Now I really did it :((

@missy I hope you don't mind me saying but I feel better your being at the beach house. Just the fact that you were able to out for a walk and take your masks off must have been amazing!
I am waiting hearing back from the casters about my ring.
is Gracie settling in any better? How are you feeling in yourself?

this spell of not weather here has reminded me we are heading for summer, and while most people I am sure are looking forward to this, summer for me can be a nightmare due to his my body reacts.

I'm off to see if I can get onto the GIA course I signed up for. Will be back later! :mrgreen2:

Thanks @Niffler75 I so appreciate your caring about me. I feel the same about you.

Gracie is setting in very well thanks. Feeding time is still crazy around here with Gracie and Oliver behaving like wild beasts but generally Greg takes that responsibility so I don't have to because they are scary at feeding time. I signed up for all the courses starting last Monday but have ZERO motivation to do any of them and decided I won't put any pressure on myself if I don't want to I won't. I signed up thinking it would motivate me but no such luck yet.

I hope the warmer weather doesn't bring an increase in your symptoms. I get it and same here. I don't have the same challenges you do but I understand in a big way how you are feeling. So many unresolved health issues can be exhausting and when one looks "normal" on the outside many people don't get it. The overwhelming exhaustion and the almost constant (low level usually sometimes it amps up though) pain is a lot to bear. But one day at a time and I wish for you an easy summer.

Sending you hugs and love and lots of well wishes always.

Here is a photo of Gracie (middle) and Bobby and Tommy making themselves at home on the bed. Excuse the wrinkly comforter and sheets. I left them in the dryer for 4 months lol so that's what happens. And we are not ironing our sheets or comforter. I guess it is good I am not OCD and that proves it.

So my cutter has turned his attention to the interesting colour change YAG material I have mentioned before. He has cut me a 4.5ct (8.5mm) stone using Voltolini's Sakura design, which is based on the Japanese cherry blossom.
He has admitted he is not the best photographer, but here are the pics. I will post more when it arrives. He has modified the cut to add more facets as the material is flawless.

I vote for the pink sapphire..I love that ring.. they are all wonderful Marcy :)

Bling vote - which one do you like. 2 left ones are ruby / diamond accent bands, the next band is multi sapphire diamond accents and the halo is a peach sapphire.

Hi, hi!!!
Thank you my dear @missy for inviting me over again!

How is everyone doing? Is it the GIA essentials you signed up for? They are fun, they are a piece of cake, the exams are nothing to be afraid of. Most people here have more knowledge than what is taught but I personally always like to learn new things when the topic is something I love. So don’t worry, just enjoy it!

Yeah the House remodel is very tiring yet a welcome distraction from daily life drama that I certainly had my share of this year. It is always good to find something positive to focus on. Sometimes I feel less than ideal motivation too. I mean like now. I am supposed to clean the third floor bathrooms and somehow I just cannot get myself to do it.

Bling is another way to distract myself. This week I will have my birthday ring done, I hope. Lately everything is emeralds for me. This will be a three stone with orange diamond sides in rose gold. But I am awful because my birthday is only in June and I already reserved a lot of small but top quality Colombians as well and kind of know what I am going to pick. I cannot believe myself because I am just getting my birthday ring done but now I am picking a second Emerald for another ring and just commissioned emerald studs too. Oh momma. I always find good excuses but this way I am feeling better now and that has to matter too.

I missed so much here but will try to follow yet again! I hope once travel is safe we can do an NYC get together with our lovely Missy! I sadly would have even had to come this May but now I am glad I said nothing to @missy because that is obviously not happening as soon as I had hoped it would. Oh, well, it will though, just later!

@marcy peach sapphire halo all the way! Love it!

@missy Good morning Missy m'dear! I am with @Niffler75 I'm glad you are at the beach also.. I truly think the breezes blowing, the wind, the sound all make a person healthier, salt water air, and the view is of course, perfect, I too agree with @Scandinavian that now that you are back at the beach the pixs of the ocean! (altho her's are awesome too!).. it's wonderful to see everyone's summer/other homes near the water - comforting.. How's everyone? Aw on the Gracie Frances on top of the armoire! she's beautiful... so sweet.. how's all the other kids? How's Greg feeling? Jeeze Louise on all the hours he must use to get the bike ready, but I know he's a safety first guy.. gotta love him for that and many other things.. how are you feeling Missy girl? I'm good except my shoulder pain thing but eventually this summer or fall a new one will be thee... As you know we did social distancing with masks with Mike and family for mother's day, they gave me a gorgeous, fancy Bundt cake with raspberry filling, it is delicious! I wish this would all end, it's so sad to me.. to be so close to my family but so far, to worry about Chris every day.. it's really old for this old babe :) ha!... Miss you Missy.. Katie is good, she put up the most lovely picture of my sister holding her granddaughter from 2013, it broke my heart.. mother's day is always bittersweet when your own mom is gone, the first year after my mom died, I couldn't walk down the aisle at the HEB store.. now I just feel nothing on it. Missy my crazzzzy mom. But all she taught me good and bad I carry in my head and heart. :) Now a big support on never ironing your sheets, your comforter and kidds look purrfect. WOW on that Maple.. that is gorgeous.. the street you and Greg were walking on is so Green Missy, while we all get sick of rain, that beautiful dark green is so appealing and lovely!... xoxoxoxoxoxo

@Jimmianne What's new in France? how's the kiddoes? how are YOU? xoxo

@Austina Hola! how's your son? how are you and Colin? miss you guys. xoxox

@Niffler75 what a gorgeous stone.. wow.. what are you going to do with it?? Def yellow gold I'd say (for me anyway!).. xoxo

@bling_dream19 whoa! what a cake.. xoxo do you make it NYStyle? with sour cream and graham cracker bottom? it was SUCH a treat to go to the city when I was young and get cheesecake (or jello) or Horn n Hardardt cafeteria's.. long gone time but oh the memories of cheesecake! :)

@marcy I bust out laughing at the 'muscle building pix'.. so funny!

@springerspaniel happy Monday Springer... hope you had a fantastic weekend and a great week coming up. xoxo

@Keeliamira how's things Keeliamira? think of you every day... have a great week. xoxo

@junebug17 Hi Miss June.. happy day after mother's day! sending love to you..

@canuk-gal Happy Monday Sharon!! xoxo

@Poodles4me happy Monday!!!!

@AV_ good afternoon AV! hope you are well and enjoying the spring! xoxo

@Mamabean how's things your way? I love (again) the picture of your updated gazebo... your weather must be lovely now! hope the son's and grandson and DIL and soon to be new grandson and Shatzie are all well and happy Joanne and of course! you too. sending you love.

So far the pool guy hasn't sent us a bid.. I hate pool people I really do.. long story but let me just say, most are shady.

Went over to Mike's for mother's day and had a lovely time, 6 feet apart, if I went in the house I wore my mask and washed my hands asap. it's such a bizarre time, I couldn't pick up Auti and she crawled over to me and pulled herself up on my lawn chair, I felt so sad.. she's a sweetie! she's talking so well.. nana (for food) caaat (for any animal) and crying for anything else :)

here's another pix of the house and my day with my fam yesterday. Happy Monday everyone.

another view of house, I think this is the one we are going with, the pool is a bit different, there's the outdoor kitchen to the left of the pool. Going to sign contract today. :)

How does she get up there...? (I’m a dog person lol and seriously wonder about this)

Hello lovelies

@marcy, what a decision. I like them all, but FWIW, I like the second ruby band, I wouldn’t be disappointed getting any of them, but I just prefer the bezel setting, just so easy to wear. To the weightlifting bear, I hope he washed his paws and used sanitiser after lifting!

I’m so glad you were able to enjoy a mask less walk @missy, doesn’t it make you feel good getting fresh air without worrying about other people invading your space. I couldn’t remember if Gracie had ever been at the beach house, but she looks like she’s making herself right at home. Even I’m not ironing the bed linen at the moment, and I’m usually a stickler for nice crisp sheets :D I’m not even making the bed, the advice is throw the windows open, pull back the covers and let the place air, so that’s why I’m doing. I don’t go in to the bedroom during the day, because I can’t bear to see an unmade bed. I know what it’s like going away for a few weeks, so planning for being away for several months must be even more difficult. Hopefully you’ve got everything you need for now, and can get anything you need, when you need it.

Sorry the weather causes you problems @Niffler75, it’s definitely been cooler here yesterday and today, although none of the predicted rain so far. Love your new stone, it’s really pretty, both the cut and colour, what’re your plans for it?

Hi @springerspaniel hope you’re doing OK.

Congrats at @Sunstorm what lovely news, and something positive to look forward to.

Yum @bling_dream19 that looks absolutely delish! :lickout:

What on earth is that woman’s problem with you @Tekate ? I don’t comment on the political threads, but oy, talk about a dog with a bone  I think the house is going to be great and I’m looking forward to the time when we can actually see it for real. We’re all fine, and I’m glad you got to spend time with Mike, Cara and Auti for Mother’s Day, your new avatar is lovely. Adam and Kim FaceTimed and we had a good talk.

@Scandinavian, a lot of Spinone owners will tell you they’re part mountain goat because of their climbing antics, although I’m not sure they could’ve got on top of the Grandfather clock

Hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed your visit from Shatzie @Mamabean.

Nothing new here, the freezer was delivered today, they said between 9 and 12, and yep, of course, they arrived at just after 12, we could’ve had another hour in bed

Hey @junebug17 hope you’re enjoying your time at the beach.

Minor changes to the lockdown, but nothing that will affect us, we’re still not going to the supermarket while we can get deliveries, although we can now drive to places to exercise from Wednesday, which we might do as we’ll be able to go to less (hopefully) deserted places to walk around, I wish we had Dottie to take with us :(

My antibody test arrived (did I already tell you that?) so I’m doing that tomorrow to post off, I have to ‘milk’ my finger to get the blood out, they need quite a lot. We’re disappointed Adam tested negative, because they were due to come in October, but I think it’s doubtful they will now.

I’ve made enquiries about a lovely Deco bracelet I found at a jewellers in London, so that’s a possibility and something to look forward to. Details were very sparse on the website, so I cant’ tell you anything other than it’s w/g & platinum.

08CD8827-CC2C-4077-A268-F829393BCB5A.jpeg

Hope all the lovely NIRDIs enjoyed Mother’s Day, we’re off for a sauna now, so see you tomorrow :wavey:

Oh and here's the cheesecake...its delicious we just had a piece after lunch. Its chocolate chip cheesecake!

oh come on! That’s just plain mean posting a cake looking that good...

@Scandinavian good morning lovely. You will see more beach pics from me indeed. And I always love your photos too. Hope your weekend went well and that your Monday is off to a good start. Hugs
Doing floors this weekend LOL will post pictures later maybe tomorrow.

Once we realized we could easily keep away from people we removed our masks.
I hate masks! Had to do a “stress-test” for ECG to prove I’m healthy for my life insurance WITH A HOSPITAL MASK ON. Thought I would die from lack of oxygen LOL. I swear it had like a rubber lining to keep any nasty little drops well inside

Sunrise this AM from the beach bedroom terrace. It's lovely
. I signed up for all the courses starting last Monday
What courses? Must have missed this but very curious

. I guess it is good I am not OCD and that proves it.
LOLLLLLLL

So far the pool guy hasn't sent us a bid.. I hate pool people I really do.. long story but let me just say, most are shady
Understand your pain, building can be a real ****inthe***

another view of house, I think this is the one we are going with, the pool is a bit different, there's the outdoor kitchen to the left
Looks incredible!

altho her's are awesome too!).
Thankzzzzzz (snake in Harry Potter LOL)

@marcy, I love the halo... and the rubys

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

@Tekate Great to catch up on your news and see photos. I have a few ideas for the sakura stone. Something nature inspired to match the stone j think.

@Austina Hi, love the art deco bracelet, gorgeous. It's been much cooler here and more tolerable. Am I the only person praying for a cool summer? For July and August I feel like I have to channel Dracula! o_O

Hi @Sunstorm Look forward to getting to know you! =)2

@marcy @junebug17 @Daisys and Diamonds @Jimmianne @Keeliamira @Scandinavian @canuk-gal @bling_dream19 Keeping everyone firmly in my thoughts. Please take care everyone! x

HI:

NIRDI shout out!:wavey:

Mediocre weather outside. Did a short walk about.

Just watched "To Sir With Love" one of my all time favorite movies. Three Kleenexes later....

Hope everyone is keeping well. And safe.

cheers--Sharon

GM lovely ladies! It's another beautiful crisp day out there. We had quite the adventurous day yesterday as it started pouring while we were on the beach and far from the car and umbrella lol. So we got pretty drenched but it didn't stop us. Went back to the car and drove home (where the rain had stopped) and continued with our walk. I have some photos to share at the end of my post.

Dear Kate the Great @Tekate I love the photos you share of your family. You can see the love. I cannot imagine how hard and bittersweet Mother's Day is for all those who lost their mom. I am so sorry dear Kate. It has to me one of the hardest things in the world. Losing one's mom. I am so happy though that you have your amazing wonderful family. Your kids, your dear darling Auti, your dearest nieces and nephews. I am glad you got to see some of the family on Mother's Day and did it safely too. Perfect compromise. Yummmm to Bundt cake with raspberry filling. Yummmmm indeed. I am sorry your shoulder is still hurting you :( and I am glad you will be getting a new one sooner than later and hoping that goes smoothly. I don't know anyone who got a shoulder replacement. It is amazing what medical science can do. Just amazing. Thank you for enjoying my photos. I take them with you girls in mind. I enjoy sharing my days with you. I miss you dear Kate too and sending you bucketloads of pain free dust and lots of love and hugs. XOXO.

@canuk-gal To Sir With Love is one of my favorite movies. And yes we need tissues when watching. Sidney Poitier is someone I had a huge crush on when I was young. And I still do! He is class and elegance epitomized. How did the rest of your son's procedure go? I hope he is done and feeling well.
I am glad you are getting out whether walking or cycling. The weather varies but our determination never falters. Hugs.

How does she get up there...? (I’m a dog person lol and seriously wonder about this)

Cats are amazing animals aren't they? They can leap from the ground to 8 plus feet high! Gracie is a leaper just like Tommy is. Tommy can go from a standing position on the floor all the way up to that Grandfather clock. I think though Gracie must have fits jumped up on the ottoman I have there for their soft landing when they jump down since she is still a baby and I don't think she can jump that high at once yet. But I could be wrong since she did jump from the floor to the window which is almost 6 feet high.

How are your kids doing Scandi? How are they dealing with and processing the pandemic? Hoping all is going well and the family is good.

@springerspaniel haha true dat! Social distancing at its best. Though Gracie and Oliver do the opposite generally as they are all over each other all the time it seems. They love each other so much. It was the best move adopting Gracie for Oliver and it worked. Finally something with the kitties that worked out well. Gracie is super sweet. She slept wrapped in my arms last night for most of the night. It was bliss for me. Usually she is wrapped up with Oliver so it was a nice change. She switches up who she sleeps with as sometimes it is me and sometimes it is Greg and much of the time it is Oliver. LOL we are crazy cat people but I would never say no to a dog as I started out with dogs and I always consider myself a dog person too. Hope you had a good Monday and all is going smoothly. XOXO.

@Austina love that pin. Exquisite. Woohoo to your new freezer. What are you going to store in it? Meat? Ice cream? So nice to have extra storage for food especially now. Glad the regulations are easing up a bit and that you and Colin are being smart still. I worry when I hear the USA opening up too soon IMO and when I hear the CDC's new projections due to the reopening. Terrifying really. Anyway stay safe and be well and enjoy each day and ooh that sauna sounds heavenly. I love a good sauna.

@Slick1 how are you doing? When is the school year over and you can be free of the online teaching for a bit? How are your kids doing? I hear NY is going to be reopening slowly region by region and I see NYC has reached 4 out of 7 milestones it has to reach to reopen. How about your area? Sending you hugs and love.

Thank you my dear @missy for inviting me over again!

How is everyone doing? Is it the GIA essentials you signed up for? They are fun, they are a piece of cake, the exams are nothing to be afraid of. Dear @Sunstorm yes I am sad our visit had to be changed but hoping one day in the not too distant future we can get together. Lots of plans were changed and it is the new normal for a while but not forever. I love emeralds and cannot wait to se your 3 stone with orange diamonds on the side in rose gold. Birthday bling rocks. Literally and figuratively. I am glad these things bring comfort and we need to take it where we can get it. I am so glad your home is coming along and nothing beats our own home sweet home. I get great pleasure from our homes. It is our safe haven as it should be. Yes I signed up for the GIA essentials but never went to look at the course when I got the email 8 days ago it was waiting for me. I am not motivated to even open the email right now. No worries about following along with the NIRDIs. You do what works for you and we are here for you when you want to be here. And you are always so welcome here. You know that dear friend. Big hugs and lots of love across the many miles. XOXO.

Now wouldn't that be something! Count me in! NIRDIS in NYC

Yasss! Looking forward to the visit very much!!!

@AV_ we got some heavy rains yesterday and we were drenched. LOL. It felt good actually but my hair stayed wet for many hours and was not dry before dinner. But it was refreshing too despite the cold and make no mistake about it yesterday was about 20 degrees cooler than the day before. Crazy weather but as I wrote above we adapt and we make it work. Hope you had a good Monday and that today is a good day too. XOXO.

Sharing some photos from our walk yesterday. We went to the beach in Sea Bright and it was empty. We were only there a short while before it began to pour. We got soaked. Then we drove back home and walked to another neighborhood and enjoyed a good walk there and it only rained a bit on and off and not enough to use an umbrella which we took from the car after we got soaked at the beach lol. Too late.

You know what, my computer is acting wonky again. I am going to hit send and then try sharing photos with you. Have a wonderful day ladies and big hugs.

This is the first rain in May here since I came, four years ago, so I am celebrating with a wintery stew [largets white beans, garlic, smoked & dry peppers, grilled bream on the side]. Fun office!

@missy, second @scandianvian 's question - the clock must be taller than I [165] & I have never had a cat jump on my shoulder yet.

@Tekate I feel I am being watched by Autie from your avatar [it has been a very long time since I fit under a bed! - they are rarely made with tall legs anymore] Laughing!

@missy, of course we were wriing in the same time; how do you do it!

@AV_ haha we must be on the same mental telepathy wavelength! OK sharing some photos. My computer is not behaving so I might break it up into a few posts so I don't lose them.

You can see how empty the beach was yesterday. And you can also see the rain cloud that got us.

And snapping photos of my own :))

My hands are super dry from all the washing. They have never looked so bad. Please excuse them and just enjoy Bubbalah. Thank you.

Screen Shot 2020-05-12 at 6.29.36 AM.png

We drove back and then walked to an adjoining neighborhood to walk around there. Lots of hills so a great walk and workout too.
And a wonderful sign thanking all the essential workers.

Screen Shot 2020-05-12 at 6.31.35 AM.png

It was pretty empty there thankfully so easy no mask walking. Hoping that can continue!

OK a few more photos. It's so pretty here that I cannot help taking photos despite yesterday being chilly so my hands were cold as I had to remove the gloves to take all these pics.

We spotted an egret and I got a few pics as she/he was in flight.
Can you see the bird?

And the Bayshore Trail was opened last weekend so we walked there for a bit too.
Bubbalah likes it on the trail. She is very bluelicious on the trail. The light is just right to bring out her bluetiful personality.

Have a great day lovely ladies. XOXO.

Good Morning NIRDIs! Quick shout out a la @canuk-gal before I begin my day distance teaching...It is not fun. I would much rather be in the classroom looking at those adorable faces every day. I have to do this for another seven weeks. Yes, we go to end of June @missy ! I am not enjoying it at all. :wall:
The only positive in this situation is that I get to spend the final days with my pooch. It really is the end of his glorious 17 years of life. I don't think it has really sunken in yet, but it is heartbreaking to see how he struggles. My restorative work has been halted and that is disappointing but understandable.

So many wonderful events happening here! I know I will miss someone and apologize in advance as I am not a words person, I am a numbers gal so writing long responses isn't my forte.

@missy I am so happy you are at the beach. Both selfishly, since I love your beach pics, and also because I think the open spaces will be easier to live with. Hoping Greg is feeling well and so nice to see Gracie just moving in on the family and bed space. ((Hugs))

@marcy What beautiful ring choices...I love the two ruby rings. I think my eyes are drawn to the one on the left but bezels are so easy to wear, especially on our dominant hands. BTW we had snow on Saturday am. Crazy.

@Tekate How exciting to be building your dream home and pool! And to be doing it near sweet Auti is the icing on the cake. Hoping you are feeling well with the mouth and sending much luck for the shoulder.

@Austina I love the antique brooch. Did I read that you are converting it to a bracelet? Sorry you are not able to see your DS and family because of these trying times...

@Niffler75 Looking forward to seeing your new ring.

@Scandinavian I hope your mom is doing well. Love your pics as well. Did you come to a reason and solution for the strange pink diamond situation? I just adore that ring!!

:wavey: Off I go to the home office. Again, I am sorry to get so behind here, but like I said up post, I really just don't enjoy writing very much in my spare time...I do, however, enjoy reading very much.

Have a great day all!! Be healthy, be safe and be happy.

Oh Slick, that is the saddest, my heart goes out to you. 17 years is a good long life! But I don’t know why they can’t stay as long as we do : (

Hi to all NIRDIs. I think I might be back. Went into limbo for quite a while. Today things feel different, maybe I’m picking up all the energized vibes of the Brave silly people who think it’s OK to suddenly be out and about mingling as though we are now in a place called Normal.

Hello lovelies

I’m so sorry @Slick1 this is the worst part of loving them. Hope your last few days together aren’t too tough for either of you. I was thinking of doing a brooch conversion, but David Klass was a bit concerned that with the amount of diamonds on the brooch I found, it might not be possible. Then I found the Deco bracelet I posted above.

Hi @Jimmianne, we’ve had quite a few cases of people with head up their a**e syndrome who think that somehow this isn’t going to affect them because they’re ‘special’ Hope you’re doing alright despite the Covidiots.

One day @Scandinavian we’ll have a grand NIRDI get together, so we can finally all meet and ogle bling together :D

Love the photos @missy, it looks so peaceful there, and I hope it’s making life feel a little less stressful being in such beautiful surroundings. Sorry you got soaked yesterday, we were due rain, but it didn’t appear, glad it didn’t dampen your spirits. I must get Bella out of the safe, I haven’t worn her for 2 months :???: just my heart pendant which I don‘t take off. It’s impossible to get a bad shot of Bubbalah, and wow to looking so bluetiful!

The jeweller got back to me about the bracelet, they say the principle diamonds are OEC’s, around about 1.5cts total, Si1 clarity, and G/H colour. They don’t have it in their possession until tomorrow, when they say they’ll double check the carat weight. I’ve asked for better shots, and hopefully a video and also measure it for me. I’m not going to be in a rush to purchase it, because I’ve got no way of getting it checked over myself, and although they offer a 14 day return period, I don’t want to have to go somewhere to courier it back to them. Ordinary post doesn’t cover that amount, and I’d have to go to a PO anyway. We’ll see what they say, but I don’t want them to think I’m too keen :D

How’re all the other lovely NIRDIs doing?

It’s been a lovely day here today, definitely warmer than yesterday. I’m going to do my blood test tomorrow, and after we drop it off, we’re going to go to one of the deserted places we used to take Dottie, less chance of bumping in to other people. We’re allowed to travel to exercise now (within reason).

:wavey:

Hi Sparkly folks! I hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday  The weather is getting beautiful and I have flowers to plant so I am happy.
@Tekate the cheesecake did not have the NY sour cream topping, I'm thinking about trying that sometime - I'm sure if I did a thread on it there would be many opinions! I am a cheesecake purist. I like it dense and dry and hard to cut with a knife  The crust was an almond flour butter crust.
And sorry @Scandinavian for posting a pic, how was your cake with your doggies?
@Austina that is a beautiful bangle. And your quiche looks delicious! Your roses are beautiful.
@missy Hi beach girl! Yay I'm so happy you are back at the beach my friend. The beach looks glorious and so nice to be so empty. We have lots of family events coming up....my dad's birthday, my niece's birthday and father's day and of coarse missed mother's day. My mom really wants us to come to the beach. Feeling stressed about what to do but I'm sure we will figure it out.
@marcy fun to look at rings! I have a band coming in from Costco late May. Who knows if it will work? We shall see. It's a 1 carat 11 stone band. My cleaning and organizing has gotten lax. I need to channel my inner Marcy and pull out the vacuum today
Love and hugs to all!

@Jimmianne Are you ok? I've noticed my mood is a bit up, down and all over the place.

@missy As always loving your photos. Your pics around the beach house do convey more of a sense of space and calmness. I can't wait to get out and about a bit more and visit the seaside and Whitby, my fave place! I am pining for the salty air, beach walks and fish and chips! :lickout:

@Austina Thinking about getting out in the car here but want to go somewhere where we won't bump into other people. It was warmer here too, but not too warm. Went out for a lovely walk and spent some time in the garden.

My colour change YAG stone is on it's way so will post photos when I have it. I also should get my ring cast this week and I think I gave found a local jeweller with an on site workshop who can set and finish the ring. I will contact them but they won't be open for business till June.

Take care everyone x

@Austina that bracelet is TDF. But of course I love antiques, old cuts are my favorite but somehow the style and work on the bracelet are stunning too. From what I can see now but look forward to more pix!

@Slick1 I am so, so very sorry, no words can help. I am tryibg to hold myself back now after I lost my last Aby but almost said yes to a rescue kitty tonight.

@missy my dear I was just thinking yesterday how long have we known each other and never met? Feels like you have been a friend forever already but you are definitely a forever friend. I loved your pix! Oh I so love Bubbalah and her name too, been searching for an old cut forever I feel. I hope that one day I will have something to join the club even if it will not be as gorgeous as what you girls @missy and @Austina have. After all I will still have time for DSS to set in.

Hi @Jimmianne! how are you dear? What have you been up to?

Thank you @Sunstorm and @Austina and @Jimmianne for your words. I am so conflicted. Deep down I know he is ready but alas I am not I guess. I just can’t make the call. The kids are adults and slowly coming around to that thinking too. But. It. Is. Just. So. Hard.
Here he is today. He’s 17!! Unbelievable ♥ He just follows me around with those mostly blind eyes...

@Slick1 I am so sorry. I feel the pain you are feeling. I have two older cats who are developing some health issues. Our cats are our family! We will feel it very keenly when they leave us for rainbow bridge! :blackeye:

Thank you for your thoughts. It’s never easy but it would be so much easier it happened of its own volition. Making the decision is torturous. I’ve been reading a lot about when it’s the right time. But still....

@Slick1 My heart hurts for you because it’s a terrible decision to make. I couldn't bring myself to make the decision for Gordie...I struggle with that even now as Bailey ages. He’s a big dog so 12 years old is what the vet said is the amount of time a dog of his breed and size lives. He is 11.5 years old...He has lots of lumps all over him. Periodically I have the lumps tested..They have been okay so far...We can’t test them all...I put him on pain meds because I don’t know if he hurts...Your little fella is so precious...He is loved so much by you and your family. I hope he surprises you all and lives for many more years...❤️

@Mamabean and all of the NIRDIs slider_grouphugg.gif

You guys are the best... @Mamabean So what happened with Gordie? Bailey is 11 1/2 already too? Chase has skin breakdown as well. We have tried steroids, muscle relaxers and some other meds, but they were all not worth the side effects for him. Perhaps I should try plain old pain relievers.. I will text the vet that question now. Thank you.
