Now I really did it :((

Morning friends!
@rainwood thank you soo much for your informative post. I am so glad you made it through what sounds like Covid 19. You were smart to do your research and get supplies. I think I will try to find a oxygen monitor. You have a good heart.
@missy sending you hugs friend! My heart is sad thinking about the mgt of thyroid and bones. I wish there was not a trade off. I wonder if there is a different thyroid med that won't compromise alk phos and bones. Dr. Izabella Wentz is a pretty good Hashi resource. Feel free to disregard if info overload. Anyhoo, YES to brighter times ahead in the Jersey shore and icecream! The place where my hubby used to live, has offered 2-3 nights for us to stay this summer and of coarse I want to see you! We just don't know if we will go this year or next year. I'm glad you're getting ready to go to the beach. That's your happy place. Your kitties are looking gorgeous and Greg is the bomb!
@canuk-gal your emeralds are GORGEOUS I love your ring in particular.
@Austina sorry the bangle didn't work out, but you have such a good attitude and you're right, there's many others.
@Tekate Happy to see you back Kate the Great! Your house plans are so exciting!
@marcy glad to hear you are rotating your rings...I do the same. Today, I'm in my calming lavender spinel. And glad to hear you slept in! We got great news today! Hubby's bp has always been high and today it was 121/80. I am thrilled to pieces. He's on a great supplement plan, lots of walking, and sleep and it's helping. I wish he could work out at your husband's gym.
@junebug17 yay glad to hear you're wearing your bling too - it really brightens the spirits! I hope yall are enjoying the beautiful beach.
@AV_ thinking about you and your dear friend.
Hi @Daisys and Diamonds love all your kitchen creations!
Love, hugs and sparkles to all!

@bling_dream19 how wonderful your DH's former neighbors have offered a place for you both to stay should you so choose...one day at a time and I guess your decision will be clear. And if that turns out to be next year so be it. Whatever date it is there will be a date. So it's a date! LOL. (((HUGS))).

Leaving you with a photo you may remember...
happier days gone past but definitely happier days to look forward to.

Missy yes it's a date lol! Yum that icecream looks delicious and I just miss that beautiful town. I was soo happy there. Brighter times ahead

Good morning everyone! Shout out to all of the NIRDIs and their furkids. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday.

@Keeliamira oh you made me tear up, thank you.. so very kind of you.. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your words and all the NIRDI's words.. lucky me...

@Daisys and Diamonds oh Nicky! thank you so much, lucky Kate the GREAT and her wonderful friends at NIRDI's.

Thank you so much, lucky Kate always LUCKY Kate. xoxoxoxoxo

@marcy thank you girl.. so happy to be here and see and read what is going on with you thank you sooo much for caring, lucky Kate!

bbiab gotta read the rest of your post!

xoxoxoxo

@marcy Hey, we had fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and we are having it again tonight! I love Alfredo anything.

@Niffler75 Oy! what a beautiful ring this will be.. gosh I love it. I love tension settings AND I'm with Missy, I couldn't read a ring drawing if my life depended on it (ok maybe my life :) ) gorgeous ring,. beautiful stone.. oy. again.

@rainwood THANK you for all that information and time Rainwood, my husband bought a oximeter about 3 weeks ago and we take our oxygen level every day, I am usually 97 down to 93.. hubster is always 99 but I was a former smoker and have a bit of copd I'm sure (wheezing etc).. thank you again. I sincerely hope you feel better every day.

@missy Missy me darlin! (lotsa Irish movies in my far past ;-) ) I am glad Greg is status quo on the stones.. Callie had them last year or the year before? gosh time just moves doesn't it? Of course I am going to become maudlin and I'm sure most NIRDIs are waaay sick of me telling you how much I love you, how lucky I am to have met you and Greg and had coffee and spied on Bubbalah! that gorgeous stone. gosh almighty.. I want it, but I want you to have it more :) (for now ;-) ) NOW is not the best time for me to advise you to get a new endocrinologist but Missy you should be able to get your results ONLINE and be able to go in and talk to your doc.. Why is he worried about Alk Phos per se, I guess he/she? is fully sure it's your bone alk phos, (gotta run the GGT test which is so touchy that I hate it, most docs don't use it anymore except to differentiate between bone and liver).. If he/she is correct then weighing your life options and what is most important to you is foremost, it's great to have strong bones but it's not great to be feeling meh all day every day.. I trust you will do what is best for you.. Ya know why you have the best husband ever? cause he has the best wife everah and everah! love you the mystical, magical, mightly Missy.. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

@junebug17 I think of you all the time, special June, a kind, beautiful heart and a good person.. xoxoxo - you have a pool right? so you don't need to go to the beach, unless you are up north? I am getting readjusted and starting to read here again, it was good for me to reassess my postings on the other threads.. a New Kate the GREAT for others but the same old Kate here. hope EVERYONE is good June.. xoxoxoxo

@Keeliamira I so hope your appt goes well! sending love to you! xoxo

@Mamabean hey! how's things! missed you.. hope you and your boy are doing well and sorry that Chris had to leave his program but it does sound as though he's doing the right things Joanne.. (((((hugs))))) and more HUGS to you ((((mamabean)))) xo

@Austina miss you lady and all sounds good in England.. how's Colin doing? again I MISS YOU.. right now I can't even see Auti because Mike is just not allowing it, he loves his old mama. xoxoxoxo

Today we meet with the builder and probably sign and give up some money!

hopefully we start soon..

love you guys

Hey my Jersey girls, did you read Chris Christie's take on consigning us to death! ha he is an ass--le. :)

Hey my Jersey girls, did you read Chris Christie's take on consigning us to death! ha he is an ass--le. :)

I didn't read about this yet but I HATE Christie. Just like DEblablablabio (what I like to call him lol) I do not watch or listen to him generally. I focus on Cuomo and Murphy who thank goodness are smart men with common sense. Not perfect but they are OK in my book. Christie and DeBlablablabio not my cup of tea.

I forgot to attach this! here's my son and his girls! xoxoxoxoxo

Gorgeous!

HI:

LOL @Scandinavian . Those pooches" staring at the cake sitting in their chairs!!! Sorry for your ring troubles--and hope things are easily rectified.
@rainwood I am happy to hear of your recovery. Take care!!
@Tekate 90K seems awfully deep (steep LOL) for a pool!!! Eyeyiyi

I friend called me for a walk today. She is a sweetie. Nice to gab with someone "else" for a change.

Put on my hazmat getup for the market.:roll2:

cheers--Sharon

@Scandinavian happy cake day! I love the poochies! @Tekate congrats on signing on e new build; how exciting!

So I may have jumped too soon on the new ring... after further investigation, I think it may be a natural spinel due to what look like tiny graphite crystals in it, and not a ruby...not 100% sure either way but I’m happy with it regardless.

As for the commissioned painting, here are a couple by the artist that have long since sold. I’m commissioning one similar in style, about 3 feet by 5 feet, with the main colors being Prussian blue and deep teal.

GM lovely ladies! It's wonderful Wednesday.

@Tekate thank you for your wonderful (always) wishes. Great Kate the wise and wonderful. Greg unfortunately is quite experienced with kidney stones. This is now his fourth bout in 30 years. Every 10 years til now. 1989, 1999, 2009, 2019 but now 2020 so more frequently. We have to figure out why he is getting so many of them. The urologist said when he is 80 this could kill him so we have to figure it out and stop it.

And I always welcome your input. My endocrinologist is very nice and probably more knowledgeable than most endocrinologists. He also admits that there is much the doctors do not know when it comes to thyroid issues. And I appreciate that honesty. We spoke for 20 minutes yesterday via phone and he is always willing to work with me even if he doesn't completely agree. This time I decided I would try it his way and reduce the Cytomel and see what happens. He did say I might start feeling unwell and if it continues to call him but let's see how it goes. I am seeing him the end of June (hopefully Covid 19 or anything else won't mess that up) and we will re evaluate. His hope is that reducing my T3 meds will lower my bone specific Alk Phosphatase. I am skeptical and also not sure I will do OK on even less than I am taking now but we will see. I wanted to try it his way before going on OP meds which is my other option and I will probably have to go on OP meds anyway. Sorry for the long winded explanation but thank you for caring. My dear friend. (((HUGS))).

I LOVE that photo. Beautiful family. :kiss2:
How did the meeting with the builder go yesterday?

@springerspaniel hello! Hope all is going smoothly. (((Hugs))).

@Austina how are you doing? Hope you had a good day yesterday. XO.

@bling_dream19 thank you for your advice. I always welcome anything you want to share. I read her books and found them helpful. My endocrinologist is refreshingly honest. He said thyroid is very understudied in endocrinology and much is unknown about thyroid disease. There are theories and we are trying one of them out now. Truth be told I am not that optimistic but hoping for the best. It has been over 2 years and we haven't figured it out yet. I appreciate your brainstorming on my behalf. (((Hugs))).

@Scandinavian aww what a gorgeous cake and gorgeous furry babies. Did the cake taste as good as it looked? Glad your mom and grandma are doing well and hope your grandmother's infection is almost all gone by now. Sending you lots of hugs.

@canuk-gal glad you enjoyed a good chat with your friend the other day. I find it very uplifting chatting with friends and I have a few friends I speak with daily. It is always nice to have that connection. I hear you re the hazmat suit and the supermarket. It is a bit unnerving going shopping these days. Hope it went OK yesterday shopping and that you found everything you wanted and needed. XOXO.

@Keeliamira I am glad you are still happy with the ring. I love those 2 paintings. Gorgeous colors. Prussian blue and deep teal. Swoon! I cannot wait to see the painting you commissioned. How long does it generally take? Hugs.

@Daisys and Diamonds hope your week is going well and sending you lots of love.

@Mamabean thinking of you and sending you big hugs. Hope your son and mother and DH are doing well and that you are feeling good.

@Slick1 hugs and good vibes being sent your way. XO.

@junebug17 hope you are enjoying a wonderful week. XO.

My endocrinologist called me as promised yesterday morning and we were on the phone for 20 minutes. I explained the details of the call to Kate above (if you are interested).

Greg and I enjoyed a good walk yesterday despite having to dodge too many people who were not wearing masks. The weather was beautiful yesterday but today is rainy. Starting to migrate to the beach slowly. Greg is bringing some supplies over and we might head there for good this weekend. But it is all still up in the air.

Leaving you with 2 photos from our walk yesterday.

Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday lovely ladies. XOXO.

Hi girlfriends....I hope to be back later today...I just wanted to pop in to say hi...that I love you all...I’m up to my eyeballs taking care of my crew...My mom is a PITA and we are together all the time which is stressful. I don’t have any time to myself. I’ll have cheese with my whine ;) I do pop on and off to read some of your posts to make sure you’re all okay...I occasionally pop into the Covid thread to depress myself..haha..and now I’m worrying about Mrs-b being very sick. I check in on her too..
Don’t forget me..haha Big hugs! XO

@Mamabean How could we forget about you lovely lady? :mrgreen2: I've not been on this thread for a few days either and have been v worried about mrs-b. I wish I could do more!

@missy I am glad you got to speak with your Endocrinologist. I'm sorry he has not got definitive answers for you but he sounds very open and honest. I guess what I have learned as a nurse is that medicine is as much an art as it is a science and sometimes management of medical conditions needs to be by trial and error.

@Keeliamira I absolutely love these paintings and the colour choice for your commission. It reminds me of the swirls in an malachite chrysocolla.

images.jpeg-4.jpg

@bling_dream19 Back to sleeping much better now. I go through short phases of insomnia then everything goes back to normal.
@junebug17 @Scandinavian @Tekate @AV_ @Daisys and Diamonds @Austina Hi everyone, continuing to keep everyone in my thoughts!

Hi NIRDI’s!

@rainwood what an ordeal you went through. Hope you are doing well now.

@AV_ so it gets to hot everything dries up? We get that way here; I call that time of year crunchy because walking on dead grass and weeds makes crunchy sounds.

@Keeliamira yay for getting bedroom furniture. Good luck with your appointment in a few weeks. I am sorry to hear you had so many seizures this past week. Fabulous find on that ring; great color on the ruby or spinel. How exciting to commission a painting, Very cool.

@Austiina darn that brooch won’t work but I am sure you’ll find something lovely soon. Enjoy the nice weather.

@Daisys and Diamonds baking to keep warm is a good idea. I haven’t had rum balls in years. Mmm.

@missy such a tough decision on what to do from your doctor’s advice but glad he took time to talk to you and I hope trying his suggestion works great for you. Over the years I sure noticed that with my mom - she’d get something to fix on medical issue and it gave her 2 other ones. You’d think when you fill out those forms of what conditions you have and what medicines you take they’d consider all those things, A good pharmacist is more likely to catch interactions than the doctors. Great kitty and ice cream pictures. Beautiful trees. I hope you can get to the beach this weekend.

@Scandinavian I hope the jeweler can get your ring fixed quickly. My sister cracked her diamond and it sure resembles yours. I totally laughed at you raising the bar on food pictures. That cake looks delicious and of course the Furbabiies are enjoying it as well. I was whining to my girl friend today I wanted cake, she made one last night and ate a piece in front of me when we were playing cards online. I called her a name.

@bling_dream19 ooh a free trip to the shore this summer sounds fun. That is awesome about your DH’s BP dropping. Lifting does help that for sure. I love your lavender spinel. I am wearing my Yogo sapphire / blue diamond ring today. It’s a 3 row band of tiny diamonds (1/2 ctw) and 3 - 3mm stones on top. I had 3 teal yogo sapphires but one cracked. I finally had a blue diamond put in it since the color matched. I never could find a like color sapphire.

@springerspaniel I hope you are doing well.

@Tekate Alfredo is delicious. I had some cheese raviolis today; they did not hit the spot. How exciting to go pay some money and get the house building process started. Sweet. Love the picture of your kids with their new house. Auti is still exceptionally cute.

@canuk-gal LOL to putting on your hazmat suit to go to the market. How nice to go for a walk with a friend.

#Mamabean you certainly deserve some wine. Sorry you don’t get any time for yourself. When I was working 90 hours or more a week (work and teaching) and was getting totally frazzled I finally made myself set down for at least 5 to 10 minutes before going to bed by myself. I’d look through a magazine, or read a few pages or a book or knit. It really, really helped me. It often meant I went to bed later than I should or wanted but I was glad I started doing that.

@Niffler75 that stone does match the colors in those paintings. Very cool. That is why I bought my first teddy bear - his colors matched our living room.

Had a few crazy days with work; I felt like I was in the office. I keep sleeping in later and later; I'd better knock that off - when I have to go back to work it's going to be rough to get up on time.

Corporate is letting about 50% of their employees back in the office. You have to check in from home or the parking lot and indicate yes or no to 12 symptoms. Then you show that at the gate and they take your temperature. You record it while they watch you and submit. if you get a green check you can go to work. You have to wear masks. There are restricted entryways. We have to use hand sanitizer once you get in the door and rub it on both sides of your hands for 30 seconds. Hallways will be marked for one ways (where available). Only one person in the elevator at a time. They said they'd post bathroom restrictions per site. You can't bring in food to share. You can only use the break room in your section of the building. We could maybe go back next week.

Marty is at the gym. I played cards online today with a friend of mine during lunch. Her 16 year old son was sent home from work Sunday with a fever so she finally had him tested yesterday. 2-6 days to get results. She is staying home but her husband went to the store last night. Scary times.

Take care.
Marcy

@Mamabean I've heard this before, that cheese works with wine, but not really with my beloved sweet wines - they want 'colac' & 'cozonac' [so do I!, tbd. - the first is Jewish, the letter a sweeter version filled with a paste of ground nuts & dry fruit] or just their own company [we are so alike, sweet wine & I - now that I see it]. Try, if you find oddities fun at times.
I never knew what to say or do to one mother who did nothing to me, so we did nothing to one another for thirty years & it was good.
_

@marcy Yes, much of the year is dry here; I am used to a couple of months of green from late October/November to march, but this year is different - there were late rains throughout April & there still are some showers announced for this weekend; everything is different.

[call]

GM lovely ladies!

@Tekate Great Kate. Hope the week is progressing smoothly. Any updates from the builder?

@Slick1 hugs, hope all continues to go well and I am keeping good thoughts for Chase.

@canuk-gal how is your son doing? Have you been able to cycle more this week? I am not sure how I feel about us cycling since it is so crowded in NJ and will be more crowded now the beaches are reopening. Hope all is well and that everyone by you is maintaining good health. Hugs.

@bling_dream19 hello, hope your week is going well and you guys are doing well. Hugs and lots of love to you. Hope work isn't too crazy either though it is good to be needed. XOXO.

@junebug17 good morning. Hope everything is continuing to go well. I cannot believe it is already May 7th. Wow. The winter flew by. If I think about it the entire 12 plus months have flown by for me. I don't know if you feel the same but for me it just sped by in a way but in another way no. So much has happened and on one hand it feels like it's been forever but on the other like just yesterday our furry babies were here with us. I digress, sorry. I am feeling a bit sad missing our sweet babies. Back to the present. Hope you are enjoying a lovely week and all is peaceful. XOXO.

@marcy where are you in the work force? Are you going back to the office anytime soon? I hope you can continue working from home. Perhaps you can request that? They do seem to be doing a thorough job to try keeping their employees safe and that is good. Yay to Marty being in the gym at work. Oh no about your friend's son. Scary times indeed. I am glad you are sleeping later. Don't worry about having to get up early for work until you need to. LOL that's right. I am talking about living in the moment which is not my usual MO. I mean I aspire to that but truth be told I worry about the days to come. I however am working on that and am taking each day one at a time. It's all we can do. Enjoy the extra sleep while you can. Thank you for always liking my pictures. I enjoy sharing them with you and appreciate you taking the time to look. XOXO.

@Niffler75 wow those swirls in the malachite chrysocolla are amazing. What gorgeous vibrant colors. How are you today? Hoping the week is going well and that you are all maintaining calm and a sense of happiness and joy. Hugs.

@Mamabean we could never forget you sweet Joanne. I am glad you are enjoying cheese and whine (haha) and don't worry. I feel we are all going to be A OK. Praying we will be. Mrs B seems to be on the mend thank goodness and I think she is going home today fingers crossed. How is David? How is your mom? How is your DH? Is he still visiting? My dad's Omaha steaks came yesterday (finally after a delay) and he is delighted with them. Hugs to you.

@AV_ I enjoy spring showers. It brings a sense of renewal to things if you kwim. Hope your Spring flowers are enjoying the rain and hope you are as well. XOXO.

@Daisys and Diamonds hugs to you. Hope you and Gary are well and that life is treating you sweetly.

@springerspaniel sending lots of well wishes and hugs your way. XOXO.

@Poodles4me hello there friend, hope all is proceeding smoothly and everyone is well. Hugs.

@Keeliamira thinking of you and hoping your appointments all go well. XOXO.

@Scandinavian hope all is quiet and well by you. I am still thinking about that cake. Haha. Hope the stone in your ring issue will be easily fixed. Hugs.

Greg and I enjoyed a lovely walk yesterday. Longer than we expected to be out. Just hope we are safe and not risking our health. I do worry but I also need some fresh air. Greg just left for the beach to drop more things off. It's crazy how much we have to bring but it is what it is. Now we have to go (as long as we don't get sick) soon as all my supplies are at the beach house lol. I sent all my ice cream ahead haha. They don't sell it at the beach so I had to transfer what I have here to there. But that will run out. I enjoy my ice cream what can I say. Anyway he is then going to Costco to see if they have TP and other supplies. If not we are OK for a bit at least.

Leaving you with a few pics of our walk in the rain yesterday. It is very lovely walking in the rain. As it is walking in the sunshine. I enjoy the change of weather and I will enjoy our change of scenery soon. Two friends from the beach contacted me yesterday oddly enough. As if they knew we were coming soon. Butch (our cycling friend) who told us he and his wife are in all the time eating and watching TV and he is longing to go cycling but he is afraid to right now. And then our couple friend L and J who have a place in NYC and at the beach. They were in Australia when Coronavirus hit here and got back just in time. Anyway they have been at their beach house since they got back and are remaining there. They are walking 4 plus miles a day. They take the back roads to avoid crowds. So there are options though the beaches are reopening and I think that is an extraordinarily bad idea. Sigh. The (non)wisdom of our politicians. :/

OK onto some pretty pics. Have a great day girls. Love you.

The officials have blocked off some of the streets to motor vehicles so that was nice.

Hugs and happy Thursday all.

Hello lovelies

Another glorious day here, so we took a drive to give the car a run, I know we’re not supposed to, but we’ve been very good and decided to be rebellious

I love the colours you’ve chosen @Keeliamira, and I do like art like that, makes you think and imagine what you can see in the picture. Hope you’re keeping well and upbeat until you can get your appointment.

Just love the expectant look on the pooches faces @Scandanavian, I know and miss that look so much.

Woohoo @Tekate, great news about Chris and the house, do they having a moving date yet? I’m so excited for you to get started on your own house and hopefully by the time it comes to the pool, the companies will be looking for business and be offering better rates. We were supposed to be in Austin now, so would’ve loved to see your plans and discuss them with you :(

Isn’t this weather fabulous @Niffler75, amazing to be able to sit out in the garden so much this early in the year?

I read that your state had one of the lowest rates @marcy so I’m not surprised the company is easy people back in to the office. Will you be going in, or are you going to stay working from home? Have Marty’s previous clients gone back to the gym yet?

How’re things there @Daisys and Diamonds, are the shops better stocked with better prices yet?

Continuing to think of your elderly friend @AV_ and hoping they’re doing better.

Sorry life is stressful for you @Mamabean, you really are an angel, and I hope you’ve got a nice weekend to look forward to. Did the builder finish your pergola?

Did I read you may be heading for the beach this weekend @missy? I hope so, because I know it’s such a happy place for you, although I also know it’s tinged with concern over the kitties and your own health issues. You have a real dilemma juggling the issues and I suppose you can only try lowering your meds and see how things go. Rock and hard place come to mind, and I wish I could help or offer anything other than good thoughts that you’ll find a way to get through everything that’s ahead.

We had a busy day yesterday, we started weeding the big flower bed in the front garden, I say ’we’, I mean me, and Colin started spreading the chipped bark in the areas I’d weeded. After that, we went to sit in the back garden, and our window cleaner turned up, so we came in while he did the windows. I had a long conversation with my friend Sue, and the day whizzed by.

Adam went for his antibody test yesterday, and the results came back negative today. He said it was really well managed at the test centre, nurse in PPE, and nobody else in there when he went.

I’ve ordered the same test online, and it arrived today, but I won’t do it till Monday as it should be sent off the same day, and we’ve got a holiday weekend with no post till then.

I made 4 individual lasagne this morning as Colin was waiting for a parcel to be delivered. It’s like a Dr’s office here now, BP machine, Pulse Ox metre, Infrared contactless thermometer, and today he got a ECG monitor. He told me next time I went to the toilet, he needed a urine sample from me

We’ve just come in from the garden to watch the daily update. The rate of infection is below 1 here now, they’re saying .6-.9, so that’s good news, and there are lots of critical care beds available, so hopefully we’re winning the battle.

Can’t believe we’re almost through another week, where‘s the time going?

Hope all the lovely NIRDIs are doing well, @springerspaniel @Poodles4me @canuk-gal

:wavey:

Good afternoon! David has a movie in...My mom is quiet for five minutes...I hope you are all well...
@missy I’m happy you are going to your beach house..I know you said it was up in the air but if Greg keeps bringing everything there you won’t have anything to eat in Brooklyn...Do you have delivery service there...or will you just go to Costco? I miss that place. We have a Sam’s Club here but I‘ve been getting my groceries at Giant through Instacart. I’m happy your dad likes his Omaha Steaks gift. I ordered two more orders as soon as I heard there may be a meat shortage. I usually don’t eat red meat more than once a week but we probably eat it two to three times now. It’s only lean beef so we should be okay.
I’ve been enjoying all your photos...I think being outside in fresh air is perfectly fine. I don’t understand why people are so selfish that they won’t wear a mask to protect other people. It’s frustrating. The house across the street from us is rented by a few young people. They congregate on the steps outside very close to each other...going in and out of the house. Of course they aren’t wearing masks. They must laugh at me wiping down my groceries wearing my blue latex gloves with wipes. One of them was very nice to my handyman offering to carry the ladder off the roof of his car into my back yard because Stan is older...I kept thinking he was exposing Stan but there wasn’t anything I could do because it was too late. I opened the door to tell Stan that it was really nice of the young man to carry his ladder but he was exposed. He said he thought of that but he didn’t want to be rude. I never want to be rude but I will put my hand up and say stop if someone gets too close. I even did that to my husband and we had a good laugh...
Thank you for asking about David and my mom...They are both fine. My mom is my mom...You know the saying if you don’t have anything nice to say be quiet..haha
For whatever reason this just sent so will pick up in a new post...sheesh

Hello again...I wish I knew how the post posts itself without me doing it...
@Austina You cracked me up reading about all your medical supplies...and that Colin asked for a urine sample...
Wow for making four lasagnes..I’m making a large sheet pan pizza tomorrow and Saturday for Shatzie and Chris. Shatzie will come again on Saturday..He’ll bring home his pizza and drop Chris’s off at his house. Each sheet pan pizza takes six cups of flour so I go through a lot...I mentioned it before but in addition to the two bags of flour equaling 50 pounds....I also have a 12 pound bag I picked up at Sam’s Club at the beginning of this movie.
That’s great you have a beautiful garden to relax in with Colin.Did you get your plantings that you ordered? I tried to find a nursery near me that would deliver...No luck yet. It sounds like you got a lot done..
That’s such good news that your government is doing such a good job getting the numbers of the virus down. I wish we could wind things back and get started earlier...but it‘s out now...What a nightmare it’s been..
Did Adam think he had the Coronavirus? Did he need a prescription from his doctor to get it? It’s amazing you are able to order the test to take at home...I don’t think we have that capability now..Do you know @missy? My friend and husband both had a terrible flu in December. They had it at the same time.. She said she ran a fever with chills, coughing and terrible exhaustion. She has diabetes and is overweight so two risk factors...She’s fine now but she said it took her a long time to get better. Her husband slept for sixteen hours a day when he had it..He is immune compromised...He developed pneumonia in addition to the same symptoms my friend had...His doctor was calling him at home daily to check on him. I think he had it..My husband didn’t have a cough or fever but he had congestion and developed pneumonia. We wonder if he had it..I know I didn’t get it...When he was sick I wiped every handle he touched and wouldn’t get close to him. It’s a nightmare when I get sick because of my mom and David...I did have a one day runny nose..but that’s it...so I doubt I had it.
Yes..The handyman put a new roof on my rustic gazebo. Its crudely made with tree limbs as posts...The roof was original...The shakes were so horrible..It looked like a tiki hut..haha...A former owner added benches and bracing...To tell the truth they didn’t do a good job but because the house is from 1905 it just goes..I kept the original copper flashing that turned a lovely shade of green. I bought a little bistro set to put inside along with a rug. The floor of the gazebo is terrible with paint splotches and terrible brick work. The historic foundation won’t let me replace anything so I just make due..We've been having terrible weather so I’ve been keeping the bistro set on the little porch off my kitchen for now. I’ll get Shatzie to put it in with the rug this weekend. I’ll take another pic then...

@marcy I do exactly as you said you did when you were working so much. Shatzie and I watch our shows together..Then we say good night. At that point I sit and listen to the news and try to unwind before bed. I usually read everyone’s posts on PS...and then head to bed. To tell you the truth I feel like I’m living in the movie Groundhog Day..haha
Are you going to be one of the people that are going back to work? It sounds like they have a good plan...
@Niffler75 Thank you for not forgetting me.
I really enjoyed the photos you posted for mrs-b. What a beautiful place to live. How’s your son doing?
@Scandinavian I‘m so sorry about your pink diamond. It looks like a cracked one to me. I had that happen with a diamond..It took on a gray opaque appearance. It will be easy to replace...Its such a gorgeous ring...I love your description of it being a pink tutu..so adorable.
I love the cake! I’m craving some carrot cake..What kind was it? Cake and wine..Yum! I love the way your dogs were paying attention! You couldn’t plan a better pic if you tried..
@Tekate I love how happy your son and his girls look...So sweet..Auti’s pig tails are too adorable...Do you get to see them from afar? I’m going through withdrawal. Allie is due June 18....but the baby is so big there’s a possibility that her due date is earlier. In any case she said that because the baby is so big they will induce her in five weeks if she doesn't go before then. She sent me this pic yesterday...She said she has no more room..haha

I’ll be back later to finish...I’m so long winded..

HI:

Errand day. Picked up some takeout (Viet) as I am SICK of cooking. Looks like it might rain.

@missy thanks for inquiring after my DS. He had stage two of his RC today and the dentist said it was technically difficult because two of the four roots were curvy. But he was happy with the way it turned out he said. It will need to be crowned--next month.

@Austina you have more supplies than our hospital!

This lockdown is burning a hole in my brain. Just what I needed another hole in my head.

cheers--Sharon

Hi friends! It's a nirdi shout out! Its been a long few few days at work. I am thinking about everyone and sending my love and sparkles! I had a great convo tonight with a friend and I communicated well with my dad. Gotta sleep love and miss you all!

Happy FriYAY girls!

@Mamabean that is the plan. Heading there this weekend. And weirdly enough another friend (third friend from the shore in 2 days and no one knew we were planning on going there this weekend which is what makes it strange) texted me and asked if we were coming to the beach house soon because she was dropping a kayak off to a customer's house this Saturday near us and wanted to "social distance" with us and hang out. Of course at first I was excited and then started worrying because how safe would that be? I told her I wasn't sure which day we were coming and would let her know. Oy. Am I being ridiculous? If we stay apart and just chat in the backyard would we be safe? Plus the weather this Saturday calls for rain/snow/wind so not exactly outdoor weather for hanging out in the backyard. LOL and Oy Vey. So I guess we shall see.

Are you going to get antibody tested? Maybe you guys already had it. That would be great actually because then you are probably "safe" for the rest of the year though no one knows for sure if one is resistant but hopefully once you get it you are OK for the rest of that year.

Haha we are the same with putting our hand out to say stay away.
And as for saying nothing when one has nothing good to say...Roger that.
I am glad your mom and David are well and hope all remains peaceful by you.
Thank you for enjoying the photos I share here.

Yes most of our supplies and food are at the beach house so hopefully our plans to go there are not thwarted. Anything can happen so I never say definitively we are going there til we are there. But that is the plan.

The weather is turning nasty but we had a good run of nice weather. Might take a walk soon early this AM since the rain will be here in a few hours. I just ordered another Amazon Fresh order (my last one for a long time since Amazon Fresh does not deliver to the beach) and it is an all ice cream order. Hope it actually gets delivered because I have a weird feeling about this order and often my weird feelings are right. Should be interesting to see what happens. All my ice cream supply is at the beach house now so I want to replenish it here. Of course we don't need it here now but if I have it here once I run out at the beach house I could come back here and get more in our freezer if I replenish it. Too hit or miss at the grocery store here. OK I have gone on way too long about ice cream lol.

I am glad your DS is 2/3 the way through but sorry it is proving more challenging. Hopefully his crown will go smoothly next month. Lots of dust being sent his way.

I hear you. My brain is turning to mush. I have to do something to energize and activate it. I signed up for the GIA courses but have zero motivation. ZERO. The courses started for me this past Monday. IDK why I signed up for the courses so early because I have no intention of doing it now. LOL.

We have rain coming in today as well and it might be combined with snow. Wow right? @marcy is generally the one who gets snow in May and maybe you too at times?

Hugs!

@Slick1 good morning. I cannot believe it is Friday already. How are you? How are your kids? And how is your furriest sweetest kid Chase? Hugs and love to all of you.

@bling_dream19 yay for catching up with your good friend and having a great conversation and also a good chat with your dad. Yes you have to sleep and hope you are having sweet dreams right now my friend. Hugs.

YUmmmmm to lasagne. And yay for a good chat with your friend Sue. Glad Adam's test went well and that the center was careful and professional about it. Your gardening sounds lovely. Great news about your infection rate being down and lots of critical care beds available if necessary. Good luck with your tests. Please keep us posted. And no I cannot believe how fast the time is going. Scary fast. Though I do wish we could just FF through this pandemic and be on the other side of it already. Hugs.

Yesterday was super busy for Greg. He went to the beach house to drop more supplies off and then to Costco and back to the beach house with those supplies. He got home in the afternoon and we had a good walk and are planning one this morning before the rain comes hopefully. Have a happy FriYAY all. And hugs.

@Niffler75 good afternoon to you. Hope all is well and sending you hugs and love across the many miles. Any weekend plans?

Hi to everyone else. Hope a good week was had by all and today will be a good day too.

Leaving you with some photos of our walk yesterday.
It was in the high 60s F and it was very sunny and warm.

Continuing to think of your elderly friend @AV_ and hoping they’re doing better.

So do I. I hear every day that he is still in hospital & no more. It is impossible to get more detail. It seems that he never spent any significant length of time as an ICU patient, but is under some other kind of treatment. In good health, he is stronger than I!

@Mamabean Count me surprise that you could live in the same house with pneumonia and NOT get it! This is the one art most worth teaching now.

@missy I hope you will have only the best of last summer again - the biking & the icecreams: from my side of the screen, you two were as distanced from everything as it gets during those rides.

-

Laugh if you will: this is the first time I order anything to this house [a serious supply of teas], deliveries are slowly becomming non-exotic here since they are a need for many - such a change! Most shopping in 'appointment only' - no small luxury [why have it any otehr way in a village?]

I took the long way to the grocer this morning:

- the giant fennel is taller than I,

Screenshot_20200508-113003.png

some of the small version will garnish sauteed new potatoes for lunch.

-

All the best to all who are reading!

Thank you @AV_ and I LOVE fennel. So much. The taste, the smell. Heavenly.
Enjoy a lovely lunch with those potatoes. I am a potato fiend. Sweet potatoes are my weakness. Especially the white skinned yams. YUMMmmmmmmm.
