaking havoc on my joints so having an achy day. Sending thoughts out to everyone lovely peeps, especially those who have not been well themselves, know someone who has not been well. Take care x

Thank you @Scandinavian this helps me too. I like the idea of maybe some stars / constellations info and maybe a puzzle. I love the idea of adding hope on the horizon tying in somehow. It is kind of hard thinking of more than a line or two.

I just thought of something else - Top 10 lists.

Hello to everyone! I am not on PS much anymore and I want to explain why. I pop in once in a while but I find it more distressing than enjoyable these days - not this thread I want to make clear. I have numerous people on ignore and some people I should ignore (again I want to emphasize that no one in this thread is on that list). There have been many upsetting threads lately and being a PS'r, it's hard to look away. Unfortunately these people span multiple sub-forums so it's hard to find a nice safe spot, except the thread Royal Jewels. K tells me I am too sensitive. As I mentioned in another post I am trying my best not to read too much news and focus on the positive. I find all the anti-mask stories from PS and around the media horrifying.

@missy - you can tell Greg that K has joined him in the ranks of men sewing. I am "sew" impressed with him. He has watched online tutorials on how our sewing machines work and how to make masks. He is modifying mask designs and enjoying trying different techniques. We even have plans to make a quilt this winter. I did tell him that he is not allowed to take any of the machines apart. If he wants to know how they work, he has to watch online videos. I could see that engineer's brain of his just itching to see the inner workings (lol).

K baked bread yesterday for the first time all on his own, with just a few tips from me. As he put it, we are cocooning. We are both enjoying that aspect of isolation.

The weather here has been very chilly and windy this week. K is still wearing his cap with earflaps when working outside. I make sure I wear a touque when I go for a walk. It's hard to enjoy being outside when you get pelted with flying dust and debris. The street sweepers have been out so it's somewhat better now. We're looking forward to when it warms up a bit more and we can have our morning coffee on the deck or front patio. We enjoy watching the birds in the backyard and plan on doing some more bird-watching and identification of species. I guess you could say we're just enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

On the bling side, my friend and jeweller told me my yellow diamond reset and new wedding band should be ready in a couple of weeks. I am not quite sure how I am going to manage this. I am missing my ring and am looking forward to the new design. I guess with a mask and all the precautions they are taking I should be fine. Plus they have appointment only shopping so I will be the only customer in the store. I am going to miss sitting in her back room, chatting, and having coffee while ogling the gems and trying on different designs. Somehow FaceTime calls just aren't the same.

@Austina , @Niffler75 - You'll chuckle at this. K and I just subscribed to Acorn TV on Prime. We also have a subscription to BritBox. I suddenly realized this is the only tv we really do watch. When we're on Netflix we watch programming from Britain and the various locales. Right now we're watching the very limited run of 5 episode of Mrs. Bradley Mysteries starring one of my favourite actresses - Diana Rigg. We named our one dog after her character from The Avengers. One of our favourite shows is Foyle's War. We started watching it again but somehow it seemed to hit to close to home these days.

So to all of you, continue to be well, or as well as you can be. I hope you, your families and friends stay healthy and happy during these strange times.

@marcy how about some home baked cookies? That would cheer anyone up!

Since nursing homes don't allow any visitors we have to send them things online. That would be nice though, huh?

Hi NIRDI’s!

@AV_ that’s nice it is green longer this year for you. We usually get brown by mid June; so far it’s not even green though. We haven’t had our typical May rain. Yay for getting teas delivered. Your prairie and paths look fun. Mmm potatoes.

@missy we still don’t know when we are going back to work here. If cases flare here I may wave the caution flag and try to stay home. The “theory” of the day is catching COVID outside is not very likely so enjoy those walks and try not to worry. Ice cream supplies are important, I picked up another carton of cherry chocolate today. Pretty pictures as always and love the leggings. That’s good the beach house is mostly stocked and you are heading there this weekend. Wow you might get snow - trust me I’ll see it at least one more time before summer. Mmm potatoes. I’ve been on a mashed potatoes kick.

@Austina you guys aren’t even allowed to go for rides? Marty immediately asked me when I got home today how many times I got over 100 mph on my errands today. Yes, our state has very few cases and deaths. That’s great numbers are going down there. I am guessing we’ll go back to the office by June. Marty lost one client is all during his closure but got 2 new ones this week. Nice to get so much done in the garden.

@Mamabean yay for some time for you. Omaha Steaks is listing quite a few things as unavailable right now. Ugh. Thanks for mentioning pizza; I just put my single cheese pizza in the oven. I’m starving. LOL to calling this “a movie’ and Groundhog Day certainly applies. I like your gazebo; it looks cozy. That’s great you do take some time for yourself at night. I swear when I started that I slept better and my BP came down. Yes Allie looks very pregnant.

@canuk-gal I ran errands today as well. It was nice to get out - running wild and free. Did it rain? We had chilly wind here.

@bling_dream19 nice to catch up with a friend and your dad.

@Scandinavian home grown potatoes. We don’t have a long enough growing season here for those. I bet they’ll be tasty. And yes I totally love your view.

@Niffler75 I am glad VE Day celebrations weren’t cancelled. Such an important day to honor our veterans. I hope you are feeling better (less achy) and your son gets a good night’s sleep.

@Poodles4me there are some unsettling threads. I get to the point I think of quitting PS because of the political / Covid threads so I’ll stay out of them. Then @Tekate’s story led to me reading them again and they have nasty and rude comments from all points of view. I don’t mind different opinions and beliefs and like to hear what people think but I don’t like the name calling and stereotyping people. It’s pretty poor. How excited about getting your yellow diamond set plus getting a new band. Cool!!!

So yes I ran errands - groceries, bank, got gas - what a bargain that was - and ran flowers out to the cemetery.

I had a heck of a time paying for my groceries, my phone wouldn’t recognize my masked face for Apple Pay and then I still had to touch (ewe) the keypad to enter my PIN. I had wipes in my car though. Ha! I found the mask a PITA too. I was too big for me and fogged my glasses. I wore it in to the bank and said ha ha I am wearing a mask and I want you to give me some money. The teller was amused (or pretended to be).

I totally enjoyed not working today even though I was still mostly at my desk.

Marty grilled chicken and I made mashed potatoes and a raw veggie plate. I never ate breakfast at all so now I’m starving.

Speaking of going 100 mph - the local news was just telling about a car chase where police chased a guy 30 miles sometimes he was going 100 mph - in a JEEP. Yes, I sad “that’s weak”. LOL.

Take care.
Marcy

Happy FriYAY my sparkly friends! Wow what a week! I'm soo glad it's the weekend let's party! come on over!
@marcyi just love that you took teddy with you on errands soo sweet.
@missy I'm enjoying you and Greg's fashionable shoes and of course your leggings! And the trees are just gorgeous. Really happy you'll get to be at the shore hopefully. My parents are the beach being non compliant. I think they are wearing masks so maybe not completely non compliant. Can't remember if I told yall my mom is using a dryer sheet as her filter in the masks. And this is after me sending them filters!!
@Mamabean is your hubby visiting you this weekend?
@Niffler75 how are you doing girl? Exciting about your ruby! I have a pear that I'm sending off within the week to have set in pendant so I'll be enlisting some help on the cads soon!
Love hugs and sparkles to all! Making dinner...broiled haddock, spaghetti squash with pesto, and sauteed power greens. I'm making Maryland crab soup tomorrow and a cheesecake...hopefully! I had a 3 pound brick of cream cheese in my freezer and I needed the freezer space. Hope everyone has a restful evening :kiss2:

Mrs. Bradley Mysteries starring one of my favourite actresses - Diana Rigg. We named our one dog after her character from The Avengers. One of our favourite shows is Foyle's War.
Love Foyle’s war! Perhaps I should try Mrs. Bradley too :-)

@Scandinavian home grown potatoes. We don’t have a long enough growing season here for those. I bet they’ll be tasty. And yes I totally love your view
Such a shame your growing season is so bad behaved! I grew up with home grown potatoes, carrots, strawberries etc. It’s kind of fun!

a cheesecake...hopefully!
I was actually just thinking about cheese cake! Found a new recipe that I would like to try! I’ll post a picture if I ever get that far today LOL

hello livelly NIRDI ladies
when it gets dark rush outside and look at the moon - its humungus and golden
and unlike the constellations we all see the same moon
stay safe out there
best wishes
Nicky

@marcy The kind of letter you put together is the kind of thing that I cannot do; I would have written "Tell me anything & I'll write back" enclosing appropriate material for the reply; I have the hardest time with writing unless it is identical to talking, a 'tad asynchronous [esp. the work ones - one week is norm] & no more.

@Scandinavian New potatoes are a serious treat just now. Let me ask: do you happen to have any raspberry bush nearby? IDK to live another year without picking through a thicket of them; only blackberries grow here & they dry as they ripen.

off to the market

Morning lovelies, and happy weekend!

It was a glorious day here yesterday, and we spent most of it outside. It was that perfect heat that was warm but not hot.

@marcy, I think your letter to the oldies is just right, suitable for both men and women and interesting facts for them to ponder. Technically we’re not allowed to make any unnecessary journeys, I suppose in case people have accidents and need medical attention. It’s OK for us, we’re not finding spending 24/7 together stressful, we’ve had plenty of practice over the last few years. That’s funny about the bank, I think it’s the one time the staff are glad to see people in masks coming in demanding money  Our banks stupidly did away with screens a while back, to make it more ‘user friendly’, personally, if I worked in a bank, I’d like the security of having a screen between me and a potential hold up, not to mention germs these days. That’s good news that Marty has picked up 2 new clients to replace the the lost one and a spare.

Hope you get everything you need at the market @AV_ enjoy your trip out.

Hi @Daisys and Diamonds hope you and Gary are doing well and the pusskats are ok.

Honestly @Poodles4me don’t bother with the other threads, the keyboard warriors are out in full force, and are too blinkered to see anyone else’s POV. Wow to your husband turning his hand to other things, and making a quilt together sounds really fun. Can’t wait to see your reset, please come and post photos for us to drool over when you can. Scandi’s recommendation of Foyles War is really good, we thoroughly enjoyed the series, and when it ended, they did a series of Foyles Peace. Another really good series is Bletchley Circle, about women code breakers during the war at Bletchley Park. Colin and I visited last year and it was fascinating to see what went on there.

Happy cooking @Scandinavian, yum to cheesecake, although if I eat any more, I’ll be bigger than The Mountain  Did you hear back from the jeweller about your ring?

That’ll be one hellava cheesecake @bling_dream19  I’ve probably mentioned it before, but Adam always wanted an Ebony & Ivory cheesecake as his birthday cake. It was white and dark chocolate, and if I could get chocolate digestive biscuits covered in chocolate too, it was a chocolate lovers dream.

Sorry to hear the weather has been playing havoc with your joints @Niffler75 , I think we’re due for quite a change in temperature from Monday, so hopefully that’ll help ease the pain.

Lovely photos of all the planting on your walks @missy, it almost seems incongruous seeing such greenery among the hustle and bustle of the city. The azaleas are out in full force here too, and our rhododendrons are bursting in to flower now. Safe travels to the beach house this weekend. I think if you’re far enough apart from your friends, and outside, there’s little to no risk at all for you. There’s speculation that the 1 hour only outside time will be relaxed on Monday when BoJo makes his announcement, and some relaxation of the stay at home rule too. Another lovely day here today, but it’s all change next week, so looks like no more sitting out for us. Yum to being well stocked up with ice cream, definitely an essential :lickout: We’re getting a small freezer delivered on Monday, so once that‘s here, we’ll be able to order some goodies, including ice cream:D

Have fun with Shatzie today @Mamabean, even though you’ll be social distancing. The gazebo turned out lovely and the little cafe set looks perfect. Adam didn’t need a px for the test, he found the facility online and just booked it. It was about 30 mins from where they live, and he said the roads were eerily quiet. A lady at the gym he went to had CV, as did her 3 children, quite badly, but thankfully they’ve all recovered. Her husband didn’t have any symptoms, but also tested positive. He’d had a persistant cough, so was interested to see if he’d had it. Your DIL looks ready to pop!

How’re things going @Tekate, any update when you’ll be breaking ground? I know you can’t wait to get going and get it done, so you can finally settle down there. It’s going to be stressful enough to move, so there’s no way we could deal with having a house built. That’s IF it ever happens, so much is up in the air, so we’ll have to see what the situation is when we finally get through this.

We’ve got fruit and grocery deliveries due today, who knew it’d be the highlight of the weekend  ?

Have a great weekend lovely NIRDI, we’ve made it through another week! :wavey:

GM lovely ladies! Happy Caturday Saturday!

@bling_dream19 yes you did tell us about the dryer sheets. LOL and Oy. Parents. Moms. We do the best we can do. I shipped a gift to my mom for Mother's Day and it was supposed to arrive yesterday and I just received a notice it was delayed til Monday. Sigh. Whatcha gonna do. Your dinner last night sounds so delicious. I would enjoy that. Hope you and your DH enjoyed the yummy dinner you prepared. Thanks for the compliments lol I don't even remember what shoes Greg was wearing. Going to the beach house today and no clue what clothes/shoes I need there because I don't remember what I have duplicated. Greg keeps telling me to stop relying on my memory and write it down. But then I forget. :twirl:
Hugs and happy Caturday Saturday.

@Poodles4me wow I am impressed K has taken up sewing. It is nice to have a handy man around the house. Enjoy the fruits of his labor. Especially that bread. Yummm to freshly baked bread by K. I totally understand about needing a break from all the news and unhappy events and of course you and I will remain in touch PS or not. You must do what is best for you and we totally understand. Oh please send me photos of your new bling when it arrives. I am so excited for you. Hugs to all of you.

@Mamabean ooh have fun with your DH today and hope you have a wonderful weekend. XOXO.

@marcy lovely letter to the senior citizens at the nursing home and it is sure to brighten their day. And haha teddy is a good driver isn't he? I love mashed potatoes. I used to enjoy mashed Cauliflower and it really tastes so good and is good for us. Hmm maybe I will see if I can get some cauliflower next time we go food shopping. It is a good alternative to mashed potatoes. In the meantime I eat my weight in sweet potatoes every week. #notkidding About work I guess you will take it one day at a time as we have been doing and see what happens. And reevaluate when the time comes. It is good your state has a very low number of Covid patients. Hugs.

@Tekate Great Kate the wise and wonderful... Hope all is going well and that things are progressing with the new house. Thinking of you and sending hugs and love. One day at a time. XOXO.

@Keeliamira continuing to send lots of healing dust your way and wishes for successful doctor appointments. Hope the family is doing well too. Hugs.

@Scandinavian lovely photo. So peaceful and serene. Hugs.

@Jimmianne we will be over as soon as we can. You can see in person how challenging Oliver (and Gracie with food OMG she might be worse than Oliver) can be but I have a feeling for his Auntie Jimmianne he will be on his best behavior. Glad everyone there is being respectful and smart. It doesn't surprise me. I am relieved you are doing well and in a safe place. (((Hugs))).

@Austina woohoo love that you purchased an extra freezer. Very nice. Especially for that essential ice cream supply haha. And sweet you got another delivery of fresh produce and groceries. Yummy. Sorry the weather might change but you can still enjoy the rain. I hope when we get to the beach house we can get outside every day if possible. One issue is that people in NJ are not wearing masks so that makes it more risky perhaps than NYC but we shall see. Hugs.

@Daisys and Diamonds yes it was a beautiful full moon this past week. Hugs to you and hope you have a wonderful weekend Nicky girl. XOXO.

@AV_ so happy your tea was delivered and yay for yummy potatoes. A treat indeed. Hope all your shopping trips are successful and that things continue to go smoothly. Hugs.

@Niffler75 and @Austina happy VE day. Hope you and your son and DH are doing well @Niffler75 and enjoying your new bling too. Hugs and have a happy weekend.

So the owner of the place where we got married died from Covid 19. So sad. He was sort of famous around here. The nicest man. He was 82 but he definitely had life in him and coronavirus cut it short. :( We visited him a few times in the past 2 decades (not far from where we live) and he was always so gracious. Inviting us to dinner and dancing on him. Very sad he has died and I feel for his entire family especially his wife.

My essential ice cream delivery did arrive yesterday as promised and it was all there so that was sweet. Lots to do today before we leave and lots to pack despite Greg making a few trips back and forth already. He is doing laundry here this AM so we have no laundry left when we leave here. And I have to pack up all my meds etc which is no easy feat. For me and the kitties lol. It is cold and dreary outside right now. Might be social distancing with our friend later at the shore but not sure I want to...Greg thinks it is safe but I am not sure though I already told her we would be there today. She lives abut 45 minutes from us so not a quick trip. She lives where we used to have a beach house before we moved to our current beach house. I am not sure if she is bringing her DH but if so he is a wild card and I am not sure he would respect social distancing and he is a hugger so that is a concern too. LOL sorry I am just writing all my thoughts down so please ignore.

Have a happy Caturday Saturday lovely ladies. Hugs to all of you.

Our friend Simon shared this with us. His father drove the car for the VE celebration in his home town yesterday.

ETA: OK I cannot share the video with you til I download it to youtube so just sharing the photos Simon sent us for now.

@Tekate, I hate that you were so hurt and it's great to have you back. You are kind, warm, and funny and were very missed. <3. Your zest for life energizes me and you have the best sense of humor! I'm thrilled for Cara and Mike on buying a home. Love the pic, such a beautiful family and you are truly blessed. So glad everyone is doing well. Good to hear Chris is good. dd is hanging in there in Hoboken. Trying to get her to go to my house in South Jersey but she hasn't so far, stubborn thing! Ugh to the pool being so expensive but you can add one later on. I'm sorry you need shoulder surgery but I"m happy that you will be free from all the pain. We do have a pool so we can easily get away with not going to the beach. When we do go we just walk down, look at the ocean for a bit, and then come back lol!

@marcy, I have been rotating my rings too, in an effort to avoid buying something...which I really want to do LOL. I hope things work out well for Marty at the gym and it's great he got two new clients. I really hope your son's friend is ok, very scary. Will be interesting to see if you head back into the office. Dh's office is remaining closed until June 4. He is getting together a plan for when they open and I will share your company's protocol with him. I love what you came up with for your nursing home letter, I really think the seniors will enjoy it. Very nice thing to do. LOL to the pic of your teddy, I guess we all need to get out once in a while!

@Poodles4me , I decided a while back to make PS my happy place so I avoid the threads that I know will get contentious. Sometimes taking a break helps too. How exciting your reset and band are almost done! I hope you post pics. I would think if you take all the precautions you will be fine. Hopefully the weather warms up soon so you can enjoy coffee and watch the birds on your deck, that will be lovely.

@missy, so glad your family is doing ok! Everyone in my family is good too, thank goodness. It's nice you are heading to the beach, the change of scenery will be good and being outside will be less stressful. And being by the water will be very calming. I hope your doctor's plan works out for you; sometimes these things do involve a lot of trial and error. Yes, being without our kitties is still very hard; lots of reminders here of Zoe and dh and I miss her a lot. I agree that in some ways time has gone by so fast; it seems like yesterday that we lost our furbabies. Beautiful pics of the city! If you take precautions with your friend I think you should be fine. That said, if you are feeling uncomfortable about it, maybe you could tell them since you're coming from NY it would be best if you isolate and hold off on the visit? Just an idea, and it's a valid reason lol!

@bling_dream19 , great news about your dh's bp! Good luck with work. Very nice that you caught up with your dad and a friend. Wow, your dinner sounds wonderful! Like a restaurant lol. I need to start getting more creative with dinners.

Hi @Mamabean! Very glad David and your mom are doing ok. I know it's challenging for people to be together all the time and I hope you can figure out ways to get a little time to yourself. So sorry about your friends and your dh...I wonder if it would be worth it for Shatzie to get the antibody test to see if he had it. Your gazebo is absolutely charming and the repairs look great. Your dil looks so beautiful! so exciting that her due date is getting close.

@Scandinavian, your birthday pic is so adorable. Thanks for the day brightener! And what a beautiful pic...and I did spot the dog lol.

@Niffler75 , sorry you're achy and I hope the next few days are better for you. Ribs, ice cream, and a movie sound like a good way to cheer everyone up! I hope you and your family got some sleep and are feeling a little more rested.

@canuk-gal, I'm really sick of cooking too...dh and I are doing take-out tonight and I'm so excited lol! I'm glad your ds is doing ok with his dental work; it stinks that these root canals sometimes require several visits.

@AV_, I hope you don't have to wait too long for your teas. Shopping is quite the adventure these days. Such lovely pics of your walk to the grocer, what a beautiful place.

@rainwood, thanks so much for sharing your experience and for all the helpful info. I'm really sorry you had to deal with all of that; must have been very alarming and scary for you at times. I'm really glad you're doing better now.

@Keeliamira, I'm really sorry you're dealing with seizures and I hope the center can help you. Your new ring is beautiful! What a gorgeous color. Those paintings are just beautiful, love all those shades of blue.

@Austina, it's a shame the brooch didn't work out but I'm sure you'll find another. Looking is a big part of the fun lol. I'm so glad the numbers seem to be getting a bit better, hopefully a sign of good things to come. Great news about Adam's test and it will be interesting to see how your antibody test turns out. And it's good that you can do it through the mail; don't think that's available here. Yum to lasagna, truly one of my favorite foods. I'm glad the weather is good for now and you're enjoying some time outside.

@Daisys and Diamonds , Tibby is so cute! Making rum balls was a very clever idea lol, thinking of you and Gary. Funny you mention the moon; I noticed a lot of moonlight coming into the house the other night and spent a little time just gazing up at the moon. It was very calming.

Everything is fine here. My dd's boyfriend is anxious to see his parents so he went for a test before he visits them. they are doing outdoor tests in Hoboken and are including people who are symptom free. He got his test result while he was there, took 20 minutes and he was negative. DD got nervous and didn't get one. They both did the antibody test and are waiting on the results.

Not much else new...everyone is good and I'm trying to stay busy. Some days I do more than others lol. Sending good thoughts to all!

Afternoon everyone, I hope this weekend is as restful as possible for people.
@junebug17 Hi lovely, feeling a bit better today but have been hiding from the sun. Unfortunately I am like a walking barometer and can usually predict the weather based on how I am feeling! o_O
@Mamabean Ah family,we love them but Ooooh sometimes........! ;)2 The repairs to your gazebo look great. What a lovely outside space!
@missy Hope your journey to the beach house was smooth and the fur babies are ok. How long are you planning on staying for? Continued thoughts for you, your health and that Greg's kidney stones behave themselves! You are torturing me with tales of delicious ice cream. It's my kryptonite, well that and bling!
@Keeliamira Holding you in my thoughts and wishing you the best for upcoming appointments!
@Tekate Hope you are keeping well. I am avoiding certain threads on PS and am aware there are people with strong opinions. To be honest I can be doing without the hassle!

Well today i have been sanding and painting a balustrade that is original to out house as it needs a bit of TLC. I have done some gardening and we have watched a family film.
Not sure what our plans are for tomorrow but will be able to get out for a longer walk as the weather will be cooler.
My ring for my lab ruby should hopefully be cast next week.
Here is a picture of a sunbathing butterfly from our garden! =)2

I just posted this in another thread. I wanted to say thank you to MakingtheGrade and other physicians and health care workers. It is a touching video that makes me cry. Some of you may have already seen this video from Voices Rock Canada. If I have already posted here before please forgive my foggy brain (lol).
